let's start with the basics....
With most any problem, a good first step is to test it out in a different user account;
this will establish whether or not the problem is system-wide,
or restricted to just one account.
That information is useful, since the solutions in each case can be very different.
If you don't already have another User Account - it's simple to create one:
Open System Preferences via the blue Apple menu
Click on Accounts
Click the Padlock icon at the lower left & enter an Admin Password
Now click the + button just above the padlock
Enter a name for the new account - like "Test"
You can leave the password field blank if you wish
Leave the "allow user to administer this computer" box UN-Checked
Click "Create Account"
Now you have another Account to test Safari in -
Log Out from your normal Account via the Apple menu at top-left of your screen
Log in to the Test Account that you created
Does the problem still show up in the Test Account ?
Of course, if the shut-dwons (crashes) only occur infrequently - this may be difficult to check - let us know.

You can hear the rollers going but it can't pick up the paper and I only use high quality A4 paper in there.

A printer is an item meant to print.
It is generally helpful if a printer recognizes such out-of-the-ordinary, eccentric, unheard-of media such as...oh, I dunno, 8.5 x 11-inch PAPER?????
It claims repeatedly to have run out of paper. No paper. No paper. Insert paper into paper tray. Now, granted, the minimalist quality of the paper tray--it holds 20 pages, roughly--might convince you that I had indeed used up all my paper; this is not the case. 18 of the 20 sheets are still there. So I readjust that paper, close the tray. It starts to pull in a piece of paper, and then there is the giant crunchy noise of a paper jam in progress. And forget about “easy access” for removing them, either.
In the months I have had this printer, I don’t believe it has EVER allowed me to print five pages consecutively without some sort of problem. To me, this is known as an EPIC FAIL.

My firefox Freezes randomly! I'll be working on the website for 15 minutes, (google places, yahoo mail). Then i'll click in the page to get to the next page, and it will just freeze! I already tried removing the "preloading" feature, so why doesn't this keep happening?
My firefox at home, (version 3) does not have this happen! I'm afraid of upgrading to version 3 because of all these problems. I use FireFox for work so i really need it and I'm wasting crucial time restarting websites and updating my websites/blog/business listings from scratch. not right!

I sounds like you have the first generation (1G) iPod Touch with an iOS earlier than 2.0, Yu can identify your ipod here:

You can identify your iOS version by going to Settings>General>About and look by Version. Yu can update ti iOS 3.1.3 (the lated for the 1G) by this link. It is a paid update. You may have to try another browser to get he sublink to work correctly.

Every time I turn the computer off or put it in sleep mode... when I come back my wallpaper is gone. I have to keep going back to my pics and getting it back.
Does anyone know why this keeps happening??Are you choosing it from one of these folders (in my screenshot) or you can also put that picture into the correct folder. The path is:
HD > Library > Desktop Pictures
If you add it to the folder manually, please restart your computer.
And yes, letting it sleep is a good idea, or else the startup disk will spin and the screen may suffer from image persistence if you leave a window or image parked in the same spot too long, so the screensave is a good idea. -

My new iPhone 4s and my iPad 1 have the same problem: While working on one of them, the screen goes black and the right back to home screen. I've tried resetting the iPad with no chages to this problem. Need help, this is anoying.
I just did a reset all settings on both.

iPhoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem downloading an image. This keeps popping up and its really titting me off. I use a Canon Rebel and I shot a video with it and I am trying to put it up on a website but I cant get it to import onto anytihng please FIX THIS!!!!
Try using Image capture (in your applications folder) to move the video to the desktop and then import to iPhoto from there

This keeps happening.. annoying, do I take it in?
My computer keeps falling asleep on its own when it says it has plenty of juice left in the battery. The past two times this has happened, it has been at 40% and 30% respectively. Then I plug it in, and boom, it says 0%, and it begins to charge. I have tried re-calibrating the battery. I also have the Macbook Superdrive computer. What is going on? Do I need to take it in and get the battery replaced? Thanks for your help and advice.
I have the same problem. I use my macbook at school and when occasionally when I shut down my computer it does, but then it goes in sleep mode and runs really hot. When I open my macbook for my next class or when I get home it is usually dead, or lost a lot of battery. It also says something about the OS X recovering from a serious problem. One time I pressed the shutdown button and and left the LCD up, then a screen came up saying needed to restart after it already shut down. I did and it said that it recovered from a serious problem. I called apple support but I am beyond my 90 day phone help (why only 90 days????) and they said that it might be a problem with software. It happens occasionally but I don't know what to do to fix. Oh and my Macbook was made in week 31 of 2006, not quite sure if that helps. I also am running OS X 10.4.8

I have currently downloaded Skype on my iPad, as I have no laptop which allows me to use it. I also have an iPhone which I have Skype downloaded onto for when I'm on the go. My problem now is that my contacts won't show online. I have the latest version of Skype and also the latest version of iOS. When I used the application yesterday they were showing up fine, but I have logged in today and their pictures won't show it is just a blank picture with a question mark and also some of them are appearing offline when they are online. Certain contacts are online with no picture and their username but not their actual name. I have checked on my phone and it shows they are online, but with no picture and their usernames only. I have tried logging out and logging back in, I have tried going offline and back online, I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, I have also deleted them and added them again but nothing has worked. When I message the offline contacts my messages aren't getting through. This has happened twice now and it's really starting to annoy me as I need to keep in contact with them over personal and important matters. Can somebody please fix this? It seems like nobody is bothering to update or fix the bugs on the iPad and iPhone apps lately.
I thought I was the only one with this problem! With my first iPod it happened everytime it would recieve any sort of small bump or shake. I don't mean a drop, just a small tap. Sometimes it would lose info if I ran up or down the stairs and my (otherwise empty)jacket pocket would shake with it in there. Checked/unchecked all the tabs, reset it, updated it...nothing. The only thing that would work was to delete everything and reload it.
After looking online and finding no help, finally took it back the the Apple store and after looking at it they just switched it out(with a refurb). Which kinda ****** me off cause basically in the end I basically paid full price for a refurbished ipod.
Anyways my second ipod isnt as touchy but so far in the three weeks I've had it it's done it twice(the first week I didn't use it cause I was P.O'ed about getting a refurb considered trying to take back).Out of the blue this time, no outside source needed. If/when it happens again I'm just taking it back.
If any of you iPod guru's out out there know of a (good,permanant)fix please post it! I'd rather not deal with the store.
Just a note: Don't think I abuse the ipod at all. I'm actually rather anal about it. No drops, not a scratch on it.I probably treat it better than I treat my kids.

I have been hacked, how can I help this from happening again?
On Christmas day I was hacked. My contacts each received a bogus email purporting to be from me. I have now created a new Email address on a different site. How can I clear up the hacked mess? I had all my Emails going into that main one that was hacked.
Is there any way to keep this from happening again? A blocker? A new tab? Anything?
They used a large variety of things from Canadian Rx to Work at home stuff. I could use some help.

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs. You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

This is about the 4th time that i've had this issue. My songs/playlists appear in iTunes when I connect my iPod Touch, BUT the songs don't show on my iPod.

Using Firefox 27.0.1. Suddenly firefox always wants to be on top. I do not know why this is happening now. The only fix I can find is advice to reset firefox. But I am having to reset firefox every week. This is unacceptable. I'm about to throw up my hands and find another web browser. Can someone please suggest another solution?

It sounds like we are running into issues with the iTunes software connecting to your device. If possible, lets try plugging your iPhone 5 in with a different cable. Also, try plugging it in to a different USB port on your computer:

We may need to isolate the issue down to the iPhone or the current installation of iTunes. If the above steps have not resolved your issue, remove and reinstall iTunes:
