Problem in Exporting report content to spreadsheet.

Hi,
When exporting report output to spreadsheet, the currency and quantity values are not getting exported properly.
For example : in report MB51 after getting the output, from menu-> list->export->spreadsheet->all available formats->Microsoft excel (in existing XXL Format)->table.
This is happening in Office 2007 only. And when i try to export the data to local file->spreadsheet, this problem is not there.
Do i need to do any settings in MS office excel or SAP GUI.
Plz suggest.
Thanks
Pradeep

Hi Vinod,
I have gone thru the notes mentioned by you, but did not work for me.
: symbol is being displayed, for ex: 1090:96
As i have already mentioned that i am not getting the error when i export the data to local file->spreadsheet.
Thanks
pradeep

  • Problem in exporting report in CSV format

    Hi All,
I am using Crystal Reports. Following are details about it:
    CR Developer
    Product 8.5.0.217
    *_Problem that I am facing:__*_
I can create report in .rpt format, it is working fine here. But while trying to export this report in CSV format, it gives report that doesn't contain any information.
Is it because I am missing something or it is a known issue?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anand

    Hi,
I too am facing the same problem.
The report was made in 8.5. I have exported the report & opened it in Crystal report 12.
I can export to PDF, RTF, DOC & Tab separated Test.
However when I export this report in .csv (legacy mode) I just get the header & when I export it in .csv (Standard) I get a blanck .csv file.
I have  checked 'Isolate Report/Page sections' and 'Isolate Group sections'. Still no data in the report.
    refreshed it too.
I contains sub reports, but not in the page header & footer (I think) & it does not seem to have cross tabs & OLAP grids.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Problem while exporting report

    Hi
I have created report with 7 subreport with crosstab in some subreports. When i run report its giving me more than  2000 records within minute  But when i am going to export report into XLS or PDF or MS Word ,
its giving me timeout in crystal report but if we pass some optional parameters then its getting exported properly(with 50 to 60 records).
Please suggest on above. Thanks In Advance
    Regards
    Vishal

Vishal if you ask my honest opinion I hate the idea of using sub reports. I use maximum of 2 sub reports, and not more. Infact when it comes to use sub reports, I try to arrange things in database instead of arranging them onto the reporting side.
For example, I will check all the sub report codes and see if I can use those tables in my main report. The ones which can be used I will use them and ones which can't be used I will create temp commands (tables) under the Crystal Database.
If that solution doesn't work then I would ask my db admin to arrange something so that I can arrange the report.
Think this way, the main people who uses these reports are managers, directors. Do you think they have enough time to sit and wait for the report to come? Max they can wait is 5mins from my experience, over that and they start doubting your abilities.
Unless or otherwise, these reports needs to run overnight, try avoiding subreports and use alternative methods.

  • Problem after exporting report to MS Excel

    Hello everyone,
I'm exporting a report (SSRS report) to MS Excel, the problem is though the report gets exported fine but the area outside the report i.e. everything outside the columns and rows of the report remains blank there are no gridlines. But my requirement is to
show the gridlines when the exported file is opened so that the user will not have to do anything extra for having the gridlines visible again.
Please help me with this issue, I am using C# for developing the application.....
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi Aakash Kelkar,
According to your description, the report works fine when you export it to excel, but the gridlines outside the report are missing. You want to keep the gridlines visible when the exported file is opened.
According to my test, we can’t achieve your goal  directly use report designer. As a workaround, when open the exported file in excel, click View in toolbar, then check gridlines check box, the gridlines will be displayed. If the workaround doesn’t
meet your requirements, i recommend you that submit the requirement at
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/ . If the requirement mentioned by customers for many times, the product team may consider to add this feature in the next SQL Server version. Your feedback is valuable for us to improve our products and increase
    the level of service provided.
If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.

  • Export report Excel-Data Only works not,'not enough memory for operation'

    Hi all,
we are using in our Software CrystalReport Version 11 Service Pack 5. Crystal report is intergated for .NET. We can not uninstall CrystalReport Version 11 Service Pack 5 to install another Version or another Service Pack.
We are haveing problems to export report as Excel 97-2000 Data Only, "not enough memory for operation" message pop up after you try to export report as Excel data Only.
Export Report as PDF is working fine.
This problems are on Windows XP Sp3 and Vista. On Windows 7 we have no problem.
Please, can somebody help me solving this problem, or to finde a workaround for Windows XP. Memory from PC is not the problem.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Kind regards

    Odisej, unfortunately, processes such as remote sessions are reserved for phone cases only. You can create a phone case here;
    http://store.businessobjects.com/store/bobjamer/en_US/pd/productID.98078100?resid=S6I@hgoHAkEAAGsiyVkAAAAR&rests=1282226845369
Also, just as an FYI, see the blog [What are these 'support' forums good for anyhow?|/people/ludek.uher/blog/2011/04/07/what-are-these-support-forums-good-for-anyhow]
Without phone support, you are left to do most of the foot work your self. On the forums, we can provide suggestions and guidance, but that is about it.
Couple of things to note though. If you do create a phone case, one of the 1st things that you will be asked is to update your app to SP6 - unless you can prove the same issue exists with SP6 (see more bellow).
Something I would recommend you try is to take an XP box, install SP6 on it, then install your app on it. If this works, your options are highly limited. E.g.; SP6...
One other utility that may be worthwhile to use is [Process Monitor|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx]. Run that on the XP box. In the logs, look for "Access Denied" error messages. Look for load or other issues with crxf_xls.dll, exportmodeller.dll and crtslv.dll.
From your responses I am still not sure if you actually did run Modules and compared the results. This is much, much easier to do than working with ProcMon and I'd start there. To summarize, my troubleshooting plan (irrespective of the limits imposed on you) would be:
    1) Use Modules as this is the easiest thing you can do
    2) Try this with SP6 - more work that (1) above, but at least you are on the latest. If this works, banging your head into an SP5 wall will do you no good (like I said, irrespective of what ever limits...)
    3) Use ProcMon - not too difficult, but time consuming as you will be looking over 100s, possibly 1000s of lines and not being familiar with details of CR, this will take time.

  • Problem in exporting ALV Report to excel sheet

    Hi All,
I have developed a Report and now facing problem in exporting the same to excel sheet.
When we click the "Locate File" icon in the report layout, the system will pop up a window with radio buttons. I have opted for 'Spreadsheet'.
When i save the excel sheet into my desktop, the excel file has all the report headers (Title of each column). But no value is exported.
There are around 15 columns in the report and the excel sheet shows value of last 2 columns which has some text.
I have been into ALV report development and developed around 30+ reports in the same fashion.
What might be the reason behind this issue?
When i export other reports into excel sheet, everything is perfect without any flaws......
    Kindly help me out......
    Regards
    Pavan

    Hi,
Here's my suggestion: Install OpenOffice.org and ask SAP to deliver good integration with OpenOffice.org.
Alternative suggestion: re-install SAP Gui on the PC where the integration is not working. If that does not help, re-install Microsoft Office as well.
Here's my comment: I think you should ask this question in a different forum, e.g. in the Duet forum. That may not be the correct forum either, but as it is a Microsoft/SAP integration technology forum, someone there may know the solution.

  • Problem in exporting ALV output to a spreadsheet.

    Hi All,
We have an existing Aging report in our project where in the output in ALV  there is a row for Header data fields and a row below for Item data fields. Now the user wants that when he export the report to a spreadsheet the headings of Header and Item data should come in a single line without changing the layout in the report.
The report is calculating some totals which he wants to get in the same way as it is now.
Please guide me on how to go about this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Saket.

    Hi Saket Tiwari,
Your existing program must be storing all the values in an internal table and then displaying it in ALV format.
Try adding the following code to your existing code.
    data : lv_filename type string,
             lv_filepath type string,
             lv_fullpath type string.
Add the following code to select the path where the user wants to save the excel sheet
the following method will take the path where the excel sheet is to be saved & the name of the excel sheet.
    CALL METHOD CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>FILE_SAVE_DIALOG

WINDOW_TITLE         = 'Select The Path Where Error File Should Be Saved'
    DEFAULT_FILE_NAME    = 'ExcelSheetName.xls'

    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
The following function module will take the path as its input and save the contents of internal table in the form of excel sheet at the required place.
    call function 'GUI_DOWNLOAD'

  • Problem to export a report (to PDF) after converting my reports to CR13

I have an old project with reports developped using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2003 (.NET 1.1). I want to convert them so I can now use Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 (with .NET 3.5).
I installed Crystal Reports for VS2010 and I converted my reports to the new format. Unfortunately, one of my reports is not working anymore.
My ASP.NET application generate the report and export it as a PDF. I use CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.Export().
Everytime I run this method, an exception is thrown...

      StackTrace:
I also tried to export the report (using PDF format) at design time with the "Export Report" button in Preview mode. It didn't work. But, I can export the report at design time using another format type (like XML).
The old version of te report (using .NET 1.1, CR9) work fine. As I said, other reports in that same project work perfectly.
Is someone have an idea of what's wrong!
    Thanks!
    Max.

The most common cause of this problem is having very large detailed images, or lots and lots of images in your report. The Crystal Report engine changed a lot from 9.1 to 13. The big change was from 9.1 to 10 though when we started using the RAS InProc engine.
The Crystal reporting engine is not efficient at handling the images and it can cause memory issues like you are seeing. As a test, try suppressing the images that show up frequently in your report and retry your export. If it works you'll have your answer and you'll need a new creative way to design your report without so many images.

To download  such characteres you need to adjust code page to be used during export. You can review SAP note 73606 to identify which code page is required for this language

    Hello,
Do you use the Oracle Forms builtin WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT ?
If yes , take a look to : "IE7 windows opened and closed immediatly"
    http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Internet_Email/Web_Browsers/Internet_Explorer/Q_23304982.html
You can test the solution suggested :
We have found the setting that we needed, under the Internet Options
Security tab, if you select the internet zone, and click the custom level
button, then scroll down to the Downloads section, the first option is
Automatic prompting for file downloads, setting this to enable keeps IE 7
from interfering with this sort of download.

give it time to boot. the time depends on yr memory size n data. soon a process bar will appear indicating the boot process. if still this doesnt work. try formating the phone. but this ways u lose all data on the phone (unless u backed it). relax! the data on the memory card is safe.

  • Problem with Exporting crystal report to Excel

    Hi !
I am new to crystal world. I have an application which has csp code. From the csp code (internal website) we invoke crystal using viewer.cwr to view or export reports. Last week we upgraded from Crystal 10 to Crystal Reports XI Release 2. Due to this upgrade we did some modification to the Viewer.cwr url ( Changed to Viewer.asp too). Now the View option is working fine but when the report is exported to an Excel the columns are squeezed up.
Here is the code for the viewer.asp :
    ExcelWindow = window.open("http://servername/crystalreportviewers115/viewrpt.asp?id=" + id + "&apstoken=" + escape(token) + <%Response.Write("'"&sReportLogin&"'")%>'&promptex-REPORTDATE='pRptDate'&promptex-State='pState'&promptex-usertype='pUserType'&promptex-startreport='pStartpSelect'&cmd=export&export_fmt=U2FXLS:3&',"ExcelWindow", windowprops);
Is there any way to solve this formatting issue ? I tried changing the export format option as "export_fmt=U2FXLS:4" but this pulled up the data with the report header and sub heading in one row. Please help.
