Problem with credit memo and withholding tax

Please, I need your help:
I have tried   pay some invoice,  each one does not exceed the minimum amount for Withholding Tax ,  but the adding of them exceed the Max Amounts for Withholding Tax Codes. For this I am using   u201CBase exempt amt check at pymt doc level u201C and It works, the problem is when I have a credit memo the system does not work well subtracting withholding tax

    Yes. If both the credit memo & the invoice use the same pricing procedure, then they can be copied from the invoice.
    But there is no direct copy from the invoice to the credit memo.
    Credit memo is a billing doc type which is raised either against a returns order or against an invoice correction request.
    So if you wish to copy the pricing, then you will need to maintain copy controls from invoice to returns order / invoice correction req 1st, then from returns / invoice correction request to credit memo.
    So checkif your company is using the same pricing for invoice & returns. Then maintain F2 to RE order in VTAF 1st, then from RE order to CR in VTFA.
    In that case at item level pricing, you will have to choose the option G or D. Option B cary new pricing is used when the docs have different pricing procedure.

  • Problem with a vendor in Withholding tax.

    Dear Friends,
    I'm facing a problem with Vendor # 152230 from company code IN10. This vendor is withholding tax, and as you may know, when a vendor is withholding tax, the system gives a message informing that the vendor is withholding tax.
    With this particular vendor (Vendor # 152230), the system is not informing anything. Could you please check why this happens with this vendor, and others it does not?
    Please help me in solving this issue.

    IMG>>>Financial accounting>>accounts receivable & accounts payable>>>vendor accounts>>>>master data>>>preparation for creating master data>>>define screen layout per activity(vendors)....the new window will open.............you select Change Vendor (centrally) and go for details .double click on the Company code data for checking Field status whether the Withholding Tax field is Suppressed  or not......if not the make Optional and save it.
    Again do the same thing for :IMG>>>Financial accounting>>accounts receivable & accounts payable>>>vendor accounts>>>>master data>>>preparation for creating master data>>>define account group screen layout (vendors)....the new window will open.............double click on the Company code data for checking Field status whether the Withholding Tax field is Suppressed or not......if not the make Optional and save it.
    Now you check the GL field status(t.code OBC4) check whether the Withholding Tax field is Suppressed or not......if not the make Optional and save it.
    I think your problem will be solved.

    two credit  memos are created with same purchase order number on same date but with different sold to party,ship to party,  and materials are also different. can any one explain me on this issue

    It can be possible that 2 credit memo's can be created with a single Purchase order number.
    If you want to restrict this.
    Then in the configuration of VOV8 for your order type maintain A in "CHECK PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER"

    Prerequisites
    For each withholding tax report, note the required Customizing settings for the corresponding output group.
    Activities
    To access the report, from the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Accounting --> Financial Accounting -->Accounts Receivable --> Withholding Tax --> Generic Withholding Tax Reporting.
    The Generic Withholding Tax Report has several options for reporting. 
    The report can be run without the Output Group field populated, or it can be run with one of the PH1 to PH5 options as it relates to the reporting forms/requirements

  • Problem with credit note after excise and tax  paid to govt

    Hi friends,
    Here i have one business scenario from credit note after tax paid to govt. Details are :
    1. I raised one invoice on 01/03/08. And raised excise invoice and updated the registers on that same day.
    2. I paid Excise duty on 15/03/08 to govt.
    3. But customer requested new invoice due to few mistakes     (price/qty) in invoice on 16/03/08.
    4. We used credit memo and settled the difference amount to customer.
    5. Now how to get the excise duty/vat back from govt.
    6. As per rules we can't get it from govt.
    7. But no goods retuns here to carryforward the bed to next month.

    Is it Ecise invoice number or invoice no or delivery no.
    and one more thing what is the A - Certificate in excise invoice.

  • Table for special G/L indicator and withholding tax?

    Hi experts,
    Iu2019m trying to post a vendor invoice on F-02. When I use vendor invoice  posting key the system brings withholding tax automatically but when I use special G/L indicator (incoming credit posting ) withholding tax is not coming.
    Is there any connection between posting key and withholding tax or special G/L indicator? Where should I correct this error?

    Dear,
    You can check out relationship between posting key and  wht by checking Field status group of posting key in OB41. Now comming to the problem with your special GL indicator with no WHT posting, you need to check FSG of Special Gl indictator in OBYR and special GL in OBC4. Look if its suppressed there.

  • Cancellation of Goods Receipt with Credit Memo Transaction Issue

    Dear SAP Expert and Guru,
    Normally cancellation of goods receipt cannot be done when invoice has been issued. Cancellation of Goods receipt can only be done when there is the credit memo being issued in MIRO.
    The problem now is that is there any table that can tracked the linkage between Credit Memo and the Cancellation of Goods receipt?
    The goods receipt with the invoice linkage can be found in both table EKBE and BKPF. But not the credit memo and cancellation of Goods receipt.

    You are correct, but with the document number, how am I going to get the Cancellation of GR document?
    In table BKPF and EKBE. With the invoice number (34*******) then pass it to table BKPF to get the invoice number (52*******),
    Then get the invoice number (52*******) pass it to table EKBE to get the Goods Receipt document (61*******).
    However, this only can track the transaction goods receipt and Invoice but not the credit memo with cancellation of goods receipt.
    Kindly asvise on that.

  • Header Billing Plan - credit memo and debit memo

    Folks,
    I have the following scenario here.
    I have a billing plan order (BP) - with header billing plan.
    I have three lines in the billing plan
    1) $5000 ...FAZ (Billing Request)
    2) $10000...L2 (Debit Memo)
    3) $3000...G2 (Credit Memo).
    Once i go to VF04,
    I have all three billing due. However, only billing type FAZ has the header conditions (PR00, AZWR, TAXES) populated and net value $5000. (Populated against AZWR)
    Both L2 and G2 have no header conditions populated and the net value is 0.
    The copy control is set up the same for all and all have same document pricing procedure (A).
    Is it something basic I'm missing or is there anything else I have to do?
    Or pls let me know the process for debit memo / credit memo with a billing plan.
    Pls respond ASAP as we have the Proof of Concept scheduled sooner.

      I think that basys of this process is not correct: the purpose of billing plan is to define different invoicing schedules, typically for businesses working with projects, and on top of that, billing plan is the only standard way to manage advance payment and automatically determine the settlement of the advance payments on final invoices.
    For this, in my opinion it's not correct entering in the billing plan items with Credit Memo or Debit Memo request. You should have only andvance payment items and invoice items (document category = M).
    In a common invoicing process, you can have the following steps:
    - Down payment request (FAZ);
    - Invoice (F1) reduced by the downpayment amount (if that is the case);
    Then you can create a Credit Memo request, against the Invoice, if for some-reason you have to revert back something to the customer; or you can create a Debit Memo request if you have recharge the customer with reference to a document already invoiced. I think that invoice type G2 and D2 should not be "planned" steps in an invoicing process. On top of that, it's not advisable creating Credit Memo requests with reference to an invoice containing downpayment clearing item, as it would lead to incorrect postings into accounting.

    I am bit confused ...on the Linkage of Credit memo and Dispute Case in EHP 4 and EHP5.
    Does the following statement is valid in EHP4 or EHP5.
    "You can add a credit to a dispute to close it or reduce the amount disputed."
    If it is possible in EHP 5 or EHP 4, please let me know what is the procedure to follow?
    If i need to activate anything in SFW5, please provide what is the Business function i need to activate.

    Linking a credit note has nothing to do with EHP4 or 5. You have to do a config sertting:
    Dispute Management-Process Integration with Accounts Receivable Accounting-Assignment of Open Credits and Payments-Activate Assignment of Open Credits and Payments
    And make sure the business adapts the correct process:  When you reverse a charge on a debit invoice you have to make sure the credit is properly linked to the debit note.
    If this is the case then the credit will show up in the dispute case.

  • Problems with Customer Service AND unexplained charges!

    I've been with Verizon for I-don't-know-how-many years, and through the years you are bound to have a few problems here and there but some of the problems are just ridiculous! It's also the same reocurring problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was with Alltel first, before it was bought out by Verizon. The years I was with Alltel, I didn't have near as many problems. It seems EVERY time I do the smallest change or something to my phone or bill, I get a ridiculous amount of charges that I was NOT aware of, nor told about... EVEN IF I ask "So this isn't going to change my bill, or there will not be any unexpected/unexplained charges that I don't know about?"... BUT not matter how many times I ask... and NO matter how many times I am told "no"... there always is. For example.... last year, I updated and signed a new 2 year contract and purchased the first Driod. Before, my 30 day warranty was up, I was having problems with my Driod, and decided to send it in and get a new one. Before I did this.. I called customer service to make sure there would be no interuption in my bill, and there wouldn't be any unexpect charges, and there would be no difference in anything. I was told there was not, and once I recieved my new phone, just send it in and nothing would be changed. Of course, when I get my bill.. I see I was charged $500 for the new phone. It was explained to me that my credit card was reimbursed (which I never check that card, because I never used it expect to purchase the phone) and that I was recharged for the new phone, since it was a new phone. So I had to fork out the $500 (on top of my bill) and then wait months to get the $100 rebate card. Months after that, I "assumed liablity of my line" because I was on a plan with my family. I decided to have my own line, so I "assumed liability." I was not told that when I did that, I "renewed" my contract date. So I just added 6 more months to my 2 year contract. Was NOT told about that! Then again...... I was recently having problems with my Driod (the screen went black and would not come back on.) I had to turn on an OLD motorola razor, so I would not be without a phone for two days while I was waiting on my phone to come in. As soon as my phone came in, I had my Droid turned back on. I recieved my bill recently, and my bill was $200 over what it normally should be.... so I called in... apparently, when I had my phone replaced, they dropped off my data package and when I recieved my replacement driod, they never put it back on. So I was being charged for alllll my data usage... again I was NOT told about this. I wasn't even aware that they had dropped off my data package, and when/where did they get the authority to do that??? These are just a FEW of the problems that I have had.................................
    Does anyone have these reoccuring problems!?

    I understand that my bill can be viewed online, and I do view it fairly regularly, so if there are any unexplained charges, I can call Verizon asap. The problem does not come from me not understanding my bill, but from customer service. I have been with Verizon for a very long time, and it is a continuing problem. Where did Verizon get the 'OK' to drop my data package off my plan? Who authorized that?
    After calling Verizon and trying to find out the problem, the gentleman told me that when I activated on old phone while I was waiting on my new Droid to arrive, my data package was dropped off and I "should" have been told about that. When I reactiviated my new Droid, I "should" have called and had them restart my data package. I was not aware that when you activate an old phone that data plan is taken off your plan. In all my years of having cell phones, I never make two years with one phone. I have always, at one point, had to turn on an old phone, and my data package has NEVER changed. Why would I have my data package dropped and why would I have to call Verizon to have it restarted. I would never know to do that unless I was TOLD that my data packaged HAD to be re-added when I recieved my new phone, but I was never told of that.
    All of that is beside the point, the point is, Verizon was never given the authorization to change my plan. Never. My bill was taken care of and readjusted, and I am thankful for that. It does not change the fact it is always a hassle with Verizon Customer Service and I am always the one having to PROVE that I am not at fault, or that I was NEVER told of certian things. EVERY TIME I HAVE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, I AM TOLD "I'M SORRY, THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT."
    "they should" does not help my bill with the extra armount of charges.

  • Credit Memo and A/R Invoice linking

    Please help me, how to find relation field  between Credit Memo and A/R Invoice.
    I delete invoice using credit memo with copy from function.
    But when I view last credit memo, i cant find the corelation with my deleted A/R invoice number.
    I found remarks, but i think remarks is not the link for document.
    I really confuse about this. can anyone help me?
    ps: i cant found the relation return and A/R invoice too..

    Just thought of another trick or two that you might try...
    1.  Open ANY Credit Memo and use the "Find" Icon (the binoculars in the Icon Line) or use "Ctrl+F" to put the credit memo window in find mode.  Put an asterisk in the field where the credit memo number usually is and hit enter...
    It should pop up a list of all credit memos with Remarks - look to see if your credit memo is there.  Or you can sort the whole screen by double clicking on the "Due Date" column of the display. 
    You can view an individual credit memo by highlighting the line (making it yellow) and pressing Enter Key to check that out also...
    2. If that does not work for you, you can always use the SQL route where the OINV.DocEntry = RIN1.DocEntry and get a list that way where you can look through it.
    OINV = Invoice Headers and RIN1 = Credit Memo Lines

  • Issue related to the Credit memo and S.O.

    I have one issue related to the Credit memo and S.O.
    We have a network of Dealers and Dealer inventory is linked with our system. When user creates S.O for Dealer1.If the item is not avail in our inventory and it is avail in any other Dealer inventory (Dealer2), then the system creates S.O wrt the Dealer2.
    In this case as the material is directly delivered from Dealer1 to Dealer2, there is no any GI in our system.
    So, the transaction with Dealer1 will be the normal as usual. But, we have to return the goods amount to the Dealer2 with any suitable way. We are considering it as a Credit memo.
    My question is, as we have created S.O wrt the partner function- Dealer1 and we are creating CR memo for Delaer2, is there any way through which we can link the se two transactions with customizing so that we need not to make any ABAP programming.
    I mean can we create Cr memo wrt S.O when the partner functions are different?
    Pl. guide me.

    You have an interesting Scenario.
    You can handle this scenario in multiple ways
    1. Third party Scenario (Here Dealer 1 becomes Vendor &Dealer 2 remains Customer)
    2. Order related sales & credit memo.
    3. Intercompany sales, where you represent dealers place as a plant in your system. (Not an ideal way to handle the scenario, but possible option)

  • AP Credit Memo and Good return, creates differences between TB and Stock Audit Report

    Did any one has ever faced an issue, whereby AP Credit Memo and Good Return creates discrepancy between journal entry and the stock audit report?
    Here is the scenario:

    The difference is actually due to the moving average, but the strange part is why the difference is not posted in the journal entry, in the Price different account?
    This makes the stock account amount to be different from the Trial Balance and the Stock Audit Report.
    And this is applied also on the Good Return transaction.
    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Price & Item cost are different.
    while making goods return , Direct AP Credit Note, Sales Delivery, Direct AR Invoice, stock is going outside.
    In these transactions Journal entry will happen for Item cost and not Item sales or Purchase price.
    Please enable item cost field in line level and check whether above formulae is matching with Item, cost field.
    Then what is the importance of price in these documents??
    Price is the agreed selling or purchase price for trading with Customer and supplier.
    In your example
    You are returning back material worth 105000(as per moving average price), but supplier is supposed to give only you 102,000.
