Problem using HTTPS

I am trying to post a message using HTTPS in XI.  I have defined a RFC connection to an external HTTPs partner and when I test the connection I am getting errors (the full log from dev_icm is below).  I am using client certificates and have created a PSE for it.  The third party has added my certificate to their trusted store.  The third party gets a message about non matching ciphers when I try to do the test connection.  Does anyone have any suggestions on things I can try to get this to work?  Our SAP SSL library is at the latest level.
Regards,
Jason

Hello Jason,
I believe the possible issue could be due to incorrect values to the following profile parameter
snc/permit_insecure_start
If SNC is activated (parameter snc/enable = 1 ), by default the
gateway does not start any programs that communicate without
SNC.
This is allowed with snc/permit_insecure_start.
Please check the instance profile parameter for the same.
Cheers

    HI Prabhat,
Thanx for your reply, I worked out and able to receive the data in oracle database, Actually there was some problem in insert Query. Now I have tested the same... and able to edit the same in the Database.....
But I am facing a new problem, Http Dispatcher in SES console is displaying all the Events generated as well as event in Que but there is no events in the Event Send. I guess it is not able to send the events.....?????
Event statical is showing like this
    Events Received: 0 (0.00/sec)
    Events Generated: 311 (0.19/sec)
    Events Sent: 2 (0.19/sec)
    Queued Events: 309 (0.19/sec)
Kindly suggest where is the problem, Is it a JSP problem or OSES end problem.....
    Thanks and regards

  • Timeout problem using HTTP connection in MIDP

    Hi,
I have one thread that does a HTTP connection (StreamConnection)with the server. In some cases, the connection is established to the server and request is sent to server, then connection hangs. I cannot check the response code since the response doesn't return back. In this case, my app also hangs on the progress bar screen. Is there any way to handle timeouts in these circumstances? How do I know if the response object doesn't return back?
Has anyone faced this problem before? Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
i am getting the same problem. my application hangs when i close the connection when the request has been sent to the server and before the data starts downloading on the client. i mean if i cancel the connection with in that time span it hangs otherwise if i close the connection while the data is being downloaded from the sever then it works fine.
if you have sloved this problem before please explain how to slove it.
    thanks,

  • Problem translating servlet name from an encoded URL when using HTTPS

    Hello:
I am experiencing a wierd issue when using WLS 5.1 with HTTPS and am hoping someone might
be able to shed some light...
I have deployed a web application and am using HTTPS.
So, a typical call to a servlet is
    https://foo.com/web_app_context/servlet_name/servlet_arguments
The servlet is used to upload files from disk to a database and to also download the same.
Therefore, the servlet_arguments string contains the file name among other things.
The problem seems to arise when the file name contains either a space or an
underscore e.g. "file_name" or "file name". It is then typically encoded as
    "file%20name" in
    the URL.
So a call then looks like:
    https://foo.com/web_app_context/servlet_name/file%20name
When this request is sent to WLS, it seems to truncate the servlet_name by a couple
of characters causing the request to fail.
    This works fine using HTTP.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Prashant

The JNDI call is different when you call an EJB from inside the J2EE.
    ctx = new InitialContext();
    ref = ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/<JNDI-Name>");

  • Problem Outlook Autodiscovery and "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP"

    Hi,
I have huge problem with Outlook Autodiscovery  and RPC over HTTP. In my organization i have Exchange 2010. After server restart something happen with autodiscovery. When client connect to Exchange everything works fine, but.. When client close Outlook
(2010/13) and open again, can connect only using LAN (mapi). When i check settings "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" is unchecked!! And all rpc settings (url, msstd:..) are gone!!! It drive me crazy :( When I change settings of course i
can connect thru rpc but only until autodiscovery change settings again :(
    Please help
    Regards
    michadar
ps. I tried disable Outlook Anywhere end enable, restart IIS, restart Exchange. I also try on one computer to disable autodiscovery using regedit but what struck me it still happens :(

Did you try resetting virtual directory? You might have to do this for all CAS servers.  Also, take a note of autodiscover vd settings, just to be on the safe side.
Here is the article I found on how to reset the virtual directory.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff629372(v=exchg.141).aspx
    I hope this helps.

  • Problems with BSP application using HTTPS in EP6.0

We developed a custom BSP which uses HTTPS protocol and HTMLB tags.  The BSP page has a date field (htmlb inputfield of type date..which allows the user to pick a date).  If I run this BSP in its own browser window, clicking on the date field will display a calendar.  However, if I run this BSP as an iView in the portal (we use EP6.0) and click on the date, I see a Javascript error message (in the browser status area) that says "access is denied" and the calendar isn't displayed.
Also, this BSP is a stateful application with the portal integration flag checked.  However the DSM terminator is not invoked when I close the iView.
If I change the BSP settings to use HTTP, I can run it as a portal iView without any such problems.  Has anyone experienced this and/or know how to resolve it?  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated? Thanks,
    Pradeep

    Hi Pradeep,
You replied that you have "I fixed the date dropdown issue by specifying the theme in iView definition", could you please let us know where to specify the theme because when i ty to create the BSP iView i never get the option for specifying the theme, your assistance would be highly appreciated,do we have any Note on this issue.

  • Problem redirecting HTTPS trafic using WCCP on a Cisco 6509

    Hi
I am implementing af Ironport web scanning solution in a current network and i have som problems with HTTPS trafic.
I am using the following command.
ip wccp 70 group-list 9 password xxx accelerated
    interface Vlan2
          ip wccp 70 redirect in
    access-list 9 permit <Ironport IP>
on the Ironport the "Dynamic service ID" of 70 is configuret to accept port 80 and 443 but i only recive port 80 trafic, but if i use windows proxy settings to direct the trafik i recieve trafic from both ports.
So i think the problem is in my WCCP configuration.

Can you reset the WCCP session between the Ironport and the 6K, SPAN the interface where the Ironport is connected, re-establish the WCCP session and collect the captures in pcap format, then upload them?!
Can you get the show ip wccp commands from the 6K to check the WCCP status?

  • Problems connecting to SVN using HTTPS

I am having an issue connecting to SVN using HTTPS.  I am using DreamWeaver 5.5.
We are being required to access the SVN Repository using LDAP.  Prior to this I was able to get to the SVN Repository just fine using the SVN connection.
With the HTTPS connection I am getting the following error in the log:
SVN: #175002, OPTIONS of 'https://ipAddress/repos/...': SSL handshake failed: SSL error code -1/1/336032856 (https://IPAddress)
Another developer who is on a MAC can get to the Repository using DreamWeaver and HTTPS just fine.  I have validated that all of the settings in DreamWeaver was the same.  The other developer using Windows is having the same issue that I am having.
I can get to the repository through Tortoise using HTTPS.
    Any recommendations?

FYI.  This issue has been solved.  After we connected using the server name instead of the IP address it was able to work.  So, if anyone else has this issue maybe this will help.
    Thanks.

  • IC Web - manager dashboard hangs using HTTPS for CRM_UI_FRAME

    Experts,
I am on an ISU-CCS project in realization using IC web front end.  Here are our versions:
    CRM2007
    ECC 6.0 EHP3
We have the IC web client talking to back-end and most everything is looking good.
I turned on HTTPS/SSL using all the usual notes....and it seems to work well, we can even SSO over to back-end to execute webgui transactions via IC Web.
My problem is when I use a certain business profile and test:
    Monitoring Operations --> Manager Dashboard
As long as I have HTTPS turned on for the CRM_UI_FRAME, if I access above mentioned portion of IC Web, it just sits there and creates a hundred different HTTP logins for my ID.  It blinks quick at the bottom and I see it try to execute the bsp: CRM_IC_MDB.
Funny how it tries to continue to use HTTP even through I am switching to HTTPS everywhere.
If I go back to HTTP, (turn off switch to HTTPS), the the manager dashboard works OK.
Normally, I would think problem with HTTPS/SSL setup, but all other portions of IC WEB work great using HTTPS/SSL.
I check ICM log and nothing unless I bump trace to level2.  Then too much stuff. But I do see this:
[Thr 1286] Handler 2: HttpAuthHandler matches url: /sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ic_mdb/main.do, port: 8000
[Thr 1286] Handler 3: HttpCacheHandler matches url: /sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ic_mdb/main.do, port: 8000
    [Thr 1286] Handler 4: HttpSAPR3Handler matches url: /sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ic_mdb/main.do, port: 8000
    [Thr 1286] Handler 0: HttpJ2EEHandler matches url: /sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ic_mdb/main.do, port: 8000
    I can't figure this one out......any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Nick

We figured out the issue.  There is a transaction launcher setting specific to MDB that has a https flag.

  • How do I disable the "Security Warning" - encrpted script message when I log in to a website using https ? If I cannot get the website owner to change it's code

    ''dupe of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1027400 - locking''
Whenever I log onto a website via https, I get this message and am unable to have Firefox save my password for the website.
Another user asked this question and it was answered, however, the user was asking in the context of his own website where he was able to change the code.
I am unable to change the code for this website but would like to disable this message and have Firefox remember my password for the user id I type in.
Whenever I log onto a website via https (including my website), I get this message:
Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party. Are you sure you want to continue sending this information? This is followed below with two boxes, "continue" and "cancel".
In order to connect with the website, I must click on "continue" each time I log onto the website. HOW do I permanently DISABLE this message?
    Chosen solution
Firefox gives that error because the page is on HTTPS but your form action is HTTP:
    <form action="http://eclipse69forum.com/index.php?app=core&module=global&section=login&do=process" method="post" id="login">
Can you change that to HTTPS?

There is a disconnect here: if the form is being submitted securely, then you would not get that message. So although you may be looking at an HTTPS address in the address bar, Firefox is warning you that your username and password are going to an HTTP address and being transmitted in the clear rather than being protected.
That's definitely not the normal way to set up a login page. Do you want to give the URL of the problem login page to get specific comments? Without knowing more, it sounds as though it isn't designed for secure logins and you may be wasting your time accessing their login form using HTTPS.
Anyway, to answer your question, I don't think there is a way to disable that warning.

After that, I tried setting permissions for the cwallet.sso file to ugo+rwx, but this leads to the same problems as mentioned above.
My second try was to setup an external WLS 12c, but it seems to be not yet possible to connect to a WLS 12c from within jDeveloper.
Do you have any ideas ?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Robin

After debugging the WLS Initialisation with jdb, I recognized that there was some trouble with dependent libraries.
In the end, I solved my problem by using another OS (Ubuntu 11.10) for development. There, the WLS works out of the box, even with 64-Bit libraries.
    Thank you for your help.

    Robin

  • How can I make the web server work on port 80 and not 443. I can only access my website using https.

On a Mac Mini server with OS X Lion 10.7.2, I am unalbe to get the web server working on port 80. It switches automatically to port 443 (https).
This situation complicates the access to FileMaker Web publishing, as I don't want my clients having to use https.
How can I change that? Does anyone know?
    Thanks for any reply

in the server: I checked the SSL certificate. Tried several configuration.
    Well, that's a problem for a start.
Your port 80 connection should NOT use SSL. Port 80 is the standard HTTP port, not HTTPS and most applications that connect to port 80 will not expect to use SSL
If you want to run a site under both HTTP and HTTPS then you create two sites, one on port 80 without SSL and one on port 443 with SSL
