Problem with iTunes 7.4 (mac)

Updated iTunes to 7.4 and 7.4.1 today. At first I'd lost the TV on the device list. After trying the usual reset I decided to reset my TV to factory settings and start fresh....
After the reset to factory, did the TV update then turned on my G5, opened iTunes, enter the code.
Now the TV is showing on the device list but the only option I have is "Summary" and "Photos"...
I am unable to set what I want to stream and sync????
It is streaming but not syncing????

Nothing has changed in my setup except the fact that I updated iTunes to 7.4
Any ideas?

If you didn't remove it when you did your restore, you may well have two in there now. Whether you are able to determine which is your non active tv and delete it, or whether it will do any good at this stage assuming you do have two, I really don't know. I do feel however that clearing the itunes preferences of any tv you are going to restore is a good housekeeping procedure.

    1. I can only see a small portion of the bar at the top. All of the buttons look messed up. I reinstalled but it didn't help.
    2. the music section only shows a small portion of the songs in my library  When I turn on the share option it shows all of the songs but most of them are in the cloud and it won't let me transfer any of them to my iPod nano.
    3. How do I take all the songs out of the cloud and put them all back on my computer? when I turn off share it only shows the songs that are not in the cloud.

    You can't track your iPod through iTunes. If you enabled 'Find my iPod' then you can look for it from the iCloud website using your apple ID.

    Applications should not disappear all by themselves.
    If they are then that coud indicate serious problems with your hard drive.
    Backup everything up as quickly as possible.
    Using Disk Utility verify your system disk.

  • IPhone 4 version 5.0 has sync problems with iTunes 10.5 on Mac OsX 10.6.8

    Hi there,
    I have Mac OsX 10.6.8, iTunes 10.5 and iPhone 4 version 5.0; all up to date.
    When I try to sync my phone with iTunes, the sync goes well until the apps start to sync .... then iTunes closes and I get varying error reports.
    I have tried updating everything (Mac, iTunes, iPhone) to no avail.
    I tried restoring the iPhone, that didn't help whatsoever.
    Does anyone have a solution? I am now tempted to downgrade to an earlier version of iTunes (ie: 10.4.3) as some people suggest in different posts.

    There is definitely a problem with iTunes 10.5 and iOS 5.0 syncing correctly.  I've seen lots of workarounds on the forums here.  Just search for it and see if you can come up with something that works.

    I've a problem with iTunes 11.1.4. When I want to add music on my iPodTouch 5g 7.0.4, I can't find how to add the music. The button "Synchronize" is always grey.

  • Multiple Problems with itunes...PLEASE HELP

    i'm crossing posting this to try and get as much help as possible, so i'm sorry if you see this in a bunch of places.....
    i posted awhile back and didnt get much help and i'm still having problems with itunes
    first of all when i open itunes it attempts to do the gapless playback stuff....if i let it do it....it gets half way through and freezes....but if i stop it before it freezes, i am able to play music BUT not import any songs from cd, ipod, or downloading software....
    so, i deleted the library and imported "iTunes Music Library.xml"....then i went into my itunes folder and started dropping the songs into itunes...and i got about 3/4s of my music (about 25 gigs) and it starts to freezes when looking for album covers....if i force quit and reopen the song will be in there...just not the album work....which is fine....but if i have to force quit every time i import a song, its going to get rediculous....i have tried deleting the library and importing the "iTunes Music Library.xml" file about 6 times now, with the same results.....
    ALSO...when i connect my ipod to my computer (i have 80 gig 5G) it will freeze while syncing....
    i honestly have NO idea what to do....any suggestions would be welcomed...thanks....

    but cannot do this because I cannot access Mac App Store
    If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
    It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.
    Plants vs. Zombies, and that is all for additional software on here
    FYI:  Some third party software can cause issues with the App Store >   Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text
    Apple is not responsible for incompatibility isssues with third party software.

    Hi i'm having some connectivity problems with itunes i can open up the itune folder on my desktop but it will not connect to the itunes store,
    Any ideas of how I can get round this both my laptops will connect but not the desktop and of course thats where all the music is

    Problems with iTunes 7.1.2 : Missing Contacts Info !
    I synced my iPhone 5s (running v 7.1.1) to my late 2010 MacBook Pro 13" (OSX 10.9.4) using iTunes (can't remember exactly which version of iTunes, but whatever was the latest around the end of May 2014).
    Subsequently, I upgraded my iPhone 5s to v 7.1.2 and also upgraded iTunes to 11.3.1 (2), then synced my 5s to my MacBook Pro.
    Following this, on both my iPhone and on my Mac (I don't use iCloud), many of my Contact details had reverted to a much older version, and most of the information under the "notes" field in each contact was missing.
    Is there a way to revert to the prior version of iTunes (7.1.1) or otherwise restore this missing information?  There is critical information in my Contacts that has now ceased to exist!

    Often in upgrading the OS, QT or FCP for some odd reason QT will get knocked slightly off kilter. Before doing the step back to 6.5.2, try a complete QT reinstall.
    This is how:
    Go to /library/receipts and delete any files that say Quicktime followed by a number e.g. Quicktime703.pkg
    Go to the Apple quicktime site and download the appropriate version of Quicktime to your hard drive.
    Run the Quicktime installer.
    Repair Disk Permissions for your System Disk (Disk Utility > Select the system disk > Repair Disk Permissions)
    Reboot
    FWIW, FCP4.5 can run without issue under 10.4.x and QT7, but it is VERY stable under 10.3.9 and QT6.5.2.

  • Problems with iTunes Launching

    I am having problems with iTunes launching on my G4 Mac Mini. Everytime I tried to launch it the application just carries on bouncing up and down on the dock, but never launches. I dumped the preferences folder then tried to relaunch it but that didnt solve anything. Then I tried uninstalling the whole application. I searched for any files associated with iTunes and trashed them. Then reinstalled iTunes 7 (previously had iTunes 6 on), thinking this would solve the problem but it didnt. Has anyone got any suggestions for me? My only other option is to reformat the whole machine just to get iTunes working again. Obvioulsy I didnt right away wanna go this route. I'm sure there is something I am just missing
