Problem with a smartform

Hi, I would like to show on a invoice form an issuer name. I have defined in global definitions variable called "gv_name_text". In program lines of SIGN_CREATOR Signs I have putted value of sy-uname into my variable. I've placed my variable in SIGN_CREATOR,but nothing appears on the form when I'm testing it.What could be the problem?

Hi,
I'm beginner with smartforms.How can I do that.I right clicked on SIGN_CREATOR->Create->Flow Logic->Program lines. Is that correct?

my smartform is composed as follows:
Page 1
Main
     Loop
        Table 1
        Table 2
        Table n
Each table consists of a frame.
The problem is that when the smartform go to the next page, I can not handle frames.
Part of frame is displayed on the first page, the other party to the second page.
I tried to put the flag protection page on the tables, but the frame has not been successful.
I hope someone help me.

Problem with standar smartform ( Program RLE_DELNOTE)

Hello everybody.
I´ve made a smartforms for a deliveries. I use the standard program called RLE_DELNOTE. The problem is that the structure IS_DLV_DELNOTE in the smartform is not correctly informed and I just can get the header data and items data are missing.
Could anybody help me??? I´ve read something similar but I couldnt get the solution... If somebody know some sap note I´ll be very happy too!!
PD: Im Spanish and my English is not very good!! Sorry!!

You cannot print the order item number for the delivery item using the RLE_DELNOTE print program for printing the delivery note if you start the print or the print preview in Transactions VL02N or VL03N.

Problem with PO smartform display

Hi All,
I've developed a Purchase Order Template using Smartform. In NACE I've assignd the smartform name for a new output type. Smartform isworking properly.
But while executing ME21n transaction I'm not getting my smartform template. In TNAPR table also I'm not able to find my Smartform name for its output type.
Can any one tell me the reason? And how to rectify this problem?

I am almost a total computer novice and am having what I think is the same problem Just got my first Apple computer (Macbook Pro). MSN Hotmail is my email account. All the events on my 'hotmail' account are now unreadble because they are squished to the left side of the screen and I don't find any instructions as to how to fix this in the system. This problem didn't exist when I first started using my MAC two days ago, but now I'm stuck. Everything else in my 'hotmail' seems to work fine. Don't know what Chrome or Firefox is or if there is a cost for them. Also, have never downloaded a program if any kind.
My calendar is critically important to me and I don't have a clue as to what to do now. Hope you can help.

Problem with dynamic smartform

Hello !
I have a requirement to create a smartform, which i have 2 tables. One is inside the main window and is working fine.
The other window is in a different place of the page, and i have to make this second window to act like it is a "second" main window.
For example, the second table can show up to 6 lines, if theres more than 6 lines then i have to call a new page showing the rest of the lines.
I tried using flow logic plus command to open a new page, but smartform only let us call new pages inside main windows..
If anyone has the solution, or a tip to where i can aim to, will be a great help !

Because in ECC 6.0 u have a option for creating 2 table that is 2 main windows. But in ECC 4.7 u can' t.

Problem with Print of Smartforms

Hi Experts,
I am facing problem with the Smartforms related to purchase order and Request for Quotation.
when i see the print preview of these two forms the preview was coming correctly. But when i give the print the data in the footer was Truncted. I changed thepage from Letter to A4. Even then also i am facing the issue.
So can any one tell me where would be th problem.

there is no big issue in this just you have to
check the window at footer in which window(output option )
tick must be there at lines with
and always draw boxes and shading.
tamplet paramets must match to the window.
do this if still problem is there keep in touch
and send me the error of output.

Problem with subtotals on Smartform. SRM 5.0

Hello,
Iam facing one serious problem with one smartform on SRM 5.0.
Using the automatic "calculation" of one table in main window i have set the subtotal calculation. This calculation is not working because the form is getting always the item from the next page on pagebreack moment...
How could i control this bug from sap?

The reason for this is the the systematic of the form interpreter on how to check if a page break has been done.
Items and other stuff get printed in MAIN window.
So e.G. you have 4 items while 3 fit on one page. so he prints 3 items, all is fine, no page break detected so he continues with MAIN window printing.
Now he prints item 4 and WHILE printing it he detects that there is not enough space on the page to print it. Page break gets triggered, but item 4 has already been in process and so values of item 4 are added.
I never ran into this problem with the auto subtotal calculation of smartforms and i really wonder that this makes problems in Standard as well.
I suspect you can find a SAP-note on this subject, since this is the standard having issues, and i guess they are solved by now.

Problem printing a smartform!

Hi Everybody!
I have a problem with my smartform! In the main window I have a dinamic table, the problem is when the table is full the rest of the data don't go to another page, How can I make another page? I'm doing this with the transaction smartform and I don't know If I need a new page...and if I need, how can I make this and how can I put the same things that in the first?
Moreover, I need to put one field only in the last page...How can I control this?

Hello to everybody and thanks for answer my doubt!
I've done the second page but the problem is still there, In main window in page first I've two tables, and three templates, is something like this:
Concepto | Mensual | Atrasos | Reintegro | Total |

This is an example of my table, the structure is: The first line (concepto, mensual...) is a template because this is always the same, the second line is also a line, the third is a table because this is the changing thing, in this table I can have as minimum one field and for maximum 8 fields, but the problem is when I have for example 10 fields, the table cut the fields and only show the first 8.
The fourth line is also a template because this is always the same, the fifth line (muface..) is a table and has the same conditions to the other line and the last one (liquido a percibir) is a template that I only have to show when the table third and fifht are full...
Is this way to make my main window correct? How can I make this?

Problem with table line (footer) in smartform

Hey guys and gals !!!
I have got this problem with the footer line in my smartform.I have checked the <i>no pagebreak</i> option for this line but still some contents are getting truncated instead of being shown totally on one page.
The line has two cells.The first cell has 4 text nodes and the second cell has 1 text node.
I am able to see just the text from the 1st text nodes while the others are getting truncated.
Please suggest a solution.Your help will be greatly appreciated.

The problem is not clearly explained.
However, I assume that you have a footer which is NOT a part of MAIN Window and a table has been defined and only the contents of the First TEXT node is getting printed while others are getting truncated.
If my understanding is right,
1. It is getting truncated because the text is more than the size of the window that has been defined.
2. I suggest you, if the contents (size) of the footer varies from output to output, then better to shift the footer to the MAIN Window so that you will see the complete text.

Problem with printing in SMARTFORM

I have a problem with a printout. I wrote form in SMARTFORM.
There is a HP LJ2420 printer in our local network. This printer is my local printer (LP1) and it is defined in SAP (for example S005). When I print this form on LP1 printout is ok. If I print this form on S005 the same printer prints black belts.
When I save this printout in .pdf or .html file , there are no black belts.

This is related to printer settings. Nothinh to doas far as coding is concerned. Just check the printer settings in SPAD transaction. You can contact your basis team or your superior.

Problem with a display in SMARTFORMS

I have a problem concerning a smartform.
My actual table looks like this :

etc.
And I need to display the table like that (in vertical) :

DATA 9
DATA 10
Does anybody know how to do that (if this is possible) ?

suppose the table is itab with columns A and B,
so ur data is like wa-A and wa-B.
now use a table node to loop at itab into wa.
now create two rows with line type having single column.
loop
ROW1 -
print wa-A
ROW2
print wa-B.
endloop.
this way u'll get ur data vertically

Smartform: Formatting Problem with QUAN-Field

I want to print a smartform and get exception 1 (formatting error). With function SSF_READ_ERRORS I get an error table. There is on entry: errnumber = 020011, msgid = SSFCOMPOSER, msgty = E, msgno = 601, msgv1 = wa_outtab-menge.
It seems to be a formatting problem with field WA_OUTTAB-MENGE. But in the structure this field is referenced correctly.
Does anybody know a solution?

I solve this kind of problem in my SmartForm.
Try this:
Go to "Global Definitions" Node, then "Current/Quant.Fields" tab and set these values:
Field Name: WA_OUTTAB-MENGE
Reference Field: WA_OUTTAB-MEINS
Data Type: QUAN

Smartform problem with FS [short dump]

Hi Abapers,
Am using <FS> in my smartform
it is using as Work area.
Bcoz my line item data Containing Amount and Quantity fields.
so when am not using <FS> i.e., if am declaring WA like <struc>
then its giving error message like Quantity does not exist.
when for is printing.
so thats why am using <FS> as my Work area.
when am looping my table data into <FS>.
for my main window table.
so when ever am having no line item data with respect to my Selection screen.
Then my line item internal table is empty in my driver program.
so when it comming to smartform <FS> is empty
then my form is going to Shortdump.
so how can i over come that it should not go to shortdump
even my line item data is not having records.
Pls give me any solution .....!

But ,

Smartform - problem with main window

Hi all,
I have following windows in my smartform first page.
First Page
-> secondary window 1
-> secondary window 2
-> main window
       1 template1
       2 template2
       3 command node
-> secondary window 3
I have the same windows in my next page. I am using the command node in main window for some specific condition to implement page break to next page. I am getting the next page with all the contents from the secondary windows but for some reason the main window in second page is not diplayed.
Please help me. Waiting....

Hi Raju,
One possible solution can be... first fix number of rows in a page. Then in the INITILIZATION use DESCRIBE command on your internal table. Then divide the number of lines by the number of line you have already fixed to be printed on a page. This will give the number of pages.
Now what you can do is... in your first page take a table node. In that create a table line with 13 columns and place the first 13 columns in that.
Then take a ALTERNATIVE node with condition sy-page = the number of pages which you have already calculated.
For this ALTERNATIVE node in the TRUE node take a COMMAND NODE with NEXT_PAGE(second page) in GO-TO-NEW-PAGE field.
And in the FALSE node take another COMMAND NODE with FIRST_PAGE(current page) in the GO-TO-NEW-PAGE field.
Untill unless you will reach the last page(which we have calculated) this condition will become false and hence the COMMAND NODE in the FALSE node will trigger and the current page will be triggered. This completes the printing of 13 columns for all your internal table rows.
Now in the NEXT_PAGE(second page) take another TABLE node and again create a new table line with the next 13 columns(14 to 26). And assign NEXT_PAGE in the Next Page field of this page(next page... hope you are not confused ). This will print the remaininig 13 lines.
But the problem with this solution is that the user has to sort the pages after getting the printouts and also the number of rows that will be printed are fixed on a page.

WHERE clause in a SMARTFORM loop, problems with parenthesis

Hi all gurus,
a simple question: I'm coding a LOOP in the form builder for a smartform ... this simple loop should bind text elements to every position of a purchase order. The WHERE clause should be as follows:
WHERE GUID = WA_ITEM-GUID
AND ( TDID EQ 'ZDES' OR TDID EQ 'ZDST' ).
Anyway, in the Form Builder I didn't find a way to add parenthesis; I workarounded the problem with the following query:
(conditions in lines are in AND conjunction)
GUID EQ     WA_ITEM-GUID
TDID      EQ   'ZDES'
OR
GUID EQ     WA_ITEM-GUID
TDID      EQ 'ZDST'.
It's quite a 'bad' way, but it works. I wonder if there's a way to express "complex" WHERE clauses (with addiction of parenthesis) in Form Builder.

In this case, your solution is the one that works. However in more complex cases with more variables, this can proove difficult to make or mantain.
What I usually do is use the first part of the condition in the where and then add a condition to the printing area with the rest of the formula. Just remember to document this so that you'll find it easy and it's way more amintainable.
In this case the loop would contain WHERE GUID = WA_ITEM-GUID and the inside condition TDID EQ 'ZDES' OR TDID EQ 'ZDST. This creates the and between the two blocks.
