Problem restarting my Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3
I am having a problem restarting my Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.
If I try to restart or republish my server, it gives me the error 'weblogic.management.ManagementException: Unable to obtain lock on D:\user_projects\userdomain\servers\AdminServer\tmp\AdminServer.lok. Server may already be running'.
This problem happens only when the server is inactive for a while. Say, if I leave the server running overnight without any activity, the server state reads stopped in the morning, even though background java processes are still running. Now, at this point, it doesn't let me restart or republish my server until I explicitly kill all the java process from windows task manager.

Abhi007Hi,
NoClassDefFoundError signifies that there is a classpath problem.
May be you are missing some critical jars in your classpath
for ex. weblogic.jar, jdk's rt.jar or something else.
You need to find this out.

ThanksHi,
You can write it inside your ManagedServers Start Script or even you can write it in your "setDomainEnv.sh"(if u are in UNIX OS) or in "setDomainEnv.cmd (if it is WINDOWS)"as described in the below Image:
http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/setting_JAVA_JOME_In_script.jpg
The Only difference will be....in the JAVA_OPTION as below:
Unix OS case below
*JAVA_OPTIONS=${JAVA_OPTIONS} -Dhttp.proxyHost=YourProxyHostName -Dhttp.proxyPort=yourProxyPort*
Windows OS Case below
set JAVA_OPTIONS=%JAVA_OPTIONS% -Dhttp.proxyHost=YourProxyHostName -Dhttp.proxyPort=yourProxyPort

Problem when I starting Weblogic Server Under Eclipse Suddenly Stop
Hi everyone:
I've a problem, I'm working with IDE Eclipse 3.2 and weblogic server 8.1 I need to debug the application, when I'm trying to start the server and everything look fine and almost at the end suddenly the server stop with this message:
Stopping Weblogic Server...
Failed to connect to t3://localhost:7001: Destination unreachable; nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused; No available router to destination
please I need Help.
Thanks in advancei still haven't found a solution to the problem with the specific setup i originally mentioned (wls 9.0, eclipse 3.2 on solaris/sparc). even after upgrading to wls 9.2, the exact same bug occurs.
in the end, i just gave up on the standalone eclipse 3.2 and started using workshop for weblogic 9.2 that comes bundled with the wls 9.2 installation; and the problem does not occur with that setup.
wl workshop 9.2 is based on eclipse 3.1. so if you want to use regular eclipse with regular wls, then maybe eclipse 3.1 is the most stable version to use with wls. hth. -

I have looked on the forum and can't seem to find anything.
Any help you offer is greatly appreciatedI could not find those files anywhere but maybe I was looking in the wrong place. I go to application properties and then deployment and then the profile I created but I searched everywhere and nowhere do those 2 jar files even appear, not even an unchecked checkbox or something
So maybe I was in the wrong place but I checked the project properties as well....
I will look through it again and the web inf file but just dont know where those jars could be...
Maybe it is the Web inf file, because I know you can include that although Im pretty sure I excluded it on both the project and application deployment properties... -

Coherence 3.6 server startup issue weblogic 11gR1sp5
Hi All,
I had managed to startup my weblogic server monitored by node manager. It is a single server domain. I have a coherence cluster setup and a single coherence server listing to the unicast address/port of the coherence cluster. I had the setup running. I had shut down my machine and next day when I tried starting it up, I started getting this error in coherence server out log --

Any help would be appreciated!
Regards,
Souvik MukherjeeHi,
I have the same concern.I have a single server topology. The coherence cluster is targeted to admin server. I am not able to start the coherence server before starting the admin server. Is there any way by which I can start the coherence server without connecting to the admin server?
What I usually do is:
1. Run wlst
2. connect to node manager
3. nmStart('AdminServer')
4. start coherence server from the console
This setup works fine when the coherence server is up and running. When ever I shut down my coherence server, the setup doesnt work. Can you please help me doing this? I did not find any documentation as well which shows how to start coherence server from commandline or node manager. Everywhere it shows how to start coherence server from console!

How to avoid JMS validation when starting weblogic server
Hi All,
When starting up WebLogic server, it will validate JMS destinations one by one for deployed applications.
If I don't connect the VPN, then these JMS destinations are not reachable, and WebLogic Server will spend a lot of time to try connecting to these JMS destinations.
Thus it will take a lot of time to startup the WebLogic Server.
How can I disable JMS validation when starting weblogic server?
Thanks and Regards!Hi Daniel,
By blank do you mean that the screen is black? Is it gray? Is it blue? The word "blank" is vague when trying to determine and isolate startup issues. -
How to Configure the Weblogic Server 6.0 Beta version with Solaris 8
Hello,
I have problem in starting the weblogic server 6.0 beta version.
It is occupying hell of space and running very slow. When I try
to deploy the bean it is throwing exception like timeout.
Plese do suggest me what to do. and how to configure properly.
Thank you,That typically happens when you have your database connections configured
incorrectly. WebLogic is timing out on accessing the database.

Hi,
we have a J2EE application using an Oracle 8.1.7
database, Oracle thin JDBC driver and WLS 5.1 running on
a Tru64 WLS cluster.
The entire Weblogic Server is hanging (!!!) after a database
reconnect.
The problem occurs when a EJB selects data from the database and
the database is going down and the application server is trying
to reconnect.
If there is no database activity in the moment of the database
reconnect, the application works fine
(the server is not hanging).
The application only reads (select) data from the database,
no inserts/updates/deletes.
We are using a database connect pool (initial 10, increment 10,
max 30 connections, testConnsOnReserve=true,
testConnsOnRelease=false, refreshTestMinutes=1).
The problem is independend from
a) The operating System
(We tested Tru64 UNIX V4.0e, V4.0f and W2K SP2.)
b) the java version
(We tested on Tru64 UNIX V1.2.2-6 with and without
Compaq fast VM V1.2.2-4, V1.3.1-1 and V1.3.1-2 with fast
VM, on W2K V1.2.2 and V1.3.1)
c) the Oracle thin driver
(We tested an older one and the current version
for Oracle V8.1.7 - downloaded last week from Oracle.
I dont know the detailled version.
All files are named
classes12.jar or classes12_01.jar)
d) the Oracle minor version
(We tested Oracle V8.1.7.0, V8.1.7.2 and V8.1.7.3)
e) WLS as a single server application or
and all combinations from a) b) c) d) and e)
(It was a lot of work to test it !!!)
But the problem depends on the Weblogic Server service pack.
a) With WLS SP7 we have no problem.
b) With WLS SP9 and SP11 the entire application server is
hanging.
But we need WLS SP9 or higher with the bugfixing for
CR 31604: Fixed a bug where EJBs with large Primary Keys
caused OutOfMemoryErrors.
Any Idea.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards
Uwe SeyfertHi. Are you sure you've editted the startWebLogic script
to add the latest oracle driver zip ahead of all the weblogic stuff
in the weblogic.classpath, not the java.classpath? Can we see
a thread dump of the server when it hangs?
thanks,
joe

I have tried several solutions for above problem:
Sol1:
I have checked my datasource.
The database details and URL are correct and i am able to test the connection and the DB is up and running.
Sol2:
I dropped RCU and created again but it didnt resolve the issue.
Sol3:
I have renamed the folders tmp, cache and data folders to in the below location
C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\SOA_domain\servers\AdminServer
After starting the weblogic server, these folders are created again but problem is not solved.
Sol4:
Logged intoto Weblogic console->services->Data Source->Click on SOADataSource->Go to Transaction tab->verify 'XA Transaction Timeout:' is set to 0
Sol5:
The schemas details in RCU and during the SOA configuration, there is a screen called "Configure JDBC Component Schema".
The schema details are same in both cases
Sol6: Dropped Database, RCU and SOA and installed again.
But the problem is not solved.
Now i am getting below exception also:

SwathiHi Swati,
When you see this error
Cause: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDeadException: 0:weblogic.common.Res
ourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was:
IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
Action: Check the stack trace for more details.
That means Datasource Connection Pool is failing to create a pool either due to DB is down or no connection made by Pool resource.
Try to tune the Datasource with following parameter will help you.
1. Eanble Test connection on reseve
2. Connection creation retry frequency second set as 10 these two parameter make reconnect back to you DB and Pool start executing correctly.
After enable still have problem please provide complete stack.
