Problems when invoking "ant run" for sample how-to-ejb30-mdb
Hi,
I'm new to J2EE and Java. I get the following error when invoking "<ant run" from the command-line as indicated in MDB 3.0 tutorial "http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/10131/how_to/how-to-ejb30-mdb/doc/how-to-ejb30-mdb.html". Note that the sample application ejb30mdb had already been successfully deployed to my stand-alone OC4J 10.1.3.1.0. Can anybody advise on how to resolve this problem?

Problem solved. The code works. Just a typo when setting the ORACLE_HOME environment variable. However, I do get the following error when invoking "ant run". Is this a problem?

i use captivate 8, the problem when i make app for android. the sound not heard.
i use android4.4. how i do?
i use phonegap online.
thank youYes I do spend a lot of time in China but I have had problems in other countires as well. I am in China right now.
I have two Gmail accounts and one Cox account. Cox is my intranet provider back home. I have had problems with all three accounts.
I have tried several outgoing port settings. 993, 995 465, 587 are some that I can remember trying.
Sometimes my accounts will go offline without me doing anything. This is all a mystery to me. I don't have any idea why I have trouble like this. A few minutes ago I changed my Cox account outgoing port and took the account on line and I got my incoming email but when I tried to forward an email that I got it would not go out.
Any ideas you have would be helpful. -
Problem when trying to run MD04
I am experiencing problems when trying to run my MD04 Collective access, for vendor say X & Y.
I buy many products from these vendors and I therefore need to have access to place these orders anytime of the day (as it can take more than one hour to raise the orders) and it is only allowing me access last thing in the day for some strange reason.
Please can you look into this - I'm not sure if there is a server issue due to the size of the job, but I must have the ability to undertake this task.
I tried to limit the selection further but still the problem is not getting solved.
please tell me what else can be done?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sonal.Basically when i am trying to do collective access thru MD04 I am putting plant and vendor.
the sys is not displaying the stock reqmt list but is getting time out.
I tried limiting further by putting delivery dates, MRP controller but still it is not working.
What else can be done?
Thanks & Regards,

Problems with wlserver ant task for WL 8.1
hi
i have a problem with using wlserver ant task for Weblogic 8.1
basically i want to start the server that is already preconfigured and deploy
one ear.
here's what i do:
<taskdef name="wlserver" classname="weblogic.ant.taskdefs.management.WLServer">
<classpath refid="lib.classpath"/>
</taskdef>
<wlserver action="start" dir="D:/BEA/user_projects/domains/mydomain"
output="wls81.log"/>
(and then the deployment task - irrelevant here)
the classpath is generated automatically and includes all jars in the specific
project directory:
<path id="lib.classpath">
<fileset dir="${proj.lib.dir}">
<include name="**/*.jar"/>
</fileset>
</path>
(weblogic.jar is there as well)
the problem is when i run it, the following happens:
- if i have action="start" (or no action attribute at all), i get the following
exception:

- if i change it to action="startup" as specified on "wlserver Ant Task Reference"
it seems that this task is skipped completely. no error messages, no stack trace,
nothing. i tried -verbose and -debug options on ant, but there're no logs displayed
whatsoever. it takes less than a second to run this task so i presume it's just
getting skipped completely.
i run this from the standalone Ant 1.5.4 on Windows environment.
i've followed the topic "wlserver Ant task for WebLogic 8.1" where kind of similar

anyone has any idea about how to get this going?

Encountered problem when invoking a Tuxedo service
Good day.
I'm currently encountering a problem when trying to invoke a Tuxedo service from a JCS. The error is a LIBTUX_CAT:488 : ERROR: Invalid data pointer given to tpreturn(). The returned error message to the WLS console was "tpcall invocation failed[null]."
It was previously working until I added a few more lines of code that invoked a database.
Both the JCS and the JCX used to invoke the Tuxedo service are in a Web Service project, stored separately in different folders though.
Could anyone help please? I haven't found any solution to this problem yet.
Thank you.Umm.. I already problem. Sorry for bothering everyone.
I was simply passing a value that was longer than the set buffer in the Tuxedo service.
Could someone please close topic? Thank you. -
Problem when define Value range for data element
Dear
When I define a new data element in ABAP Dictionary, for example, ZDATA_ELEMENT_TEST.
I use domain ZDOMAIN_TEST.
(Data type is DEC, the length is 10, and decimals is 2 with sign.)
Now, I want to restrict that, user can ONLY input the value from 10 to 100.
From ABAP course and the Internet, I switch to "Value Range" tab, and define 10 for Lower Limit, 100 for Upper Limit in Intervals section.
And write the simple program.
PARAMETERS test TYPE ZDATA_ELEMENT_TEST.
WRITE: test.
And run it.
Line: -
But, there is a problem.
When I input 200 for test, the program still run and display 200 to screen without any error report or notification. The ABAP runtime system doesn't check the input value.
I want to config for the domain that can satisfies, if the user input the wrong value (e.g: 200 in the previous case), the program will auto raise the error report, or exception, or sth like that.
Any help is welcome.Hi Hanni,
Welcome to forum.
Try to attach key word VALUE CHECK to your PARAMETER statement.
I.e:
PARAMETERS test TYPE ZDATA_ELEMENT_TEST VALUE CHECK.
Note: The addition VALUE CHECK cannot be used together with the additions AS CHECKBOX, RADIOBUTTON, or NO-DISPLAY.

DNS caching problem when configuring Windows clients for SCAN
I have a Windows 2008 R2 server running apps that connect to a RAC cluster database using the SCAN address. The SCAN address however always returns the same IP when you ping it from that server. If I flush the DNS cache I get a different address, but again the same one all the time. I believe this is caused by the fact that DNS caching is enabled on Windows by default. This has caused problems when one of the RAC nodes goes south and the cached SCAN IP is not responding. The applications lose their connections, try to reconnect, but can't because they keep using the same dead SCAN IP.
I suggested we disable the DNS Client service on those machines so that the SCAN name correctly cycles through the addresses but the Windows admin says not to do this. Is there a documented practice somewhere that this is OK to do for Windows RAC clients? Or is there a way to disable caching just on the SCAN name but leave it enabled from every other host name?
TIAWhat happened was the SCAN VIP did not fail over. The node VIP did not fail over. The database instance was running but I could not connect to it even locally as sysdba. I got the message "protocol adapter error". This normally only occurs on Windows for local connections when either (a) the Oracle service is not running, or (b) you didn't set the ORACLE_SID variable correctly. Neither was true.
I tried "crsctl stop crs" but it could not stop the listeners.
I rebooted the server. During the reboot, neither the VIP no SCAN VIPs failed over. It's almost as if CRS either didnt recognize tat the other node had been shutdown, or it didn't care.
I have never seen this happen before.
For the record this is Oracle RAC 11.2.0.1. -

Error message that no virtual memory pops up & crashes when application is run for more than 1 hour
My application uses VISA serial operations. It has arrays to store data collected from various devices. I reinitialise the arrays each time the index reaches 50.
Data acquisitions is carried out in separate threads by invoking the runVI method.
When i run the application on Win XP continuaously for more than 1 hour it gives an error message that no more virtual memory to complete the task and the system hangs up.
I open the serial port only once and close it when the application is terminated. But serial read/write operations are done continuaously
Is the error caused due to memory leakage? How can i solve the problem. It's very urgent and i shall be thankful if i ge
t the help.Yes, it sounds like a memory leakage (either that or you're trying to run an advanced app on an old computer w/ little memory and a small hard drive).
Things to try:
1. Ensure it's only labview, and not say labview and another application interacting. This isn't a likely case, but you never know what people have on their boxes and I've seen some weird things with virus scanners. Hit Ctrl-Shift-Esc to get the task manager. Go to processes and watch the memory consumption (click Memory twice to sort in descending order) of the various processes. If labview keeps rising, you've got a leak.
2. If only a reasonable amount of memory is being used, double check your page file settings (read virtual memory).
From the Control Panel
Select System
Select
Advanced Tab
Under Performance, select the Settings button
Select Advanced Tab
Under Virtual Memory, let windows dynamically adjust the page file (and any XP speed tweakers out there can now chime in about how wrong this is. This essentially allows windows to keep upping the virtual memory as needed by various processes.
3. Find the leak. In LV Tools->Advanced->Profile VIs. Turn on memory stats. Start the profiler. Start your vi. If the vi crashes labview totally, you'll have to keep hitting snapshot to find the leaky vi (the one that's memory keeps growing).
4. Upload the vi to the forum so we can give it a looksee.

Performance problems when using Premiere Elements for photo slideshows
Hello,
I had been using Premiere Elements 9 (PE9) to make a simple slideshow for my parents from their vacation trip and I ran into some serious performance problems. I had used it to create similar projects before, but not nearly as big. This one is like 260 photos, so basically it is 260 seperate clips. I have a POWERHOUSE workstation (see below) so it isn't my PC. Even when PE9 crashes, looking at my performance monitor my CPU and RAM aren't even halfway being utilized. I finally switched to Windows Movie Maker of all things and it worked seemlessly, amazing really. I'm wondering if I was just using PE9 for something other than what it was designed for since there weren't really any video clips, just a ton of photos that I made into video clips, if that makes sense. Based upon my experience with this so far, I can't imagine using PE9 anymore for anything really. I might have the need for a more professional video editing program in the near future, although it does seem like PE has a lot of features. How can I make sure it utilizes my workstation to its full potential? Here are my specs:
PC
Intel Core i7-2600K 4.6 GHz Overclocked
ASUS P8P67 Deluxe Motherboard
AMD Firepro V8800 Video Card
Crucial 128 GB SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive (Operating System)
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) Memory
Corsair H60 Liquid CPU Cooler
Corsair Professional Series Gold AX850 Power Supply
Graphite Series 600T Mid-Tower Case

Western Digital Green 3 TB SATA III Hard Drive
Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse G700
I don’t play any games but it’s a great productivity mouse with 13 customizable buttons
Wacom Intuos5 Pen Tablet
Yes, this system is blazingly fast. I have yet to feel it slow down, even with Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator and numerous other apps running at the same time. HOWEVER, Premiere Elements 9 has crashed NUMERUOS times, every time my system wasn't even close to being fully taxed.

Herman Miller Embody Ergonomic Chair (one of my favorite items)Andy,
There ARE some differences between PrE and PrPro w/ an approved CUDA-capable and MPE hardware acceleration-enabled nVidia video card, but those differences show up ONLY in the quality of the Scaling. The processing overhead is almost exactly the same, when it comes to handling the extra pixels.
As of PrPro CS 5, two things changed:
The max. size of Still Images went up from 4096 x 4096 pixels, to quite a bit larger (cannot recall the numbers now).
The Scaling algorithms have been improved, though ONLY with the correct nVidia cards, with MPE hardware support enabled.
Now, there CAN be another consideration, between the two programs, in that PrPro CS 5 - CS 6, are 64-bit ONLY, so one benefits from the computer and OS to run it. PrE can be either 32-bit, or 64-bit, so one might, or might not, be taking advantage of the 64-bit program and OS. Still, the processing overhead will be almost identical, it's just that the 64-bit OS can spread it around a bit.
I still recommend Scaling the large Still Images in PS, prior to Import, to keep that processing overhead as low as is possible. Scaled Still Images work just fine, and I have one Project with 3000+ Scaled Still Images, that edits just fine in PrPro, even on my older 32-bit workstation. Testing that same machine, and PrPro some years ago, I could ONLY work with up to 5 - 4096 x 4096 Stills, before things ground to a crawl.
Now, Adobe AfterEffects handles large Still Images differently, so I just moved that test Project to AE, and added another 20 large Images, which edited just fine. IIRC, AE can handle Still Images up to 10K x 10K pixels, and that might have gone up, as of CS 5.
Good luck, and hope that helps,

Problem when invoke the Webservice WSDL
Hi ,
Use case :
I have two applications (Webservices) A and B.They have their own WSDL urls.
From A ---> request format at A ---->Transform that into B request format----->forward that(request) to B request --- > get B response -----> tranfrom that into A response format ----> A response
First part of usecase:
I need to send the request from A to B.But both A and B has different request and response schemas(they will have similar kind of fileds but their naming convention will be different.That is why transformation is required in jdeveloper)
I have developed a composite which has one BPEL process as component.
I am placing the A webservice as "exposed Service" swimlane and B webservice in 'external reference'.BPEL process is in component swimlane.
I deployed that Composite which has above BPEL Process(Takes input from one wsdl url and transforms that request format to (another) webservice request format as explained above) which tries to invoke(send request to) the another webservice Wsdl.
When I test that composite (That WSDL url),I am getting service invokation exception.

I am getting "Webservice invokation failed" message and above exception.
I am using some proxy server to access internet in my company. It is telling(If u see above exception u will be able to see) the below info in some part of exception.
javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 401 Unauthorized at oracle.sysman.emas.model.wsmgt.WSTestModel.invokeOperation(WSTestModel.java:575) at
Is there any problem with authentication to that wsdl url?
I think u can understand my problem by looking at above clearly explained content.
Hope u guys will help me out in this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Hope I will receive response as soon as possible as it is very critical at this point.
ThanksHi,
Some part is requiring authentication, either the proxy or the web service provider. First thing is to determine which of them.
Are you able to call B via SOAP-UI? Are you passing authentication in SOAP-UI? If not the problem is in you proxy server.
Check 401 error here:

Problem in process chain running for 3 days
Hi Experts,
Please help me
We have process chain like below
1. delete index
2. full loads going 3 cubes (16 infopacs)
3. loading to ods and then update to cube
4. delete overlapping requests (16 infopac)
5. create index
6. aggregate filling
7. delete PSA
Now the issue is, from last Saturday onwards
Process chains was still in Yellow status till date, so now, 1,2,3,4, are still running
In process chains, out if 16 infopacs, 12 are green, remaining 4 are stopped
And in ODS activation of ods data variant shows yellow, but when checked the data is activated, but not pushed to cube. When checked log it show u201Csystem exception error_messageu201D, so process terminated.
When we checked for shortdump,
It says u201Clocal time on the application server is incorrectu201D
Experts please let me know how to solve this and correct the load.Hi Experts,
Thank u for your help,
I have done the steps manually yestarday, checked todays, still it is in yellow status.
let me explain the scenario,
The data is going to 3 cubes,
the process chain is designed like this,
1. initially delete index
2. full load to cube using 16 infopac and loading from (2)ODS to cube.
3. delete overlapping requests
4. create index (3 cubes)
5. fill aggregates (only one cube)
6. Delete PSA request
so now , chain is having problem at
1. data is loaded to ods
2. data activation (showing yellow, but when checked data is activated)
3. further update to cube (2 cubes) in process chain this is not started atall ( so y'day I've done manually)
4. out 16 infocpack, only 12 infopacs are green and remaining 4 are not started.
so yestarday I've manually schedule remaining 4 infopacs.
and deleted previour requests in infocube as they are full load, but I did'nt done create index and fill aggregate steps.
now the problem is , out of 3 cube report available request is present for 2 cubes, but for 3 cube this report request is not available, but QM status is green
please let me know how to proceed.
one small silly question, do i need to fill aggregate step to get this report available request.....please suggest.
Thanks & Regards,

Rich: calendar problem when automatically adjust clock for daylight saving
Hello, I'm in trouble when the option to automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time is marked. My locale is pt_BR, and when I try to select the day it simply returns to 17.10.2010 on 16.10.2010 took the test in the following component and realized that the same problem occurs when the Windows clock option is selected .
http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/calendar.jsf?tab=usage&cid=15374785
I also noticed that this problem occurs in all components of the JSF schedule, no matter what the distribution
http://www.primefaces.org:8080/prime-showcase/ui/calendarDisplay.jsf
Question is, how to make the jsf solve this problem without having to uncheck the Windows clock?
See below for the following attempts to try to fix the problem:
faces-config.xml file
<locale-config>
<default-locale> en </ default-locale>
<supported-locale> en_US </ supported-locale>
<supported-locale> of </ supported-locale>
<supported-locale> fr </ supported-locale>
<supported-locale> es </ supported-locale>
<default-time-zone-id> Brazil / East </ default-time-zone-id>
</locale-config>
{code}
Created file DateTimeZoneConverter
{code:java}
import java.util.SimpleTimeZone;
import javax.faces.convert.DateTimeConverter;
public class extends DateTimeZoneConverter DateTimeConverter {
public DateTimeZoneConverter () {
super ();
SimpleTimeZone stz = new SimpleTimeZone (7200000, "Brazil/East");
this.setTimeZone (stz);
{code}
In the example above I'm forcing the useDaylight is false.
In component:
{code:java}
<rich:calendar id = "periodoVigencia" enableManualInput = "true" datePattern = "dd / MM / yyyy" inputSize = "10"
value = "# () contratoMBeanList.criteria.dataInicioVigencia"
label = "# (msg ['contrato.consultarContrato.field.periodovigencia.label'])">
<f:convertDateTime pattern="dd/MM/yyyy" type="date" dateStyle="short" timeZone="GMT-3"/>
</rich:calendar>
{code}
and in the web.xml file
{code:java}
<context-param>
<param-name> timezone </ param-name>
<param-value> GMT-3 </ param-value>
</context-param>
{code}
But nothing worked. And now what do I do? How to fix this problem, there are some more configuration to be done? Help, please!
P.S.:Apologize for my english, I'm Brazilian.Like I said, were attempts to resolve the error.
OK, now how to solve this problem? Try the test in your area by selecting the day that DST occurs, you will see what will happen the same problem (to select the day that DST occurs on the screen will return one day less), do the test with the demos that I put in the first post, rich: calendar and prime: calendar.
I do not know if it helps, but I noticed the firebug firefox debugging, it does not matter the way you change the locale or timezone, as the current date from the calendar javascript will always be the standard of the machine running the component. -
Problem when creating connection pool for Informix
Hi all,
could you please help me to create a connection pool for informix?
I use a com.informix.jdbcx.IfxXADataSource driver and here are the properties
user=informix
password=informix

dataSourceName=TestEntityPool2
portNumber=1526
databaseName=vka
ifxIFXHOST=TW010766
serverName=vka
Here is the error message :

For JBuilder :

Driver : com.informix.jdbcx.IfxXADataSource

For WebLogic :
URL : jdbc:informix-sqli://tra019746:1526/vka:informixserver=vka
Driver : com.informix.jdbcx.IfxXADataSource
Properties : password=informix
user=informixOk. The problem may have to do with your reiterating all the properties below.
url=jdbc:informix-sqli://tra019746:1526/vka:informixserver=vka
portNumber=1526
databaseName=vka
serverName=vka
ifxIFXHOST=tra019746All these above are implicit in the URL you give to jBuilder and weblogic.
Try defining the pool with only the user and password as properties.

Joseph,
The driver that I use comes from informix.
I've tried with JBuilder and no problem. JBuilder can connect to informixand
I can see the tables from JBuilder.
There's something wrong in the configuration with Weblogic.
Many thanks for your help.I understand that there's something wrong with the configuration with
weblogic,
but the problem is due to a mistake in the input you gave to the pool
definition,
and I want to solve that. Please show me the URL, driver name and properties
you give to JBuilder to make Informix connections. Also, show me the
first few lines
that get printend out when you run the weblogic start script. I want
to see the
line that prints out the classpath used in the script for starting the
server.
thanks,
Joe

Ok, I would like you to download Informix's driver from them, and
run one of their example programs, just to prove you can connect to
informix, using their driver, with no weblogic in the picture. We
have
to establish that, because that's all weblogic will be doing anyway.
Once
we know how to connect to informix via JDBC, we can do weblogic stuff.

Hi,
I forgot to mention that I'm working with Weblogic server 7 and
Informix 2000 9.20.
For the configuration, I followed the example given by Weblogic
http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs70/jdbc/thirdparty.html#thirdparty001,
table 5.2
Here is the example given by weblogic :
user=username
url=jdbc:informix-sqli://dbserver_name_or_ip:port_num/dbname:informixserver=dbserver_name_or_ip
password=password
portNumber =port_num;
databaseName=dbname
serverName=dbserver_name
ifxIFXHOST=dbserver_name_or_ip
If you take a look at the link, you'll see a note :
"In the Properties string, there is a space between portNumber and=". I've tried
that but it seems that this bug had been resolved. When I put the
space,
I've
an number exception.
Thanks for your help.
