Problem in breadcrumb path

Hi,
In my layout set, there is a breadcrumb to dispaly the path for the folder (the one which I open). I want to disable the 'link' action in the breadcrumb for the root folder 'documents'. It should be there for the rest of the path but not for the root folder. This means when i click on the first entry in the breadcrumb, portal should not open the whole documents list . How can it be achieved in KM ???
Regards
Benny

Hi Benny,
>I have tried all combinations of the path "/folder" or "/documents/folder" in "Path >to Root Folder for Navigation" and the the different choices in "Path to Root >Folder for Navigation".
I guess you mean "<b>Path to Root Folder for Navigation</b>" and "<b>Path to Initially Displayed Folder</b>".
>The only one, and I mean only, that works is "invisible", all the others result in a >complete breadcrumb where folder "documents" is included.
Then you really did something wrong. As mentioned above try the following setting:
"<b>Path to Root Folder for Navigation</b>" = "/documents/A"
"<b>Path to Initially Displayed Folder</b>" = "/documents/A"
You should not see "documents" in your breadcrumb, at least it's not there on NW04 SPS18 and I can't remember this breadcrumb implementation to be changed lately. If you are on an older release you can open an OSS and ask if this was changed.
>Another strange thing: if I enter some mumbo jumbo in "Path to Root Folder for >Navigation" it still works in the sence that I don't get any error messages when >using the iView. This isn't a good feature: how do you know if you have entered >the "sub path" correctly? Is "*/folder" or "/folder" or "folder" a correct path?
I can understand your thoughts, but I believe this was done by purpose. Actually there are only few iView parameters required to be correct like "Path to Initially Displayed Folder". In KM you have the possibility to check the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f4/2c6b2089cc784bb384a7ea058de50d/content.htm">Rendering Information</a> to check for problems. For example if you have a typo in your LayoutSet parameter the default profile is used (by default "ConsumerExplorer") and you will see this only in the Rendering Information.
Hope this helps,
Robert

  • Problem parsing the path data

    I am trying to open a PSD doc in Photoshop CS3 and I am getting an error: problem parsing the path data. Is there any way around this?

    Is the icon really an alias? Aliases have a hard-to-see arrow in the lower left corner. If you click once on the icon and do a Get Info, you'll be told if it's an alias, and if so, where the original is, or once was if the original is gone.
    Following Ramon and Buko's advice, I got rid of Norton products and several minor irritations at the same time.

  • Problem parsing the path data - error on jpgs

    Photoshop CS2 v9.0.2 Windows XP SP2
    Received the following error message in CS2: "Could not complete your request because of a problem parsing the path data"
    I began getting the message above after adding ITPC data to three .jpg files. The message appears when I try to open the files from either Bridge or Windows Explorer. Other files are not affected. The .psd master file with the same metadata opens ok. I tried clearing the ITPC data, but this had no affect. I also tried moving the file to a different folder and renamed the file with no success. The files open ok in Windows Paint and appear ok in Bridge.
    I created the ITPC data on one file in Photoshop and saved a metadata template. Then, in Bridge 1.0.4.6 I used the "replace metadata" command on the other two files.
    I searched the knowledge base and this forum. I found only one hit in the forum from 2007, but there were no responses.
    Can anyone describe what triggers this message, and how to avoid it or fix it?
    Thanks

    Foward / backward slashes should not cause issues, as they are part of the standard character set on any system for obvious reasons, but I would more assume that this is an issue in how Windows translates the file info to native paths and tries to access those paths for verification. I seem to recall having read something along those lines recently in relation to some security issues, but I'm not really sure. anyway, does "escaping" the characters improve the matter (\\ or \/)?

  • Problem creating fillable paths

    I'm having a problem making fillable paths in a project. I have an outer ring path and an inner ring path that has a guitar headstock shape cut out of it. I want to fill the ring and guitar headstock shape with a color, and then fill the inside ring and surrounding area around the headstock with another color. I cannot seem to figure it out no matter what I try. I'm attaching images so you can see what I am talking about. I have been trying to figure this out for awhile, and I am quite frustrated at this point. It seems as though there would be a quick and simple way to do this, but I have not been able to find it. I've tried grouping, live paint bucket, and I've tried using multiple options in the pathfinder panel to combine the shapes, but no luck so far. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Thanks Jacob.
    I don't think that was the problem, though.
    Ok, so I'm not sure what I did, but I can now fill both parts, but something strange is happening. When I fill the outer ring, it fills everything, Like this:
    So after I got that fill working, I can still see the other path when I hover over it with the mouse:
    So I filled that path with black, but the black fills in the parts where the guitar tuning machines are too. There is no path separating the tuners from the headstock, but it still fills there:
    I am now thoroughly confused.
    Man this is getting crazy. It seems like it would just work as if I were filling any path, but apparently I have mucked this thing up pretty good.

    if you start javac in your directory
    public_html>WEB_INF>classes>com
    the compiler cannot find the the classes Product and ShoppingItem.
    Start the compiler in public_html>WEB_INF>classes:
    javac com/*.javaThe path
    public_html/WEB_INF/classes
    is in your case the classpath. javac uses the current working directory as default classpath. The classpath contains "root points" of package directory trees.

  • Problem in using 'Path Variable' in Linked resources in Eclipse

    Hi All
    Currently we are working on a J2EE project on which we have established the split-development environment. In this environment we have few UI web sub-projects. These projects are bundled as a one UI project at the time of deploying the application.
    For Example UI proj Structure is as below
    ../UI-Proj-Main/WebContent/sub
                        /jsp1
                        /jsp2
    ../UI-Proj-Sub1/WebContent/sub
                        /jsp1_sub1
                        /jsp2_sub1
    ../UI-Proj-Sub2/WebContent/sub
                        /jsp1_sub2
                        /jsp2_Sub2
    In the final ear project which got deployed on the server we have only on war file which have below structure
    ../UI-Proj-Main/sub
                        /jsp1
                        /jsp2
                        /jsp1_sub1
                        /jsp2_sub1
                        /jsp1_sub2
                        /jsp2_Sub2
    To perform this we have created a linked-source of UI-Proj-Sub1 and UI-Proj-Sub2 in the project UI-Proj-Main. For this a an entry of '<linkedResources>' occured in the .project file of UI-Proj-Main . i.e.,
         <linkedResources>
              <link>
                   <name>UI-Proj-Sub1</name>
                   <type>2</type>
                   <location>C:/myProj/UI-Proj-Sub1/sub</location>
              </link>
              <link>
                   <name>UI-Proj-Sub2</name>
                   <type>2</type>
                   <location>C:/myProj/UI-Proj-Sub2/sub</location>
              </link>
         <linkedResources>
    My Problem:
    The '<location>' tag contains the explicit path of my workspace myProj. If I want to create a different workspace then I need to manually edit the .project file for relinking. If I use the Path variable in location i.e.,
    <linkedResources>
         <link>
              <name>UI-Proj-Sub1</name>
              <type>2</type>
              <location>WORKSPACE_LOCC/UI-Proj-Sub1/sub</location>
         </link>
         <link>
              <name>UI-Proj-Sub2</name>
              <type>2</type>
              <location>WORKSPACE_LOCC/UI-Proj-Sub2/sub</location>
         </link>
    <linkedResources>
    then I got following error at the time of deploying the application
    "Runtime exception occurred in publish task 'Split Source Mapping Generation Task'.Source should be absolute."
    Kindly let us know a way to avoid the absolute path in .project file. Our customer don't want us to change the project structure.

    Disabled where? Project or workspace? You should check both.
    And you must still go to an Eclipse forum and ask for help there, this is not an Eclipse support channel.

  • File Attachment in a Email.... problem with file path

    Hi experts
    I am trying to implement something similar to any email program.
    A user can send email to a user along with attachments.
    I am encountering the following problems:
    1) in IE, the file path is set correctly, but in mozilla only the file name is set. (how do i get the file path in mozilla??)
    2) if i add the file as part of the body in the email, the destination user should only see only the file name and not the entire file path of the source computer.
    any help would be appreciated

  • Nautilus have problem with opening paths other than /home

    Hi,
    I have strange problem with nautilus. When I want to open some path ie. /media/*some mounted device* or /tmp usign gnome-menu "Places" I see hourglass cursor for a while and then nothing happens. Only home would open with "Places" however typing nautilus path in console opens the specified path instantly. If I open /home and then go to desired place and next try to again open this path with "Places" menu it works.
    How could I fix this issue?

    I don't know if you're having a Gnome specific issue or not but I would play around with changing ownership of the problematic folders to your user and see if it makes a difference.

  • Problem with a path in a servlet

    hello,
    I have a servlet - jsp pair that I am trying to deploy. This is an example I found online and I am trying it out using Tomcat 4.1 however I keep getting errors and hope someone can tell me what I am missing.
    I have compiled the servlet successfully. When I try to invoke it, I get the following error:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Path login.jsp does not start with a "/" character
    I know that the problem is in the disp = app.getRequestDispatcher("login.jsp");
    line but not sure how to correct it. I have included the syntax for both servlet and jsp and also the paths where they are located in my tomcat directory
    the servlet is located in the following directory in tomcat:
    c:/tomcat4.1/webapps/root/web-inf/classes/jsp/GuestJsp.class
    Here is the syntax for the GuestJsp.java servlet is:
    package jsp;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    * GuestJsp is a servlet controlling user
    * interaction with the guest book.
    public class GuestJsp extends HttpServlet {
    * doGet handles GET requests
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req,
    HttpServletResponse res)
    throws ServletException, IOException
    // Save the message in the request for login.jsp
    req.setAttribute("message", "Hello, world");
    // get the application object
    ServletContext app = getServletContext();
    // select login.jsp as the template
    RequestDispatcher disp;
    disp = app.getRequestDispatcher("login.jsp");
    // forward the request to the template
    disp.forward(req, res);
    the jsp is located in c:/tomcat4.1/webapps/root/login.jsp
    the syntax for the login.jsp is:
    <%@ page language=javascript %>
    <head>
    <title><%= request.attribute.message %></title>
    </head>
    <body bgcolor='white'>
    <h1><%= request.attribute.message %></h1>
    </body>
    thanks in advance

    Doesn't it seem intuitively obvious from the error message that perhaps you should try "/login.jsp" instead of "login.jsp"?

  • Problem with image path names

    We have a website created in CF4.5 and is hosted on our own server, call it www.oldsite.com  A vendor created a new website which is hosted at another location and it uses the same name and the DNS info was updated so this new site has the same name and now runs when our oldsite name is used.
    The vendor created a new name - "legacy.oldsite.com" and pointed to our old IP address at our office and serverfor the origonal site.  We have lots of customer support info on the old site and wanted customers to be able to find these docnuments.  When we type "legacy.oldsite.com" we land on an index.cfm page one folder above the orogional index.cfm rathee rthan the old index.cfm page.  I have added a tag to this page to go to the correct index.cfm page.  But the problem now is that all the images on the site and the documents are missing or will not download.  When I look at the path of these images and documents, some images start with Http://www.oldsite.com/etc"  some are "http://legacy.oldsite.com/path" (In this case some folder name is missing in the path so it does not work).  So it looks like the path is coded somewhere?  I see no other way that the www.oldsite.com path could be read any other way.  So does anyone have may ideas where I mightbe able to fix this issue and get the old site to load images and documents?
    Thanks

    I never used the compressed folder option nor I'm sure I really understand what this feature is.I can browse "into" an archive, open it like a folder (is this the "compressed folder" feature?). I extracted the sub folder via drag and drop. The extraction was very slow, but it finished. When I tried to delete the folder, there was an error message stating that the content could not be saved to the trash because of long file names.
    I repeated the test and initially created that awful long path which WinRAR was using (pdt-2.0.0GA_debugger-5.2.15.v20081217-all-in-one-win32) and extracted the archives content into that folder. This time extraction stopped with error message "0x80010135: path too long".
    All if seen so far seems to indicate that there's a max_path problem with Explorer (only x64 version?) and system parts based on it (like wastebasket), not only a problem with WinRAR.

    The code from the breadcrumbs.jsff looks like
      <af:breadCrumbs value="#{root_menu}" var="rootMenuNode"
                      id="BreadCrumbs">
        <f:facet name="nodeStamp">
          <af:commandNavigationItem text="#{rootMenuNode.label}"
                                    action="#{rootMenuNode.doAction}"
                                    icon="#{rootMenuNode.icon}"
                                    destination="#{rootMenuNode.destination}"
                                    rendered="#{rootMenuNode.rendered}"/>
        </f:facet>
      </af:breadCrumbs>
    I have now two problems:
    1.) by navigation between the pages(in the definition of the unbound task-flow (adfc-confi.xml)) the breadcrumb displayed only the current page but not the history way.
    2.) after call the form with an parameter (need bound task-flow (task-folw-definition.xml)) all breadcrumb informations are cleared - nothing is displayed
    can anybody help?

    Hi,
    the generated menu model only works for unbound flows. You can call a bound flow from such a menu, but this doesn't show breadcrumbs within the bound taskflow. For this you need to specify that the bound taskflow creates a breadcrumb model and then it will only show what is within. Have a look at the taskflow section in the developer guide.

  • Problem Expanding certain paths in a JTree

    I am working with a JTree and trying to do the following:
    My JTree is initially defined using the following code:
    rootNode = new DefaultMutableTreeNode();
    DefaultTreeModel treeModel = new DefaultTreeModel(rootNode);
    tree = new JTree(treeModel);
    //treeListener = new TreeSelectionListener();
    tree.addTreeSelectionListener(treeListener);
    DefaultTreeCellRenderer renderer = new DefaultTreeCellRenderer();
    renderer.setLeafIcon(null);
    tree.setCellRenderer(renderer);
    tree.getSelectionModel().setSelectionMode(TreeSelectionModel.SINGLE_TREE_SELECTION);
    tree.setShowsRootHandles(true);
    tree.setAutoscrolls(true);
    tree.setExpandsSelectedPaths(true);
    When a user selects a node, and presses some button, I get and save the current path (of the selected component) like this:
    TreePath currentPath = tree.getSelectionPath();
    Then I do some action on it, then repopulate the JTree
    I have the following code at the bottom of the JTree populating method in an effort to expand the path in the tree which was last selected:
    tree.expandPath(currentPath);
    tree.setVisible(true);
    tree.updateUI();
    The problem is that when the tree repopulates, it stays completely collapsed, and I can't seem to figure out how automatically make it viewable in an expanded state (I don't want the user to have to go expand each expandable node by clicking beside it)
    Does anyone know how to either expand the whole tree from the very beginning, or expand just the selected path?
    Thanks in advance for your help,
    Noha

    To expand on path there is jtree.expandPath(treepath);
    To expand the whole tree, I wrote a recursive method.

  • Application Viewer Deployment Problem - War File Path Error

    Hello all!
    I just installed a new CC&B demo environment (2.2SP6 on Apache/Windows) and the application viewer is not working at all. The first thing it does is throw a bunch of errors, such as
    source file does not exist data/tables/updated.xml
    source file does not exist data/maintobj/updated.xml
    source file does not exist data/alg/updated.xml
    source file does not exist data/batchContro/updated.xml
    Then the App Viewer shows the following:
    Data Dictionary Not built - submit F1-AVTBL
    Maint. Object Not built - submit F1-AVMO
    Algorithm Not built - submit F1-AVALG
    Batch Control Not built - submit F1-AVBT
    To Do Type Not built - submit F1-AVTD
    Service XML Built 2008-04-14 (15:40)
    Java Docs Built 2008-04-16 (08:43)
    Cobol Source Built 2008-04-14 (10:22)
    Manually submitting one of those throws this error:
    File path to WAR file and location to expand WAR file are required if Use War File is switched.
    Anyone seen anything like this?

    That worked! Thank you so much. App viewer loads now and all the F1-* items show as built. Only problem now is all the CM xml files seem to be missing. Every time you click something in app viewer it throws an error such as:
    Source file does not exist data/maintobj/ENG/CM/ext_BATCHCNTL.xml
    This is just one of them. There are many, and they all exist in that same CM directory... which doesnt exist haha
    Thanks again for the advice!
