1) The following xpath does not return any node:

Reading the whole xmltype field reveals that this node exists at the selected path
2) Alternatively xpath does return a node: /lgbl/hauptteil[1]/art[@position="art:17"]/abs[@position="abs:1"]/ziff[@position="ziff:3"]

Question) Are dots in the position attribute string treated any special. If so, how should the xpath be formed to find the node in the query of 1)

Looks like the 1 goes into a separate criteria selection bracket, aka [@position="ziff:3"][1]

Copy Excel Chart into Illustrator: Problem with dotted lines

Copying an excel chart (2010 and/or 2013, Windows 7 Ultimate) to Illustrator CS6 works okay if line chart lines are solid... but if they are dotted, then in Excel 2010, the dotted line becomes jumbled, and in Excel 2013, the dotted line converts to a solid line... is the only solution to this to save the exel chart as a pdf, or is there another workaround?
Essentially, I am creating a chart in excel and adding a few notations and graphic elements in illustrator for professional publishing...

I finally broke down and bought a MacBook Pro, installed CS6 and Office 2011... and voilà... dotted lines copy from excel to illustrator just perfectly... this is a bit like copying data from Visio to Word, etc... these programs render graphics in very different ways... other than the Mac solution, I also tried the Libre Suite (open source)... which also worked perfectly to copy excel data with dotted lines to illustrator... so, until MS and Adobe actually collaborate together to provide value to its customers, the alternative seems (1) open source, (2) buy a Mac...

Problem with dot notation in wsdl-file

I want to consume a soap web service that is created in the sap system within a ios app. I am generating the stub files with sudzc. Unfortunately sudzc is making classes with a dot in its name. This is caused by the wsdl-file:

Strange problem with DOT- Overclocked by mistake

Hi,
Firstly i'm not any overclocker, and never ment to be. Please dont flame me.
I was just looking at the MSI Clock screen on the DOT page of display, I clicked on the default button on the 2D clock, and the pointer jump from 300mhz to 425 mhz by itself, I tried clicking on the default button again a few times to see if the pointer would return to 300mhz but it didnt, then Windows crashed and restarted by itself.
When Windows restarted, it said an error had happened, and did I want to report it to MS.
When I looked at the MSI clock screen again, after the crash, the 2D clock was back at 300 mhz.
I'm not sure if an overclock happened, or if the software just crashed.
anyway, it just scared me.
Could this have damaged my video card if I did overclock the 2D clock by 125 mhz by mistake? It was only at this setting for a few seconds before Windows crash.
Everything seems to be running ok now.
The card is an MSI FX 5700 256 mb, and the driver is an NVDIA version of 66.93

I was abit scared, that I had damaged it.
I'm going to delete the MSICPL.DLL file, so the DOT screen goes away,
That way I wont be able to muck around with the overclocking controls, and make the same mistake again.

Problem with countinuous paper printing in dot matrix printer

I have problem with dot matrix printer (Devise Type EPESCP) while printing continuos printing. If i am printing 2 or more than that prints at a time, 2nd page is printing 5 lines up.
I have developed one smartform for this and i have used A4 size page format.
I have tried to change the Printer initialization code to 86 lines for DINA4. Still no change in continuous printing.

46 HEX = 70
So the above settings mean 70 lines at 6 LPI = 11.66 inches.
So is the paper length 11.66 inches? If not, you should adjust the settings accordingly.

Thanks to Fruhulda and Peter for their comments regarding the refusal of Pages to let me make 3D charts.
In answer to the questions put to me in this regard :
1. Pages version : Pages '09 v.4.1 (923)
2. Mac O/S :          v.10.6.8
3. 3D chart :          Can't find a 'name', but upright bars with rounded corners ???
4. Moved apps :    Not that I'm aware of! All should be as installed off the disc.
5. A note :              I have been able to create these in the past - related to a SW update?
                      and ... can create these charts perfectly in Keynote (go figure).

Problems with JDOm XPath

Hi all.
I have a JDOM XML document and I use JDOMXPath to apply XPath expressions on the XML document.
I have XPath expression for which JDOMXPath does not match any node:
//*[not(count(descendant::a) < 4)]
[not(descendant::node()[count(descendant::a)>3])]
[not(descendant::text()[normalize-space(string())!='']
[not(ancestor::a)])]
XML parser such as Saxon, MSXML, etc. correctly match this XPath on the document and find the appropriate node-set, so the XPath expression is 100% right from the XPath syntax perspective.
But in JDOM, it does not match.
Could anybody tell me what is the problem?

the XML node-set that I am trying to match is as follows:

<li>Amaya</li>
<li>ABC</li>
<li>CC/PP</li>
</ul>
The interesting moment is, that if I change the node-set to look like this:
<ul><li>Accessibility</li><li>Amaya</li><li>ABC</li><li><a href="Mobile/CCPP/"></a></li></ul>
i.e. without any spaces, JDOMXPath will match for the above XPath.
Is there any problem with spaces in JDOM/JDOMXPath?

Problem with custom paper size on dot matrix printer

Hi All,
I'm using CR2008 with updated to SP2. I have a problem with custom paper size (W=21; H=14), the CR Viewer show report with custom paper size correctly but when I print it to a dot matrix printer (Epson LQ 300+) the content was rotated to landscape. If print to a laser printer the content was printed correctly. My report was printed correctly by CR10 or previous versions I got this issue when upgraded to CR2008. I aslo tested my computer and printer with orther application like MS Word the printing have no problem with custom paper size.

Looking at the Epson LQ 300+ driver, I see that the latest update is from 2002. In my experience, most matrix printer drivers are not unicode. Crystal Reports is designed to only work with unicode printer drivers. Problems with special characters in InputStream or XPath

I am having problems with special characters such as ", ', - and so on, everything becomes ? (questionmark). (Not with special nordic characthers (å,æ,ø) though.)
The encoding of the XML is UTF-8, and the server that holds the webservice is setting encoding to UTF-8 also, so no conflict there.
What I have done is something like this:

Problem with accounts that has dots

We have this problem after migrating from tiger server.
If user has secondary uid with dot
(for example primary uid for john smith is johnsmith and secondary john.smith)
and tries to login using POP(with IMAP everything is OK) then system(CYRUS)
creates new blank mailbox john^smith.
So user don't get any error and can't receive mail because new messages located in mailbox johnsmith.
Removing dot from login solves the problem.
Is there any way to solve the problem because 10.4 does not have this issue.

forgot to mention, problem occurs only when logging to pop using uid alias that has dot(f.e. j.smith)

Receiver determination - Xpath expression problem with count

I am working with a scenario where I pick up records from a JDBC connection and if the number of records I pick up is less than a certain number I want to call a webservice. If it is greater than the number I want to write out a file to be processed by a different process on the receiving end. I have created the receiver determination condition with the following conditions:
(/p1:MT_HOG_Data/row[count(row) > 3] EX)
(/p1:MT_HOG_Data/row[count(row) <= 3] EX)
The integration is always processing the second condition no matter how many records come in. I have tried with and without the multiline option. Can anyone help with this?

You can not use the EX operator in that case, because that is used only for node existence checks, not for value checks.
Do you have a row number in your structure ? Then you could write the xpath expression with that counter tag and value
Example: you want to send to receiver A if count > 3, else to B:
you set /rowNumber EQUAL 4 for sender A
and /rowNumber NOT EQUAL 4 for sender B
The condition is applied to the whole document. If one of the node/values are true for that condition, then the whole condition is set to true.
Problem with that is that the second condition also will be true because nodes for that condition will be found
better would be to have a rowcount tag in the structure. If that is not possible, you can use the "Enhanced Receiver determination" where you can define a mapping which determines the receivers. There you can do anything complicated you want.

In fact I don't think I'm using different version of JDOM.
I use eclipse with jdk1.4.2.
I have downloaded JDOM-b10 and the only things I have done is to extract zip archive and to add all .jar files of the jdom directory in my library path.
Do this is the only version of JDOM I'm using.
All works perfectly excepted only the XPath parent method. It's strange that the other methods work fine.
I don't knnow how to solve this problem ! so if you can help me I be very thankfull.

Problems with Steam - Dota2 and ETS2

I had never problems with Arch + xfce but last time I made fresh install of Arch with KDE and problems begins. Strange logs in steam running Dota 2 and Euro Truck Simulator 2. Dota 2 freezing, jumping even 60+ fps, both games can freeze for 1 min with sound.

I can't be sure but most of the dota2 output looks "normal" to me (I get the same yet it works fine).
eurotrucks is clearly crashing. You could try to force the resolution it uses in its config files?
Or maybe it's missing a lib (you may need to install 32bit versions):
ldd /path/to/eurotrucks
to see if that's the case. If not, you might have to take it up with the eurotrucks developers.
And you could try using fluxbox/openbox just to see what happens. A lot lighter than KDE.

and remember to check for missing 32bit libs.
