Hi
We have ECC 6.0 sr3 on windows 2003 with db2 9.1 database.
I am upgrading to ehp3 .
I am getting this error
The Add-on installation terminated during phase DDIC_ACTIVATION
I checked the logs it is shwoing these 2 tables.
Table FAGL_ACTIVEC was activated (error in the dependencies)
View V_FAGL_ACTIVEC_2 could not be activated
please give me some light on this

Hi,
Post us the import log. Try executing /$SYNC in the command field to reset the buffer and then retry the SP updation.

I am applying the addon "ST-A/PI" on SAP ERP 6.0. The status "The Add-on installation is currently in phase DDIC_ACTIVATION" has been there for a few hours now whereas the sap note says it should end in 12 mins approx.
Could you please help in resolving the issue. This is very important.

Welcome to SDN,
You can't change the existing queue if the SPAM status is DDIC_ACTIVATION.
Can you please check the SPAM --> goto --> import logs.
You need to raise an OSS message if you want to reset the SPAM queue.

SAP Standard Customizing is missing after the Add-on installation

Dear Experts,
We have an ERP 6.0 EHP4 system and it has been using for a while. We have done an AFS 6.4 Add-on implementation on top of the ERP system.
We have a configuration only client 200 on the system and that was already there before we did the add-on installation.
Once the add-on installation is completed, we could see most of the SAP Standard configuration which should come along with the add-on is not there in client 200. But everything is there on Client 000 without any problem.
What could be the problem ? have we missed anything here.
I have found a note : 337623 which ask you to manually populate the configuration using SFW5.
I'm not very clear about this. Should we really do this SFW5 ? or is there any other way that we coul'd get those configurations in to client 200 where we have years old other configurations.
Appreciate of you could kindly give some ideas as to how I should get this problem fixed.

HI Kushan,
This sounds like it might be the correct behavior. When you install an ADD-ON into SAP, the install process does not know which client you have saved your default customization settings into so it is likely going to put these into client 000 or 001.

Have you tried contacting that web site's support department for help with that issue? 
If that web site can't find the add-on it says is needed, they need to fix that problem with their servers.
Or you can try using IE Tab2 to run IE in a Firefox tab.

Installation stuck during phase Install Database Software

I am installing DB2 version 9.1 FP5 on Windows 2003 R2 SP2.
During phase Install database software I get the following error

It seems that the path from where the installation has been started is too long. So you have to shorthen the following path were the RDBMS-software was copied to.
Current path (might be much longer, because of ~ placeholders):
D:\Basis\5103481\DB2_LU1\WINDOW~1\ESE\image\setup.exe
Please copy the RDBMS-DVD to an other shorter path, so that the path to setup.exe is e.g.
D:\short_path\WINDOWS_I386\ESE\image\setup.exe
The problem here is not the lentgh of this singel path. The problem is that in several steps this path will be multiplied in length until the limit is reached. Then the installation will fail.
Please try again with the shorter path.

EHP installer terminated during PREP_INPUT/INITPUT_PRE

I am using SAP EHP installer tool to update our XI systems (dual stacks) which are currently on SAP Netweaver 7.0 SP12.
When I run the EHPI, it fails in the PREP_INPUT/INITPUT_PRE phase with the following error:

Error Message: Write access to directory /usr/sap/transXI denied.

"777" is a bad idea, EVERY user able to logon to the system can (by intention or by accident) delete the whole directory.
Most likely /usr/sap/transXI is an NFS mounted directory (to enable transports). In that case the permissions has to be set on the NFS server, a "chmod 777" will not work if it's NFS mounted.

Have you checked SAP note known problems with Support Packages for your release? Normally these kind of erros are recorded in that Note.
XPRA_EXECUTION :- This phase executes the XPRAs and after-import methods
The error shows, syntax error was found in the program /1BCDWBEN/SAPLFEN0007:
"The type "CI_DFKKREP06" is unknown."
You can also do a syntax check in SE38 for the program /1BCDWBEN/SAPLFEN0007, it will show the same error. You can take help of an ABAPer to see what can be done here. You should also create support message to SAP if you are not able to get any standard notes/ known error list.

ECC5 installation error during phase "Create Database"

We are installing ECC5 on IA64 using Oracle 9207.
At phase 'Create database' the sapinst aborts reporting errors executing the oradim -NEW SID command.
The oradim.log contains one row only : "DIM-00019: error creating service".
The OracleServiceSID is created, but it does not start.
If we try to run manually the command "Oracle.exe SID", so the same command that is started by the OracleServiceSID service a popup appear saying:
"The entry point kdr9ir2_pop could not be located in the dynamic link library oracle oracommon9.dll"
Any idea ? Are there problems with the oracle 920 sw installation or what ?

Sounds like oracle problem.
- Please post the last few error statement from sapinst_dev.log.
- Check if the the following key is in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\currentcontrolset\services\OracleService
- check oracle alert<SID>.log, see if there is any significant errors.
- see note #602843
- if "DIM-00019: error creating service", does it mean that an Oracle service with the same SID already exist? if so, use command "sc delete [service name]" to delete the service and then restart the installation.

Error in XPRA EXECUTION Phase of Add On installation in SAP sys in SAINT

Hello All,
I have tried to install VERSANH ADD On on my SAP System with SPAM Version 7.00 <0032 kernal level 48.
i have run transaction SAINT imported all PAT and ATT files and started the process.
now after running around 16 Hrs it is throwing error in XPRA EXECUTION Phase.
The Error is
The Add on installation terminated during phase XPRA EXECUTION
Choose CONTINUE to continue the import
Choose BACK to delete the installation queue
Choose LOGS to display the import logs
i have clicked on Continue, the it process and after 1 Hr throws same error
i have navigated to OS Level in usrsaptranslog and there in log i am getting this line as error
ERROR RFC function TRINT PROGRESS INDICATOR returned 18

Please check the log files under /usr/sap/trans/tmp directory. There will be some information about the error and paste the log here to analyze the problem.

Excel Add-In with Terminal Services

Hello Everyone Does anyone have any experience using the Excel Add-In with a terminal services session (remote desktop)? Local box administrators have no issues but when a non admin user starts MS Excel, they get a VBA runtime error (essexcln.xll not found) Closing that window and attempting to install the add-in via Tools >> Add-Ins >> and browsing to the essexcln.xll file returns the error "essexcln.xll is not a valid add-in" Seems to be a rights issue but the users have full rights to the folder where the add-in is located (Hyperion\AS\bin\) . Thanks in advance for any tips.

Check the file permissions on c:\winnt\system32\msvcr71.dll. This needs to be 'Read/Execute' for 'everyone'. The add-in installation only gives permissions to the User who is installing the add-in. Which causes problems when other users need to access the Add-in. (Similar problem on Citrix / TS). James Archer

Add-On installation showing admin privileges error

Hi all,
Scenario for SAP 9.0 PL 07 :-
I have logged in using Windows Standard user profile.
The SAP folder in " C:\Program Files\SAP " has been given full Admin privileges.
But still not able to install the Add-Ons. Giving error of no rights/permission .
Can you please help me locate some other folder which need to be given Admin privileges so that the Add-Ons will install.

We have tried giving full rights(full control) to the user for the SAP folder in " C:\Program Files\SAP ".
But still the Add-On installation problem exists.
Is there any other folder of SAP which requires the full control permission to be given?

System Settings Add-On Installer on KDE4.9 [Solved/Disregard]

Hey everyone!
I've been having this problem for days now and I can't figure out what to do. So, here's the problem, I have a working internet connection and everything, however, if I want to go and get a new window decoration the Add-On Installer never gets passed the Initializing loader on the bottom. I have left it alone for hours and it still never got past it. Any ideas?
EDIT: Have no idea what happened, but I woke up this morning and found it working again. So maybe server's were down...? I had upgraded my system (pacman -Syu), so maybe something changed the problem.

QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
This error means nothing. Its caused by apps using KUniqueApplication, which does some basic stuff like creating a D-Bus connection and forkes to create the real applications see:
