Problem replying to emails: Message status "message included an invalid address"
Blackberry Curve 8310 on BIS with OWA on in-house Exchange 2003 (sbs 2003).
We have problem sending BIS email since last few days. The problem usually comes with replies to emails and when you open the unsent email (marked with a red cross) the status reads "Message included an invalid address".
We have tried following so far;
- Recreating account at Vodafone site
- Resent service books
- In Options->Language->Name Display set to ‘First Name Last Name’
- The ‘Workaround’ from the end of blackberry article KB00035, except the ‘Generate new encryption keys’ part as our version of Desktop Manager does not seem to have ‘Redirector Settings’ or ‘Email Settings’ options.
We are rather desperate at this point. Any help to resolve this would be appreciated.
Many Thanks
I have the same exact issue when replying or forwarding from the device. Did you ever find a solution to this?

Hi,
I am facing a strange problem. I would appreciate if someone can help me.
Our application sends emails periodically (every 30 minutes). Initially emails send out correct but then the emails stop with error message "Message included an invalid address" after some time.
FYI, the devices are using MDS/BES connection. Contect protection is enable. etc.
Below is the code used to send emails:
Message message = new Message();
Address toAdd = new Address(emailTo, emailTo);
Address toAdds[] = new Address[1];
toAdds[0] = toAdd;
message.addRecipients(Message.RecipientType.TO, toAdds);
message.setSubject(subject);
message.setContent(messageData);
net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.Transport.send(message);
Thanks for your time.
SaliI enabled the contect protection on my test device and then after few emails the emails show red cross when device was locked with the same error.
So I believe the email does not go out when the content protection is enable and deice is locked.
Any idea to fix our email process? -

When I'm running Firefox 4, I can't run Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 at the same time. I get an error message which reads "attempt to access invalid address". When I stop running Firefox, I can use Photoshop again. What can I do?
Which OS are you using? Because there have been some issue with Win7 and PSE4. Try upgrading to PSE8.You can try the trial version of PSE8.

Replying does not show original message
After upgrading to Safari 4 (final release not beta), I started to notice that when replying an email the original message would not always show. I have selected all the correct settings in preferences. Does anyone have a suggestion?. As a side note, when I tested the Safari 4 beta, I had to go back to Safari 3 because some rules in Mail stopped working.
The only emails that I've noticed the problem with are from a Mac user who uses the Mac Entourage.
User-Agent: Microsoft-Entourage/12.10.0.080409
I have emails from other users that show:
Content-type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1"
and when replying or forwarding those emails, all the text from the original appear in the new email.
I only noticed this problem after upgrading from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8. I also upgraded Safari from v3.x to v4.0.3. I noticed in another thread someone mentioned that they had problems with some rules in Mail when running Safari v4 beta and they went back to v3 and the problems went away. -
Inbound Processing of iDoc Status Message
Silly me - I thought this would be simple ...
I am currently changing our bank interface from a customized ABAP solution to use more standard SAP utilities (particularly iDocs). I have the configuration set up to use the PAYEXT message type sending PEXR2002 iDocs to a file port. Our bank is receiving these documents and is returning an iDoc status message containing the status of each payment iDoc that they received from us.
My problem is that I can't figure out how to get these status iDocs to update the status of the corresponding PEXR2002 iDoc.
I am trying to execute an RFC interface to apply these status messages to my system using the following OS command:
D:\usr\sap\VPR\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\startrfc.exe -3 -d RT2 -u xxxxxx -p xxxxxx -c 220 -h SPR32K36 -s 00 -F EDI_STATUS_INCOMING -E PORT=ZFI_INT003
The error message that I receive when this is run is:
RFC Call/Exception: SYSTEM_FAILURE
Group Error Group 104
Key RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
Message Status record 1 is invalid (TABNAM: 'EDI_DC40')
The port (ZFI_INT003) is the file port that is configured for the outbound file. in WE20, this port has the "Status File" tab set to use the logical file name where the status file is being stored on the server. the startrfc command is connecting to the SAP system and opening the status file. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here.
Can someone please help get me pointed in the right direction? I've obviously missed something here.
Thanks,
GlenHi,
call function modules:
EDI_DOCUMENT_OPEN_FOR_PROCESS
EDI_DOCUMENT_STATUS_SET
EDI_DOCUMENT_CLOSE_PROCESS

Im having problems replying to email messages direct from the message itself. to reply i have to right click and choose "reply to sender only"
when trying to reply through the message itself the "to" field just says "please wait.."Have you tried with add-ons disabled?
Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu (Alt+H), click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender. -
OWA- Message Contains an Invalid Address
I am having an issue with my blackberry users that utilize BIS to access their email through Outlook Web Access 2007. The issue is hit or miss. Some users complain about it then they will work ok and then couple days later have the issue. Outlook Web Access through the browser works fine. Also forgot to mention that the users get the "Message contains an invalid address" only when they reply. Can reply in outlook web access from the browser just fine. I know how to troubleshoot OWA / outlook issues but I have no idea how RIM accesses OWA. It has to be slightly different than you would through the browser because through the browser works just fine. I have 200 remote users that use OWA all day and not a peep out of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there!
Odd indeed...here are a few KB's that hopefully have something of use to you (the first one looks most promising, hopefully):
KB10565 Unable to send email messages from an integrated Microsoft Outlook Web Access account
KB02169 Unable to send or receive email messages using the BlackBerry Internet Service
KB00035 Message included an invalid address
KB14563 "Message included an invalid address" error is displayed when sending an email message from the BlackBerry smartphone using an integrated Gmail account
KB12522 Message included an invalid address
KB16277 BlackBerry Internet Service error messages
KB04233 Emails sent to invalid addresses are not bounced back
The hard part will be your testing...given that it is intermittent as well as only affecting others, it'll be a tough process. Unless you've been able to replicate it, then your testing will at least be a little bit easier (though still time consuming since it's intermittent).
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Reader error message attempt to access invalid address
I posted my original question in the wrong forum. When trying to open a pdf with reader I received a message saying "attempt to access invalid address. Per the response on that forum I uninstalled reader and ran the programs at this link http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html I then restarted the computer and reinstalled reader. During installation I got an error message #150210. More help?
Hi Julie,
I have seen this issue fixed for some users by modifying the following registry key:
The key is "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" MoveImages
Set the key to 1 instead of 0 then reboot the machine.
In case you still face the issue try the following registry key change:
The only thing you have to do is rename the following key at the REGEDIT, and everything will be fine !!
BEFORE:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.exe
AFTER:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.old
Note: Please take a backup of the registry before attempting this change.

Why can't I reply to emails on my iPhone 5 - this is a recent problem, I have been able to reply and delete email messages previously.
A bit more information would be needed to understand what's going on?
What happens when you try to reply... Do you get an error message, is there no send button, does a symbol appear? -
Problem with Thunderbird email:
When I send email using a mailing list, with my email included in the list, the message shows up in my Sent list and others receive it but it does not come to my email Inbox. The same problem occurs when I send the email to the mailing list addresses individually. When I send a simple test message to myself, I do receive it in my Inbox. Can you help me??
Bob GreenmanAre you using either cc or bcc? Is googlemail involved? Some email providers suppress cc's and bcc's to oneself since you will have a copy in your Sent folder.

Message Status Arrow not showing when forwarding or replying to mails.
When you reply to or forward a mail message the message status shows an arrow sign (straight or curved) to indicate that a particular mail has been addressed. When you click on this arrow you are taken to your reply or forwarded message.
I have a problem here: For most mails this works fine. But when I get mails from within my own organization sent through outlook and when I reply to them the arrows in the message status box do not appear. When outlook is not used and the mail is sent directly from the server.... then arrows are displayed on my replying to these mails.
Presuming:
My id is [email protected] (user of Mac Mail)
My colleagues are [email protected] and [email protected] (both user of Windows Outlook)
Pl adviseditto same problem, although in my case its applied to ALL replied / forwarded emails. The replied message never comes up when you click the arrow.

Missing icons (ex: replied arrow) in Message Status when I reply from an iPhone
Hi guys. My problem is very simple.
I've a Macbook Air with Mavericks installed, plus an iPhone and an iPad.
As email account I use Gmail in IMAP mode.
When I reply to an email from iPhone, I do not see the replied icon (arrow) in message status of Mail in Mavericks.
In iPad all works fine.
I've experienced this issue after upgrade my OS to Mavericks.
And for an "intensive email manager" like me is very boring-problem because I've to remember if you're already replied/formarded to an email or not
Can anyone help me?
Best,
Federico.Glad it helped.
Its one of those options that you dont need much but comes in handy sometimes. The only problem is they hide it away so good you forget where it is
