Problem updating Schedule Task Jar

Hi,
I have created a schedule task, uploaded the jar in server/scheduleTask folder.
I was able to run the job without any issues. But after I updated the code, I recreated the the jar and replaced the existing jar.
But I am not able to see my updated code.
I have tried, using upload jar utility also.
It only gets updated after I restart the server. Please provide any suggestions
Thanks

Did you follow the sequence mentioned by Bikash ?
Did you remove old jar from Schedule Task folder ?
Is it clustered environment ? If yes, verify at both the nodes.

  • Running without Adobe Flash Player Updater Scheduled Task

    I'm trying to understand how to avoid installing Adobe Flash Player Updater Scheduled Task.
    I am also unable to remove the Scheduled Task using a script that works on other tasks, on the same workstations.
    Is there an mms.cfg setting that will instruct the installer to skip the Task?
    1) Uninstall the Scheduled Task from all workstations in my environment.
    2) Install future updates without the Scheduled Task.
    I have already tried mm.cfg with these lines:
    AutoUpdateDisable=1
    SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0
    It still runs the update process every hour.
    I have explained that it hasn't been causing a problem, but running this many processes on so many computers for no reason is causing some concern.
    My organization also does not allow big bang automation included with this product.
    Has anyone managed to shut off the Updater process from running?
    Thank you

    Hi Ethan,
    try creating an MST file, with Fx, Wise package studio...
    Edit the CustomAction “NewCustomAction1” added the parameter “-au 2” to the Command line argument.
    you should do that for both:
    install_flash_player_11_active_x.msi
    and
    install_flash_player_11_plugin.msi
    If you are using both of them..
    Or you can delete the scheduled task with schtask /delete "taskname"

  • Schedule task jar

    Hello,
    Where can I found the OOTB Scheduled tasks jar files.?
    I have the task.xml from MDS. And there is a task.
    <task>
    <name>Password Warning Task</name>
    <class>com.thortech.xl.schedule.tasks.tcTskPasswordWarning</class>
    <description>Password Warning Task</description>
    <retry>5</retry>
    <parameters>
    <string-param required="false" encrypted="false" helpText="Email Definition Name">Email Definition Name</string-param>
    </parameters>
    </task>
    I want the jar file for this class.
    I checked in OIM DB plugins table. It only shows the name of the schedule task that I have created.
    Thanks
    sjit

    Easy way to find specific jar out of multiple lib/ext folder jars can be as follow-
    Take all jars to your local file system.
    Unjar all files using jar command or winrar software(1 click will unjar all files).
    And then search for the particular class.
    You will get that folder name which will be same as jar file.

  • Office 2013 C2R Update Scheduled Task does not work

    Hi all.
    I am having difficulty getting network deployed updates to work correctly. I installed and older version of Office 2013 with the ODT from a network share and set the update path. I then downloaded an update via ODT.
    The issue is the scheduled task does not update office. If I trigger or manually run from a command prompt "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\ClientX64\integratedoffice.exe RUNMODE RERUNMODE modetorun updatedetection modeargs reschedulemode tasktrigger
    scheduledtask updateuitype background” from Task Scheduler nothing seems to happen. Monitoring Task Manager it looks like integratedoffice is called albeit very briefly.
    But, if I run "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\ClientX64\integratedoffice.exe RUNMODE RERUNMODE modetorun updatedetection background” from a command prompt Office updates, but if I edit the Scheduled Task to above Office does not update if the
    task is triggered.
    As Office can update if the right command is given it would appear that my config.xml etc is correct. Any ideas on why the Scheduled Task does not work?
    Cheers
    Jakes

    What permissions are set on the location of the updates ? C2R currently needs permissions granted for machine accounts as it runs under that context. This will change at some point that C2R gets updated.

  • Scheduled Task - 403 Error

    Hi,
    We've had our site up for several years now, and haven't had
    any problems with Scheduled Tasks.
    On July 1st, our websire went PKI certificate only. Now
    scheduled tasks don't run and I see several entries like this in my
    scheduler log:
    "Information","848","07/05/06","15:35:55",,"Scheduled task
    'Run It' for URL request 'https://****.cfm' initiated."
    "Error","3064","07/05/06","15:35:55",,"Status code for task:
    'Run It' is '403 Forbidden'"
    "Information","848","07/05/06","15:35:55",,"Scheduled task
    'Run It' for URL request 'https://****.cfm' completed."
    Is there any setting I can set in each Scheduled Task or
    setting on the server I can run to get around this?

    An update, in case someone got the same error.
    I just changed the file resources.xml which is located in a folder under WAS_HOME.
    Old value: name="ProviderEndpoints" type="java.lang.String" value="Default"
    New value: name="ProviderEndpoints" type="java.lang.String" value="<your hostname>:7289:BootstrapSecureMessaging"
    At least, the error is not being logged anymore.

  • E-mailing Scheduled Task Errors

    I'm running CF4.5 and we have a number of scheduled tasks
    that run daily, weekly, etc. and I'm hoping there's a better way of
    finding problems with them than someone in accounting getting upset
    because we haven't billed clients in weeks or our daily imported
    daily hasn't been updated in three weeks and someone just noticed
    now.
    Is there a way I can have the system e-mail me with
    CFSchedule errors?
    I see there's a place for a template to be called when
    there's a server error, but I need something more specific.
    Thanks!

    Not sure if it available in CF 4.5 but there is such a thing
    as a Site Wide Error Template in CF MX 6.1.
    I use this template to email if there are any problems. This
    means it also captures problems from Scheduled Tasks.
    Take a look in CFADMIN.

  • Group Policy - Computer preference - Schedule task creation

    Hello,
       We are getting error while applying schedule task creation GPO (from Windows 2012) to system windows 2008 R2.
    Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80041316 The task XML contains an unexpected node.' This error was suppressed.
    As recommended in many threads, we have made the settings to run the schedule task with user which is "NT Authority\System" (selected user manully from Damain -> Building group -> System).  After changing, we observe that task is getting
    created but we keep on getting warning messages in event viewer. In GPO ->  schedule task -> setting is to "update" schedule task (not create or replace).

  • Coldfusion 11 Update 4 scheduled task error

    My scheduled tasks stopped and on going into Administrator I got:
    The system has attempted to use an undefined value, which usually indicates a programming error, either in your code or some system code.
      Null Pointers are another name for undefined values.
      The error occurred in scheduletasks.cfm: line 190
    -1 : Unable to display error's location in a CFML template.
    I found some posts referring to earlier versions of CF and the neo-cron.xml file. This file was blank. I replaced with the file from my development server as per the posts.
    Can anyone advise why this problem occurred (and has occurred to others)? - I cannot afford to have scheduled tasks anything less than bullet-proof
    Regards
    Richard

    Could you please update the bug with your findings. This will definitely help everyone.

    Re: ColdFusion 11 update 5

  • Coldfusion Scheduled Tasks Problem

    Hello--
    I am experiencing a strange problem. In a product that my office has created, we make use of Scheduled Tasks in Coldfusion. All of our clients are working just fine with the exception of one. There are several Tasks that all should behave the same way. The task starts, it writes to a log file that it is starting, it processes what it needs to process, it writes to the log file that it is done.
    Here is the problem we are having:
    Scheduled task is scheduled to run at 3:00am daily. Task will run the first time through without any problems, and sometimes will run a second time without any problems. But, normally, the second time the task starts, the log file we have generated is not updated at all. The timestamp stays the same, so no action has been done to the file. Further, the Task doesn't do any of the process it should. In addition, the JRun process hangs, taking up 99%-100% of CPU and stays that way until the server is restarted. The Coldfusion scheduler.log says that the task has executed. Nothing else is recorded in any of the other Coldfusion logs.
    This is a problem that has been reoccurring consistently for the past month with all scheduled tasks. I have spent hours on the phone with the client to debug the issue. All of the Coldfusion settings match between their environment and ours. The server setup is similar to our own server. Server is a VM with 2x3.3GHz processors and 2GB of RAM.
    Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or help? At this point, I'm at a complete and total loss and any help would be much appreciated...

    Well that's all good news, in a way.
    OK, so in the test environment stop CF, blitz all the CF and JRun logs, start it, run the script via a browser, run it again.  Inspect logs.
    I can't believe nothing goes into the logs.
    And do you have a <cflog> entry as the very first line of code in the script file?  And that log entry never gets made?
    If the <cflog> entry never shows up, put an Application.cfm file in the same dir as the script, with a single <cflog> entry in it.  Does that <cflog> entry get made?

  • RUM update issue scheduled task in domain

    Hi all,
    About ERROR: UpdaterCore failed for CFU errorCode(220) curRefId((null)) errorCodeString(U41M1C220)
    I hope you can provide some help on how to perform a RUM update in a domain. The users don't have admin rights and they have Creative Cloud Team installed on the machines. The software we like to update every night. We did read all the documentation but could not find a clue on the error below.
    + We did deploy RUM tool to the end user machines.
    + We did create a scheduled task via GPO and created a taskuser (admin rights) to run the RUM on the end user machines.
    + We don't use a internal update server / we use just the adobe one.
    Below the error log generated when the scheduled task is started with elevated rights.

  • Modifying/Updating User Defined Field in a Scheduled Task

    I've written a notification task to send an e-mail to a manager who has a contract employee with a contract that is about to expire.
    Once we isolate a user who has a contract about to expire, we send a notification to the manager. The date that the notification is sent out should be stored in the USR table in a user-defined field, "USR_UDF_LASTSENT."
    Updating this USR_UDF_LASTSENT field is where I'm having difficulty.
    I've tried using the UserManager in a couple of ways. Suppose I've isolated a single user using SearchCriteria and the UserManager and have a single User object called "currentUser." I want to store a Date object in the user defined field "USR_UDF_LASTSENT". Date today = new Date();
    I've tried: currentUser.setAttribute("USR_UDF_LASTSENT", today); //This will run without error, but when I check the DB there is no change to the attribute.
    With a defined instance of UserManager userManager, I've tried: userManager.modify("USR_UDF_LASTSENT", today, currentUser); //This errored out with this error - oracle.iam.identity.exception.NoSuchUserException: IAM-3054135:No user found for the criteria USR_UDF_LASTSENT-9/24/13 2:58 PM.:USR_UDF_LASTSENT:9/24/13 2:58 PM. It looks like it's doing a search rather than a modification.
    I've also tried using the entity manager in the following way:
    Date today = new Date();
    HashMap<String, Object> mapAttrs = new HashMap<String, Object>();
    mapAttrs.put("USR_UDF_LASTSENT", today);
    EntityManager entMgr = Platform.getService(EntityManager.class);
    entMgr.modifyEntity("User", currentUser.getEntityId(), mapAttrs);
    But it returns with this error: Failed: oracle.iam.platform.entitymgr.UnknownAttributeException: User : [USR_UDF_LASTSENT]
    Is my entityType, "User" inappropriate in this case? What should be used here?
    How can I Set or Update this user defined field from a scheduled task?

    Thanks guys. I did go to Identity System Administration console and chose 'Export' from under "System Managment" which I believe Kevin may have been hinting at. I got an xml export of the AttributeDefinitions for our user defined fields. In this file, there was a header for the attribute I was looking for:
    <AttributeDefinition repo-type="API" name="LastSent" subtype="User Metadata">
       <multiValued>
       <backendName>usr_udf_lastsent</backendName>
    I put the string "LastSent" in place of USR_UDF_LASTSENT in the EntityManager version of my attempt at this task. I believe this is what Kevin and delhi were getting at.
    This didn't work:
    Date today = new Date();
    HashMap<String, Object> mapAttrs = new HashMap<String, Object>();
    mapAttrs.put("USR_UDF_LASTSENT", today);
    EntityManager entMgr = Platform.getService(EntityManager.class);
    entMgr.modifyEntity("User", currentUser.getEntityId(), mapAttrs);
    But this did:
    Date today = new Date();
    HashMap<String, Object> mapAttrs = new HashMap<String, Object>();
    mapAttrs.put("LastSent", today);
    EntityManager entMgr = Platform.getService(EntityManager.class);
    entMgr.modifyEntity("User", currentUser.getEntityId(), mapAttrs);
    I wonder if currentUser.setAttribute("LastSent", today); would work... Hmm.

  • Problem with remove task from schedule in PWA

    In our environment problem with remove task from schedule by PWA.
    Problem is only when I want to remove few task in the same time, but the operation one by one is correct.
    In my opinion problem is with calculation schedule after remove tasks, column ID include wrong value it means that Number ID does not generate in the correct order same of numer
    disappear. Click Calculate button on ribbon causes problem with finshed operation and save project.
    Problem occurs only machine with IE 11.0 browser without compability mode, on other machine for example on the same project with IE 8,9,10 everything is correct.
    Problem appeared recently, earlier everything was OK.
    Txn, Dariusz Moczyński

    Hi Darius,
    I'm a bit confused. You are now talking about 2 issues.
    For the first one, you cannot edit anymore tasks in PWA, with any browser versions? Is it happenonog for any users on any projects? Try the following solutions publish the project from Project Pro and see if it helps. Press CTRL F5 to delete IE cache. Ensure
    that your PWA URL is added to the trusted site and/or compatibility sites. Check for the ULS logs or javascript errors.
    For the second issue, please refer to my previous reply, this obviously cannot be considered as a bug since it is happening with a non supported browser version and working properly on supported versions of IE.
    Hope this helps,

  • Scheduled Tasks problem after midnight

    I am running CFMX 7.0.2 and am experiencing an issue where
    scheduled tasks run correctly until roughly midnight. After
    midnight they cease to run. In the logs I can see that the task is
    being incorrectly rescheduled for a later time. Instead of being
    rescheduled for 1 minute and 1 second later, it will be rescheduled
    for much longer - typically about 24 hours later. Any ideas what I
    can do to narrow down the cause of this problem?

    I've since discovered that this problem does not occur when
    the task is scheduled to run at 12 AM. Otherwise, after the task
    runs post-midnight, it reschedules itself for its next daily run at
    whatever time it was scheduled for.
    Is it possible to have a scheduled task that will kick off at
    10PM and then run every 1 minute and 1 second later until it is
    stopped, even if that means continuing through the next day?
