Problem in running a jar on the web

Hi ppl,
I have a jar file which has an applet code...i created a .html file and tested it on my system... it worked fine....
Now i want to test it on the net. If i upload the jar file and the html file on to some free web space(like tripod.com) and run from it, it isnt working? Any idea if there is a basic flaw in what I am doing???

hey its working now...The problem was with the jar creation....
can someone tell me if we can add a file to a signed jar file just like we add to the normal jar using -uf

Displaying report in .pdf format while Running oracle reports over the web

I am running a report over the web via IE. I am suing .pdf
format as the file type. The problem I am facing is that the
report comes out with a blank in acrobat reader if there are
just one or two records - i.e less thatn one pagefull. THe
reports displays output only when there ar more than one
pagefull of records.
Any explanation for this bezarre behavior and any suggestions?

in R12 I found 2 choice
1) when submitting requests (if available) you can set the output format by using the Options button (upon sompletion section):
layout --> format --> select format you need (RTF/HTML/EXCEL/PDF)
2) in the request form (view->request) selecr the report you want to reprint in the Tools menu select print/republish, in the html page that pop up select output format you want, number of copies =1 submit

Running a jar from the command line

I am trying to run a Jar from the command line. I have a number of classes in a package called "trainnn".
I put all the classes into a jar
jar cvf name.jar trainnn\*.classI then creat a file called mainClass.txt with the line (with a blank return line after it, where QueryMatch has the main). This file was placed in the same directory as the package and the jar file
Main-Class: QueryMatch
then
jar cmf mainClass.txt network.jar G:/TrainNN/src/trainnn/QueryMatch.classthis worked fine.....but it is from here I have problems when I try run the jar
java -jar network.jarbut get this error.
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: QueryMatch
I cant figure out this error, I have tried specifying the exact path in the mainClass.txt file but that didnt work.
Any ideas

To start a java app in the command line with "java -jar yourJarFile.jar", the jar needs to have a mainfest file "MANIFEST.MF" in a folder called "META-INF". The manifest file would have to contain the name of your starting class, e.g. it could look like thisManifest-Version: 1.0

Problems Calling Graphics by Forms on the Web

I'm not able to call a graphic on the web using Forms6i (Version 6.0.8.8.0 (Production)) and Graphics (Version 6.0.5.33.0).
I made a call to a graphic using the RUN_PRODUCT built-in.
On a client-server connection the call has no problem.
On the Web i have no error messages, no results!!!
I tried to populate a chart item with the graphic (always with RUN-PRODUCT) and i had a correct result but when i tried to enlarge the item i had an error message (FRM-92100: Your connection to the Server was interrupted with him detail composed by a lot of java exceptions).

Start by setting the "Java console" on in the Jinitator control panel on the client machine. This will show you if Jinitator is called and if it is downloading the correct Jar files.
If you weren't prompted to install Jinitator I would guess you have some security setting you need to set in your IE to allow the download of an exe file.

I've installed Forms Server in another Oracle home called 'dev6i'. I've the f60web.jar and 11 other .jar files in \dev6i\forms60\java directory. I've installed the forms server successfully (I can say this because I was able to run the test form successfully couple of times, until I installed reports server in the same Oracle home. Then it started giving this message in the java console). I've also installed Webdblistener. My reports test page is displaying correctly though. Any ideas what might have happened??

What am I doing wrong when running multiple applications with the Web Server enabled ?

I am running multiple Vi's (applications) on the same Nt Workstation and the Web Server is enable for all applications. However, I am able to view only one Panel from the browser. Only the first application that is started can be viewed. What am I doing wrong ?

Only one application can act as a web server at the default http port 80.
To solve this either run all VIs into a single application or use different
http ports for each application. For example an application can use the
default port 80 and others use ports 8080, 8081, 8082 etc.
In the browser, you enter the URL for non default ports as
http://hostname:8080/...

Since I upgraded to Lion 10.7.2, my external HD is no longer visible in AirPort utility (in the AirPort disks tab). I also installed the AirPort utility for iOS5, it reported a disk problem, but running Disk Utility on the Mac showed no issues. Help!

To expand on the question, I have performed the following steps:
1 - Unplugged external drive (1TB WD MyBook) from the Time Capsule
2 - Reconnected it. At this point, AirPort utility for iOS5 reported a problem with the disk (Time Capsule light was blinking Orange)
3 - Unplugged external drive, connected it to MacBook Pro, ran Disk Utility. It found no problems (disk visible straight away on the MacBook Pro).
4 - Reconnected to Time Capsule - still doesn't show up under the "Disks" option under Air Port utility. Or rather, the hardware is visible (i.e the physical disk) but not the volume.
5 - I tried another external hard drive, and the volume also doesn't appear in the Disk section under the AirPort utility.
The WD disk is formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
This is a big problem for me, as the drive houses my iTunes library.
Anyone else had a similar problem? It all worked flawlessly until last week.

Have managed to fix this already. Been working the issue for a few days now, and a few minutes after writing the above post I decided to reset the Time Capsule to factory default settings.
After entering all my details again (used same network names, passwords etc) the Time Capsule was rebooted. When it came back on line - guess what? Yep, the MyBook WD drive is now visibile. I can connect via the network from my other machines to the drive, and iTunes is back.
So - thought I would post my resolution in case it helps others.

Problem of opening PDF files on the web

I have installed the latest version of Acrobat Reader, but I still couldn't read some PDF files on the web, what should i do?

1. Which browser are you using?
2. Are there some specific files that you are unable to load in the browser? Can you share the link?
3. In Reader DC, go to Edit->Preferences->General and click on "Select As Default PDF Handler" button. Then try loading those PDFs.

Problem while opening Bex query on the web

Hello BW experts,
I have a problem while opening Bex query from my SAP Favorites.See below.
When i double click on the query, i get the following page, with the server name KBWS01QX.
But, from RSRT Tcode, select the query > query display as HTML > Click on ABAP Web , click execute as shown below, it is going to the correct URL as in the 2nd screen shot below.
My question is why is it going to the wrong URL when i open it from SAP Favorites menu?
I want it to open the same URL as it opened from RSRT(which is the right one)
What is the Config needed to make it to work from SAP favorites.
Any help would be appreciated.

From RSRT, this time I clicked on JAVA WEB, and i get the below URL, which is the same URL i was getting when i executed the query from SAP favorites.

Bluetooth Problems when running other programes in the background

I have been experiening problems with the bluthooth conenctivity on my 2012 Macbook Air.
It is the 2.0GHZ i7 8GB RAm with 256Gb flash storage model released June 2012.
I use it in clamsehll mode hoked up to an external HD monitor using the Mini display port to HDMI adaptor and then link it to an external LG soundbar using bluetooht for audio.
No other device has any issue linking ot the LG soundbar but when i am using my Macbook air and downloading something, even a tiny file that might only be goign at a speed of a few kb/s ( I have very slow internet speed ) it casues the bluetooth to cut out every 5-10 seconds and then some times it will work for an hour uninterupted.
The only other bluthooth device I have connected is my Magic Trackpad and I have tried it without this with the same results occuring.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so has nayone found a soltuion so that i can run a basic video file and hear the sound clearly and uninteruopted while using my Macbook to to run some other vey basic tasks in the background?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe the process to do this is to:
1) Go to transaction SM36 to create a batch job.
2) Enter a job name
3) Select "Step", specify the ABAP program name (for ME2M, this is RM06EM00), then type in the variant you wish to use
4) Save, then go to Start Condition and specify when you want this batch job to run, along with the frequency
Edit - nevermind, I misunderstood the issue. I am unsure of how to have the layout automatically populated.

Problems with running DVDs/CDs on the Windows side

Hey there,
I've been having some problems running some DVDs and CDs on my drive on the Windows side. It works fine on the Mac side. The only thing that run properly is the Mac Installation CD. When I pop in a DVD movie, it functions 90% fine. But when I pop in a blank CD/DVD to burn something or run a CD of Data, it won't work.
Does anyone know why? And how to have it work?

Running a jar in the background on Linux

I have a server that's made in Java. However, when I run it I have to keep the console window open which kind of defeats the purpose of running it on a remote server if my computer has to stay on as well. I can run it in the background at least, but the console window my stay up. Is there a way it can run without my console window open? Is making it a service the only way?

Nohup would do it. Or google "linux services" for countless tutorials on running services on *nix

Is it possible to develop an Iphone App that will run a .jar on the users PC? (the APP's only goal is to distribute what is actually a java program for a PC)

So yeah, I've built myself a killer tool for PC's. And in my search for a nice way to distribute this must-have tool, I am considering using the Istore. Hence, my question.
What I am looking for is a simple App, and all it does is put this .jar file on the users PC. And maybe activate it too, so that the user doesnt have to double click it. And OK, maybe first check whether the user's got java installed, and otherwise prompt him to do so.
Would this be possible? Is there anyone who would like to do this for me? If so I'd be glad to hear at what cost?
