Problem in BI 7 Authorization

Hi All,
We have upgraded our system on BI 7 and we are facing a problem with authorization.
In BW 3.5 a role has below characteristics and values:
Destination --> *
Region ---> 1
Area --> *
Subarea --> *
This means destination, area and sub area take any values under region 1.
Could anyone suggest how to incorporate this in BI 7.0 using analysis authorizations?

in BI 7.0 the authorization concept has changed.
New BI Authorizations set in SPRO (maintenance in RSECADMIN)
-> During technical upgrade, and if you used an authorization concept in BW3.x
switch back to obsolete Concept with RSR Authorization Objects)
-> Important: After technical upgrade switch back to the new Concept and see
note 820183 and 923176

I'd like to ask you something:
I'm trying to synchronize all my iPod's (I have as many as 4 iPods: 2 iPod touch a 8 GB each and 2 iPod classic a 160 GB each) with my iTunes software (Version 11.3.1 which is installed on a Windows PC (Windows Vista Home Premium)). Unfortunately, the iTunes software refuses to run the command "synchronize with the iPod connected" regarding each and every iPod I have. iTunes just declares:
Synchronizing is impossible because I wouldn't hold the access authorization / rights for this operation.
I uploaded the songs at issue to my iTunes folder from CD's (all songs are in AAC format now).
What is this access authorization, why was something like that invented and what can I do to get it?
How do I have to proceed in detail?
What would it cost?
I am brand new here and have never ever made a post in any support community anywhere in the world in my life. Well, and I am not excessively knowledgeable about the particular computer or mac language but I know the very basics or can find out about them.
Anyways - can you help me please?
If you can't help me, who can do so?
It would be nice if you could answer me as soon as possible!

Yes, others have experienced the problem, a simple search of the forums would have revealed that and the simple solution.
Termporarily disable any security software on the computer.

Maintenance view problem "No data maintenance Authorization; Display only"

SE93. Enter a transaction name. Create. In the pop up enter a title and select 'Transaction with parameters'.
Next screen fill the following;
Transaction 'SM30'
Check 'Skip first screen'
In the table control at the bottom of the screen
Name of screen field 'VIEWNAME'
Value <your table name>
Name of screen field 'SHOW'
Value 'X'
Save.
Job done.

Critical Problem with "Data Ownership Authorization"

Dear Guru's,
I am facing a problem with applying Data Ownership Authorizations and badly needing your help.
The scenario is as follows.
For example "A" is a Product Manager sitting in Mumbai (Main Branch) and person "B" is a Sales Manager sitting in Banglore (Sub Branch).
In Mumbai there are say 5 product managers, no i am able to make DOA such as particular product manager will be able to view only his sales opportunities and can edit,delete it. I have made it with the owner of the document basis by forming a team called "A" and made A as a member of the team.
Now person B sitting in Banglore should be able to view sales opportunity with branch as Banglore and not any other branch but these opportunities can have any product manager (from Mumbai) as owner.
Please tell me how can i do this in B1.

Hi,
It is given on the link that for using DOA on Branch basis, the user and owner must be from the same branch, but this is not the case here.
Owner is from HO and user is from branch office.
Problem still persists sir.

HELP!! Problem viewing video/maybe authorization

I'm Having a BIG problem and it is costing me $$.. I downloaded a movie and an Office episode from itunes. Every time I try to play them itunes asks me to authorize my comp. TWICE. Once I authorize the computer I see it say I authorized ok and then a gray screen appears (where a movie should be) and no picture or sound is playing. I only see a grey screen with the soundbar moving.. Any suggestions.. I followed all of Apples authorization rules. Any help would be gereat.. I have Vista Ultimate

Had the same problems and wrote to tech support.
They reset my authoring and deauthorize all my 5 Macs.
I downoaded again after authorizing my computers.
It worked.

I am Using Authorizations To My Forms (I created One Addon For This Addon I am Using Authorization).I created Authorization For My Addon But While Working It Showing Some Errors
. In My Addon Four Forms are there For this four forms I am Using Authorization based on usres some screens only super user can access. normal user he is not a super user he cliekd on that authorization form it shows one message Your not a authorized user to permitted this operation in this message box we have two butons one is ok button and one is Authorized by another user . When i clicked on Ok Button I am getting error Internal error (-10) occured [131-183]. Please give me Your Valable Suggestion.

ITunes Music lIbrary Sharing problems; repeatedly asks to authorize computer after it has already been successfully authorized

Having a very frustrating issue. I want to share music from my iMac's iTunes Music Library to my MBP. Purchased music plays fines on my iMac but not on the MBP. I can see the iMac's shared iTunes library from iTunes on my MBP. I have successfully authorized both of my computers using the same iTunes account username and password. When I try to play any purchased iTunes music on the MBP, it asks me to authorize the MBP again. Then it verifies that it is already authorized. Trying to play the same song again asks me to authorize my computer again at iTunes, over and over, ad nauseum. I can log into my iTunes account from both computers (via iTunes) which verifies that the username and password are correct. Both computers have the same version of the MacOS and iTunes, 10.5.8 & 10.4.1, respectively. It does this from multiple user accounts on the MBP. I went to iTunes and deauthorized both computers and reauthorized them again, no change. I uninstalled iTunes & all iTunes preferences and downloaded a fresh iTunes 10.4.1 from Apple, no change. I searched the Apple Communities and tried the suggested fixes in the knowledgebase article, http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1389 with no change. I also ran Disk Utility and rebuilt disk permissions but there were no problems found.
Short of doing clean install of the OS or even a reformat and restore, does anyone have any other suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, the only way to fix it is to oddly enough de-authorize your computer and reauthorize it and you'll have the correct number of authorized computer again.
I do not know why iTunes does this maybe someone else can explain why?

HT203433 I have books in my audible downloads folder from three different accounts. In the past I had not trouble transfering them onto my ipod touch but now I get a message some can not be transferred because of an authorization problem ye I am authorize

I have books from three accounts, I am authorized on all of them but I can't get them all to download onto my iPod. This is not a lack of memory, I am getting a message about authorization.
The books play on the computer, so they are downloaded into iTunes, I just can't get them all on to the iPod - hope someone can help.

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them.

NONSENSE problem: can anyone help authorize iTunes 7.0.2 old account?

iTunes 7 is the right proof that perfect is enemy of good!
Used to live in Austria for 3 years where I purchased iTunes songs with an old Austrian account. Half a year ago moved to Sweden and changed my account, having cancelled the old one. Few days ago tried to listen my songs withe recently installed iTunes - bad surprise - I cannot do it now, because it asks for authorization for the songs which I legally purchased while in Austria! And I can't authorize half of my "Austrian" songs, because the old account and old email do not exist anymore.
What the heck is going on there in Apple!!!? Playing bad disappointing tricks on devoted users...
Can anyone help?

Spam problems, any suggestions, pre authorize email senders?

Getting a deluge of spam (in my Mac Mail 6.2). Tried Spam Sieve but spam still getting through.
Thought about a pre-authorization program like Boxbe but, reading their privacy policy is scary.
Anyone with a good suggestion, or success with a particular program?

I found quite a bit of mail which previously went to my Junk folder was no longer routed there after upgrade to 10.8.2.
I am "training" Mail's automatic junk mail filter again, and it's re-learning quickly. So I plan to just keep training it, and before long all will be well again.

Problem with Project Systems authorizations

We are implementing project systems module and are facing several authorization issues. The SAP default values do not seem to work and there are several objects which showup as "not checked" in SU24 showup in the SU53. e.g. tcodes are CJ20n, CJI3. Are there any steps for activation / pre-requisites, etc?

There are chances that some of the transactions codes will call other tcodes while execution.
in this case also CJ20N is calling many tcodes, those auth check would not be inserted as check points in SU24 , hence you should identify them in the testing phase or using the TCDCOUPLES table.
You can check the calling & called transaction values in the table TCDCOUPLES in SE16, according to that you can build your SAP roles.

Problem with User's Authorizations

Hi,
We have a single user that has been granted full authorizations for Customization Tools but she does not see this menu when she logs in. We've removed and regranted full authorization to this module but no luck. Any ideas on how to get this setting to work for her so she can see Customization Tools in her menu?
Administration > System Initialization > Authorizations > General Authorizations
Grant Full-Authorization for Customization Tools
This does not work for a single user.

Hi David,
Something must be wrong with the user profile. Customization Tools should be available for all users. If not authorized, it may only grayed out the menu item.
Try to reproduce it in the test environment first.

I suggest that you run software update, after which you should have Safari 6.0.5 - then check Safari - Preferences - Privacy & see that 'Block cookies' is not set to Always.
Failing that - switch Safari extensions Off via Safari - Preferences - Extensions & test again

Problem in transporting authorization object

Hi,
I am facing a problem in transporting the authorization object. We have an existing cube in development and production. In production the object has 3 authorization objects checked. Now I want to change the authorization object assignment in my cube. So I changed the assignment in the development, but when I tried to transport the authorization object it collected all the cubes where the authorization object is used.
I want to transport only the authorization object associated with that cube, not all. I understand that logically if we are transporting the authorization object from RSSM, it takes all the assignments. But I don't want to do that because there may be some inconsistencies between the system.
Can you tell me weather we have any other way, so that the authorization object is transported only for one particular cube assignment not all.

Steps I have done are as follows.
1. Go to RSSM and select the authorization object.
2. We have a button which says transport authorization object. I clicked on that.
3. I got a list of all the authorization objects there. I selected my authorization objects and clicked on Transfer Object button.
4. Then I get the hierarchy authorization objects.
5. After that I selected a request and everything is included in that request. I didn't got your above mentioned option.
Do you want me to go to the table RSSTOBJDIR and delete all the other entries??
It would be great if you can tell me the steps to do that.

ADE Authorization problems

I am trying to authorize my computer in ADE 3.086137 and keep receiving an error message. I am running Windows 8.1. The message received is code: E_AUTH_NOT_READY. Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server.

Was able to fix this problem and now have authorization.
