• Encountered problem when invoking a Tuxedo service

Good day.
I'm currently encountering a problem when trying to invoke a Tuxedo service from a JCS. The error is a LIBTUX_CAT:488 : ERROR: Invalid data pointer given to tpreturn(). The returned error message to the WLS console was "tpcall invocation failed[null]."
It was previously working until I added a few more lines of code that invoked a database.
Both the JCS and the JCX used to invoke the Tuxedo service are in a Web Service project, stored separately in different folders though.
Could anyone help please? I haven't found any solution to this problem yet.
Thank you.

Umm.. I already problem. Sorry for bothering everyone.
I was simply passing a value that was longer than the set buffer in the Tuxedo service.
Could someone please close topic? Thank you.

• 11g preview version 3: JNDI Lookup problem when calling PL/SQL webservice

Hi,
I am experiencing a problem when calling a PL/SQL Webservice from a BPEL flow.
When I am trying to test my BPEL flow from the SOA Console I get a "Error doing JNDI lookup on target jdbc/MyDBDS"
The composite application including the BPEL flow is deployed in one application. "CompositeApp" and the web service in another Application called
"WebServiceApp".
Both applications are deployed on the same built in OC4J Application Server
If I test the webservice in isolation from the SOA console it works. It also seems to be working if the webservice and the and the BPEL flow is in the same project.
If anyone has any ideas on this one I would be very greatful.
Thanks in advance

try creating the MyDBDS connection as an application resource in both applications.

• Problems when invoking "ant run" for sample how-to-ejb30-mdb

Hi,
I'm new to J2EE and Java. I get the following error when invoking "<ant run" from the command-line as indicated in MDB 3.0 tutorial "http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/10131/how_to/how-to-ejb30-mdb/doc/how-to-ejb30-mdb.html". Note that the sample application ejb30mdb had already been successfully deployed to my stand-alone OC4J 10.1.3.1.0. Can anybody advise on how to resolve this problem?

• Problem when invoke the Webservice WSDL

Hi ,
Use case :
I have two applications (Webservices) A and B.They have their own WSDL urls.
From A ---> request format at A ---->Transform that into B request format----->forward that(request) to B request --- > get B response -----> tranfrom that into A response format ----> A response
First part of usecase:
I need to send the request from A to B.But both A and B has different request and response schemas(they will have similar kind of fileds but their naming convention will be different.That is why transformation is required in jdeveloper)
I have developed a composite which has one BPEL process as component.
I am placing the A webservice as "exposed Service" swimlane and B webservice in 'external reference'.BPEL process is in component swimlane.
I deployed that Composite which has above BPEL Process(Takes input from one wsdl url and transforms that request format to (another) webservice request format as explained above) which tries to invoke(send request to) the another webservice Wsdl.
When I test that composite (That WSDL url),I am getting service invokation exception.
Please see the below exception:

I am getting "Webservice invokation failed" message and above exception.
I am using some proxy server to access internet in my company. It is telling(If u see above exception u will be able to see) the below info in some part of exception.
javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 401 Unauthorized at oracle.sysman.emas.model.wsmgt.WSTestModel.invokeOperation(WSTestModel.java:575) at
Is there any problem with authentication to that wsdl url?
I think u can understand my problem by looking at above clearly explained content.
Hope u guys will help me out in this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Hope I will receive response as soon as possible as it is very critical at this point.
Thanks

Hi,
Some part is requiring authentication, either the proxy or the web service provider. First thing is to determine which of them.
Are you able to call B via SOAP-UI? Are you passing authentication in SOAP-UI? If not the problem is in you proxy server.
Check 401 error here:
http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E401.html
Cheers,
Vlad

• UnknowHostException when invoking a remote WebService

I am new at web services and i got develop the follow:
I have created a web service with JDeveloper with the option : WebService Client an Proxy. I have not selected the option of copy wsdl to proyect because when I set the package names the web services classes never get created.
So I deploy as a jar (this is inside a WebServiceProject) and reference it in the ViewControllerProject. In my machine i test it and run ok, but when I deploy the application in a production weblogic server(10.3.5) i got the error:
javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: Failed to acces the WSDL at <webServiceUrl?WSDL >
Caused by java.net.UnknowHostException : remoteHost
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0.
Thank you

hi,
I am also getting the same exception when making call to the server.
If u get the solution for this problem.can u please tell me why this is happening.
Thanks.

By the way, when I deploy the same web service on an oracle application server on a local machine (in same physical network), every thing goes well and this exception doesn't appear.
By the way, I also tried a JAX-RPC web service and the same exception is thrown.
So please can somebody give me a help.

• ClassCastException when invoking an Axis WebService

Hi all
I have an Axis (1.4.2) web service and a Tomcat 4 server.
From time to time, when calling the web method, an exception occurs as follows:
*method public java.lang.String[] MyClass.UPDATE(java.lang.String[],java.lang.String[]) with arguments [Ljava.lang.String;,[Ljava.lang.String;. The arguments do not match the signature.*
*java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: java.lang.ClassCastException@b5b09d*
Can anyone give me a hint on this?
I believe java.lang.String[] and [Ljava.lang.String are equivalent (and the parameters being passed are of correct type String[]).. So, how can the above error be happening since the argument types and those stated in the call are the exact same?!
And mostly, why does this error only happens from time to time? After a restart to the server I no longer get this exception.. til next time.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Just in case someone runs into the same problem, I live here my solution:
In may case the problem was the wsdl definition. I developed the web service in java and generated the wsdl with Maven. Automatically it generates the wsdl like this (I just copy the last section):
<wsdl:service name="tso-ws">
<wsdl:port name="tso-wsHttpSoap11Endpoint" binding="ns:tso-wsSoap11Binding">
<soap:address location="http://localhost:8080/axis2/services/tso-ws"/>
</wsdl:port>
<wsdl:port name="tso-wsHttpSoap12Endpoint" binding="ns:tso-wsSoap12Binding">
<soap12:address location="http://localhost:8080/axis2/services/tso-ws"/>
</wsdl:port>
<wsdl:port name="tso-wsHttpEndpoint" binding="ns:tso-wsHttpBinding">
<http:address location="http://localhost:8080/axis2/services/tso-ws"/>
</wsdl:port>
</wsdl:service>
The problem was the <wsdl:service name="tso-ws"> section. There were 3 port definitions with 3 different bindings but all of them have the same service location. So In the BPEL process I created the partner link using the service location.
I guess BPEL was using the http binding, so I deleted two of the por definitions and just left this in the <wsdl:service name="tso-ws"> section of the wsdl
<wsdl:service name="tso-ws">
<wsdl:port name="tso-wsHttpSoap12Endpoint" binding="ns:tso-wsSoap12Binding">
<soap12:address location="http://localhost:8080/axis2/services/tso-ws"/>
</wsdl:port>
By doing this, it works. I read in some forums that BPEL doesn't work with the http_post protocol so that's why I deleted that definition. And someone told me that it uses soap12 so that's why I deleted that definition also.
That's the way I solved it. Hope this helps.

• Problem when adding ABAP custom webservice with Visual Studio 2010

Hi All,
After creating a webservice for a custom RFC function developed in a ECC6.0 SAP machine, I tried to add it to a Visual Studio 2010 windows aplication (through a web reference connection).
The sequence I've done is:
- Create RFC in ABAP, with testing ok
- Create a WEBSERVICE with the ABAP editor
- Configured the webservice with SICF with:
Procedure: Standard
Logon data: standard R3 user
Security requirement: Standard
Authentication: Standard SAP User
Then, in SOAMANAGER I copied the webservice URL and tried to add it to Visual Studio 2010, but it keeps asking me the user and password. I try to supply the R3 username and password but if fails.
Why is ECC6.0 asking the user and passord if I've defined a SAP user for the login process?
Is there any way to disable this?
Thanks,
Manuel Dias

Hello Manuel,
You can use the following code:
CredentialCache cache = new CredentialCache();
cache.Add(new Uri("WEBSERVICEURL:PORTNUMBER/"), "Basic", new NetworkCredential("USERNAME", "PASSWORD"));
SAP needs a password.
Kind regards,
JK

• Problem when invoke Web Service.

Hi all.
I have an interface that receive an IDoc and map it against a Web Services. In SXMB_MONI there is only one record and segment occurrence in XML is 0...1
In Receiver system's log figure that the web services was invoked too many times by XI.
Any Idea about it?
Thanks & Regards.

Hi,
May be it is because of the ReTry attempt from the integration engine to deliver the messages,,
Check out the RWB>Message Monitoring>Message Display tool to do the analysis..
How many messages are there in the SXMB_MONI ? I don't think so, it is because of occurence of the data.. check the message mapping...

• Problem in assiging header to invoke an external webservice.

HI,
I want to assign some additional elements to the header when invoking an external webservice.
I am creating a variable named customHeader and it contains an element of anytype.
later in the assign activity i am assigning the following
<copy>
<from expression="ora:parseEscapedXML('<payload><payloadManifest xmlns="http://www.starstandards.or/webservices/2003/12/transport"><manifest xmlns="" id="Content0" namespaceURI="http://www.starstandards.org/STAR" element="ProcessSalesLead"/></payloadManifest></payload>')"/>
<to variable="customHeader"
query="/client:CustomHeader"/>
</copy>
so in the soapmessage the header is added as below:

but I donot need that customHeader part to be added.My header should be like this:
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

• Oracle Server 11.2.0.1.0 64-bit fails when invoked from InstallShield

I'm trying to install the Oracle Server 11.2.0.1.0 64-bit on Windows 2008 SP1 from the InstallShield 2010.
The installation is silent. Invoked by command line:
J:\Oracle_11.2.0_x64\OracleServer_11.2.0.1_x64\setup.exe ORACLE_HOME_NAME="ARAXI_11" -silent -nowelcome -force -nowait -noconsole -loglevel fine -noconfig -ignoreSysPrereqs use_prereq_checker=false -responseFile C:\Oracle\11.2.0\installation\scripts\SVRCUSTOM11.2.0.rsp
The problem is that when the command is invoked from command line (cmd), the installation is successful.
However, when the same command is invoked from under the InstallShield, the installation fails on Architecture requirement check:
INFO: *********************************************

INFO: Adding ExitStatus INVALID_USER_INPUT to the exit status set
The questions:
1. Why the requirement checks give different results when installation is invoked from CMD and from InstallShield?
2. Why the requirement checks are done despite the parameters "-ignoreSysPrereqs" and "use_prereq_checker=false"?
3. What should I do to get the installation pass (either remove the check or make it satisfying)?
PS. The 32 bit Oracle Server installation on Windows 2003 works without problem when invoked from InstallShield.

Please use 2008R2 if you want to install 11gR2 versionThank you for that update. Possibly it will help me to solve another trouble.
Regarding the problem I described, the issue is that I install Oracle Client 32 bit prior to trying to install Oracle Servier 64 bit.
The Oracle Client setup had started RemoteExecService.exe 32 bit process. And the process remained running after the installation completed.
The Oracle Server setup utilizes the running RemoteExecService.exe process. Since the process is 32 bit, the architecture requirement check had failed.
I've added to my script killing the process
taskkill /F /IM RemoteExecService.exe
before invoking the Oracle Server installation.
That way the Oracle Server setup starts another RemoteExecService.exe process and the new process is 64 bit.
The architecture requirement succeed.

Hi Jitu,
I changed the wsdl. And so I dont get the warning anymore. My Webservice also runs well, now. Thanks anyway for the reply.
There is a nice tech article on the sun network, which solved my problem. The basic idea is to split the wsdl into 2 wsdl documents. one containing all the porttypes messages and so on. And the other wsdl contains the binding and service elements.
If you are interested check out this link:
http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/xml/jaxrpcpatterns/index2.html
thanks,
