Hi Raghvendra Bhanap,
declare the variable with the same name of text box(In module pool) and in the PAI even write the module by double clicking on that in your program just assign some text to that name then the text automatically come in that text box.
See this example programm.
*In Screen Painter PAI Event.*
moudle assigntext.
In your Program.
Data w_name(40). (*In the module pool also put this name only)
Module assigntext.
w_name = 'Raghvendra Bhanap'.

Strange problem in module pool programming

Hi all,
we have a module pool program which consists of screen 100 and 200 and 3 sub-screens 201,202 and 203.the problem is when we double click on any field we get a pop up message which should appear only when we press the 'SAVE' button for which ok_code is 'CHNG'.I have debugged the program for screen 100 pbo,pai,200 pbo but the value of ok_code is not equal to 'CHNG' then it takes me to screen 200 and when i double click then popup appears and and in 200 PAI the value of ok_code had already got changed to 'CHNG' without entering the change logic and I have not even pressed the SAVE button which has 'CHNG' code associated with it.Can any one help me solve this problem.I wish I could give a better explanation.

Hi,
This is because the Shortcut key assigned to SAVE button in PF-STATUS is "F2". F2 is for Double Click. Assign some other Function Key to SAVE or any Button. Try to avoid assigning F2 key.
This would solve the problem.

List Box Problem In MODULE POOL PROGRAM(EDIT MODE)

I Have Developed A MODULE POOL PROGRAM ,
It Basically Consists Of CREATE EDIT and DISPLAY Modes.
CREATE MODE:
When I am Creating For Example FORM NO 1,it is having Fields With drop down list box with values
A,B and C. if I Choose A then That form will Get Created With A value and Form 1 will be created.
EDIT MODE:
The same form If u want to edit In EDIT Mode ,it is displaying value A and it Showing the list box in the fillowing Manner.A,B,C,and A.(This is what the problem I am Facing Know).It Is Displaying the value two times.How to Avoid this ,PLs Help me in this regard.

Where ever you are populating the List Box, write a REFRESH statement just before that.
Means Refresh the old content and add new content

Screen problem in Module pool program

Hi all,
I have developed a module pool program, in which i have used simple selection screen and after executing it will call screen 9001 to display the data. everything is goin fine but if i leave my output screen as it is for some time (or even if i lock my system then unlock it) i am getting an error message
"Selection screen ZDEV1110PGM_SF 1000 was not called using CALL SELECTION-SCREEN".
do any one have idea why this is happining without doing anything further to the output.

Data type selection Problem in ztable to use in the Module Pool Program

Dear Experts,
I have created a z-table which is used in Module Pool Program in which i have to save the information saved by the endusers in z-table. But the problem comming is that the amount of information saved by the endusers is so havey & our table is just limited for the 50 characters which is not sufficiet. So I urge you to please tell me what & which type of data type should I have to use to store maximum amount of information in our zt-able which is available in SAP ECC6.0.

u can resolve ur problem in following ways,
1. You can declare the field in a table without an Data element.
i.e. In the length field . using F4 help in length field how many characters u want u enter.
2. In the same u can search for an standard data element and use the same.
3. Creating an custom data element .

Problem in Select-option in Module Pool Programming

Hi,
I'm making one module pool programming. In that, I've to make select-option. For that I'm using this command --
1) In PBO --
CALL SUBSCREEN sub INCLUDING 'YBOE_PRINT' '5100'.
2) In PAI --
CALL SUBSCREEN sub.
But, Syntax Error is generated as below --
"." or "ID.........FIELD" expected after "SUBSCREEN"

Thanks for replying. But, even if I changed Prog_Name with term 'repid', that same error regarding
"." or "ID ... FIELD ..." expected after "SUBSCREEN"
is coming up.
I guess, there is any step missing.
Lemme describe what I'm doing in points --
1) I declared SELECTION-SCREEN with screen no --
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 5100 AS SUBSCREEN.
      PARAMETERS : p_bukrs TYPE ekko-bukrs OBLIGATORY DEFAULT '1000'.
      SELECT-OPTIONS: kunnr FOR kna1-kunnr.
      select-options: gjahr for bsid-gjahr.
      select-options: bank for bsed-bank.
      select-options: budat for bsid-budat.
      SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN 5100.
2) Then I made a call in PBO as given above.
3) Finally, a call to that subscreen is made in PAI - again as given above.
When I checked that, this gave the error.
Are you looking any erroneous step ...?

How to make a fld mandatory in module pool program?

I need help on following 2 things
I have module pool program created, in that many screen subscreens created.
1.I want to make a field mandatory
second one is, I have a general tab and data tab.
General tab screen - 2101
Data tab = 2102
In general tab, I have edited the values (change mode), when change the values and try to save it,
It is holding old value.but If i exucute the transaction once again, it is showing the changed value(new value)
For ex: there is a date field value is 03/08/2009
If I change this to 03/09/2009 and press on Save button from the standard menu, still it is showing the value 03/08/2009. but I execute this transaction once again it is showing the value as 03/09/2009

Go to the properties of the filed select program tab and say input required.
then you will get the problem solved.
For second one actually its saving but not displaying the saved value at the same time ,
for this you write the select statement after saving , so that once save is execute m, select statement also will execute and it will display the newly saved value.
so after saving imdeatly u write the select statement.
like case sy-ucomm.
when 'SAVE'.
insert ztable.
select filed from z table.
endcase.

How to change the logon language in module pool program?

Hello All,
I had created a module pool program and had desiged a screen.
When i am logged in English language i am able to see them in english as per the requirement it is working fine.
But the requirement is wen i am logged in DE then the selection-screen texts should show in English and not in German.
Kindly give me a solution for this.

Hi Rajesh,
This problem is because you have maintained a standard dictionary fields on selection screen and all the standard dictionary fields are maintained in DE language, on the screen layout, go to the attributes of that particular text field, there is a option MODIFIZ for dictionary fields (it is a drop down), selection F TEXT, now whatever the text u will define, it will remain same for all the languages, once u do this then u again login in DE,l u will see the text maintained by u and not the DE text.

Runtime errors in module pool programming

HI all,
I have done a module pool program for invoice tracking level wise.
I am encountering a runtime error, LIST_TOO_MANY_LPROS, while execution ie., for two and more than two updations of the database.
The error analysis says that "At present, the maximum permitted number of nested screen levels is restricted to 50".
Short Text :- "No further list processing possible".
Can anyone please come out with a solution for this problem.

U should replace the comand CALL SCREEN with LEAVE TO SCREEN.
The command CALL SCREEN create an internal mode to link the calling screen to called screen automatically: in this way when it needs to back to calling screen it doesn't need to specify the screen number but only to use:
- LEAVE TO SCREEN 0.
or
- SET SCREEN 0. LEAVE SCREEN.
Now if you use LEAVE TO SCREEN, u need to indicate the screen when it needs to back to calling screen:
- Go from 100 to 200
LEAVE TO SCREEN 200. (Instead of CALL SCREEN 200)
- Back to 100.
LEAVE TO SCREEN 100. (Instead of LEAVE TO SCREEN 0)

Select-options in module pool programming

hi,
I need to have four fields as part of my layout that are select-options fields with multiple values entry options. Since layout doesnt have 'select-options" functionality, i defined it from the module pool program, ie: I wrote a selection screen in the PBO module. The problem is if i make any changes to the code, the layout changes back to the previuos format.
Is there any way in which i can combine selection-screen logic with my layout.

Only for Executable Programs
If you do not specify a selection screen version, the system automatically creates a selection screen based on the selection criteria of the logical database and the parameters and select-options statements in the program.
If you want to use a different selection screen of the logical database, enter a number in this field. The number must be smaller than 1000 and correspond to an additional selection screen of the logical database. The possible values help displays a list of available selection screens. You can also look in the selection include of the logical database (program DBxxxSEL, where xxx is the name of the logical database).

3. Then, in the screen flow logic code as follows:

HOw to find Report program associated module pool program?

HOw to find Report program associated module pool program?
I.e
Me21n is the tcode.I want to find screens related to this tcode.
Associated report program is RM_MEPO_GUI.(It has no screens hence it is a report program).
(if module program is attached to tcode,i can easily find entries in d020s)
Here report program is calling a module pool program SAPLMEGUI(Has screens).
If i give the Tcode Me21n,i want to list out all the screens of it..
Can u give any suggestion....

Manually i can see it (by seeing in system-status)..
programmatically i want to know..
for ex:if u take Tcode:Va01
we can get program (dialog) and tcode in Tstc table .
If we know the program name(dialog), we can find program and screens in d020s table.
Va01 is atatched to a module pool program..No problem to find screens..
In case of me21n,
It is atatched to report program(calling module pool program)..
Here i could not be able to get the screens ..
I think u undrstood my problem..

Module pool programming query

Dear friends,
I have a problem in handling tabstrips in module pool programming.
the problem is when i go to next screen it gets initiated to the tab number which i have declared in the data part.
but the data in the screen remains intact.
after pressing the option in the status it gets initiated and then i have to click the particular tab to go the tab and to see the changes get affected.
how to solve this problem.
