Problem testing EMail adapter

Hi All, I have deployed EMail adapter succesfully. I am trying to test that. Could
anybody tell How to test this ? what i want to know what is the XML input to test
the email adapter application. ? Thanks in advance.

This is how I configured
Configure the JMS Queue Resource (Jndi name=>>> jms/demoMsgQueue)
Configured the JMS Connection Factory Resource
configured the demoCF JMS connection factory
Created a JMS Adapter Connection Pool
Associate the Connection Pool with the Connection Factory
Redeployed the JMS Adapter with the New Resources

  • PI 7.1 IMAP email Adapter Error reading large amounts of emails

    Hi,
    are there any known problems with the email-Adapter (Sender), reading IMAP MS Exchange Server?
    We have an email adapter reading the MS Exchange Server Mail Account once per Minute and in the mail account are about 4.000 unread email  (1KB each) .
    After 2000 emails, the adapter stops working and throws only exceptions.
    Any idea?

    Hi Holger,
    i made a few tests at that time, and there was no specific scenario which re-produced this error.
    In some tests i was able to process more than 3000 emails before the error occured, next time only 2000.
    And this only occured when the inbox had a huge amount of emails. if i moved, lets say 1000 emails to a temporary folder,
    processed 1000 and then moved the 1000 back to the inbox, there was no problem. Now i'm polling every minute and i'm
    not receiving 2000 emails in a minute, so i'm not having this issue anymore. it only happend when we stopped the
    sender channel for a while and a lot of emails were queuing up in the inbox.  I don't think that there are any MS Exchange settings that need to be changed and when we spoke to Support that time, they refered to the Note i mentioned earlier.
    Maybe there is still a problem in the mail adapter itself..

  • Crazy POP Account problem receiving emails

    I am on Mail 2.08, and my ISP is Media Temple (shared server setup).
    I have one account will not download email! It has exactly the same settings as others that work.
    I can Get Info and Mail shows that my test message exists on the server. I can go on Squirrelmail and see the mail is there. I can set up the account in Entourage and download the email on the server no problem. I can use this account in Mail to send the test emails (smtp works). I run Connection Doctor and it logs in and says account is fine. There are no errors showing up in any attempts to download the mail, just a spinning wheel and then no mail in the inbox!!
    I erased and set up the account on Media Temple's servers. That did not work. I have erased and set up the account within Mail multiple times. I threw out the plist and re-entered the account in Mail and that did not work. I wish I could download a new version of Mail so I can delete this one but don't know how to find that online.
    I don't think there is any kind of cache or anything to clear with Mail.
    I should note that on my first setup of this account, I set it up as IMAP. My primary email account is IMAP and works great, but when I was trying to make this new account work, Mail.app goes crazy with where it puts the folders for Sent, etc and what is mapped to what. So I then deleted it as IMAP and made new one as POP. I cannot find any evidence of a remainder of this work but wanted to note it here.
    Media Temple tech support say they have many Mail.app users calling in with very mysterious problems like this one, that they cannot replicate and often like this where there are other accounts with the exact settings that work while others do not. Or that they suddenly stop working and the users cannot figure out why. I even tried to set up a server-based alias for this account on Media Temple to reroute the email to a new account that I can download on Mail.app but it would still not download them!!
    Help!!!

    Well, I don’t know why it doesn’t work as POP, but if what you really want is to set up this account as IMAP, it seems to me that what you should do is fix and/or understand that instead...
    Anyway, assuming the account is actually supposed to work using POP as well and that it has been configured correctly, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list.
    Also, try using a different method to connect to Internet, if possible, or connecting the computer to Internet as directly as possible, i.e. bypassing any routers that might be present, using an ethernet cable instead of wireless, etc., and see whether that makes a difference.

  • Performance problems with File Adapter and XI freeze

    Hi NetWeaver XI geeks,
    We are deploying a XI based product and encounter some huge performance problems. Here after the scenario and the issues:
    - NetWeaver XI 2004
    - SAP 4.6c
    - Outbound Channel
    - No mapping used and only the iDocs Adapter is involved in the pipeline processing
    - File Adapter
    - message file size < 2Ko
    We have zeroed down the problem to Idoc adapter’s performance.
    We are using a file channel and  every 15 seconds a file in a valid Idoc format is placed in a folder, Idoc adapter picks up the file from this folder and sends it  to the SAP R/3 instance.
    For few minutes (approx 5 mins) it works (the CPU usage is less then 20% even if processing time seems huge : <b>5sec/msg</b>) but after this time the application gets blocked and the CPU gets overloaded at 100% (2 processes disp_worker.exe at 50% each).
    If we inject several files in the source folder at the same time or if we decrease the time gap (from 15 seconds to 10 seconds) between creation of 2 Idoc files , the process blocks after posting  2-3 docs to SAP R/3.
    Could you point us some reasons that could provoke that behavior?
    Basically looking for some help in improving performance of the Idoc adapter.

    We wonder if the hardware is not the problem of this extremely poor performance.
    Our XI server is:
    •     Windows 2003 Server
    •     Processors: 2x3GHZ
    •     RAM: 4GB (the memory do not soak)
    The messages are well formed iDocs = single line INVOICES.
    Some posts are talking 2000 messages processed in some seconds... whereas we got 5 sec per message.

  • How to send only one (of several) attachment from a receiver email adapter?

    Hi all,
    I have been working with the SAP XI email adapter for some time and now I encountered the following challenge:
    I am receiving a message via email from a partner, call some modules which lead to the generation of 5 attachments in total for the incoming message.
    I then map the MainDocument to a CONTRL message and return it to the sender using the dynamic parameters of both the sender and the receiver email cc.
    I am filling these parameters inside the message mapping; so far I am not using the mailpackage xsd (the only things out of the ordinary are checked boxes for "use adapter specific parameters", "variable transport" and "keep attachments").
    My problem is that the email receiver cc now generates an email with 5 attachments when I need it to add only the CONTRL (aka MainDocument) as attachment to this email.
    Do you know if there is a way to tell the receiver cc to only use one attachment (or to remove attachments from the original message, f.ex. inside the message mapping)?

    1. It cannot be done in a mapping

  • Problem in FTP adapter ( Duplicate)

    Hi all,
    We have a composite that query the events from Oracle on demand CRM. Event contains key column which is used to fetch all related values.
    Using FTP adapter, we are placing the file in SAP and also one copy using file adapter in our local server for our reference.
    Problem :
    SAP is receiving two files in their inbound folder at same time stamp for one transaction.
    But in our local server, we are receiving one file only.
    So we isolated the problem to FTP adapter.
    When we analyzed the process and its audit trail, everything looks fine and FTP operation is called one time only.
    We are clueless regarding this problem.
    Also same interface works well in Production instance. We even tried deploying new composite that is freshly downloaded from Production.
    We need this to fix this by Wednesday as UAT begins in Test environment and that needs this interface to work fine.
    We have clustered environment and 2 SOA servers.
    Please someone help us identifying the problem. Its very urgent

    Hi it may be the problem with the environment. Try adding the property <property name ="singleton">true</property name> in the composite.xml for the FTP adapter or at the server level.

  • How to filter emails using sender email adapter

    Hi,
    Does any one know how to filter emails of mail server using Sender email adapter(POP3 protocol ) in PI .
    To make it more clear let us assume that there are 10 emails in the email server then 3 emails should be fetched for Interface A , 3 emails Should be fetched for Interface B and remaining 4 emails should be ignored and left in the email server as it is ,  the reason for this is that it is not related with the Interface A or Interface B. Any suggestion or solution will be much appreciated.

    I guess you didnt get my requirement clearly. My requirement is how to filter emails from email server using sender Email adapter in POP3 protocl and pass it to relevant Interface.
    For ex: suppose email no.1 is related to Interface A then it should go to Interface A
                   or         email no. 2 is related to Interface B then it should go to Interface B
                   or         if  email no. 3 is junk mail then it should avoid deleting that email and leave that email as it is
    The problem/challenge here is that email adapter of Interface A or B reads it first and deletes the email message so it is not available for the Interface A or B.
    So I just want that sender email adapter should filter it before deleting email from the email server.
    Can you provide some solution for this?

  • Query related to Sender Email Adapter

    Hi ,
    I have one requirement related to sender mail adapter.
    There are 2 Interfaces and both the interfaces are fetching emails using 2 sender mail adapters from the same email database and I am posting data at the receiver side on the webservice using SOAP. So my requirements/challenges are as mentioned below
    1) How to diffrentiate the emails for the two Interfaces i.e .  how emails from the same email server database will be fetched correctly for the two interfaces, currently the interfaces are fetching the data incorrectly from the same email server as both the sender email adapters are active. It means that suppose sender email adapter of Interface A is active it fecthes the email and it deletes it from email database and hence it is not available for the interface "B". How to avoid this situation.
    2) How to filter emails using sender email adapters i.e. how can we avoid the junk mails and select the correct email for the correct interface.
    Note: IMAP cannot be used in our environment due to certain restriction, therefore how can it be done using POP3 protocol?
    Any suggestion on the problem will be much appreciated.

    Your suggestion cannot be implemented as
    The source payload for the two interfaces are different and also 2 different BPMs are used for 2 different interfaces so even if I use same mail adapter and it will picked up by the adapter and processed by one interface and not available to other interface as sender agreements for the interfaces will be different though the communication channel is same.
    So If anyone can provide me the solution as how to filter emails from mail box using sender mail adapter , that will solve my problem.

    Hi all,
    the interface mapping IM_EMail_EP7_TO_EMail does exist.
    Also I select it in the wizard (I didn't wrote any name manuel, except
    in SOAP Adapter).
    I also did a dummy change and reactivate the interface mapping. After
    this I also did a complete cache refresh in sxi_cache, but the error still
    appears.

    It seems I explained wrong. I have an own message type for incoming
    web service and map this with the external email type, so a mapping
    does exist and is used.
    The email type got (like a RFC) also a mail receipt. Do I have to handle
    it? 
    Could it be, that the web service awaits a response? I just handle it
    asynchronous.

  • Not Receiving Test Emails

    One of our clients is trying to send an email campaign however they are having trouble sending the test email. They are sending it to themselves and see the confirmation alert that says "Success, test email sent" however the email does not arrive in their inbox.
    I have tested this on my system and have the same trouble. I have tried on PC and Mac, Tunderbird, Gmail, Yahoo and my client uses Outlook on Mac) - nothing. I have checked my clients webmail account and nothing there either.
    I have also created a new test email campaign and still not receiving test emails.
    Can someone please look into this - I have submitted an urgent support case but have not heard back. My client is not happy and needs to send theor campaign IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

    The issue related to email campaigns and other system emails has been resolved. However, there is a large number of emails in the queue, so sending might be delayed.
    We have not had any issues with the email service Mary, so I'm not sure what problem is your customer having at the moment. Can you please give us more details about what is the problem that your client is experiencing?
    As for the green buttons, they are for website rendering and the email service and they are updated automatically based on the system monitors. They don't reflect the email campaign status, which is updated manually. However, I'll work with the team to have the layout changed so that it's cleared.

    I am experiencing an issue with a tidal email adapter and email events are not being triggered.
    TIDAL Enterprise Scheduler: version 5.3.1.316

    Issue started shortly after our environment did a unexpected failover a couple of days ago.  The servers have been rebooted but the issue still appears
    I have disabled the email adapter and recreated a new one, issue is still there.  Any suggestions on resolving this would be appreciated. The email mailbox is working and recieving messages, and I am able to connect using a pop3 client to the mailbox no problem.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    We found the problem, there was an message in the inbox that is being monitored by the email event.  The message was an undeliverable and the sender was = Mail Delivery Subsystem 
    We had received previous undeliverables from this company and the sender was =  Mail Delivery Subsystem <[email protected]
    The email monitoring was impacted by those previous message but as soon as it only reflected Mail Delivery Subsystem and no email domanin name it failed.
    Once we removed the messages from the inbox the email events triggered as expected.  I now need to build a rule to remove these message from the mailbox.

    Substituting corporate email server with something local like Argosoft is a good idea but not a 100% test since most problems occur when you talk to corporate email server.

  • Problem with email being tagged as spam

    We recently changed our ISP, and up to this point we had no problems with emails to partners being tagged as spam. I've setup the send and receive connectors as the public FQDN, but we're seeing the following NDR:

    I've emailed McAfee to see what the problem is, but I haven't heard back. When I do a query on their web site, the web interface doesn't indicate there is a problem with this mail server, but it's continued to reject messages today. Even though the send
    and receive connectors are set to mail.domain.com, but there still a portion of the header with the domain.local. I'm wondering if that might be causing a problem. Can anyone help me out here? Thank you.

    ok lets start one by one.. to rule out the problem with your Email system go to www.testexchangeconnectivity.com and perform the exchange tests like inbound/ outbound and other relevant tests and share the results. once this is confirmed then come to Mcafee
    Let me know which Exchange and which Mcafee versions you are using as i also have Mcafee and it needs some tuning. May be i can help you. but need to know the info and if you can paste a NDR which are tagged as SPAM

  • V3 problems receiving emails

    I downloaded v3 yesterday at home and at first everything appeared normal - sent test email and got it back OK. I then travelled to stay with friends and now have the problem that though I can still send emails I can only receive if I turn phone off and on. This only seems to work for one download of emails. To get any more I have to repeat the off and on stage. Also only one of the two accounts actually downloads, fortunately the main one. When I returned home it also asked me for my modem password too. Anyone else having these problems with the new v3. Incidentally no problems accessing the net.
