Problem of Noise during Phase Unwrapping

Hello!
I am using VISION based system to measure phase in a displacemnt measuring interferometer. My phase algorithm gives a wrapped phase as expected saw tooth wave profile whose unwrapped value I am taking with help of a loop which counts each jump from -pi to +pi or vice versa. Problem is that even after using filter noise is not possible to be eliminated practically and if data capturing becomes slow near this edge i.e.where -pi or +pi is aproaching due to noise large number of false count results. To solve this I thought using two different algorithm which gives slightly offset curves so that when pi point is approaching in original one second one is still away from that point and any false jump can be eliminated by comparison. The total phase value can be compared from earlier value in both window and any increase or decrease should agree in each algorithm. this will avoid this practical problem. Can any one suggest me how to go about this problem in LabVIEW or any other solution.
Thanking you,
Ajay Shankar

The attached VI will take care of phase jumps in either direction. I developed this for another project and it may need modification for your application.
Have you tried a smoothing filter or sliding window averager to get rid of your noise? These often work better than a simple lowpass filter.
When the system is moving slowly or stopped recalling the last valid position and allowing only small adjustments to it may prevent the big jumps. In other words, if you can't beat the noise, ignore it. This can be easy to talk about but is not always so easy to implement.

    Dear,
it looks that an inative nametab is available with no fields.
Could you please check how it is defined in se11 ?
you may perform the checks there as a first step for analysing this issue.

  • Skips & Scratch Noises during playback ...

I am all of a sudden getting skips & scratch noises during playback on certain albums during playback on Itunes and it transferred over to my ipod ... What could be causing this and how can I get rid of it.  ( No it is not the CD it was burned from cause it sounds perfect playing on other devices)
thanks for any ideas or tips :-)

I have observed this with my 4th gen Nano. The sound is pristine through the headphone jack, but when connected via some (older) dock devices there are little bursts of static every few moments.
I have tried this with a Bose Sounddock and a Tivoli iSongbook. Same thing. The little static bursts are NOT repeatable (random), and do NOT appear in headphones. Most people would probably never notice this noise, especially if they play only rock music. Music with less percussive sound reveals the problem more easily.
The very same files played through the dock devices on my old 3rd Gen iPod sound perfect.
I was getting ready to ask Apple to exchange my Nano for another to see if that has any effect. Other than this issue, I love it and it works great.

    Please advise.

It seems that the path from where the installation has been started is too long. So you have to shorthen the following path were the RDBMS-software was copied to.
Current path (might be much longer, because of ~ placeholders):
    D:\Basis\5103481\DB2_LU1\WINDOW~1\ESE\image\setup.exe
Please copy the RDBMS-DVD to an other shorter path, so that the path to setup.exe is e.g.
    D:\short_path\WINDOWS_I386\ESE\image\setup.exe
The problem here is not the lentgh of this singel path. The problem is that in several steps this path will be multiplied in length until the limit is reached. Then the installation will fail.
Please try again with the shorter path.

  • S90 Static noise during video recording

Everytime I do video recording on my S90, I can hear static noise during playback.
Does anyone else face this problem? Is this hardware or software related?

    Update the S90 via OTA
Once that is done then try again. If problem persist then open dialer and press ####1111#.
In engineering mode, select back mic test in Item test. This will record via back mic and will playback. If you still hear static during this time then bring it to the service center.

  • Buzzing noise during wireless data transfers from new (model 1408) AirPort Extreme.

I exchanged a 3 week old 4th generation AEBS to get this new allegedly more powerful 5th generation AEBS. Both base stations were positioned in identical locations adjacent to identical harware. Yet only the new model emits the buzzing sounds. Any explanations?

Additional information gathered since original post...
At this point I have purchased and have had the opportunity to use 3 new 5th generation AirPort Extreme Base stations (model 1408). Two came from my local Apple retail store and the third was shipped from the on line store. All three emitted exactly the same buzzing/hissing noise during network traffic. I sit about 2 feet from the AEBS in a quiet home office and these sounds are very annoying.
Two Apple tech support reps claimed they never heard of this problem. I directed them to Apple Support Community postings dating back to 2009 that exactly described this issue (even with the 4th generation AEBS). Although these posts were detailed, as far as I could tell they did not state that Apple provided an explanation. My calls to Tech support have been kicked up to systems engineers. I am supposed to get some sort of reply after July 4.
I think others should make Apple aware of this issue (again) if their AEBS routers make the same noises.
    Thanks

  • Iphone 5s Echo and Swoosh noises during active call

    Hello All,
I purchased a new iphone 5s around a month back and I consistently get echoes of my own voice and swoosh noises during call. This happens irrespective if I make the call or an incoming call is answered, from any location like my room and on the street (No tunnels, elevators, etc). I originally thought it was because I receive notifications like texts or if my cheek touches the display, but I hear this noises and echoes even if I am on headphone (both apple and other branded headphones). Is this is a known issue, if so how do I resolve it ?
    Thanks

Flip the silent switch on the side of the iphone.

In SE11 its saying "PTRV_UTIL_VPFPS_VPFPA_ "does not exist.Check name.
Here it is not taking full name of table "PTRV_UTIL_VPFPS_VPFPA_P".

  • Problems were encountered during repair of the partition map.

I had too much time on my hands yesterday and I decided to try to remove an unused kernel extension that I saw in my EtreCheck report. The kext was for the PACE iLok, for Pro Tools, which I no longer use. I found the item that was installing the kext and removed it, and EtreCheck reported that the kext was gone.
Some time after that I was troubleshooting another issue I have with Mavericks (shutdown time: my shutdown time with ML was almost instantaneous; with Mavericks, it takes about 12 seconds.), and I used the recovery partition and Disk Utility to repair my HD and permissions.
DU reported that my usual boot volume was OK, and permissions repaired on it without problems.
When I have DU look at the drive itself, it reported: Problems were encountered during repair of the partition map.
And then, in ominous red text: error: live file system repair is not supported.
I tried repairing again, and also got this message: The partition map needs to be repaired because there's a problem with the EFI system partition 's file system.
I tried a few things to get these error messages to go away. I booted with a DiskWarrior disk and it was unable to do the repair.
I did a little reading about the EFI partition, and in Macs it appears to be a partition related to firmware updates.
My mac has not had any symptoms at all during this, aside from the slower shutdown.
Even so, I did not like the idea of a partition that could not be repaired on my HD, so I did a clean install. Seemed to work, DU reported a healthy drive and volume.
This morning, as I was preparing for a TM backup, I ran DU again, and the error messages were back. Not good.
This time I tried TechTool, and it was able to repair the HD from the TechTool eDrive (TechTool's version of the recovery partition).
I've looked in these discussions and there are some mentions of these error messages, but usually in the context of failing hard drives or drives that must be erased and the OS reinstalled.
I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this for me, what these error messages mean, why they are occurring, and if I can just ignore them. My internal HD is not a stock Apple drive, but a Samsung SSD that I installed some time ago, and which otherwise works fine. My current suspicions are that either:
there is something inherent in Mavericks that creates some problem with the EFI partition map over time, which then shows up in the error messages in DU
or there is some incompatibility with this SSD and Mavericks that creates the same error messages.

Problem on PC: During import, I can locate the sources folder however the photo do not display. Was working fine. All file types, Lightroom is no longer recognising the images to import, The panel that usually displays them remains empty.  Try using backup versions, removing software that could conflict , still no joy, has anyone had this problem?

    Did you follow this procedure?
Our iTunes guru Terence Devlin advises the following:
    1. Quit iTunes
    2. Drag the iTunes folder from your internal hd - located in ~/Music folder - to your external hd. DO NOT delete the original one from your internal hd... yet!
    3. When the transfer is complete, press and hold the Option(alt) key and fire up iTunes.
    4. A "Choose iTunes Library" window will come up. Click on the "Choose Library" button.
    5. Navigate to where the iTunes folder is located in the external hd.
    6. Within the iTunes folder, select the iTunes Library file and click Choose...
That's it. iTunes will now display all your playlists, songs, movies, podcasts etc. At this point, should you wish, you can delete the iTunes folder from the internal hd to free up space.

  • Problem with noise

As the topic sais I have a huge problem with noise with my new system.
I built an AMD64 3500+ with MSI K8N NEO2 mainboard. I used my old Chieftec dragon chassie but I am experiencing a noisy machine now.
I aint sure if it is the PSU (That was quiet on my old AMD XP 3000+) or the CPU Fan.
Could someone point out a good and almost silent PSU and CPU fan that works good with this board?
    Thanks for all the help.

I am just a newbie to the board - and I do take a couple of silly chances, but if you want to rule one of them sound sources out.....
I would just un plug the CPU fan when the system first boots up (but not sure if the board would just power down if there was no CPU fan connected??
I know I have had a couple of problems with my new board, and changing a few things (including the PSU) I found that the standard CPU fan is pretty damn quiet. (IMO)
infact the noisiest thing in my system is the damn fan on the graphics card.
but if you want to try something quiet have a look at something like this:

  • ChaRM Project Phases - configuring what can be done during phases

    Hi
This is a pretty simple question.
Where do I change what actions can be completed during phases?
For example, a ZMCR for a Maintenance Project can be created in Development with Release phase but it cannot be created in Go-Live phase.
Where do I view this configuration?
I used to know but I can't remember
I went into transaction SM34 and accessed /TMWFLOW/VC_PHMD  but this is more for lower level actions (i.e. releasing transports). I'm looking for transaction type status (i.e ZMMJ can be changed to this status in these phases).
    Cheers
    Shaun
