Problem in using Submit
Hi Experts.
I am calling another report in my program inside a method using SUBMIT statement.I can't use Export-Import because OO Concept does not support Export-Import inside a method.
Please tell me how to pass a value stored in a variable using Submit?
Thanks

Please be clear of which program you want to submit.
One program is known as Called Program and the other Calling Program.
This is a straight forward process.
Use Key word SUBMIT . For more info take F1 help on the key word
if you want to pass data from one program to other you can use key words
IMPORT and EXPORT
The Key word help very clear and Self Explanatory
IF you find any syntax error, the F1 help is always there to help you and moreover the syntax check helps you aswell

Problem using Submit statement
Dear Experts,
I am trying to use submit statement in a report for transaction ML85. I have used the below code.
submit RMSRVF00 with FRGCO = 'S1'
with FRGGR = 'S1'
with listu = 'ENTRY_REL'
with ebeln = '4500000309'
AND RETURN.
But when I execute the report the values which I set are not filled and the screens opens with error message as '' Fill in all required entry fields". I am passing values for fields Releasecode - FRGCO, Release group - FRGGR, Purchase Order - EBELN, Scope of list - LISTU.
Please tell me why this message is coming and values are not set for fields.

How to get data from the called program using SUBMIT in a background job?
Hi Experts,
I've a program which creates a background job using JOB_OPEN and JOB_CLOSE function modules.
Between the above function modules I need to call a program using SUBMIT VIA JOB statement.
My problem is, How do I fetch some data in an internal table in the called program to the calling program after the SUBMIT statement?
I tried to EXPORT and IMPORT the data, but they are giving a failed sy-subrc when using this background job.
Kindly let me know your inputs and valuable suggestions.Kumar,
When we execute a program as a background job then the output will be sent to Spool which needs to be fetched again.I guess we need to use Submit via spool as mentioned by Rajat.
Check these threads to get some idea
submit report to spool & import spool id
Re: Generate Spool for a report

To run a program in BACKGROUND using SUBMIT
I need to run a program in background using the SUBMIT option. Here i have to pass an internal table form one program to another which will be used to update sales orders using BDC.
Questions
1} Can we execute a program in background using SUBMIT?
2} I am sending data to a MEMORY ID , if i run the program in background will the memory id work. As in do memory IDs work in the background.
Thanks in Advancerefer same thread.
Re: Problem with SUBMIT in Background -
ORA-01403: no data found Problem when using AUTOMATIC ROW FETCH to populate
ORA-01403: no data found Problem when using AUTOMATIC ROW FETCH to populate a form.
1) Created a FORM on EMP using the wizards. This creates an AUTOMATIC ROW FETCH
TABLE NAME - EMP
Item Containing PRIMARY KEY - P2099_EMPNO
Primary key column - EMPNO
By default the automatic fetch has a ‘Process Error Message’ of ‘Unable to fetch row.’
2) Created a HTML region. Within this region add
text item P2099_FIND_EMPNO
Button GET_EMP to submit
Branch Modified the conditional branch created during button creation to set P2099_EMPNO with &P2099_FIND_EMPNO.
If I then run the page, enter an existing employee number into P2099_EMPNO and press the GET_EMP button the form is populated correctly. But if I enter an employee that does not exist then I get the oracle error ORA-01403: no data found and no form displayed but a message at the top of the page ‘Action Processed’.I was expecting a blank form to be displayed with the message ‘Unable to fetch row.’
I can work around this by making the automated fetch conditional so that it checks the row exists first. Modify the Fetch row from EMP automated fetch so that it is conditional
EXIST (SQL query returns at least one row)
select 'x'
from EMP
where EMPNO = :P2099_EMPNO
But this means that when the employee exists I must be fetching from the DB twice, once for the condition and then again for the actual row fetch.
Rather than the above work around is there something I can change so I don’t get the Oracle error? I’m now wondering if the automatic row fetch is only supposed to be used when linking a report to a form and that I should be writing the fetch process manually. The reason I haven’t at the moment is I’m trying to stick with the automatic wizard generation as much as I can.
Any ideas?
Thanks PeteHi Mike,
I've tried doing that but it doesn't seem to make any difference. If I turn debug on it shows below.
0.05: Computation point: AFTER_HEADER
0.05: Processing point: AFTER_HEADER
0.05: ...Process "Fetch Row from EMP": DML_FETCH_ROW (AFTER_HEADER) F|#OWNER#:EMP:P2099_EMPNO:EMPNO
0.05: Show ERROR page...
0.05: Performing rollback...
0.05: Processing point: AFTER_ERROR_HEADER
I don't really wan't the error page, either nothing with the form not being populated or a message at the top of the page.
Thanks Pete -
Create spool for background jobs which uses submit statement
Hi Gurus,
I have a quick question regarding the backgroud jobs. When we run a program in the background , it should create a spool for us, but, the problem comes when I am running a program in the background, its not creating the spool. This program uses SUBMIT statement. This program collects the data and it will submit to the other program and then retuen. In this case, its not creating a spool. Its very important for us to look at the spool for this program. Does anybody cam across this kind of problem? I need ur inputs.
Thanks in advance, <REMOVED BY MODERATOR>

Printing using SUBMIT statement
Hi
I have a problem in printing using SUBMIT.
I have three printers identified to print certain orders using submit statement.
the list of printers is given in a drop down and once the user selects a printer from the list, i have to generate a spool for the corresponding printer. But this is not happening. The spool is generated for the user's default printer defined in SU50. I have my submit statement below:
SUBMIT zppprbsel WITH aufnr EQ p_wa_batch_res_process_order
WITH werks EQ c_1201 "'1201'
WITH relvn EQ c_0 "'00000000'
WITH relbs EQ c_0 "'00000000'
WITH orig EQ ' '
WITH nach EQ c_x "'X'
TO SAP-SPOOL

WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
WITH DESTINATION = l_dest
WITH IMMEDIATELY = SPACE
WITH KEEP_IN_SPOOL = 'X'
VIA JOB v_job_name
NUMBER v_job_cnt
AND RETURN.
here my l_dest has one of the three printers that the user selects.
when i change my default printer to one of the three printers the spool is generated fine. A spool always generated for the default printer of the user?Hi,
Before the SUBMIT get the PRINT PARAMETER by using the FM --> GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS

Enctype header problem while using FileUpload
Dear fouramites,
I am using apache commans-fileupload1.1 api for uploading file to a servlet. For the file upload to take place I am using submit button and I am placing enctype header as form attribute. Doing so I could upload the file but the problem is, when I click on other tabs in the application(which were routed to different controller servlet) the request parameters themselves were not getting passed.
If I use javascript function to send values to servlet it could not recognize enctype header so fileupload api is throwing exception
Can any one plz help me out to resolve this situation.
Thanks & Regards

Thanks for trying to help me. I resolved my problem but I dont know theory behind it. I am not using struts frame work. My application uses FrontController architecture.
By request parameters I mean Hidden form fields. Not the values of hidden fields but the parameters themselves are not getting passed to controller if I use submit button in the form. If I use java script function to set values to hidden fields, headers were not getting passed.
I solved the problem using onsubmit.
Thanks alot

i am going to buy unlocked iphone 5.. i will be going to india nxt months and will stay there for a while... so my question is will i get warrenty in india.. and will there be any problem with using indian sims..?? thnx for the help..
The warranty for the iPhone is not and has never been International.
Warranty and support are ONLY valid in the country of origin. The only exception is the EU where the entire EU is treated as one country.
If the device will be used in India, buy it in India.
An unlocked iPhone will work on any supported GSM carrier world wide. The LTE portion of a US purchased, unlocked iPhone is unlikely to work outside North America as it does not support the appropriate bands used in other countries.
