Problem loop processing with a foreground task

Another problem: I have taken the example task provided by SAP to create a sales order in the foregrouund by passing it data from an ORDERS IDoc (the task is TS20000615). This task calls transaction VA01 with the data from the IDoc converted into a BDC table, and then displays what is happening as a foreground process.
I wanted to have this in a LOOP until a sales order nuumber was created; my thinking was if somebody starts the task and is unable to save the order at that time, the existance of the order number would be the LOOP condition, and a new work item would appear in the recipients inbox.
When I tried this, I end up in a constant screen processing loop, never seeming to exit the task, i.e. it looks as if when I cancel the processing for one task, it automatically starts the next and displays the screen processing.
Is there an obvious mistake here, or am I doing something that is fundamentally flawed?

What you need is task based on an asynchronous method with a terminating event. This will keep the same WI active until it is succesfully completed instead of generating a new WI for each execution.
Change the property of your BDC method to Asynchronous.
Define a terminating event for your task (inputFinished?).

Problem initiating process with multiple operations using HTTP/SOAP

Hi,
I have defined a process which has multiple operations. My process starts with a pick activity containing onMessage branches for each possible operation. When I initiate this service using the BPEL console, I choose one of the operations and everything works fine.
However, when I initiate this process using an HTTP/SOAP web service call using JMeter, always the first branch is executed regardless of the message I send.
My operations are document/literal. Due to some restrictions, I cannot define a SOAPAction for the operations. Could this be the problem? Is there a workaround for this? If this is not the problem, what could be the cause?
I'm using version 10.1.2.1.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance..

hi i am using 10.1.3 and still i can not initiate a process with multiple operations. Is there anybody to tell if pick activity works fine and if there are some points to consider?

Firefox will not re-start without "ending process" with Windows Vista Task Manager.

Error Message:
“Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.”
Have to start Task Manager and then end firefox.exe process.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process with Execute package task

Hi,
I've a master package that calls other packages with an Execute Package Task. Sometimes we have an error: "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" and sometimes not. It seems random.
We are working on a Terminal Server and the SQL Server database engine and the files are placed on another server. It seems that the errors doesn't occu when we run the packages on the server with a job. We can't log onto the windows server on this machine..

I've seen this myself. On most occasions an immediate rerun would fix the issue. As stated this happens only when we try to run this from BIDs. From SQL agent job it always runs fine.

Problem in process

Hi
We modelled a process with 5 Human tasks.
From the 4th task tehre is an option to return to first task. This is done using an exclusive choice gateway.
But strangely when we try this option a new instance of the process gets created(the main process continues to run without problem) There are no loops in any of these tasks.
Also is there a way to dynamically map the workflow without using exclusive choice option.
Any clues?

If you could forward any more detailed document on how to create a BRM would be of great help.
What I mean by no loops, I have used exclusive conditions to decide the work flow
The provcess works fine however in one case a new instance of the process gets created along with the running one.
Completely clue less how this happens. The start process is not triggered in anyway
The process has 5 stages (Initiator, SCM, Finanace, QA, MDM)
At every stage a person can accept return or reject.
When QA returns to initiaor , the process is working fine but another task with SCM gets created.
Initiator task triggers start process. But initiator returns is a different task which is used only when someone retrns request to initiator.
Any clues?

With these two settings in OPJK, there will not be any impact on COHV.
Any dates, date ranges you are inputing in the COHV.
Try with Manually inputing some of the Orders in COHV and in the Foreground you try.
Afterwards, try with Some selected Orders in the Background..
You may get the clue for the problem..

Problems with the "my tasks" iView

we use the EP 6 SP 09.
I have problems with the "my tasks" iView (com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.ui.uwl). The first problem is, that the user get no e-mail if anybody give him a task (Options: Notification = Notify on Updates, Completion ...). The next problem I have is, if a user (without admin rights) click on the button "Personalize" he get an empty window. But a user with admin rights get the window with the "Personalize" view.
Can anybody help me? Where are the possibility to customizing?

The personalization tray is only visible if the iView tray is visible.So make sure that iView tray is visible.

Which operating system are you using?
Resetting the photoshop preferences might cure the problem.
Press and hold down the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys down just after starting the launch of photoshop 7
(Shift-Command-Option on a mac)
Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop settings file

A BPM process with out any human task

Hi All,
I am new bie to BPM. Can I create a BPM process without any human task?
Like start event, service task (or any other activity) & end event.
If it is possible, please let me know the proper steps to execute and test this process also.

Yes, ofcourse you can have a Process without any User Task. Ex: Start Node -> Service Task -> End Node. Start Node can be 2 things say like DB Adapater and File Adapter. Read something from DB from some table and put into the Text File.
But the thing is, BPM Process is more of Role Oriented. If you already saw, you define something called Swim Lanes and put each User Task in those Lanes and automatically users in that Role only can work on those Task.
If you do not have any such things like User Task, you don't even need to create a BPM Process. Just create a simple BPEL with your custom Payload.
Now, the most important question is how do you plan to trigger/start this process whether BPM or BPEL. Do you assign some users to the first Role and do users log into bpm/workspace and click the Link on the left side to start the process. ALSO since there is NO User Task, you will NOT have any Task Details Page and this means you MAY NOT even see the link on the left side in bpm/workspace.
The only option I could see is have BPEL. This BPEL will have a WSDL automatically generated. And you can use this WSDL to instantiate the task.
If your intention is to use this process/bpel in some other MAIN Process then it is totally possible.

Adobe flash 10.1.85.3 freezes and takes Firefox3.6.12 running in Windows 7 with it needing task manager used to terminate the conatainer container process or firefox.exe to recover

Almost every time I load any page containing a video and attempt to view it Firefox will crash and become totally unresponsive. It seems that the Adobe flash player add on is responsible but the crash protection feature does not function and the only way to recover is to terminate either the add on container process or Firefox using Task Manager
Other add-on's installed are:
Adobe Acrobat 9.4.0.195
Google Earth 1.0.0.1
Google Update 1.2.183.39
Java toolkit 6.0.220.4
Java Platform SE 6 U22 6.0.220.4
Mozilla Default plug-in 1.0.0.15
Open Office 3.2.9497.500
VLC Multimedia 1.1.4.0
Disabling all or any of these does not help.

I find that in this exact configuration that Firefox simply crashes with that crash window. I have Disabled ALL extensions and plugins, Firefox works. Then I install ONLY Flash 10.1.85.3 and Firefox 3.6.12 crashes, running on Windows 7.

Problem in IP10 with the date of the task list

I have a problem when I'm duplicating a task list. I can duplicate the task list correctly, then i assign it to a generated maintance plan ( I'm only changing the plnal field because i'm changing the center of the task list). Then I go to IP10 to generate new scheduling entries for the new center, but i have a problem because all the dates ara calculated based on today (I'm making start in cycle for the first openening entry). I think taht the problem is some date of the task list because if I try to make the same operation with the old task list all it's ok (generate the new order).
Anyone has any idea?

Which IDE are you using to build the client? (In fact it doesn't matter)
Just put the jar files path into the classpath as John told. In order to find which jar files you need in this process, you can use eclipse java - jar class finder (which works with NWDS as well). Give it the class name(in this case commons.bla.bla...) and your jar files' folder, it will show you which jar file you need to put into the classpath.
Just a little googling may help you with the class finder

Problem of communication with compactrio

I am working with a compactrio 9014 and labview 8.5
I have a problem of communication with my compactrio. I acquire sound with NI 9215 and transmit points from the fpga VI to the VI on the real time target at a rate of 10Khz. On the VI on the RT I have two loops, one determinisic running at a speed of 10Khz (0.1ms) (in this loop I will do my signal processing) and one non-deterministic running much slower (20ms) to communicate data to my computer. To communicate data to my PC, I used shared variable.
The problem is that if I run the VI_RT, I loose immidiately the connection. I think that is because the VI is taking up all of the execution time of the
processor and is starving out the communication loop that is used to
send data back to my PC.
Because of this problem, I try to configure my compactrio to automatically run on startup of my cRIO. So I follow the steps I have read in another message in the forum posted by MattP
To make your application (RT host VI and FPGA VI) run automatically on startup of your cRIO, you will need to do the following:
1. Download the FPGA VI to the flash memory on your cRIO. If
using LabVIEW 8, right-click on the VI in the Project Explorer Window
and select Download VI or Attributes to Flash Memory...
2. Build an executable out of the RT VI. Under your RT target
in the Project Explorer, right-click on Build Specifications and select
New>>Real-Time Application. Select the source files necessary
for your application and any support files to be included. Click Build.
3.. After building the RT Application, you will find its entry
under the Build Specifications folder in your project. Right-click on
the application and choose Set as startup. Right-click again and
choose Deploy, which will download the application to your cRIO.
With this procedure, I thougt that I can run my loop faster because I don't have the RT VI open on my desktop (PC), so the PC don't have to synchronise the VI. But when I startup my compactrio, I loose connection with the target...
So, what is wrong with my project? Is it possible to run a loop at 10kHz on the real time processor and communicate in the same time (but every 20ms) data to my PC. Can someone explain me the right procedure to do that at this frequencies?

The method you use in your application to transfer the data from the FPGA to
the RT Host use the Front Panel Interactive Communication that write/read the
control/indicators of the FPGA VI. This method provides also risk of Race
Condition and use uP resources.
To avoid errors in data caused by race conditions and use less processor resources,
I suggest you to rewrite this part of your application with the method
DMA transfer from FPGA to Host.

Problem in processing of SAR in MM-SUS scenario

We have upgraded SRM4.0 to SRM 5.0 in MM-SUS scenario. We have a problem in processing of SAR list on the supplier logon portal.
When we click on All SAR list on supplier home page to display the list of SARs its going in infinite loop and giving timeout error after 30mins. When we checked in transaction SM50, found that program is not able to read records from table BBP_PDVIEW_IAP.
Number of entris in this table are 16lac.
Can anybody suggest the probable reason and solution?
