Problem using content from content server in portlet.
Hi all,
I create a JSR286 portlet project, add a content server connection then drag content from those connection to jspx by selected create > document - content presenter.
Problem occur when i deploy the project to portlet managed server.
I'm not sure any mds they required because while deploying the Deploymeny Configuration was poped up to prompt me select mds repository.
I don't know what mds repository they required.
Please help.
Regards.
Hi ngsankar,
Thanks for your reply.
I have no idea about any schema ;(
on the integrated weblogic server i can't deploy too.
Is it possible to use any content from content server in portlet like on portal?
Regards.

Hi,
I Build an Lync 2013 set up with FEpool, Director pool and Exchange server is integrated. I have windows 8 client machine, with Lync client installed. When I try to login to the lync client, I am getting error like"There was a problem verifying
certificate from the server".
When I installed ROOT CA cert manually on client machine I am able to login to the lync client. similarly if I add my client machine in my domain, I am able to login to the Lync client.
Now is there any other way to send the certificate automatically to the client machine (Which are NOT part of the DOMAIN) from the server, instead of manual installation process.
Please help me troubleshoot this problemAgree with S Guna, there is no easy way to push a certificate automatically to a client that you don't control other than building an installer package and asking them to run it. In this situation, if there are a lot of non-domain joined machines
a third party certificate is the way you need to go.

Problem using existsnode from view
I am having a problem using existsnode from a view. I am currently using 10.2.0.3
example
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW XML_PERSON_ASSOCIATION
(PERSON)
AS
select
xmlelement("Person",
xmlforest(
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/PersonID') "PersonID",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/Prefix') "Prefix",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/FirstName') "FirstName",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/MiddleName') "MiddleName",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/LastName') "LastName",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/Suffix') "Suffix",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/PreferredName') "PreferredName",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/Gender') "Gender",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/PrimaryLanguage') "PrimaryLanguage",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/RecordStatus') "RecordStatus",
extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/ImportedDate') "ImportedDate",
(select
xmlagg(
xmlelement("Association",
xmlforest(
extractvalue(value(oa),'/OrganizationPersonAssoc/Name') "Name",
extractvalue(value(ot),'/OrganizationType/OrganizationID') "OrganizationID",
extractvalue(value(ot),'/OrganizationType/Type') "OrganizationType",
extractvalue(value(a),'/Association/Role') "Role",
extractvalue(value(a),'/Association/RecordStatus') "RecordStatus",
extractvalue(value(oa),'/OrganizationPersonAssoc/ImportedDate') "ImportedDate"
xmlelement("PersonTypes",
extract(value(per),'/Person/PersonTypes/PersonType')
xmlelement("Addresses",
extract(value(a),'/Association/Addresses/Address')
xmlelement("ContactMechanisms",
extract(value(a),'/Association/ContactMechanisms/ContactMechanism')
from org_person_assoc oa,
table(xmlsequence(extract(value(oa),'/OrganizationPersonAssoc/OrganizationTypes/OrganizationType'))) ot,
table(xmlsequence(extract(value(ot),'/OrganizationType/Associations/Association'))) a,
table(xmlsequence(extract(value(a),'/Association/Persons/Person'))) per
where extractvalue(value(per),'/Person/PersonID') = extractvalue(value(p),'/Person/PersonID')
) "Associations"
) person
from person p
/When I run the following statment
select person
from xml_person_association o
where existsnode(person,'/Person/Associations/Association[OrganizationID=30097]')=1;
I get no records returned. Now if I used the extract function and use the same path that's in the existsnode clause I get a record returned.
select extract(person,'/Person/Associations/Association')
from xml_person_association o
where existsnode(person,'/Person/Associations/Association[OrganizationID=30097]')=1;
<Association>
<Name>TEST DATA</Name>
<OrganizationID>30097</OrganizationID>
</Association>
If I run the same style of existsnode statment against a table directly instead of a view I am not required to use an extract caluse that has the same path that is used in the existsnode clause.
Thanks for the help.

Read MIME content from POP Server
Hi All,
I just want to read the mails from POP Server and redirect the mails to different folders as per the content existing in the mail.
Now I could able to read the messages from the mails from POP server as well. I'm facing problem while reading MIME type mails from the POP server.
Can anyone guide me or send me some examples for reading mails from POP Server...
Thanks in Advance.
Regds,
MurugeshReading from a POP server is easy. If it's not working for you
then please describe in more detail what you tried and what
happened.
Saving the messages in other folders can't be done using
POP, since it supports only a single folder. You can save the
messages in IMAP folders, or you can get a third party local
store provider and save the messages in local files. -
Can't download content from Distribution Server on Android
I've compiled an app using the Android option from the Adobe Viewer Builder.
Everyhting works fine even installing it on and Android tablet but at the moment of downloading the content from the Distribution Server, the progress bar doesn't move and it shows the legend "Waiting" and starys there forever..
Any ideas what could be hapenning?Hello John:
Thanks for your reply.. I did Publish the folio and I CAN download it really fast on the Distribution Server and watch it fine on the iPad but when I try to download it the same folio on the Staging Server, no luck yet, even both have the same size (and HTMLResourcez.sip file either)
Any further ideas?? -
Migrate content from Gateway server 2.0 to NW 7.4
Hi All,
We have a migration planned with our client. In the current situation, there is a separate Gateway server 2.0 on NW 7.02 system.
On this gateway server custom developments are done. Now we have to move to cloud solutions where the server available will be NW 7.4 which has built in gateway server. The NW 7.4 is on Linux and Sybase where NW 7.02 is on HP-UX and Oracle database. The database restore/ recovery method is not to be used here. Can we migrate contents from NW 7.02 via transport to the new NW 7.4 system?I don't think you should have any complexities with moving a request to your system in cloud. At least, your GW developments / any developments in ABAP are independent of underlying databases/operating systems and would have no impact if you are transporting them.
But, there might be some challenges if there are some deprecated methods or features which should be looked at on pure Gateway perspective, however, there should be relevant notes to address such incompatibilities.

How to extract original file contents from content server
Hi,
1)How can we extract original file contents from the content server (which in our case is SAP database itself)...
2)What exactly is PHIO_ID and LOIO_ID?
Thanks and regards,
Santhosh Kumar U.PHi,
concerning your first question - please decribe, what you are trying to do.
Question 2:
LOIO_ID is the ID of the Logical Information Object. A LOIO is not a real document, but kind of a virtual document, a containerfor all "real" versions of a document. A PHIO (physical info object) is a real document.
you can read more at http://sercie.sap.com/Kpro

Is TRex required to display content from Content Server in the Portal?
Hi all gurus!
A short question: do you have to have TRex (or any other search/index engine) when you want to display content from a SAP Content Server in the portal? Or does the content server has its own search/index engine?
Best regards
Benny LangeHi,
Sap content server can be added in the portal as an KM repository. So configuration is needed. But when finished you can open and look at the content server like they are normal KM folders. TREX on the other hand is advisable in order to have the means to quickly find something in your content server. Otherwise it is like any other stupid file structure. lots of files and lots of folders.
Depending on you portal version you need to install a bussiness pack for document managment to get the content server visable in KM

Could not connect to db using connectring from the server as different user
Oracle Binary is installed under "oracle" user. if we login using different os user, we could not connect using connectr string.
we set all env variables including TNS_ADMIN.
tnsping fails with "TNS-03505: Failed to resolve name"Version: 11gR1
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production
PL/SQL Release 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
CORE 11.1.0.7.0 Production
TNS for Linux: Version 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
There is not problem in the tnsnames configuration. Because if I login as oracle then I can connect to the db using connectring. Developers are not able to connect from the server(Developer have unix account because they are loading data from sql*loader). -
Problems using Labview as ActiveX Server
Hello,
I have been having difficulty using Labview as an AcvtiveX server. I have reviewed all the postings on this subject and most are either pre Labview 8.2 and thus do not account for the changes made between 8.2 and 8.5 which broke the Activex server functions. I have looked at the recommendations for changing the to code to export (exported vi's in a DLL or Source distribution) and have tried these with no success. The closest example I have found was posted here http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&thread.id=283417 the example code they posted does ont work for me and still generates and error 3005.
What i need is simple. I want to turn my applicaiton into a Vi server.. Expose a vi that acceses elements in the Vi server.. (controls, queues, Globals etc) that are in the Vi server context. I would then like to build a vi .. or dll that calls the 'exposed' vi in the vi server to pass data to or from the vi server. The V test.zip example file in the above indicated post is a pretty good example of this .. it just does not seem to work when i build it in 8.5. Are there any GOOD and 'current' examples of using labview as the ActiveX server (Compiled) and calling exposed vis from an external application Labivew, Visual Basic.. etc?? I am only interested in cases where Labview is the Sever. or both client and server.
I have used a tool "ActiveXplorer" to examine the registered "exe" when the viserver is run. It always shows that there is no Type Library associated and the object is not creatable. There is a .tlb created by the project build however, where as the previous version 8.2.1 of Labview did not build that correctly. I have also tried this on 8.6 with similar error 3005 generated. sooooo what am i missing?
Thanks
Louis AshfordMike,
Thank you for your response to my question. The problem is that the example you site does not use the Labview vi as the Server. Excel is actually the vi server and the automation open is using and excel automation object. I am sure that Excel creates proper automation objects .. Labview however does not seem to. So while this example shows how labview can function as a client it is not an example of a compiled Labview Sever being accessed by a 'laview vi'. Possibly I am not looking at the vi that you are thinking of.
The examples i am aware of:
"ActiveX Event Callback for Excel.vi... (Excel is server not Labview vi)
"ActiveX Event Callback for IE.vi (same Labview vi is client)
"Write Table to XL.vi" ( again excel is the server)
"3D Graph Properties - Torus.vi" (accesses an activex Control 'not' and Activex EXE)
"3D Lorenz Attractor Draw at Compeltion using 3D Curve.vi (Uses an activex control not activex Exe server)
"3D Parametric Surface - Ribbon.vi (Uses an activex control not activex Exe server)
"3D Surface Example - Fluctuating Sine Wave.vi (Uses an activex control not activex Exe server)
"Excel Macro Example.vi (Uses excel as automation server..not Labview)
"FamilyTree.vi (uses MSComctlLib.ITreeView object not Labview as server)
"SlideShow.vi" (uses PowerPoint._Application not Laview as server)
Most of the posts I have seen are for versions prior to Labview version 8.2 (where the ActiveX server was broken) I have seen only a few posts that actually address the issue i am talking about. however thus far no real solution has been offered. I get the same results when compiling and testing this with 8.6.. as well. So have you tried this Mike? Possibly i am missing something very simple..
The example i did find and gave the link to is a pretty simple one. This does not work on my machine at all. You can select the automation server that is registered with windows after running the server one time and this then breaks the client vi.. I have found by reselecting the GetViReference property node in the Client vi that it will the 'fix' the client vi as far as labview is concerened and it no longer shows and error. Now when you run the Client vi it will infact find the vi server and will launch it ok. However. The open automation object then hangs.. for quite some time then returns the error
"Error -2146959355 occurred at Server execution failed
in Client_reader.vi" Obviously the automation Exe (server) was seen because it was opened yet it did not return a valid reference so the subsequent property nodes in the client.vi will fail. Something is wrong with Labviews opening of or creating of automation objects..
Thanks,,

Calling Console Application that uses WebBrowser from SQL Server - Not Running
Hi there. I am working in a program automation that needs to get files from a website and put it in a database. It is done but as I need a console application and need webbrowser that comes from Windows Forms, I am trying to call it from the SQL Server using
the xp_cmdshell but when it runs the .exe, it execute the block that is before the Application.Run() command but when it reaches this line, it stay running on Task manager but it not execute my code. How can I fix this? I had first created a Windows form application
but it was not working anyway and then I tried a console application and then I use the [STAThread] and Application.Run(). At least it runs the file from SQL Server but is not executing all my code, I think that it stops on Application.Run() line. Any help
will be very useful.
Thanks for now.Thanks for the response. What I mean is that it just run the part of the code that is just using the Console, that's the code:
// Main Method
[STAThread]
public static void Main()
clearDatabase(myConnection);
Console.Title = "Suframa Itens Robot";
//If log file exists, it is deleted
if ( File.Exists(@"suframaLog.txt") )
File.Delete(@"suframaLog.txt");
wb.DocumentCompleted += new WebBrowserDocumentCompletedEventHandler(loginWebsite);
try
//It is called as the program uses the WebBrowser Class from Windows Forms namespace
//and it is a console Application
Application.Run();
catch ( Exception ex )
Log(ex.Message);
As you can see, I call a function on start named ClearDatabase, when I call the file from sql server it executes, the tables are cleared, but what I think is that the problem stop when reach the line Application.Run() as it is the line that allows the remaining
code to execute as it uses events from WebBrowser class.
It is a program automation that needs to get a lot of files from a website that needs login and read line by line from the files and put on server, if I call it from the executable it runs fine, the only problem is when calling from SQL Server, Do you know
how to fix this?
Thanks. -
Extracting contents from Content Db to a file system
Hi,
What would be the best approach to extract the contents in Content Db to a file system and the metadata associated with them to a temporary database table
so that we can use them to migrate documents to another content management system ?
Thanks
Edited by: user10343552 on Oct 9, 2008 10:12 PMRestore the database to the SQL Server that the test farm is using. Use Mount-SPContentDatabase on the test SharePoint server (farm) to mount the content database to the test Web Application.

Problem using iTunes from Public Terminal
My problem is downloading from certain Public Terminals that will not allow iTunes to be installed and the IT at the local library refuse to allow it to be installed.
At home, I am on low-speed dial-up (56k) that prevent me from downloading TV Shows due to numerous time-outs and length of time for downloading.
Is there anyway I can access the iTunes store and download without having iTunes installed on the Public Terminal?
Currently, every few weeks, I go to the nearest University and use their Public Terminals to download material, but would prefer to use the local public library as it is much closer, and I could download more stuff.
Thank You for your assistance in this matter.I have no experience with anything this author advises. It sounds interesting, though and may provide you with direction.

Problem using read from spreadsheet file and polar plotting
Hi to all labview users,
i am a beginner in labview and i am trying to do a polar plot.
i read the polar plotting example in labview and it was straightforward.
I used "write to spreadsheet file" to gather data.
and they are in the following format
13 10
4 20
8 30
....etc
now. i tried using "read from spreadfile" to get the data into a array, then using "array to cluster" to convert the array into cluster, so i could connect it to the polar plot block
however, it kept saying i couldnt connect that way, because polar plot uses 1-d array with cluster of 2 element and my source is a cluster of 9 elements....
but doesnt the "read from spreadfile" block give me a 1-d array? and where does that 9 come from? i only have 3 rows and 2 columns in my data file....
any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
thx alot

I've made an example to try to help you with that question.
Notes:
- the file must have values separeted by tab
- reading the values from file as you mentioned using "read from spreadfile" you'll get a 2D array and not 1D;
