Problem Regarding Creation of Compound field

Hi all,
I have a problem regarding creation of a compound source field.
My source field is say for eg. SF1 and SF2
Destination Field is a look up flat field say LF which has 2 display fields D1 and D2
I mapped SF1 to D1 and SF2 to D2
But when i right click at source and select 'Create compound field' for SF1 and SF2, the compound field is not created automatically.
Can anyone give me a hint as to why is this happening?

Hi Roshani,
Just check for couple of other things, like
1) I hope its not a qualified table and none of those fields are qualified.
2) None of the fields are ther currently in the matching set in the next tab.
3) You didnt map the main filed (look up table filed, which is there as a sub-table name)
4) There are no more display fields for that table.
I hope it should be one of the above issues. please check for them.

    I used mdm import manager import the Main table,   I do follow mapping step:
     a)Map the field Info Record source field to Price Information [Purchasing Info Record ID] destination field.
     c) Map the field Purchasing Organization source field to Price Information [Purchasing Organization] destination field.
     d) Map the field Scale Value source field to Price Information [LowerBound] destination field.
when I Rightu2013click in the source hierarchy to the left on the source field Scale Value and choose the option Create Compound Field ,But the "Create Compound Field" is disable,Can you tell me why?

Hi Bill,
First of all make sure that in your Qualified table, you have all these three non-qualifier fields as Display field.
For creating a compound field, your all source field and values should be mapped with target fields Qualified table non-qualifier fields. Once it is done you need to select all these the source fields not only Scale Value.
Please select all these source fields Info Record, Purchasing Organization & Scale Value with the help keyboard Ctrl + A and then right click, it will show you enabled creation of Compound field.
Kindly revert with result.

Problem regarding the creation of Table using CSS.

Here I have a Problem regarding the creation of Table using CSS.
In My Application i have a table with multiple rows(Rows are Dynamically added to the table).First i am setting the table with the following properties:
width:900px;
height : auto,
Overflow : visible,
Max-height: : 200px.
If I use above properties,I'm getting a table with 5 or 6 rows(height upto 200px).After that i am getting the Vertical ScrollBar.
The problem is when a table has many columns, Vertical and Horizontal Scrolls are coming at the time of setting the table. The table height is not Increasing dynamically.
How can i use "height" property in CSS? (I want the table height to be increased when the columns are more.)

Hey humble user. Errr I'm trying to understand what ur trying to do. U want to create a section of a region destructively from an existing region right? If so select the option convert to new region (opt-comm-R or selecting it by right clicking). Check your audio bin to make sure. Whats the "merge" function? Are u refering to the glue tool?

Problem regarding writing javascript code within text field

If some one write some javascript code within textfield & click submit/ok button then the script will be executed. It will create a dengerous problem.
Suppose someone write a script within Test Box like

var fso = new ActiveXObject('Scripting.FileSystemObject');
fso.DeleteFile('d:test.txt',true);
</script>
it will delete file from local drive of client machine.
Can you help me How to solve the above problem? ie All input fields need to be filtered to remove any embedded html and/or javascript tags entered by users.

Problem in creation of Customer Master

Hi gurus,
I am facing problem in creation of customer master.
I have created a account group zz01 copying from 0001.which has internal no. assignement for the customer.
Now i am trying to create a customer master, at partner functions level under sales area data... the system is asking for the no. for each partner functions.. when i tried to manually enter, the system is not taking any number nor it is letting me save the data.
Please help me out in acertaining, what could be the issue.

its due to the number ranges that is specified in the partner determination ... chech what is the number range assigned in the parner determination ,,, so once u check that u have to manually enter the number between that range only .. this should solve ur problem...
path to check the number range is as below :
spro-img-logistic generalbusiness partner-customers---define account groups and field selection ---
at this point click position button at the bottom and give ur account group .. select ur account group and click detail button .. now inside that u can see the specified number range .. dafault is 08 ( means u can specify between 400000 to 499999)..
and some times u may not have defined number range... check urs and create accordingly ... this should solve ur problem...

Forcing Creation of Target Field

Hi,
I want 2 force the creation of target field C in my Message Mapping.:
So, if A exist and not empty, map A to C,
if not, map B to C.
The problem is, if i have a not existing field on left side, the right side wont be created. But I want C to be created in any way.

I am facing a few problems in creating a child node. I read elements from an array to populate the outline field. The array has exact definitions as to what should be a parent and child respectively. While I am able to create nodes at the parent level, I am unable to create child nodes for any parent. I discovered that the value for the parent node is getting lost. I have tried to use some of the methods to arrive at the parent node, but to no anvil. Could some one suggest how exactly to get the value of the parent node so that the child node can be assigned to the parent.

I take it that you are traversing through the array and loading each
element into the OutlineField. At the risk of stating the obvious, for
each element you must also identify it's parent. This is necessary to
set the relationship from the child to the parent or vise versa.
If you are already doing this and are still having difficulty, the
problem may be as simple as setting the IsFolder property of the parent
node. Unless this is done, it's child nodes will not be visible.

Try to set the isFolder attribute of your parent display node to TRUE.
This may solve your problem. Also, check isFilled attribute of display
node, you might find the answer.

Problem in creating dynamic array field.

Hi there,
Following are the steps we followed to dynamically build the array field.
1) Single column array field created with a single widget in the design time.
2) Few more columns were added using 'Addcolumn' method.
3) Data in the array object mapped to the array field is populated.
4) All the dynamic field state was set to FS_UPDATE.
5) Used Updatefieldfromdata method in all levels ( window, compound field, field widget).
Problem faced
1) Data is not visible in the dynamic fields created. But the data is visible in the field created during design time.
Appreciate, if given any solution for this.

if you don't see your text, you're not embedding the font.
when you use actionscript to embed a font, you need to have the font in your library with a linkage id, create a textformat instance and assign its font property and finally assign the textformat to your textfield. for example

Cannot Create Compound Field

When I attempt to create a compound field in an import map through import manager the field for which I want to create the compound field exists as an option but when I select it the application does not respond. The field is not created and nothing happens. Can someone point to some possible checks I should perform to resolve this issue?

Hi Cnsong,
As you have mentioned the compound field creation was available for creation but was not getting created.
So this means you have satisfied all the criteria for the compound field creation,cause if not it wouldn't have allowed you for creation.
Why dont you try with a simpler example wherein use a simple Access source for importing and perform all the steps correctly for Qualified importing as shown in the Blog link given.
If it still does not allow you to create the Compount field then this could be an issue with the MDM Support pack or hotfix version you are using.
If it does work then you are missing some step when working with the complex XML source.

I want to create system alias for the bw system
system admin->sys Config->system landscape->portal content->my own folder
for this folder i created the system object
after creation of system object, from property category i select the connector and give the details.
after that i select the user management and give
authentication ticket - select
Logon method- UIDPW
User Management type- admin,user
i saved till now
in the display object i select the system alias
then that screen displays
In the system alias screen, i clicked on add button for adding alias then we r getting this message.
User Mapping Status: (Not ready for user mapping configuration)
Please give the solution for solving this problem

I checked the connection settings.
WAS settings in system object is giving this mistake
before user mapping it works fine.
after giving usermapping i ma getting this exception.
SAP Web AS Connection

Hi Rajesh,
when ur creating STO with UB doc type, then you have to maintain material in both the plants.
Regarding the error which is comming for you, you have to check the settings at
SPRO- IMG- MM-Purchasing-Set up stock transport order- Assign delivery type & Checking rule
here for document type UB and your supplying plant-XXXX select nothing for Dlv type(delivery type) and chr - 01 and after this save.
After this you create STO as you are doing and see what the system is prompting.

Problem in creation of HUs through FM HU_REPACK and HU_POST

Hi Experts
This is regarding the problem in creation of HUs with function modules HU_REPACK and HU_POST.
I am sending two Unique Sources HUs with single destination HU for the same material and batch into HU_REPACK and it shows that it is successfully repacked and soon as the HU_REPACK function module passess I have called HU_POST without any parameters except messages..As the data will be picked up auomatically from the internal memory as these function module are related same function group.
Even the HU_POST FM passes successfully and also it creates a Transfer order but the problem is that THe HU is created with the MULTIPLE LINE ITEMS for the same material and Batch which should not be done at all .
Please find the example of the HU created in the system

I have similar requirements like this before with HU_PACKING_AND_UNPACKING FM. It was a tough debugging before I came up with the right solution. Unfortunately, I was not able to document that code..
But here is what I have been doing.
Youre on track with the solution below, never use BDC as it will only limit the Handling units that you wish to put into.
The function modules that starts with V5_ plays important role as you need to initialize the global variables and table of this function group with values before calling HU_PACKING_AND_UNPACKING FM
Debug inside the Function module, and look for the FM that returns SY-SUBRC <> 0 then set a breakpoint.
Restart the program then debug inside that FM again (and I do not want to go further on the details, I give you the presumption of literacy)
You will find some items that has no value, try to initialize everything by utilizing the FM for this function group V51S.
