Looks like you don't have partition license or don't have a complete install of Oracle version 8.0.5. The best way to check is do a sqlplus user/passwd and look for a message that said "Production with the Partitioning and objects options" to appear before the SQL> prompt. Hope this helps....

Problem while selecting a table after creating the dblink

We have created the dblink for oracle to sql server and it created successfully,
But while selecting the table from oracle we are getting the below issue,

Error While Activating the Table

i have created a table name ZEMPLOY11 in ABAP Dictionary containing fields Client [NUM] Carieer [NUM] Firstname [CHAR] and Surname [CHAR] and save it . when i activated this table it shows and error Mesage "Errors occurred during activation". kindly help me out
i have created few more tables and faceing the same problem

Hi Ammad,
Could you please paste the error what you are getting so that we can help you in a bettre way, I think most probably you haven't assign a key variable while creating the table, so in the screen where you have mentioned the fiels Client NUM Carieer NUM Firstname CHAR and Surname CHAR ,mark client and carrioer as key fields, then try to activate it after setting the technical setting of the table.
Hope now you will able to activate your tables.

Ora-00604,ora-01422 error while dropping the table

Hi gurus,
I am using Oracle 10g R2 on windows 2000 platform,while dropping the table the following error occured.
ORA-00604 : error occurred at recursive sql level 1.
ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows.
Need urgent help.

Is there an AFTER EVENT trigger defined on this database? Can you check that?
Secondly, was this database migrated from earlier version? I remember having seen this problem on 9i (it was 9.2.0.1 or 9.2.0.2; I can't recall exactly).

Problem while dropping a table

Dear All,
I am facing a problem while dropping a table in Oracle 10g.
I am able to find the number of records in the table but unble to delete it.
SQL> select count(*) from merchant_audit;
COUNT(*)
30028278
SQL> drop table merchant_audit;
drop table merchant_audit
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
I have to drop this table from the database. Please help.

Iam facing a problem while downloading the data from ALV Grid to excel sheet. This is working fine in Development server , when comes to Quality and Production servers I have this trouble.
   I have nearly 11 fields in ALV Grid and out of which one is PO number of length 10 , all the ten numbers are visible in the excel sheet if we download it from development server but when we download it from Quality or Production it is showing only 9 numbers.
Can any one help me out in this case.

if this problems happens dont display the same internal as u finally got.
just create new internal table without calling any standard data elements and domains... but the new internal table s similar like ur final internal table and move all the values to new int table.
for eg.
ur final internal int table for disp,
     data : begin of itab occur 0,
                    matnr like mara-matnr,
               end of itab.
create new like this,
           data : begin of itab occur 0,
                    matnr(12) type N,
               end of itab.

An error occurred while partitioning the disk

iMAC, brand new
3 TB Fusion HD
Windows 7 install disc (Windows 8 - blech!)
I've tried using the minimum partition.
I've tried divide equally.
I've rebooted and repaired disc (no errors).
I've read every thread in this discussion.
Please help.
The message I get, every time while partitioning, is this:
Your disc could not be partitioned
An error occurred while partitioning the disk
Is the Fusion HD the issue? And if it is, why are we all told in the store, "Oh, you can use Windows! Bootcamp comes already installed!" when it is such an issue to install Windows?
I purchased the Fusion drive specifically to have that processing power to run Windows and Mac.
I'd stick to only Mac, but work software requires Windows

I Have succumbed to this problem today in OSX Yosemite, I found it was FileVault being turned on was my problem, you can check this as follows:
- Disk Utility
- Click on Macintosh HD (The indented one)
- In the Properties you will find Format : Encrypted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) .
To repair is a simple case of switching off FileVault in System Preferences/Security and Privacy/FileVault(Tab). You will need to click the padlock to make changes, then you will be able to turn off File Vault.
I found this was paused and had no way to resume it so a fresh install of OSX was my friend and this time round I made sure FileVault wasn't turned on.

Problem while creating the Partner Address in CRM

Hi,
   We are facing one problem while creating the new address for the Business Partner.
   When ever customer wants to change the address : we are following one process : where we are
   using 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD' functin module. Becuse of this , new addrss number will be generated for the
corresponding account in BUT021_FS table.But this table contains old address number as a first record, so that when ever
we display the partner address in UI, it is displaying the old address only because first entry of the the table 'BUT021_FS'
contains the old address number.
Because of this , we are getting lots of complaints regarding this.
Can you please help on this ASAP.

Try BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE for address change followed by BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT . It works.

Partitioning the tables

i have a table that logs an actigtivity
it has activity date time
its a very large table...which i havnt partitioned.
because i havnt got the archiving requirements.
my questions is .. should i blindly create a monthly partition based on date key or should i wait for the archiving requirements?
what is the criteria to partition the table?
is it the amount of data ... or the archiving strategy. which one of these two should i take as the deciding factor to create partitions

my problem is that
i have two tables A and B
A has a column called activity date time and B is the child table for A.
i did not create partitions on both the tables because... i did not know the online data requirement.
now for a code move people are complaining that i did not create monthly partitions before...
my quesitioon is that...
shouldnt we wait for the online data requirement to come then think of partitioning the table?
or rather than waiting
should we blindly create the monthly partitions on activity date time?

Problem while running the scheduled jobs?

Hi any body know the reasons for this?
1) one job got cancelled with error "ABAP/4 processor: SPOOL_INVALID_JOB,
log:
"The current ABAP program had to be terminated because the ABAP processor detected an internal system error.
The current ABAP program "RSPPFPROCESS" had to be terminated because the ABAP processor discovered an invalid system state."
2) second job got cancelled with error "system exception ERROR_MESSAGE UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION CX_OS_DB_UPDATE seems there is some problem in updating the table PPFSTRIGG". but PPFSTRIGG is not table it is structure.
when next execution of these jobs there r working fine.

Problem While saving the Invoice

Dear Experts,
                  I am facing the Problem while Saving the Invoice, In invoice, We assigne the Output as RD00 and Medium as 6 (EDI).
When we are saving the Invoice, it getting as ' Updated Terminated'. When i found where the Error is coming in SM13, it showing in as Function Module "RV_MESSAGE_UPDATE' & Error Details is 'EAN11 not found for Material'.
                 But in Invoice whatever we enter the Material number, we maintain the EAN11 code. This EAN11 code is seen in MARM & VBRP Table. Unable to find the what the exact error is.
               please help me to sort this issue, Its business complicated.

          Thanks for your valuable Message.... I run as you suggested, but the dispatch time i kept as 1 or 2. because the program RSNAST00 is picking the values only for 1 or 2. so i run manually,, as of now the issue is, in the invoice number, for one material number, the Billed quantity is zero, so the UOM is getting as initial. From those vaues we are picking the EAN11 from maram table.
So, i modify that and run the EDI manually. As of now its working...

Problem while executing the transaction code FMBV (Reconstruct)

We are facing a problem while executing the transaction code FMBV
(Reconstruct Availability Control in Funds Management) in it when we
execute this transaction system only updates the expenditure which is
made before technical upgrade from 4.6c to ECC6 EHP6, against the
Assigned Budget (KBFC budget type) in the Annual Budget Table (BPJA)
and
the expenditure which we made after the upgrade, the program just
ignore
it. We can also see the expenditure in the standard FBL3N report.
Please guide us.

In your description, you refer to missing update after an upgrade. First of all, see if table FMIT is consistent, as it is the basis for calculating the assigned values during AVC reconstruction.
Refer to this note:
977016 FMIT: Missing totals records in Funds Management And perform following steps:
1.- Run program RGZZGLUX
2.- Run program RFFMRC04 to match totals table with line items. A test run after a successful effective run should not find inconsistencies.
3.- If RFFMRC04 does not show more inconsistencies, run FMBV as final step.
Note that this reconstruction must be done without any other budgeting/posting activities at the same time, otherwise you may cause other inconsistencies.
Please let me know the results.

Symptom
After the upgrade to ERP 2004 or higher you realize that the FMIT totals table is no longer updated in Funds Management. You start the RFFMRC04 report to reconstruct the totals, but the report still displays the missing totals after an update run.
Other Terms
FMIT, EA-PS, ECC 5.00, ECC 6.00, ECC 7.00
Reason and Prerequisites
This problem occurs due to a generation error.
Solution
Start the RGZZGLUX report to generate missing source code in FI-SL. Then start the RFFMRC04 report to reconstruct the totals, now another run of the report should no longer display any errors.

Problem while executing the package

Hi Guys,
I am getting the problem while executin the package for 1 of the interface named PRE_SYNC_EX_ARMY_VEH_DEL.
The source tables are EX_ARMY_VEH_TMP and CONTROL_DEL & target table is CONTROL_DEL
All the three tables are in the same schema named RTO_STAGE.
I am looking in the operator as at the first session is in the process(running mode) with "DROP FLOW TABLE" as the message while all other sessions are in the waiting mode related to that interface PRE_SYNC_EX_ARMY_VEH_DEL.The previous interface before it ie PRE_SYNC_AXLE_DEL & PRE_SYNC_AXLE_DELNR is running okk(with all succesful session).
**In one statement I can summerize that execution of package is halting/stopped at one interface & not showing error in operator(showing running)**
what would be the problem?

Hi,
You didn't mention the exact error.
Did you check if your interface succeeds outside the Package?
If yes, have you included any odiFileWait event which's why other tasks are kept in Wait mode?
In any case, if there's an error, the task with the red-colored icon shows the one with problem. Double-click it & go to the Execution tab to get the exact error

To download such characteres you need to adjust code page to be used during export. You can review SAP note 73606 to identify which code page is required for this language
