Problem in Configuring the Object Editor User Interface

     I m using NetWeaver 7.0.11 & facing the problem in Configuring the Object Editor User Interface.In the Configuration Browser ,when i click on Object Editor & choose New Configuration & try to select service,it shows the flollowing error:

This is most probably the result of metadata corruption on runtime.
A possible workaround for this situation is:
Undeploy all the metadata DCs of all the CAF applications you have
deployed (these are the components which names end on "/metadata", excl.
caf/core/metadata and caf/tc/metadata (which are part of CAF itself)).
And then deploy the CAF applications again.

I do not want few controls (variables view, stack view) to be displayed in my full featured User Interface. What is the best way to do this. Are there configuration parameters(UserInterface.xml) that could make these controls in visible. Or Should these controls be make in visible only through the Visible Property.

Will Deleting the controls solve the purpose ? I tried moving the controls from the visible part of the front panel. but when the code was run the controls came back to their original position. Then I discovered that the full featured user interface has some code to set the position,size etc of the controls. This part of the code also checks the number of controls present. So I was wondering if just editing the configuration alone could disable the controls.

I have been constantly reading about the mentioned content,
SAP MDG user interfaces from one single place. A dedicated WebDynpro application is provided to manage all user interface configurations.
You can also copy a standard SAP user interface configuration to the customer namespace and configure it to your requirements.
Can anyone give more details about the SAP MDG User Interface or share any links which denotes the same in detail.

The document mentioned in the link does not state anything related to use user interface in customer namespace as suggested by sap in Innovations page. this is more about FPM applications.
Can you please suggest how do we use MDG User Interface in the customer environment directly as suggested by SAP.

How can I tile up the execution window in the Labview Teststand user interface

I am using the Labview User interface provided with the TestStand development environment.
Running the BatchUUT.seq Example using the TestStand Sequence Editor, you will see that the Execution Window will be divided in 4 windows showing the execution status of the 4 UUTs.
Running the same Sequence using the provided Labview User Interfaces (Simple or Full-Featured) will just show one window with the execution status.
Is there a way to tile up the window to display the execution status in the Labview User Interface?

Try something like this:
You wouldn't use random numbers of course, but rely on already opened clones. So you would extend the "Manage Clones" to manage the data for the window position, but set it for each clone in the way the screenshot shows.

To begin with, in file-explorer (.\system32\explorer.exe) normally, the new ribbon user interface in Win 8.1 does indeed display appropriate buttons depending on the currently displayed folder within the explorer.exe window.
But when one re-parents the explorer window handle to any window handle other than 0000 (desktop's window handle), then the UIRibbon fails to do so.
You might ask 'Who does that ?' and I would say no-one usually, however I use BrightExplorer which
is a great little app that gives me a tabbed file-explorer experience.
Now, this app works fine since Windows 7, but with Windows 8 the file explorer introduced the new UIRibbon in its UI. It's that new UIRibbon that gets confused by what I think may be be caused by the re-parenting that BrightExplorer does
to pull a file explorer session into its tabbed control.
This phenomenon relates to Windows 8 + and is observed only by doing the following steps:

What do the symbols on the airport utility user interface mean?

I just set up my new 3TB time capsule and notice the number 1 in a red circle next to the time capsule icon in the airport utilitiy user interface. What does this mean? There is also a blinking yellow light next to the TC icon in the same screen of the airport utility GUI but the internet is solid green. The red button was a "2" when I first set up but changed to 1 when I updated the firmware.

It means that there is one update available for the Time Capsule. Click directly on the "red 1" and then click Update.
There is also a blinking yellow light next to the TC icon in the same screen
A blinking amber light indicates that the TC has a message for you. To see it, click directly on the amber dot...and another window will open to explain the issue and offer a suggested action to remedy things. It is possible that the "message" is that an update is available for the TC.

Transport landscape problem (cannot change the object)

Hi All,
I have problem to change my object in the integration repository.
Initially, i only have 1 XI server (dev and prod), until certain level that i have to add additional server for development. So i just install new xi in new box (fresh). and export the repository object form production and import into this new box.
But the problem is i can't change all the object. is that any workaround to change the configuration so i can use my nex box become development and later on transport back all the changes to original production box.
Appreciate if you can give me some advise.

If you need to change anything in repository
you need to click on the software component in IR
and at the bottom of the screen you will find two checks
that will allow (or not) you to change objects
if you want to change anything in communication channel
you just need to go to change mode
you can change anything in ID

Blank Screen after selecting a role within the new WebClient User Interface

Hi,
I have another Problem with the new UI.
I did all steps as described within the Best Practice Guide for the new Web Client (C04). I used this guide to set up our CRM 2007 System.
Unfortunately no matter what I do after selecting the appropriate role after logging on to the system I only get a blank screen and nothin else happens. Even changes to the navigation frame have no effect.
If I do not assign a business role I get at least this error. But after doing this I allways got a blank screen no matter what I change in customizing.
Does anyone have any clues where the error might lie?

We are at the clients place facing the same problem. After logging in it is asking to select business roles like salespro,marketpro....etc...but after selecting this role we are getting blank white screen in the browser with URl- http://*******.**.com:8030/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_frame/default.htm?sap-client=150&sap-sessioncmd=open
We have followed the latest 2007 Best Practice where we have assigned the roles to user like : SAP_CRM_UIIU_FRAMEWORK
SAP_CRM_OR_ADMIN
SAP_CRM_OR_USER
BP_POWERUSER
In best practice 5.2 this role was assigned through Org Model where as in 2007 first it guides us to get the WebClient and then asking us to create Org Model.
you had mentioned that you got rectified through local server settings on OS level. Can you please help in explaining what exactly you did to rectify the DNS setting????

Problem regarding Configuring the File Adapter

I am making a Flat File to XML File Scenario. I have made all the Necessary developments and the Routings in the Integration Repository and the Integration Directory. The Sender Communication Channel Uses the Message Protocol "File Content Conversion". All the required steps have been done. We have installed the System and also the Basis Team has done the Post Installation Activities.
<b> The Problem is that the "File is not getting picked up". When checking the RWB and henceforth the Adapter Monitoring we see that the File Adapter is disabled and the XI and the BC adapters are green. Previously we were on SP9 and now we are on SP14. The SAP Basis is at 640 and SP9 and the SAP ABAB is on 640 and SP9.</b>
We are also unavailable to see the File Communication Channels that we have created. When the Tcode "sxi_cache is run it is giving an error that Cache not refreshed andon refreshing various times too the Cache is not Refreshed.
Please Suggest us what we should do. Eagerly waiting for a reply and Thanking in Anticipation. Do we need to make some for configurations for that.

Hi Somnath,
If the sender file adapter is up and running and even after that if you find some problem, the first thing you need to do is check if your file has been picked. The easiest way to check the same is to set the mode to DELETE, that is the file gets deleted as soon as it is picked. If your file has not been picked then the reasons for the same could be the following.
- The path that you specified while configuring the sender communication channel would have been wrong.
- While specifying the file name take care as it is case sensitive.
- If you require content conversion then make sure that the parameters entered at the time of configuration are all correct.

Problem in returning the object + reflection + hashMap + list

i'm sorry to disturb you all.. i don't exaclty know how to raise a question in forums..
Here my query is ::::
i have xlsReader file,which will read the data from the xls file.
after reading it,i am adding the contents of the xls sheet in to a Arraylist.
then i've put the list contents in to an object array,
then i'm invoking the getter and setter method of the javabean class.
and i'm returning object,but object contains only the last data of the list,instead of whole contents in that object.
the code is here,where am returnung the object.

You are getting only the last data of the list because you does not have any mechanism to hold other values.
Check inf your code your the following code in the inner for loop (loop with index j)
val2 = getter2.invoke(obj2, new Object[0]);
Even if you are capturing some value into val2, it gets replaced next time the body of for loop runs. This way you are getting only the last data.
If you want to capture all values use arraylist. Keep adding all values to arraylist and return it. While printing iterate over arraylist and print values.
This is not a problem related to reflection or hashMap. Just the logic you have written is incorrect.

Problem in configuring the HTTPS

hi all,
I am facing the problem in configuring HTTPS.I have fallowed the procedure given in the tomcat documentation.I am working with Tomcat 5.0.I have created my own certificate and it was stored in the home directory.
The problem i am facing was when configuring the tomcat's Server.xml file.I have removed the comments and the port number was 8443, which was in the xml tag.But when entering https://localhost:8443/ it was not giving the opening page instead it was giving the "page cannot displayed".
Can anybody please tell me the mistake i have did in configuring the server to HTTPs.Also please tell me the way to configure my IIS.

I did the configuration for the HTTPS in Tomcat.The page was opening and i have did the fallowing modification in the previous connector tag.
I have added the keyStoreFile which provides the Filepath of the .keyStore file.
Now the Https in Tomcat was working fine.

What are all the steps you have tried I am not aware of, but you can try following options.
1) Goto SE03 transaction, on the left hand side tree you have the option "Change object directory entry". Select that option put eh object type as R3TR IOBJ and your info object name. Just execute and you should be able to change the package from local to any other transportable package.
2) Go to RSD1 and give info object name, goto change option and I am not remembering in the EDIT or menu beside EDIT you will have the option to change the "Object Directory Entry", there also you can change package from local to transportable package.

Problem of configuration the requirement output control ?

i am now in a very urgent situation that is the system does not create the message type after executing the transaction VL31N.
In detail :
I have used the transaction NACE to configure the "Requirements output control" and i have created 3 message type (Z1 , Z2, Z3) ( type V6 : handling unit) and i have coded for each of them to check the requirements for creating the messsage type ( the message type will be created if the sy=subrc = 0 after the forms are executed.
FORM KOBEV_Z1.
Check condition from the structure komkbv6
if cond Ok
sy-subrc = 0.
endif.
ENDFORM KOBEV_Z1.
FORM KOBEV_Z2.
Check condition from the structure komkbv6
if cond Ok
sy-subrc = 0.
endif.
ENDFORM KOBEV_Z2.

sy-subrc = 0.

But in fact , even if i have put the sy-subrc = 0 for each of them or for all , the message type was not created as i need .
Result :
if the message type is created automatically after executing the KOBEV or KOBEV , a printing program will be called to print the SAPscript form , but till now , i can not do that , to print the form i have to created the message type by hand ..
Is the something wrong in the system ? How can i configure them to run well ?

If you are supposed to bring across characteristic values to your target, then you will not be able to jump from the result line. The configuration expects that the values of the characteristic marked as being used in the jump are filled with unique values. When you use the result line as a source for your jump, the values in the result line will most likely be based on the sum of multiple characteristic values.
