Problem in loading dynamic library.

Hi,
I am trying to load a DYLIB built using Xcode on MAC OSX in my Eclipse java project. I have used both System.load with obsolete path and System.loadlibrary. But I am getting "AWT EventQueue UnsatisfiedLinkerError" exception. I followed few suggestions got over net, but nothing helping me to fix this issue. I strucked completely here. Please help me to sort out this issue.
Regards,
Anand

Hi,
The DLL needs to accessible in the environment of the server. I have not used websphere, but if there is a bat file that is used to start it, then put the directory where the DLL is in your PATH. Or change the system settings to have the directory in the PATH env variable. This will enable websphere to get at the DLL.

  • Help / Configure PHP+IIS+Oracle "Unable to load dynamic library....."

    Hello,
    I am a seasoned Oracle user and PHP developer and for the life of me I cannot get our development server to load the php_oci8.dll file. I have spent hours searching the web, the Oracle forums and reading the FAQs and can still not get the web server to load correctly. Below are some specs about the environment we are running:
    -OS: Win2k Server SP4
    -Web Server: IIS 5.0
    -PHP Version: 5.1.4 PHP
    -Full Oracle Admin 10gr2 client is installed on web server
    When I pull up a page, I get the following warning: "PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'D:\temp\php_oci8.dll' - The specified module could not be found. in Unknown on line 0 "
    Here is what I have done to troubleshoot:
    -'everyone' user has full access to the extension directory
    -I have tried moving the php_oci8.dll to other directories and changing the extension_dir in my php.ini
    -I am confident that my extension_dir in the ini file is correct
    -I have tried the Oracle instant client and the full admin OEM client. The machine currently has the full OEM client installed
    -All environment variables appear to be correct
    I rarely post to forums but I am running out of options. If I cannot figure this out soon, we will have to go another route for resolution. Any help is tremendously appreciated.
    Dave.

    Should I explicity create environment variables named: ORACLE_HOME and NLS_LANGYep, you need to create those specific variables.
    Nooooo don't use ODBC!!!!
    Actually, I don't really care either way, I'm pretty much technology agnostic. Different things have different uses and you have to pick the best tool for the job. If I was a zealot I'd say "Don't use IIS" :p

  • Problems with loading native library/missing methods:no ttJdbcCS in java.li

    Iam facing one problem while connecting the timesten client to the server The SQL Exception which Iam getting is pasted below:-
    Problems with loading native library/missing methods: no ttJdbcCS in java.library.path
    I am working with MAC OS X 10.7.2 and my timesten client version is 11.2.1.0
    I have also changed the Java Preferences from 64-bit to 32-bit but still whenever i tried to connect with the SQL Developer it gives me the above error.

    I just tried this out. My environment is OS X 10.7.4, Timesten (32-bit) client 11.2.1.9.0, SQL Developer 3.1.07, Oracle Java 1.7.0_04.
    The key things you need to be sure to do (in a terminal window) are:
    1. Be sure to . in the TimesTen environment script <tt_install_dir>/bin/ttenv.sh to set the full TT environment.
    2. Change directory to SQLDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/sqldeveloper
    3. Run 'sh sqldeveloper.sh -J-d32'
    and all should be fine.
    Note that if you are using Java7 as I am then there is a step 1a. Change the CLASSPATH environment variable to specify ttjdbc6.jar not ttjdbc5.jar. For some reason running the app directly from Finder does not work even if you add -J-d32 into the sqldeveloper launch script. I'm still looking into that.

    Hi,
    I have installed TimesTen 11.2.2 64-bit version on 64-bit windows 7.
    I have TimesTen 7 64-bit as well installed on my machice
    When trying to connect to TimesTen (Direct connection) using jdbc from eclipse, I get the following error "Problems with loading native library/missing methods: C:\TimesTen\tt1122_64\bin\ttJdbc1122.dll: Can't load AMD 64-bit .dll on a IA 32-bit platform".

    Are you using SQL Developer?
    There is or used to be a restriction of only being able to using 32 bit. A suggestion might be to try the 32 bit client.

  • Problem with loading native library in java version "1.5.0_05"

    My application uses a native coded drawing. With java version 1.4.xx it was working just fine but with java 1.5.xx it gives the following error at the time of loading native library:
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /home/abyzov/tmp/friend32-1.6.02/libfriend.so:
    /home/abyzov/tmp/friend32-1.6.02/libfriend.so: undefined symbol: XtWindowToWidget
    I assumed that java loads all necessary X-libraries at start up but it seems to be not true for version 1.5.xx. Does anybody now about this kind of problems? Should I report it as a bug?

    I have this exact same problem. I developed an application all along using 1.4.2_08 to be exact no problems. I was forced to switch to 1.5.0_06, now when I try to run the app I get:
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: <path to library>/libcomlib.so: <path to library>/libcomlib.so: undefined symbol: yp_get_default_domain
    I have tried compiling it in both 1.4.2_8 and 1.5.0_06 and it compiles perfectly but when I run with 1.5.0_06 it messes up.
    If you found the problem with this or anyone else has any advice please let me know.

  • Problem in loading the library through Servlet

    Hello,
    When i wrote an application which accesses my java component that has native methods and it loads the library that has the implementation of these methods, it works perfectly fine.
    But now when i am trying to access the same component through a servlet it is giving an error saying : "no library xyzDLL (xyzDLL.dll) in java.library.path" . When i have my component, servlet code and the DLL in the same directory.
    The code that is there in the component is :
    public class MyComponent {
         public native int create(double id, int a) ;
         static {
              System.out.println("loading the Library ...." ) ;
              System.loadLibrary("xyzDLL") ;
              System.out.println("Library Loaded successfully") ;
    And when i try to access the method in the servlet like :
    MyComponent com = new MyComponent() ;
    com.create(12.5,4) ;
    Can anyone please help me out how this can be solved. I feel like i have to keep the components and the DLL at a proper directory location. Can anybody help me out where should i keep these.
    I am using IBM Websphere Standard edition.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
    The DLL needs to accessible in the environment of the server. I have not used websphere, but if there is a bat file that is used to start it, then put the directory where the DLL is in your PATH. Or change the system settings to have the directory in the PATH env variable. This will enable websphere to get at the DLL.

  • Problems with loading native library/missing methods: no ttJdbc1121 in java

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me? I keep getting this error when trying to start my jboss server. I have no problem with this when i run my standalone java application. My jboss version is 4.2 and my timesten version is 11.2.1.6.1 . My oracle version is 10G express edition. Any ideas?
    Thank you very much.

    The TimesTen JDBC driver is not a pure Java driver. It requires to load several native code libraries. Most appservers have to be told what directories to search for those libraries (a bit like the O/S LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable). This error occures when you have not told the appserver where to look to find hte native code libraries (<tt_install_dir>/lib).
    I'm not a JBOSS expert so I can't advise you on this; you need to consult the JBOSS documentation to find out what parameter/setting you need to modify to fix this.

  • Cant load dynamic Library

    I am trying to use JNI calls to C library in UNIX environment. I tried to run a simple hello world application using
    java -Djava.library.path=. com.fedex.jni.Hello
    I have the "libHello_JNI.so" library in the current directory. But why is it still complaining
    Exception in thread "Main Thread" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no Hello_JNI in java.library.path
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:1682)
    at java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0(Runtime.java:823)
    at java.lang.System.loadLibrary(System.java:1030)
    at com.fedex.jni.Hello.<clinit>(Hello.java:6)
    I have tried setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the directory containing "libHello_JNI.so". Even that did not work !!
    Can anyone help me ?

  • Re: (forte-users) [FORTE LIBS] Loading forte library'libqqrt.sl' proble

    Loading dynamic library /forte/install/lib/libqqix.a
    SYSTEM ERROR: System Error: No such file or directory, loading the library
    '/forte/install/lib/libqqix.a'
    USER ERROR: The dynamic library libqqix for the project Informix could not
    be found.
    ......................................This seems to be a rather simple (or common ? :)) library loading
    problem to me.
    Please note that libqqix.a is not a dynamic library, it is a static
    one :)
    I do not know AIX exactly, but maybe the commands are the same as I
    know them from Solaris (and Sinix, broaaf :) ).
    Make yourself convenient with following ones:
    ldd - to check what libraries one needs, and if they can be found
    truss - to trace system calls (f.e. library load attempts and so on)
    Make sure that your LD_LIBRARY_PATH (or equivalent under AIX) is set
    correctly, and more important, for that process (!) that fails to load
    the Informix library.
    Since the libraries are loaded in chain, if a library needs another that
    is not loaded yet, then it will be tried to load, it may happen that one
    library can not be loaded (for whatever reason) that the Informix library
    needs. In this case you will only see that informix library can't be loaded.
    But if you know that as I told you, you can track the problem using ldd. :)
    Again, this problem seems neither a Forte, nor an Informix, but rather a
    configuration problem to be for me.
    Just my $0.02
