Problem going from 510 sp8 to sp9

Hello,
          I am trying to upgrade my 510 installation to sp9 from sp8.
          Now, whenever I try to access a jsp page, I get:

LabVIEW was converted from English to Japanese. I do not think there would be an problems going the other way (provided you know Japanese). There are a couple of examples on the web for converting VIs between languages. Can you help me solve ical synch problem going from iPhone to MacBook Air?

My iPhone calendar contains a lot of important meetings. I am about to migrate from my 3GS to iPhone 5 but since I cannot seem to properly synchronize my iCal from my iPhone to to my MacBook Air, i.e. I cannot see any events from my iPhone in my Mac's calendar. I am thus afraid to activate and jump to my iPhone 5, which is collecting dust at this point, because if this calendar fails to reemerge from the "Cloud" I am in deep horsedung.
I have all of the iCloud settings turned on for synching. I have gone to Storage and Backup and hit Synch Now and that update seems to occur via any feedback my iPhone is giving me.
I have a suspicion that since I was forced to create a 2nd account in order to synch "Notes" to the iCloud that such may be causing some of the problems, but honestly, prior to doing that I synched to iCloud so this inability to see my iPhone calendar on my Mac is more longstanding.
I also cannot seemingly log out of iCloud with one ID on my MacBook Air and sign in with another without iCloud telling me that I am going to lose all of my Contacts and previous data that I synched up with the current ID. What's that all about? That does not seem like typically brilliant Apple Design to me. Most of end up with more than one Apple ID, especially since the "Notes" synch forces you to sign up for yet another iCloud ID. I thoroughly researched that problem online at many forums before reluctantly adding another Apple ID.
My environment is MacBook Air OS X 10.7.4 and 3GS with IOS 5 (iPhone 5 with undoubtedly IOS 6 sitting in the hangar)

Delphi5, BDE: Problems going from ODBC 8.1.70 to 8.1.76

I am working on a Delphi 5 application that uses the Borland Database Engine (BDE) to connect to an Oracle 8.1.7 DB through an 8.1.7 Oracle ODBC Driver. We've been using an old version for a while now, and when we recently upgraded the ODBC driver from 8.1.70 to 8.1.76 we've gotten a LOT of errors with 'Table/View does not exist' when we use TTAble objects. I have yet to see if a TQuery works more reliably, but it seems to be intermittent.
Does anyone know anything about this problem, with regards to ODBC settings, BDE settings, object properties for TTable objects?

Okay, I figured it out with the help of a colleague.
It was the 'Set MetaData Id Default to SQL_TRUE' ODBC driver setting. This needed to be checked because I was using case insensitive table names in queries that put the names in double quotes.
Guess I should have read those release notes in more detail!!

Problem going from d2 to e2

To all -
This is an FYI. We just moved from d2 to e2 at the urging of the support
center as we had experienced several corruptions of workspaces with d2
during updates. E2 has solved this nicely but we have just suffered from
a new problem.
We are using window inheritance including inheritance of things like
standard buttons and scroll bars. Yesterday, I made a change to one
superclass to rearrange the order of buttons in a grid. After I did this,
16 of 18 subclass windows were not longer accessible. We could not
compile them, export them, or every go into the window workshop! We
kept getting FTEXEC errors in a qqds.dll module. And of course this was
during testing of the application prior to deployment for a trade
show on Wednesday! Panic city...
The support center explained the likely problem as one of duplicate
tags. Apparently, we had in d2 created window widgets (specifically
grid fields) without giving them names. We had done this variably
on the superclass and subclass. When Forte e2 tried to merge the
super and subclasses, it found a conflict between the tags (apparently
these are system assigned numbers). It is supposed to just give a
warning about these problems but in this case, it completely crashed.
The solution was not completely terrible but took several hours. We
first fixed the superclass to make sure all grids were names. Then
we dragged/dropped the subclass windows into a new project. There we
could access them and give all grids names. Then we deleted the originals
and dragged/dropped the copies back in. Voila! Fixed after about 3
hours and a bit of sweating.
The moral of this story is to name all widgets including grids and to
tread lightly when changing widgets in superclass windows.

Arport express problems going from 5ghz to 2.4ghz

Hi all I'm completely stumped with this one.
Last night I needed to change the express from N 5ghz to N/B/G 2.4ghz.
So using the manual setup screen I selected the options. but when I clicked on update, I just get the spinning wheel and the imac, macbook and ipod could no longer see the airport at all, despite it having a green light.
If I plugged it in to the imac using a cable it could see it at this point and I confirmed the settings were correct for N/B/G 2.4 ghz. It just doesnt want to talk to anything.
To get it working I had to do a hard reset and plug it back in to the imac using an ethernet cable, and set it up again but it seems to only want to work on 5ghz.
I'm pretty sure its not the airport at fault as I took an airport back to the store a while ago as it was doing exactly the same thing and was in warranty, I was told it was duff and it was replaced.
Has anyone seen this type of behaviour at all? I'm using utility version 5.5.1 and firmware 7.4.2
Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest that you try a factory default reset and then try to reconfigure the AirPort Express (AX) again.
To perform the factory default reset:
Power down the AX for a few moments
Hold in the reset button and while you continue to hold the reset button in, plug the AX back in to power
Keep holding the reset button until you see the amber light begin to blink more quickly
If you try this a few times and the AX will not allow you to create a 2.4 GHz network, I'm afraid the AX is defective and will need to be replaced.

Problem going from Lightroom 3 to Camera Raw 4.1

I edit in LR3 then export to the original folder. When I open the edited photo in Camera Raw it is completely different. Not only is it different but it looks terrible. I'm making sure that when I export it from Lightroom that I have the correct version of Camera Raw chosen so I'm not sure what the issue is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Lightroom 3 is using the equivalent of ACR 6.x so ACR 4.1 cannot use the develop settings from that version of LR.
Lightroom 1 is fully compatible with PS CS3 ACR 4.x

Audio problem going from 5.0 to 4.5

I have captured a project on one computer with FCP 5 and the audio works fine, when I transfer the files to another computer with FCP 4.5 the audio does not play. Is there a codec problem do you think? The audio plays in quicktime player on the same computer that has FCP 4.5.
Any hints greatly appreciated.

Problems going from LR 2.1 to Photoshop CS3

Hi.
After coming home after a shooting session yesterday, I did some pre-editing in LR 2.1 (in which I'm not even an amateur yet) as usual. Then I wanted to proceed to editing i CS3 (Ctrl/E in Windows). I only do RAW shooting. But then, instead of opening this files for editing, CS3 displays a dialogue box with an "Open as" option. As suggested file formats are only the Photoshop formats. Strange thing is, that all my previous pictures (all stored in folders with yyyymm format) until my November ones, open directly in PS without asking me to go this troublesome way.
Also, if I choose NEF - I'm using a Nikon D90 - instead of the suggested photo formats, the files will open in ACR and after editing I will not be given the choice of file quality for saving etc.
A couple of days ago I slightly messed up the catalog folder, which I believe I succeeded in restoring, but I don't know if that will solve any problems here?
Finally, I also have PSE 5.0 installed on my computer, but it doesn't appear in LR's "Edit in" list. Any way to solve this?

tried a few more times and if iTunes doesn't freeze when ipod plugged it freezes when switching to "iTues store" or "podcast"
anyone know if a patch is comming to address the issues?

Audio problem going from Premiere 6.0 to Premiere Pro

When I go from Premiere 6.0 to Premiere Pro the audio is messed up. I figured how to make the audio okay at one point ... something to do with 48k, importing or exporting. But I forget what I did. Does anyone know that specific routine?

Problem Going from ACR to Elements

Hi,
I am very new to the whole editing thing. I am using Adobe Camera Raw, v8.2 to edit raw files.
I think i have got the hang of all the settings and can make the file look just how i would like it to look. However, when i then click on the open button and the file opens in elements, it looks nothing like the file i was looking at in ACR. Straight away it looks more pixelated and setting the image at 100% looks awful, when at 100% in ACR looked fine.
Am i doing something wrong?
I am using elements 12 on a macbook pro.

Have tried this and i still have the same problem.
I open the image in ACR, make the changes i want, get the image looking as i want it to, click 'open image' and it opens in the main elements window and straight away the photo is pixelated and more grainy. I save it as a JPG to upload to my photo site and the jpg is just as grainy.
I just dont know what i am doing wrong, the original jpg (i shoot both in raw and jpg) is better quality than the edited raw, even if i do nothing to it, it loses quality when opening the raw in elements and saving as a jpg via ACR.
So i end up having to use either the original jpg, as done by my camera, or a jpg created via ACR and elements, which has a better look as i have tweaked the settings, but a lesser more grainy quality.
My objective was to improve my photos with editing software not make them worse.
Maybe would have more luck in lightroom.

Sample Rate Problems going from Logic to Garage Band

I've downloaded the Trial Version of Logic Express. When it launched it changes the i/o sample Rate that is required by Garage Band (I'm using a digi002 i/o). The result is that garage band plays back at a fraction of it normal rate (sounds like crap).
It wasn't a problem until the trial ran out on Logic Express. I could change the sample rate back inside Logic. Hummm ... what to do? I don't see any place to change the rate in the garage band preferences or in the core audio interface. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Font Problems going from Windows to Ubuntu

Hey All,
I have an application that I am trying to support. It is a old(er) swing application that looks fine in Windows, but the font is all screwed up when trying to run it in Ubuntu in the offical sun release of JDK 1.6. I think it might be the same font family, it is just a lot bigger in linux. I also have the Open JDK 1.6 installed and the font seems to be fine under that. All my fonts are defined like this:
Font font = new Font("<one of the logical font names>", Font.PLAIN, 12);I have read up on the logical fonts mapping to the physical fonts and have a couple of questions:
1.) In the sun release of the JDK 1.6 that I have installed on my machine, I cannot find fontconfig.properties... I do however have these files:

fontconfig.RedHat.2.1.properties.src

2.) Is there a way for me to tell what physical font the logical one is pointing at programatically?

I am sorry I have a lot of questions, but I am new swing. I have been working with J2EE and Linux for a long time, but now have to support this legacy app. I am just looking for a little guidance.

Found a solution. I installed the micro$oft fonts from the ubuntu repository and did a little refactoring. Instead of using the logical fonts, I change all the references to:
Dialog --> Arial
Monospaced --> Courier New
DialogInput --> Courier New
SanSerif --> Arial
Serif --> Times New Roman
And it looks almost exactly the same on ubuntu vs xp.

I've never had any such problem with Logic Express. GB files just load up, and work fine. Did you change anything in Logic Express? There are setting for that there, but even songs I open after I changed LE to 24 bit, work fine.
Wait, are you saying LE is changing the sample rate, and then it stays that way when you open GB? Hmmm, What do you have LE set for? I think mine is set at 24/96, but I'd have to look to be sure. But I am not using the same interface as you are. It might be something you just have to live with. Have you tried posting this in the LE7 forum? Maybe one the gurus there knows what you can do.
Oh, and I am using GB 2, not GB 1, but I am not sure that is relevant.

Problem going from QuickTime to QuickTime Pro

I purchased QuickTime Pro last week, put in the key numbers on the registration form and I still have the same QuickTime set up as before? Why didn't QuickTime Pro appear on my computer?

If the registration info was entered correctly it will say QuickTime Pro under the version number.
You can also use the "About QuickTime" menu and see the word Pro in the QuickTime icon.
What does your Mac say?
