Problem whit jdbc adapter

hello,
a very big problem.
I configured in my PI 7.1 installation a JDBC - PI - rfc interface.
When i active the jdbc comunication channel , all cpu saturated and j2ee crash.
I try to restart java stack but is not possible
I think the problem is on jdbc adapter but i cannot stop it if java part is down.
There are solution for stop or delete this comunication channell from abap stack?
does someone already had a similar problem that jdbc adapter generate a crash of system?
thanks

Are you using a JDBC-ODBC bridge type driver, I am not sure if this is supported by JDBC adapter.....
If it is not try this,
Driver: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
Connection: jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://SQLHOSTNAME:PORT;DatabaseName=DBNAME;SelectMethod=cursor

    Bye,
    Romit Shankar Arun.

    Hi,
    Does your other SDN post "Inserting data through JDBC adapter" refer to the same problem?
    I assume you use XMLSPY for creating XSDs.
    I used the XSD posted by you in the other forum thread and tried to generate the XML structure and it does not seem to generate the XML structure in the format required by the JDBC adapter.
    sample file generated from your XSD posted in the other forum thread:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <resultset xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="C:\Untitled1.xsd">

  • Problem in JDBC Adapter in SAP PI 7.0

    Hi Everyone,
    I have scenario JDBC to JDBC......I Designed and Configured the Scenario....When I executed the scenario my connection to the
    PI dev server is lost........
    Then in Config tool I setting jdbc adapter option to "manual" which is "always".....and deactivated the JDBC communication

    Hi,
    I explain you my scenario once again...................i.e JDBC to JDBC......
    I am using MS-Access as database............
    I have completed IR part and in ID part I configured Sender Communication channel by giving the  following Connection details
    sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
    jdbc:odbc:Driver= {Microsoft Access Driver (.mdb)};DBQ=C:\XI_FILES\SENDER\Student_Database.mdb*
    After completing RD/ID/SA/RA....as soon as I activated CC.....there gone connection to Server and cannot open the IR or ID or
    Runtime Work Bench.......
    If I enter SXMB_IFR in Dev sever...it is giving error "Enterprise Service Repository address not maintained"......
    After that with some discussions with Basis people they have found that J2ee engine stoped. then in Config tool they
    changed jdbc adapter settings to "Manual" so that we can deactive CC that is activated.......Then after that "manual" is
    changed to "Always" and now Server is running fine.....

  • Update statement problem for jdbc adapter

    Hi all
    In the jdbc sender adapter, I configured as follows:
    Query statement
    select * from pickdiff where tid is null
    Update statement
    delete from pickdiff where tid is null
    I got following error message:
    Database-level error reported by JDBC driver while executing statement 'delete from pickdiff where tid is null'. The JDBC driver returned the following error message: 'java.sql.SQLException: [SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC][SQLServer]Die Unterabfrage gab mehr als einen Wert zurück. Das ist ungültig, wenn die Unterabfrage auf =, !=, <, <= , >, >= folgt oder als Ausdruck verwendet wird.'. For details, contact your database server vendor.
    If I change the Update statement to
    update pickdiff set tid = 'sapxi' where tid is null
    Then everything is ok.
    Doese any one have some idea about this problem?
    Regards
    Hui

    Hi,
    The below statements are from SAP help...
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7e/5df96381ec72468a00815dd80f8b63/frameset.htm
    The UPDATE statement must alter exactly those data records that have been selected by the SELECT statement. You can ensure this is the case by using an identical WHERE clause. (See Processing Parameters, SQL Statement for Query, and SQL Statement for Update below).
    &#9679;      Processing can only be performed correctly when the isolation level for transaction is set to repeatable_read or serializable.
    SQL statement for query: SELECT * FROM table WHERE processed = 0;
    SQL statement for update: UPDATE table SET processed = 1 WHERE processed = 0;
    processed is the indicator in the database.
    please see if setting the isolation level would help....Also are you getting this error always or is it intermitent ?
    Thanks,
    Renjith

  • Problem with XML SQL  JDBC adapter

    Hello All.
    I have quite strange problem with my PI.
    Whole scenario is SOAP -> JDBC, asynchronous. Everything works fine on DEV server. After transporting objects (using CTS) to QA env I'm getting this error:

    Hi,
    i was also facing the same error few days back in a JDBC -RFC-JDBC Synchronous scenario. In that scenario, i was using 2 modules in JDBC sender module tab. It was working fine. later i change polling interval and then i started getting same error. it happened coz of sequence of Module got changed somehow.
    So please check in Receiver JDBC adapter and SOAP sender adapter CC  if anything is changed. If this scenario is working in DEV as it is then it should work after transport.
    Else have a look here

  • Problem with Polling interval at sender side in JDBC adapter

    Hello,
    I have some problem in investigating one serious issue using this polling interval,
    I am using the sender JDBC adapter where i used polling interval as
    60(in secs) and 1(in Msecs).
    So it comes upto 60.001 secs of polling interval.
    There are nearly lots of threads which are in sleeping state on one particular sender channel making the J2EE hang. When i went to look inside the CPA cache i saw that the polling interval was mentioned as only 1Msec rather than 60.001 Secs because of which with in some seconds all the threads are blocked and J2EE hangs due to lack of threads.
    Can you please provide some solution to this problem as soon as possible?
    Here are few questions which i got when i am doing this process,
    1. Is that the polling interval is sum of 60(secs) and 1(msec)?
    2. Which value is been read either secs or msecs?
    3. Will there be any precedence among those two values(secs and msecs)?
    THanks,
    Soorya

    Poll Interval (secs)
    Number of seconds that the adapter must wait if no files are found for processing.
    &#9679;      Poll Interval (msecs)
    Additional waiting time in milliseconds.
    If you set Poll Interval (secs) to null, processing times will be short and close to real time.
    If you set Poll Interval (secs) and Poll Interval (msecs) to null, the adapter is only called once.
    &#9679;      Retry Interval (secs)
    Specify the number of seconds that the adapter is to wait before a file processed with errors is processed again.
    If the value is set to null, then the adapter is canceled if an error occurs, even if a value greater than null is specified for Poll Interval (secs).

    </ns5:DB2File_DB_MT>
    How does this tag ... <ns5:DB2File_DB_MT xmlns:ns5="urn:db2file">  get generated in runtime
    and apart from 1 to 1 mappings b/w the three fields above in the row tag...wt other mappings to be performed
    Pls help...
    Sunita

    Hi Sunita,
    what i understood from your query is namespace tag is coming while message mapping. This namespace can be avoided in the message type if you keep the XML namespace field empty while creating message type. But i afraid you have to do the message mapping again.

    Check JDBC FAQ note 831162
    7. Network-Level Connection Problems
    Q: The TCP/IP connection to my database host is running over an unreliable network connection, i.e. the connection is sometimes interrupted. Consequently, I sporadically receive an SQLException regarding a closed connection in the system trace or audit log or the connection as well as the JDBC Adapter channel are hanging.
    How can I work around this connectivity issue?
    A: Enable the "Advanced Mode" for the respective JDBC Adapter channel and select the option "Disconnect from Database After Processing each Message".
    Note that this might put additional load on your DBMS due to the creation of a new database connection for each message.
    If you are connecting to an Oracle database, also refer to question #10 for an alternative solution.

    Hi,
    To access any database fromm XI, using the JDBC adapter, the corresponding drivers have to be installed on the XI server.
    Just check this note 831162.
    Also, check this PDF to install Drivers in XI,

  • Problem with a JDBC Adapter when connect to Instance on SQL Server

    Hi,
    Currently I'm setting up a communication channel with the JDBC adapter to work on a SQL Server database. When I use a string without specifying the connection instance, the JDBC driver takes the default instance and connects to a database without problems.
    jdbc: sqlserver: / / Server01; databaseName = IntegraSAP1
    The problem is when I need to connect to another instance of it server.
    jdbc: sqlserver: / / Server01; instanceName = SAP; databaseName = IntegraSAP2
    The JDBC driver, in short, send me the following error:
    Cause Exception: 'Error when attempting
    to get processing resources: com.sap.aii.af.lib.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException:
    Unable to create new pooled resource: DriverManagerException:
    Can not establish connection:: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException:
    The connection to the named instance  has failed. Error:
    java.net.UnknownHostException: .
    I appreciate your help,
    Regards,
    Johnny

    Not sure, might be port number is not required in case using instance. Give one more try with :
    jdbc:sqlserver:/ /Server01\SAP; databaseName = IntegraSAP2
    A comment from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms378428.aspx
    "SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 allow for the installation of multiple database instances per server. Each instance is identified by a specific name. To connect to a named instance of SQL Server, you can either specify the port number of the named instance (preferred), or you can specify the instance name as a JDBC URL property or a datasource property."

  • Problem in Receiver JDBC Adapter

    Hello Gurus,
    I am trying SAP -> Oracle Database Scenario.
    Where i am passing Id and Email address into the Oracle.
    In Runtime workbench, Receiver JDBC adapter Channel, i am able to see that message is in Success.
    But if i am going into the Database and looking for that Record, it is not updating that record.
    I am not able to understand what is happening.
    Please help me out in this issue.
    Thanks,
    Akhil

    HI Akhil,
    I know you might have verified alll datat hat will be passing to JDBC...but may I kindly request you to confirm about the table name that was passed in the Mapping once again.
    While inserting or Updating are you using all the Key fields..that will allow you to create the unique entry..as if in case if the record is already exists then there may be problem of Indexing...of adding duplicate entry...and due to partial key fields Update statement will not work properly..
    Also verify the ORACLE  Database log...to get anymore details.
    Thanks
    Swarup

  • Problem in inbound JDBC Adapter

    My scenario is like sending data from SAP to database through JDBC adapter.
    but when i tried to excute my program it is giving follwing message:
    Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc.  java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (STSC.UDT_PRICELOCZONE_CPK) violated
    i am sure there is no duplicate records.
    can anyone tell me what the problem?

    Hi Suresh,
    that message is defintly from your database. Try to execute your stored procedure in debug mode with just the same parameters as in your XML message.

  • JDBC adapter , problem in inserting Korean Charaters in MS SQL

    Hi ,
    We are facing a problem when we are inserting "Koren Charaters" in DB of type MS SQL using JDBC adapter.
    What we tryed is:
    We found that there is a problem in Code Page Conversion.  We tried adding a Modules in Receiver Adapter of type JDBC.
    Processing Sequence:
    AF_Modules/XMLAnonymizer--Bean Local Enterprise Bean 1
    AF_Modules/TextCodepageConversionBean-Bean Local Enterprise Bean-- 2
    CallSapAdapter----
    Local Enterprise Bean     -- 0
    Module Configuration:
    1 anonymizer.encoding UTF-16
    2 Conversion.charset  UTF-16.
    But we are getting the error in CC as:
    "Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: ERROR occured parsing request:com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.NestedSAXParserException: Fatal Error: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XMLParser: No data allowed here: (hex) feff, 3c, feff(:main:, row:2, col:6)(:main:, row=2, col=6) -> com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XMLParser: No data allowed here: (hex) feff, 3c, feff(:main:, row:2, col:6)"
    also should I have to check any patches related to JDBC driver from MS SQL which supports korean Code Page?
    Any one who had face this problem pls give us inputs:
    Thanks
    Shankar

    Hi
    In the XML sent to the channel you will have to use a special quoting
    for any Unicode strings, which the JDBC Adapter will not produce on its
    own. Instead, you need to add an attribute 'hasQuot="no"' to those
    elements (most likely in the mapping where you produce the XML) and
    explicitly enclose the data in single quotes prefixed with the letter N.
    For clarity, one example:
    If your original "INSERT" operation looks like this:
    <StatementName2>
    <dbTableName action="INSERT">
    <table>realDbTableName</table>
    <access>
    <col1>val1</col1>
    <col2>val2</col2>
    </access>
    </dbTableName>
    </StatementName2>
    and "col1" contains Unicode data, change the document as follows:
    <StatementName2>
    <dbTableName action="INSERT">
    <table>realDbTableName</table>
    <access>
    <col1 hasQuot="no">N'val1'</col1>
    <col2>val2</col2>
    </access>
    </dbTableName>
    </StatementName2>

  • Sapdb (maxdb) and jdbc adapter problem

    Hi,
    i have installed this jdbc file:
    http://sapdb.org/7.4/sap_db_jdbc.htm
    like in this how-to:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/xi/xi-how-to-guides/how to install and configure external drivers for jdbc and jms adapters.pdf
    then i set up an jdbc to file szenario to test the adapter.
    Driver is: com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.DriverSapDB
    connection is: jdbc:sapdb://sapdb-host/XI_DATA
    with sapdb-host is the db server and XI_DATA ist the database
    user and pw is dba
    sql statement is: SELECT * FROM "AAA_XI_DATA" WHERE "number" = 50
    with AAA_XI_DATA is the table with test data.
    the statment works in the sapdb studio. (No ; in sapdb and the XI)
    but when i have a look at the runtime monitor at the af
    messages there is no message genereated. where can i
    check, if the jdbc driver is working and where do i find
    error messages?
    Regards
    J.

    You can check if there is some kind of error with the JDBC Adapter in the Runtime Workbench. Inside the RWB, open "Component Monitoring", "tree view", "Adapter Monitoring", and in the adapter listing you'll find the "JDBC Adapter". It should have a green light. If not, the error will be displayed.
