Problem Hyperion interop

Hi.
I have this problem: when we deploy "interop" and when we access to page http://<servername>:7777/interop, i have this:
SEVERE ERROR: The Hyperion Shared Services database is not configured correctly.
Please contact your system administrator.
I try to redeploy and reconfigure database, but don't work.
System Configuration:
Machine A
Oracle Database 10.2.0.3
Machine B
ORACLE OAS 10.1.3.0.3
Hyperion 9.3.1
Any idea??

Hi Atul.
I try to reinstall and we have the same error.
We install "interop" with tomcat and work fine. The different with OAS is the deploy. With OAS is manual and with Tomcat is automatic.
Can i deploy it automaticaly?

I have a problem in creating addon of SAP b1 9.0,
At start time when I build my project but it does not create a file of Interop.SAPbouiCOM.dll except that it creates the file of SAPbouiCOM.dll in Bin folder of project. And as I thing, that missing of Interop.SAPbouiCOM.dll file is causing my addon to be not registered in SAP b1 9.0 PL11.
How can I solve that problem? I edited system form (Employee master data in VS2010(VB.NET)) that form runs correctly in SAP b1 at run time, the problem is missing file of Interop.SAPbouiCOM.dll which will be associated with project1.exe in Bin folder. even if I create another new project, it can not create that file,
What is the problem?

Thank you so much, so how can I add reference of SAPbouiCOM in my project? Because I have added those 2 references DI and UI API version 9.0 but they give errors in each line contains SAPbouiCOM..... in menu.vb.

Add-in Problem: Hyperion & Think-Cell issue

Hi,
As anyone experienced issues with Powerpoint and Hyperion Add-in? I have a user that is using Think-Cell (Powerpoint chart add-in). Think-Cell errors out on me every time exept when he removes the Hyperion Add-in from excel and close excel down completely. I do not know if you have heard about this problem, but if you have any guidance or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Year problem - Hyperion Financial Reporting

Hi All,
I have to build one report in Hyperion Financail Reporting in which I have to show 4 years of data based on the selection of the year but the issue is that if the year doean't exist in essbase application report should display zero under that respective year column. But right now it is displaying years from back.
i.e. In data base we are having 4 years(2008,2009,2010,2011). In some of the report we have to display information last 2 years of information based on the year selection. Supposed if i have selected 2009 year then it should display information of 2008,2007. but we don't have year 2007 as a member. In that case I want to display zero in my report. It is displaying 2011 year data. I've used relative point of view for the above scenarion but no success.
From the above example I hope you understand the scenarion.

ERPI: Data Loading problem Hyperion Planning & Oracle EBS

I am trying to load data from Oracle EBS to Hyperion Planning.
When i push data Zero rows are inserted in Target.
When i look at Table " SELECT * FROM TDATASEG "
It is showing me data but it is not comminting data in Target application.
The reason is Data difference in Source (EBS) and Target.
In my source Year is 2013 but in Target 'FY14' so for Entity Source is '21' but Target is '2143213'
Can you please let me know how to solve this issue?
can i place a Lookup table for this in EPRI.
i am using EPRI and ODI to push data.

Have you setup the data load mapping correctly to map the source value to the proper target value? Based on what you are describing it seems that the system generated * to * map is being used, if you are mapping a source to a different target, this needs to be added to the data load mapping.

Which Version are you using ?
Is it a distributed enviornment?
If yes make sure that the system times on all the participating servers are in sync.

Hyperion 9.3.1 with DB2

Hi Oracle Gurus,
Do you have experience installing Hyperion 9.3.1 with IBM DB2 9.5? While configuring each product (such as Financial and Reporting or Planning)? I am stuck with different kind of errors, i.e:
ERROR, register operation failed in CMS:
com.hyperion.interop.lib.OperationFailedException: Registeration failed: null.Registeration failed: null.
Different errors like: Cannot create external user; or: [username].[table name] cannot be identified.
Do you know what should be done to make registration with Shared Services works? Or perhaps configuring the DB2 database? I really really appreciate any comments..

Did it just go to Abort when trying to deploy or did you get to the 9% application building then abort.
I have seen this issue where it aborts straight away and it usually relates to a memory issue, trying giving the server a kick before trying the deploy again.
If you can, try and get as much memory as poss on the server, i was experiencing this on our development box but when moving to a larger production server the issue went away

Error when deploying HFM application in 11.1.1

I have used the IFRS sample app that comes along with the hFM application and have tried to create the application via EPMA.
The application is created successfully .. But deployment fails.
On trial 1 it gave an error in the Jobstatus log : Error in UnregisterInstance(); along with the following in the EPMA log.

If the application deployment failed for any reason, subsequent deployments often have issues. I've had this error before and my resolution was to clean out the HFM tables. I deleted the application specific tables as well as removed ALL references to the HFM application from the HFM system tables. I also had to restart the EPMA services before attempting another deployment. In summary,
1. Drop the application specific tables
2. Delete reference to the application in the HFM system tables
3. Restart EPMA services
4. Deploy.

Error configuring Shared Services

I installed correctly Hyperion 11.1.1.3, but when I try to configure with System Configurator, it gives me an error for all applications in "Register with Shared Services".
This is the log in configtool_err.log.

I stopped all the Hyperion services and I ran System Configurator again, now the Register with Shared Services was only near Workspace, and again it failed!
All the other configuration was ok.
Now I can use Administration Services and Excel addin but when I try Financial Reporting or Workspaces they don't work.
Furthermore I can create user directly from Administration Services so I think that the integration with Share Services failed (I haven't checked the Essbase standalone option).
If I check the configtool_err.log after the already seen "Shared Services is not initialized".
I notice

Cannot register workspace to shared services

I am having a problem registering workspace with shared services during configuration. We are doing a new install of Hyperion 11.1.1.3
We were able to configure and deploy shared services successfully and log in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OS: AIX 5.3 (64 bit)
Webshere 6.1.0.31 (32 bit) - manual deployment

We have separate db schemas for both shared services and workspace.

Are you able to login to Shared Services, if so does everything look to be functioning correctly, like expanding projects, provisioning.
Can you access :- http://<hss machine>:28080/interop/framework/getCSSConfigFile

EPM 11.1.1.3 configuration fail

I am installing foundation service of EPM 11.1.1.3 on Windows 2003 R2. The installation was completed without error but for configuration, I am getting an error. Configuration summary is as follows.

Cannot start Essbase once admin password is changed

Hi
I have come into an organisation where all applications were created using the default admin / password credentials. I am wanting to tighten security by changing the password of the admin account. I can do this easily in Shared Services, however when I stop and start the Essbase service, I get the following error "Essbase Product Existence Check Fails against the Shared Services Server with Error Unable to Authenticate.".
In the HSS log I get:

I have searched these forums and found threads to load Essbase service in the foreground (isnt this startEssbase.cmd?) and it says I can change the load up admin password there. However when I do that, I dont get that option.
If I change the password back to the default password, I can get Essbase back up and running no problems.
Can someone please tell me how to change the password for admin that Essbase uses to authenticate with Shared Services?

its a longshot, but stop the Essbase service, then bring Essbase up in the foreground (from a command window, type Essbase) When it opens it should prompt for the Essbase password. Put in your password (which sounds like it is password). If you type help it will show you the available commands . One of which is Password. It allows you to reset the Essbase password. Try changing it here then in shared services and see if you can connect
