Problem in adding custom metada properties

Hi All,
I want to add some custom properties while creating a document in KM repository. I am getting problem while adding the custom group in the property structure "all_groups"...
This is waht i have done so far,
1) I created the custom metadata properties..
2) Created one property struture group XXX and added all the metadata properties in the gruop items field...
3) Added this structure group in all_groups. While saving the changes, its saying "<b>These changes would introduce problematic settings: Group item "XXX" is neither a property ID nor a group name defined in the configuration. Check whether it is the ID of an unmodelled property or the ID is misspelled. Click on OK or Apply to confirm these changes. </b>"
After saving it, following massege is displayed,
"<b>The following configuration objects have some invalid or problematic properties: "all_groups</b>"..
Also the newly created structure is not getting displayed in the document properties.
Please help me.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for your reply. I guess I have taken care of the spelling (have done it 4-5 times )....So may be something else is wrong.
I have sent you a screen shot of the problem to your mail id
Thanks again for you help.

  • Problem in adding Custom Provider for Work Management Service

    Hello,
    I'm facing an issue in adding custom provider for work management service. As you are aware, Work management service is a Provider model and we
    can integrate with other systems by adding custom providers. So with that confidence, i have started writing a connector as mentioned below.
    Step - 1: Added new provider xml in the below path
    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\CONFIG\WorkManagementService\Providers"
    Provider Name: provider.bizagitasklist
    Provider XML Content:
    <Provider ProviderKey="DAA52AF3-A147-4086-8C0C-82D2F83A089D" OverrideProviderKey="" Assembly="adidas.TaskProvider, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=5d6f3e6be60a351b" > </Provider>
    Step -2: Added a class which inherits "IWmaTaskProvider" and implemented the override methods.
    public class BizAgiTaskListProvider : IWmaTaskProvider
    public string LocalizedProviderName
    get { return "BizAgiTaskListProvider"; }
    public string ProviderName
    get { return "BizAgiTaskListProvider"; }
    public Microsoft.Office.Server.WorkManagement.CalloutInfo GetCalloutInfo(IWmaTaskContext context, string taskExternalKey, string locationExternalKey)
    return null;
    public DashboardExtensionInfo GetDashboardExtensionInfo(IWmaBasicProviderContext context)
    return new DashboardExtensionInfo { ClassName = "SP.UI.SharePointExtension" };
    public BulkEditResult HandleBulkEdits(IWmaTaskContext context, BulkEdit updates)
    return null;
    public TaskEditResult HandleTaskEdit(IWmaTaskContext context, BaseAggregatorToProviderTaskUpdate taskUpdate)
    return null;
    public void RefreshSingleTask(IWmaTaskRefreshContext context, string externalKey)
    public void RefreshTasks(IWmaTaskRefreshContext context)
    //context.WriteProviderCustomData(
    Step – 3: Written a class to fetch the tasks from BizAgi System which has method to provide the task data.
    But I’m not able to feed those tasks in the class written in Step – 2 as I’m able to find any method which will take Tasks as Input and I’m not
    sure about the format of tasks.
    I’m able to debug the provider, and the breakpoint hitting in only one method and two properties.
    (LocalizedProviderName, ProviderName, GetDashboardExtensionInfo).
    Can you please help me to proceed further in implementing the above solution?
    Best Regards
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
    Although the implementation of work management service application is based on the provider model, I reckon the current SP 2013 RTM does not support custom providers. Only SharePoint task lists, Project server and MS Exchange are supported for now.

  • Problem in adding custom area to ESS

    Hi All,
    I have created an Area in SPRO and done all the sub area, service assignment with the PCD page path. When I click the link on the Portal I get an exception saying
    Fatal error: Area ZNEWAREA does not exist
    In the XssMenu iview, when I change the parameter to any SAP provided area then it works fine. But I am getting this error only for the area I created.
    My environment is ESS BP 60.2 and ESS components SP 18 on Portal 7.0 SP 9 with ECC 5.0.
    There is a refrence of OSS Note 903370 in earlier posts to solve this problem. But this note seems to have been removed from service parket place.
    I have posted the entire exception trace below for your reference.
    I would be happy to reward points and close this issue.

  • Linking Custom Document Properties to SharePoint

    We currently have a Microsoft Office Add-in that, among other things, reads and writes Custom Document Properties. Our add-in includes a user-dialogue through which these values are captured and subsequently displayed within the document.
    We now have a requirement to integrate this functionality with SharePoint 2010. In particular, we want our Office custom document properties to be co-ordinated with equivalent SharePoint server properties (i.e. site columns in Document Libraries) so that,
    when a given SharePoint property value is changed the equivalent custom document property is also changed.
    Users must be able to set the properties in either SharePoint or in an Office App (Word for example) and the changes be reflected in both places.
    Our solution must work with the desktop versions of Office 2010/13 and the non-Office365 versions of SharePoint 2010/13.
    During our initial prototyping we have looked at a number of possible approaches (including Document Property Promotion and Demotion) but are still not sure which appropriate to use.
    With regard to Document Property Promotion and Demotion for example, we found that, if we create a document outside SharePoint, then invoke our add-in to set document properties, then upload the document to SharePoint; the SharePoint properties and the
    Office Custom Document Properties are initially in step, any subsequent changes cause problems.
    If we now change the SharePoint properties by editing them in SharePoint and then open the document in Word, the Custom Document Properties are unchanged. Similarly, any change we make in Word is not reflected in the
    SharePoint properties when the document is saved back to the SharePoint library.
    Our properties are all of type string in Word and type Choice in SharePoint.
    For various reasons, our solution must not depend in any way on Office templates.
    We would like to know what would be the recommended approach to implementing this functionality.
    Below provides a basic diagram of our requirement:

    Hi,
    According to your description, you might want to sync the custom document properties between document and SharePoint Library.
    A solution can be like this: We can add an Event Receiver to this library, it will be triggered when there is a file is checked in or the item of list is updated, then we can
    read/write the specific document properties and sync between document and SharePoint Library.
    The whole scenario would be like this: When a document is uploaded and checked in, the method put in the Event Receiver will be triggered and update the related columns of library.
    When we updated these columns in library, we can capture the ItemUpdated event and update the corresponding properties of this document.
    Here is a step by step sample on creating a simple Item added event receiver:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff398052.aspx
    More information on Event Receiver for your reference:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff408183(v=office.14).aspx
    For about how to update the custom properties of an Office Document, it is recommended you post another question to the Microsoft Office for Developers forum, you will get more
    help and confirmed answers from there.

  • Adding custom panels to Business Process Workspace

    Hi,
    is it possible to add a custom panel to the Business Process Workspace? By custom I mean a jsp/jsf/jsff/taskflow/etc that i design.
    Is that possible. And if yes can somenoe point me to documentation or exemples?
    Thanks in advance,
    Diogo Henriques

    Hi Ruben,
    thanks for your response, but i'm still having problems.
    First the workspace.properties didn't have that property, so i tried adding it but the workspace stop responding só I had to revert the alteration (on a side note, I altered the file in the .ear on the server and then updated the .ear through the deployments list, is there other way to alter it like a properties page?).
    While looking for a solution to my problem I started seeing references to Oracle Webcenter and Process Spaces. Do I have to install them to be able to do the kind of costumizations I want?
    Thanks,

  • Customizing metadata properties in DAM

    Hi all,
    I have been looking into leveraging the DAM to allow for content providers to attach specific global meta data to particular assets. Perhaps I am thinking incorrectly on a strategic level, so any alternate approaches are appreciated as well.
    The problem is, we have a set of affiliates which are listed out in the dam, containing a prescribed set of images/assets/links. These providers can be viewed via pages in CQ5, but also within a set of mobile apps for droid and iPhone.
    The iPhone and droid crews are currently accessing a set of JSON files to get the required metadata, which is placed within the DAM. I think is a very nasty solution, as this data will not be filled in by developers, but rather an affiliate on ramp team. (Essentially a team of Sales staff).
    What I am looking into now, is to store the additional metadata on an affiliate folder as JCR metadata, which I have successfully done, but only by generically customizing the properties for folders/images. Ie, for folders, right click -> properties.
    You can add additional items to the basic properties tab by adding the relevant component nodes to /libs/foundation/components/primary/sling/OrderedFolder/tab_basic/items, even add entirely new tabs by creating a new node at the /libs/foundation/components/primary/sling/OrderedFolder level (i.e. myTab) and then specifying it in the dialog /libs/foundation/components/primary/sling/OrderedFolder/dialog/items/tabs/items
    The problem is that the tab/extra question fields will be universally displayed, and are not folder dependant, so they appear in every folder context.
    What I would love to do, is to have it so that if you access http://localhost:4502/damadmin#/content/dam/affiliate/affiliateA you get your newly customized options/panels etc, but if you were to view properties on http://localhost:4502/damadmin#/content/dam/affiliate you would not get any additional questions being asked.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Recently there was a similar discussion internally & suggestion came from group was
    1.    Create & confiure an acl.
    OR
    2.    using Listener on the particular field you want to hide and then hide the field based on the path. To do this, create a listeners node of type nt:unstructured under the field  (e.g. /apps/dam/content/asseteditors/image/jpeg/formitems/person/listeners) and set the beforeloadcontent property to [1]. This will hide this field for assets under /content/dam/geometrixx. You could adjust this to meet other requirements.
    Verify 2 & let us know how it goes.
    [1]  function(f, r, p) { if (p.indexOf("/content/dam/geometrixx/") == 0) { f.hide(); } return true; }

  • Problem with adding Sun JSF RI v1.2 as a new library in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1

    Hi,
    I have a problem with adding a latest JSF 1.2 RI from Sun (https://javaserverfaces.dev.java.net/files/documents/1866/44998/jsf-1_2_03.zip) to JDeveloper as a new library.
    I created a new User library and added into it jsf-impl.jar and jsf-api.jar from JSF 1.2 RI.
    Then I try to create two new JSP Tag libraries based from .tld files.
    When a .tld file is placed in "TLD File:" field there is no information below about Library Version and Required JSP Version. If I check "Execute Tags in JSP Visual Editor" and click "Customize" button - list of tags in "Customize Tag Library" window is empty.
    I have errors when I try to use JSF Tags from this new library in JSP page like :
    "Can't create tag instance: f:view (class: null). Make sure, that the tag class or a library contained this class is available in this application"
    (free translation to English)
    Is this possible to add JSF RI v1.2 as another library in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.1 ?
    thanks for help
    koli

    Hi,
    This solution is not exactly for Jdeveloper 10.1.3.x I think.
    - "Create a JSF system library." section, point 2. - there is not possible to add library in folder other than User I see, so I added it in User folder.
    - "Register the JSF JSP tag libraries." section, point 5. - in JD 10.1.3 there is no dialog box, I checked checkbox "Show Tag Library in Palette". A new library was added to User folder but there is no new libraries in component Palette.
    Even as I use "Edit tag libraries .." from Component Palette context menu and add manually new tag libraries to selected, there is no libraries in Component Palette after it.
    I feel so problem is with different .tld files format, not with adding libraries method.

  • JTable sorting - problem when adding elements (complete code inside)

    Im writing this email with reference to a recent posting here but this time with the code example. (I apologize for the duplicated posting this time it will be with the code)
    Problem: when adding more elements to the JTable (sorted) the exception: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException is thrown.
    Example: If the elements in the table are 10 and then the user requests for 8 the table will produce the correct result. However, if the user will ask for 11 items (>10) the exception will be thrown.
    The program: The program below (compiles and running). A JTable is constructed with 3 items, when you click the button - the return result should be 4 items - this will generate the error, WHY?
    I would highly appreciate your thoughts why this is happening and most importantly how to fix it.

                if (c instanceof JLabel) {
                    JLabel l = (JLabel) c;
                    l.setHorizontalTextPosition(JLabel.LEFT);
                    int modelColumn = table.convertColumnIndexToModel(column);
                    l.setIcon(getHeaderRendererIcon(modelColumn, l.getFont().getSize()));
                return c;
        private static class Directive {
            private int column;
            private int direction;
            public Directive(int column, int direction) {
                this.column = column;
                this.direction = direction;
    }

    The table listens to the TableModel for changes. Changing the table by adding/removing
    rows or columns has no affect on its table model. If you make changes to the table model
    the table will be notified by its TableModelListener and change its view. So tell
    MyTableModel about the change of data:
    public class TableSorterDemo implements ActionListener
        MyTableModel tableModel;
        public TableSorterDemo()
            defaultListModel = new DefaultListModel();
            init1();
            tableModel = new MyTableModel(defaultListModel);
            TableSorter sorter = new TableSorter(tableModel);
        public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae)
            if (ae.getSource()==clickMe)
                defaultListModel.removeAllElements();
                init2();
                tableModel.fireTableStructureChanged();
    }

  • CRM 7.0 / IS-U: adding custom fields to Business agreement for replication

    Hello Experts!
    We're working on replication of custom fields from IS-U to CRM 7.0.
    Can you help me with clarification of my understanding of these questions..?
    1) CRM/IS-U mapping tables for buag_main:
    Business Agreement(BUAG_MAIN) is a BO in CRM that corresponds to CRM table CRMM_BUAG and to Contract account in IS-U table FKKVKP.
    Table FKKVKP were enhanced with some z-fields,
    so we are going to enhance corresponding CRM table CRMM_BUAG (or CRMM_BUAG_H) with that new fields..
    But we see that these CRM and IS-U tables have far not the same field structures..
    So, the question: Which crm and is-u tables i should look, enhance and replicate for Business agreement?
    2) Access to Business agreement with possibility to add custom field:
    I couldn't find in Web UI where i can directly edit profile of Business Agreement..
    I've found just access to assignment block "Business agreement" on Account's profile overview page..(Role ServicePRO; Account details).
    There I used AET to add custom field..but I faced with problem when the 1st popup appeared: there was no enhanced object "Business Agreement"..
    Also in role "Utilities IC Agent" i've found "business agreement" profile but there I don't see buttons for adding custom fields..
    So, the question is: Where I can access Business agreement profile to enhance it with custom fields for replication with IS-U?
    3) CRM/IS-U data exchange functions:
    I tend to use tcode CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU:
    for CRM inbound event of BUAG object  - FM CRM_BUAG_MWX_PROCESS_EXT_STRUC..(as template).
    Question: Am I right that it fits my requirement to replicate custom fields from IS-U to CRM?
    Please tell me if you need more information..
    Looking forward to your answers.
    Thank you a lot in advance!
    Kind regards,
    Evgenia

    Hi Gobi,
    Thank you for advice. But:
    I've created fields not by using AET - I used documentation that Nicolas suggested me above.
    I've enhanced tables and structures that were mentioned there with my z-fields for both sides (CRM and ERP).
    Also I looked CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU for CRM Inbound BUAG_MAIN - corresponding standard FMs are marked for call.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.
    BR,
    Evgenia

  • Problem in Adding link to Masthead

    Hi All,
    I am a beginner in Portals
    I want to add an extra link to the masthead.
    For this I have done folowing steps
    1. Masthead PAR download
    2. Import this PAR into NWDS
    3. Make changs in portalapp.xml - Adding Component Profile properties for standard Who's Who iview
           whoIsWhoLocation=pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/com.sap.pct.erp.ess.bp_folder/com.sap.pct.erp.ess.iviews/com.sap.pct.erp.ess.employee_search/com.sap.pct.erp.ess.whoiswho
    WhoIsWhoText=Who's Who
    4.In lightheaderiview.jsp file, I have made the changes to display the link Who's Who
    5. Save
    6. Quick PAR Upload was not working. so I did the PAR Upload from Portal
    i.e. System Administartion->Support->Portal Runtime->Administartive Console->Upload
    7. Created iview from the deployed PAR file
    8. Save
    The problem is that when I preview the iview I am getting the exception.
    When I go to nwa and see the logs ..I get the error
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sapportals.portal.navigation.LightHeaderiView
    What might be the reason?
    Please help me with this.

    Sometimes Jar files may be missed.
    check whether you have the com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead_core.jar  file in the path  portalinf/private/exlib/
    Also you can add the the link in the Headerview.jsp and light_headerview.jsp  direclty.

  • Adding custom columns to the tasks tab in UWL

    Hi Experts,
    We have UWL configured for GP in CE 7.1.
    Currently we have standard columns like Subject, From, Sent Date etc. only
    I need to add some columns like Project No., Customer No.(GP parameters) to the 'Tasks' tab in it.
    These columns are required for all the Work items that appear in UWL.
    I have read about adding custom view for a specific task , but not sure how it can be done in my case.
    Kindly provide inputs for this.
    Thanks and Regards
    Aanchal

    Hi Aanchal,
    i have posted exactly the same problem a few months ago, and no one answered me.
    I couldn't find any documentation on how to add custom GP parameters in the universal worklist, in the examples on customizing the UWL XML they always refer to parameters from the r/3 webflow, never GP.
    I really can't believe that nobody ever tried to do this and faced this problem!
    Please let me know if you find something..
    Regards,
    Marco.

  • Problems with adding Library for a MySQL JDBC driver

    Good day,
    I am new with the JDeveloper package, so the following could be a user fault.
    I found the following:
    - I downloaded and installed Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.10 (latest version).
    - I downloaded the latest JDBC drivers for MySQL. ( mysql-connector-java-3.1.10 )
    Now, I did the following steps extracted from the link http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/duff/mysql_and_oc4j3.html it should be quite easy to add the JDBC Drivers to the project.
    I did the steps with the following results:
    When I Edit the Project properties, follow Profiles -> Development -> Libraries
    When I do ' New' , fill in at JS2E the value 'MySQL' and fill in the Class Path (in my case 'C:\javaInstalls\mysql-connector-java-3.1.10\mysql-connector-java-3.1.10-bin.jar').
    In that case the [OK] is disabled. I should expect the [OK] button was enabled!
    My question: Is this a bug? When not, what am I doing wrong!
    Regards,
    Mike

    I tried it on an other system and had no problems with adding the libraries. It still is a problem on that particular system using the Dutch version of XP. The problem is that the Ok button stays disabled !
    Could it bw a version problem with Java? How ever no changes are made to the original configuration, so it should pick up as default the java version of JDeveloper self.

  • Custom Document Properties Don't Transer to Document Information

    I've got an MS Word 2003 document that I've added a number of custom document properties to. I converted the document to PDF using Acrobat Pro 8.1.2. The standard properties that were included in the Word file were transferred to the PDF file but none of the custom properties were transferred. I used the Standard conversion setting and the "Convert Document Information" checkbox was checked. Am I doing something wrong or does Acrobat only transfer the standard properties by design?
    Thanks
    Greg

    Thanks for the response. The properties I'm referring to in the Word file are those found under File > Properties. The dialog box that opens has a "Summary" tab that includes a set of standard properties (e.g. Author, Title, etc.). The dialog box also has a "Custom" tab where you can add custom properties in the form of name/value pairs. So if I want to add a custom property I enter the property name (i.e. "File Number") and the value (i.e. "VTD0123456789"). I am using PDF Maker and not printing to the Adobe PDF printer (although I tried that too this morning and the properties still didn't transfer).
