Problem pricing CRMD_BUS2000115

We have a problem in transaction CRMD_BUS2000115.
The pricing is not based on field "PricingRefProd." when we fill in this field with the BADI method CRM_PRODUCT_I_MERGE.
We enter product 'A'. This is automatically replaced by 'B', thats fine, but we want to use the pricing of the originally entered product 'A', so we use BADI "CRM_PRODUCT_I_BADI" method "CRM_PRODUCT_I_MERGE" to change
the structure CS_PRODUCT_I_BADI. In here are the fields PRICE_PRODUCT and PRICE_PRODUCT_ID. We added some code to fill this fields.
After this, on item-level, in the tab "General" the
fields "PricingRefProd." and the corresponding textfield are filled with this product. So that is working perfectly. But on the "Conditions"-tab the pricing is still based on the replaced product 'B'.  Because we used the BADI for changing the PricingRefProd, we expect the pricing of product 'A'.
Note:
When we deactivate the BADI/method, the "PricingRefProd." is not filled automatically of course. Now we can manually enter this field with 'A'; in that case the "Conditions"-tab is showing the right prices from product 'A'. So
in that case it's working fine.
So It seems that the pricing is not triggered again when badi CRM_PRODUCT_I_MERGE is used.
How can we achieve this?

In order to answer your question, we will need to know when you need to calculate the freight, and where you plan on storing this calculation.
There are fortunately/unfortunately too many BADI's, and other options for sales order processing in CRM, for most people to guess the correct point, without having some more details about your order entry process.  However if you provide the details I will be more than happy to research/offer some thoughts on my approach to this problem.
