Problem with decimal fields using BADI For PD Infotypes
Hi,
I'm implementing BADI HRBAS00INFTY.
For reading the fields of infotype , I'm using the substring
of the field NEW_INNNN-VDATA .
I have a problem with fields of type DEC.
In field NEW_INNNN-VDATA it looks like this : '####'
I believe that the possible reason for this is conversion from DEC to CHAR
But I don't know how to fix it.
Thank you .

Hi Alon,
We had same issue. Use following code.
data: hri1011_str type hri1011.
move new_innnn-vdata to hri1011_str.
HRI1011_STR fields will have decimal values.
Let me know if you still have any issues. If solution works, kindly do Point Recognition.

Problem with street number and city for address infotype
hi
i have posted this question earlier in this form.
we have upgraded our HR system from 4.6c to ECC 5.0.(ours is a MNC)
In the old version(4.6c),when we create an emergency contact(subtype 4)information for a pernr in pa30, the street address(Strat field) and city(Ort01) information was not mandatory.The information used to get saved with out these fields.
But in the upgraded version(ECC 5.0),for the same emergency contact, when we create information for a pernr in pa30,it is asking Street(Strat field) and city(ort01) as mandatory.My requirement is to make these fields unmandatory as the old version.the screen behind this is 2005 for module pool MP000600.
i am facing this problem only with german employees.(for US and other employees it is fine.)i tried working with v_t588m table in sm31 and made STRAT and ORT01 fields as optional (for all screens of 2005).but still,i am facing the same problem.
Can anyone give me a clue of this solution.
thanksHave a look at V_T588MFPROPC and V_T588MFPROBS - especially if you have concurrent employment activated in your backend. Also check OSS with those table names!
Hope that helps,

Problem with number fields using ASP
Hello all,
I am running IIS 5.0 on Windows 2000 SP 2. I have Oracle 8.1.5 installed on this machine. I am currently only using the sample database that with Oracle. When I run a simple select statement from the ASP page, I see everything correctly, except the number fields. In SQL Plus, the same query works fine. The query only has three types of fields --> varchar, date and number. Varchar and date fields show up fine but the number doesnt. It shows up as 0. I am giving the code I used below. Please let me know if I am missing something or if there is a bug that needs to be patched. If it is a bug, then please let me know where I can find the patch for it.
Thanks a lot,
Prateek
<!-- Begin code -->
<html>
<head><title>My first ASP page</title></head>
<body>

Set db = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
db.Open "dsn=oracle_conn;uid=scott;pwd=tiger"
set rs = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.recordset")
//set rs=db.execute("SELECT * FROM emp")
rs.Open "SELECT * FROM emp", db
rs.MoveFirst
response.write("<table border=1>")
response.write("<tr>")
for each x in rs.Fields
response.write "<th>" & x.name & "</th>"
next
response.write("</tr>")
Do While Not rs.EOF
response.write("<tr>")
For I = 0 To rs.Fields.Count - 1
response.write "<td>" & rs(I) & "</td>"
Next
response.write("</tr>")
rs.MoveNext
LOOP
response.write "</table>"
rs.Close
db.Close
%>
</body>
</html>
<!-- End code -->Hi all:
It seems like the above mentioned case is a bug. Supposedly it has been fixed in newer versions of Oracle but I am not sure about it as I dont have the time or resources to test and find out. But here is the fix for it in 8.1.5.
It seems only the fields that have a size defined along with the number field dont show up properly. If you leave the number field as it is (without specifying the size), then it seems to work fine.
Thanks a lot for all your help,

Hello al!
I created a website with iWeb but use GoDady for hosting it rather than MobileMe. The images on my Gallery page do not show at all on the external domain but they DO show when seen on MobileMe. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Many thanks!Just create a new page (or use the existing photo page) on your external site and use html to add an iframe sized to the page and link it to the mobilme gallery page. Works for me just fine when showing my gallery from a yahoo site.
like this
<iframe scrolling="off" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="yes" style="width:100%;height:100%;border:none" src="http://gallery.me.com/your_account_name"></iframe> -
Sun Studio Compilers for Linux: Problems with undefined variables using CC
I am experiencing the following errors below while trying to compile C++ programs using Sun C++ from the latest release of Sun Studio Compilers for Linux Alpha, on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 with kernel 2.6.9-34.EL and Ubuntu Breezy Badger 5.10 with kernel 2.6.12-10-686. I get the same exact errors on both OS's and on two different machines.

Except on ubuntu, it has one more error
"/usr/include/wctype.h", line 47: Error: A declaration was expected instead of "}".
and what is on line 47 is below
__END_NAMESPACE_C99
When I comment this line out, that particular error does not show up but still the other errors above still show up.
From the testing I did, it appears to have these problems for most of the C++ programs I have written, especially the ones that involve object oriented programming. All programs that I wrote do not have these problems with g++ or Sun CC for Solaris. It does however work fine only for small fraction of the programs I have written. I dont quite understand why it works in some cases and others it doesnt, but I know for sure, that it should be working for all cases when Sun CC from Sun Studio 10 on Solaris 10 for X86 has no problems compiling the same programs.I tried workaround number 2 from the 3 choices that were listed by horsh. That fixes the mathcalls.h problem but still I have the following errors.

Can someone please respond? There is more to the problem. Perhaps
there are more glibc headers that have problems. In addition, if Sun wants to port the Sun Studio Compilers for linux to be stable on all linux distributions I suggest using VM ware and installing several linux distrobutions as virtual machines and testing this software on each virtual machine to see the problems that occur on each distribution. That way you might be able to uncover more problems to find a solution that will work best for portability on all linux distributions. -
Hi Experts,
I'm having a problem with decimal.
I have a alv data grid that can be edited.Once I press enter the value for the decimal fields are changed.
Example: If i input 5.00 in the field then I press enter it converts it to 0.05
And If I input 2.01 in the field it shows an error Too many decimal places(Maximum 0)

Regards
marganiHello,
This is pretty basic, whenever you've currency & quantity fields you need to pass the corres. reference fields.
In your case you need to populate the cfieldname & ctabname fields of the FieldCat.

Problem with currency field in smart form
hi

Boy, you are not kidding, I was running both the cloud and CS6, and I was ready to throw in the towel.
I have changed computer's twice now, have a solid state hd, (which I love) with 10 terabytes on externals, I run NOTHING except adobe's stuff on my HD now, and only one version of it, and it runs like a dream.
So, I updated the OS to win 8.1, updated my peripherals,
I dumped CS6 (hated to, but for some reason my 3D won't work on it, it works fine with the cloud) but in CS6 the software was turning it off after adobe's last update.
I've made a virtual machine for my development environments which do not play well with adobe's stuff.
My rule of thumb has always been double what the manufacturer states is required for RAM, but imho, with my current upgrades: upgraded to win8.1, and other peripherals, spent two weeks changing stuff over and it's about 100 times better than trying to run CC and CS6. - No kidding, the change is astronomical
But for anything PC I'm way over powered, and for Adobe, I'm still underpowered.
Next, I'll just get a mac for Adobe, and stick with my pc's for ms/CentOS. Too, it seems like since the cloud was initiated Adobe is rolling out the updates faster and changes without warning. The processor/3D issue, I had no warning on it, just woke up one day and "no more 3d" :S
But I do love the cloud, so, guess there's got to be some dark lining to it. <g> -
When attempting to use Lightroom external editor program to edit a photo in Photoshop Elements 10, the photo does not open / appear on photoshop elements screen. I don't have any problem with this when using Photoshop Elements 6 or Photoshop CS. I'm using a Mac with Mountain Lion OS. Any solutions?
Adobe now hides the editor - what looks like it is not - you want the editor hidden in the support folder - see http://forums.adobe.com/message/3955558#3955558 for details

Problem with SDO_relate when using polygons with holes.
I'm having a problem with sdo_relate. I'm trying to extract all elements from a point table (bdtq_batim_p) that are inside a specific polygon from another table (SDA_MUNIC_SS). The spatial index for both table have been rebuilt and the data from both table is valid.
When I do a count on the query, I know the answer should be 1422 elements (Counted in ArcGIS). However, sdo_relate gives a smaller number of elements in the result set.
The query :
SELECT count(distinct t.identifiant) FROM bdtq_batim_p t, SDA_MUNIC_SS s WHERE s.mus_co_geo = '48015' and sdo_relate( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'mask=anyinteract querytype=window') = 'TRUE'
returns 282 elements. The query with mask=inside, SDO_Anyinteract() and SDO_inside() all give the same result.
I did a test with the following query and the result is 1422 (which is the good result).
SELECT count(distinct t.identifiant) FROM bdtq_batim_p t, SDA_MUNIC_SS s WHERE s.mus_co_geo = '48015' and SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'distance=0') = 'TRUE';
It's important to note that the polygone (from SDA_MUNIC_SS) that is used for this query have holes in it. I have the same problem with all the polygons from the SDA_MUNIC_SS table that have holes in it. For the polygon without holes, the results are the same for the 2 queries.
My question are :
Why are the result from the two queries different? A query with a buffer of 0 should always return the same result as a query with Anyinteract.
Is there a known problem with SDO_RELATE when using a polygon with holes in it?
Do you have any idea how to solve my problem.Since i don't have much control on the version of Oracle and Patches that we use in the system, we used a workaround that detects the polygons with holes and uses the SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'distance=0') = 'TRUE' operator in those case. We saw a slight decline in performance but it now returns the right results. When the system will be patched, we'll come back to the original version and see if the problem is solved.

I had problem with my apps,they open for a while and closes with in seconds i cant acess them
i had problem with my apps,they open for a while and closes with in seconds i cant acess them and i had this with all apss,expect apple apps
Do you have a lot of apps? Did you use a lot of apps recently? If so, many of them may still be resident in memory even if you aren't currently using them. Double-tap the home key and you should see the app tray with a list of most recently used programs. Press and hold the icons in the tray and remove the ones you don't use often to remove them from memory. Powering off and then back on might also help.
My wife's iPod does that sometimes, and it's usually because we run out of memory due to apps remaining in memory even when not used. The suggestion above is how we normally fix the problems. -
Problem with a field set to refresh after insert at Row level
hello all,
i have a problem with a field (a serial) which is set by a db trigger at insertion. The field "refresh after insert" is properly set in the Entity and everything is refreshed correctly when i insert data via an adf form in a jspx but when i want to insert programmatically nothing is refreshed. I insert data this way :
ViewObject insertVO = findViewObject("myView");
Row newRow = insertVO.createRow();
newRow.setAttribute("mandatoryAttribute1",value1);
newRow.setAttribute("mandatoryAttribute2",value2);
<more init here but not the serial since it will be set by the DB trigger>
insertVO.insertRow(newRow);
but when i want to get back the value with "newRow().getAttribute("TheSerial");" i always get a null back and not the value set by the db trigger.
One way to get the serial is to commit after each insert but i don't want to commit between inserts.
i've tried to unset the refresh after insert and override the createDef() method to setUseReturningClause(false) as it's is advised in chapter 26.5 of the ADF 4GL dev. guide but in this case i have an exception JBO-29000: JBO-26041.
How can i get the value back properly ?
thanks
-regardsThe data for the newly created row doesn't get inserted into the database until the commit is executed, so the insert trigger isn't called.
If you need to get the value without committing, then you should implement the trigger programmatically and drop the trigger from the database. The code below shows how you could do this.
ViewObject insertVO = findViewObject("myView");
Row newRow = insertVO.createRow();
SequenceImpl seq = new SequenceImpl("MY_SEQ", insertVO.getDBTransaction());
Long next = (Long)seq.getData();
newRow.setAttribute("primaryAttribute", new Number(next));
...You will need to replace MY_SEQ and primaryAttribute with the correct values for your example, but this should acheive what you want. -
