Problem integrating WTK in Eclipse
I have integrated J2ME Wireless Toolkit in Eclipse following the guide on the Eclipse site http://eclipseme.org/docs/installEclipseME.html
Everything works fine except for when I try to run the created Midlet on my phone (Nokia 6230) - I get the error message "invalid file"
If I set up the excact same project using the KToolbar the Midlet runs fine on my phone. I have made sure that the MIDP profile and the CLDC is the same in both cases.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Problem creating Jar in Eclipse
I have a problem in exporting my eclipse java project to a jar file. It does not include the external jars used in the buildpath in the MF file. How to add external jars used in the project propoerties' buildpath in the MF file while exporting a Java Project to a jar? Thanks in advance.
hi,
there is no possibility in eclipse to export the external files from class path.
but you can add the source files of your .jar to your project without using the class path.
that should be the solution of your issue :) -

Could anyone please help me in solving this problem.Which version of eclipse are you trying?
Have you tried the eclipse web site?
Eclipse does not require a special install. All you should need to do is unpack the zip archive. You have to unpack all of it. -
Problem integrating EMC CX3-20 to Sun T5220 server - Wrong partition?
Hi All,
I have a problem integrating the EMC CX3-20 to Sun Sparc Enterprise T5220 server.
In the EMC, two LUNs were created. 1.6TB and 10G were allocated respectively. They were represented by emcpower0a and emcpower1a in Solaris 10.
I'm wondering why the format -> partition command shows different information for the two LUNs.
The partition command on emcpower0a shows the "total disk sector available". But the command on emcpower1a shows "the total disk cylinder available"
I can't use the the disk emcpower0a in Veritas because slice 2 (s2) was not displayed when the command "vxdisk list" is executed. It show "emcpower0" instead of "emcpower0s2".
Can someone let me know how to solve this problem? Appreciate your help. Thanks.
Regards,
Ryan

Flex 3 and Java - Integrated Development on Eclipse
I am new to flex as well as to eclipse. I have downloaded
Adobe Flex Builder 3.0 and installed it. I want to use java at the
back-end, but I don't have Java perspective option in eclipse.
Therefore, I am currently using 2 IDE(s), one is
flex-builder, and other is Eclipse for Web tool platform
(eclipse-jee-europa-winter-win32.zip).
Is there anyway that I can benefit integrated development of
Flex and java using same IDE?I wouldn't try it really... it's not worth the issues you'd
probably run into and the work of getting it setup, if it's even
possible. I just run Eclipse and FB separate. If you have a gig of
ram you should be fine doing this I think.
If you *really* want to get rid of one, you can use the Flex
plugin for Eclipse, but I've heard people complain about it not
playing nice with Java. -
Problem with package in Eclipse
I am doing in Java codes. There is big problem with those error:
package org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xml.type.internal;What I should to do that? Do you think I need to download some package from somewhere for Eclipse?
I have already Eclipse. Please help me how to do that. Thanks.I wrote codes in there. But there is some errors in there because they said that I don't have package exist in Eclipse. I have no idea why.
Those lists below got red line:
package org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xml.type.internal;
import org.eclipse.emf.common.util.WrappedException;
import org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xml.type.InvalidDatatypeValueException;
import org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xml.type.util.XMLTypeUtil;I tried to run it and the errors said:
InvalidDatatypeValueException cannot be resolved to a type.
The declared package "org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xml.type.internal" does not match excpected package"
The import org.eclipse cannot be resolved
WrappedException cannot be resolved to a type
XMLTypeUtil cannot be resolved{code}
What is wrong with it? Do you think there is missing plugin package or what? Where can I find a package for that? -
Problem integrating BlazeDS into CF8 (StreamingAMFChannel not found)

Hi Mete,
rpc.swc is appearing under my Server SDK library path.
But I have no idea how to check if it is out of date... Both Flex and BlazeDS are kind of new to me.
I tried replacing it (+ the locale) by the ones from the flex SDK included in BlazeDS turnkey, but no luck: Flex Builder returns a "unable to load" error.
EDIT: out of curiosity, I tried removing the streamingAMF channel definition, so that the polling channel is used.
No error in Flex Builder, but when I try sending a message in the chat application, I get "Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed: url: 'http://london:8303/tutorial-chat/messagebroker/amfpolling'".
(and in my browser I get a 404 error with this URL) -
Problem integrating Oracle 9i and Weblogic 7 with MDBs
All:
I would really appreciate an answer to this question.
Background:
- We are using Oracle 9i and Weblogic 7
- I have an MDB that receives a message, then in the onMessage(Message) method
performs a findByPrimaryKey(String).
Problem:
The deployment descriptors and the MDB all work fine when I set them up to query
against a Pointbase database and deploy to Weblogic. Everything worked fine. But
this was only a test to see if everything would work.
I now need to query against an Oracle database. I got the updated version of the
Oracle Thin Driver and put it in the WL_HOME/server/lib/classes12.zip file. I
even added it to the beginning of the classpath in the startWeblogic.cmd file.
But am still having problems.
To test the just the Oracle connection I double checked the user, password, URL,
and driver settings in a java file using JDBC connections - and they worked fine.
They just aren't working when integrated into Weblogic.
The problem lies in the Weblogic 7 server integration with Oracle 9i. The software
integrated fine when tables from a Pointbase database were queried. The only changes
made have been to make the connectivity to Oracle.
My errors are in the attached myserver.log file. If anyone knows if this is a
known problem or what the problem is please let me know.
Just FYI my settings are as follows:
Driver: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
URL=jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.6.10:1521:proType1
user=protype1
password=protype1
Any advice is welcomed! I've tried everything I can think of.
Angie
[myserver_errors.txt]Hi Angela
you can try the following parameters in the FileRealm.properties to set
acl.reserve.weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.<connectionPool>=everyone

Thanks, I set the initial pool count to 2 and have up to 10
connections (for this testing). Unfortunately it hasn't helped
any.
The error that I am getting is an SQLException:
Exception = Access not allowed
But when I ran the java utils.dbping it makes the connection
with the connection and driver parameters I enter in the console.
I'm still open to ideas on this! :)

Problem integrating Discussion and announcement using AD users in spaces.
I had successfully customized Discussion and announcement Services in webcenter spaces using the default authenticator user WEBLOGIC. And it was working fine.
I was able to post and configure announcement and also able to create forums and threads in webcenter spaces.
Now i have Successfully integrated my ACTIVE DIRECTORY to WLS. And now i want to configure discussion and announcement using active directory users. i am facing problem in it. I am able to login to Webcenter spaces as well as 8890/owc_discussions and also in 8890/owc_discussions/admin (jive forum admin) using AD users. i have also given admin roles to ACTIVE directory users in 8890/owc_discussions/admin under Global Settings -> Admins & Moderators .
When I tried to configure Discussion and announcement Services in webcenter spaces it gives me errors like.....
(1) The service did not get provisioned.
(2) failure to authenticate the user *******, due to: Unable to connect to discussion server.*
Do i need to make changes in keystore.properties & jive_crypto.jar ? Do i need to make a new connection in EM inside WebCenter > Service Configuration.
Please help.
ThanksHave you set up ws-security between your webcenter and discussion server? If not you need to set it up to get rid of the authentication error.
Are you setting up a single-sign on between all webcenter components using OAM? If so there is an additional step to add/update owc_discussions.sso.mode property under discussion admin. -

What this error says exactly?
but if some port (maybe 8080) is blocked the SMP3 installation setup will automatically suggest you other (free) ports.
While SMP3 server installation, i came across this pop-up, are you talking about this one?

Problem in building an Eclipse installation with oomph
Hallo,
I am setting up an Eclipse distribution with several plugins needed to have a proper IDE for an Eclipse Project (GEF).
When adding the plugins to Eclipse everything is Ok, until I install the Oomph Version Management Tool plugin.
After installing the Oomph VMT Plugin, from the next startup I see the below error:
Plugins contained in the Eclipse distribution.
As specified in the GEF contributor guide, the GEF-IDE consists of
Eclipse IDE for committers Mars R as base eclipse ( in my case is win32)
API Tools Execution Environment Description v 1.0.1 from http://download.eclipse.org/releases/mars update site
e(fx)clipse IDE - PDE version .2.0.0, from http://download.eclipse.org/efxclipse/updates-released/2.0.0/site/ update site
m2e - Maven Integration for Eclipse - version 1.6.0, from http://download.eclipse.org/releases/mars update site
Xtext Complete SDK - version 2.8.3, from http://download.eclipse.org/releases/mars update site
Oomph Version Management Tool, from Oomph update site
After installing the Oomph Version Management Tool plug-in, at the next Eclipse Startup I see the following error:
An internal error occurred during: "Setup check".
USER_HOME
I was actually thinking my install was ok, but in bugzilla, I got that I did an "inconsistent installation" - see bug 473599.
Indeed, I checked in the About eclipse features for the Oomph, and I saw the Version Management Tool version is not matching with Oomph Setup Core , but only for a small "delta"
I tried to do an Update of the IDE using the Help > Check for updates, but I realized it is not a Complete IDE update , as suggested in the bug 473599.
So, I have two questions:
how to perform a Complete IDE Update ?
how can I make a consistent installation, by assembling the five plugins above, including the Oomph version management ?
Thank you very much for the time you're spending on my question.
I hope my question does not seem impolite or excessively complex.
Regards.Hi Patrik,
The p2f file that you mentioned in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=473599 seems totally useless to me. It
locks in specific versions of the listed IUs, no matter whether the identified repositories will provide those versions
in the future or not. For example:
<iu id='org.eclipse.oomph.setup.feature.group' name='Oomph Setup' version='1.2.0.v20150720-0925'>
<repositories size='2'>
<repository location='http://download.eclipse.org/oomph/updates'/>
<repository location='http://download.eclipse.org/oomph/updates/latest'/>
</repositories>
</iu>
A P2Director task in an Oomph setup model for GEF seems like a better alternative.
More comments below...
Cheers

I'm not 100% sure but I think you can't easily get out of this inconsistent state because the plugins that would do that
for you are also impacted. I would recommend that you create a new installation with Oomph's Eclipse Installer.
> how can I make a consistent installation, by assembling the five plugins above, including the Oomph version management ?
I would suggest that you put pressure on the GEF people to provide a GEF project setup model, so that you can just add
it to your install. -
