Problem with jquery slide show conflict with vertical navigation menu in Firefox & Chrome. Works in IE. This is my first time trying to post a question - so please be kind. I am also not good with code and am finding css a real challenge after learning to design based on tables. I'm using CS5.
The "test" page with the slide show is: http://www.reardanwa.com/index-slides.html The same page without the slide show is http://www.reardanwa.com/
I realize the images are not ideally sized - I'll fix those once I get the pages to function. Maybe I need a different slide show? I would prefer a widget that I can modify to required size & postition. Again - I'm not good at building with code from scratch.
The problem is the naviagation links that are directly next to the slide show do not work in Firefox of Chrome. They do work in IE.
I've read about using jQuery.noConflict(); code but can't figure out the correct way to use it in my case or whether that's even part of the solution. I know my code is not well organized as I have cobbled together from various sources in an attempt to format the page the way the client wants it. Also, FYI, I will eventually try to make the page work in Surreal CMS.
I've spent sevaral days over the last several weeks trying to solve sth slide show/navigation conflict - so any specific light you can shed will be much appreciated.

Problem with running Bash shell scripts
I am unable to run Bash shell scripts on the UNIX Terminal application.

Is this a problem with the the default installation of the Bash shell? Can I install the Bash shell on my own? If so, how can I do that?

You are NOT running the default bash, you are trying to run a private copy.
The default Mac OS X bash is located at
/bin/bash
Try the following:
/bin/bash ./test1.sh
Does that work?
What is the first line of your script? Is it:
#!/bin/bash
Or maybe
#!/usr/bin/env bash
/usr/bin/env would find the first bash in PATH . I find this most useful for finding perl on different systems, but sh, ksh, bash, zsh, csh, tcsh are all generally found in /bin so I do not bother using /usr/bin/env
And if you have
#!/usr/local/bin/bash
Then the person that wrote test1.sh choose to use something besides the default bash
Or maybe this script was transferred from some system where you needed to put your own copy of bash in /usr/local/bin because the vendor does not distribute bash
Then again, you have not showed us what is inside your script, so it is possible something in the script called something else which invoked the /usr/local/bin/bash
If that is the case, then you might try:
/bin/bash -x ./test1.sh
which should show you the commands executed before it died. -

Problem with JQuery tab after migrated to APEX 4.0
My test application hosted on apex.oracle.com is using JQuery tab function and it is running well with APEX 3.2.1.
And now after the migration to APEX 4.0, it can not display the tab anymore.
Any idea how to solve this problem?

Problem with rsh (remote shell)
Hi!
I'm spanish and my english is not very good. I'm development a soft that connect with router cisco with rsh. And i have to send rsh commands but i can't. From my Linux shell command a request rsh:
rsh 192.168.1.5 cisco-rsh
cisco-rsh is a user that has privileges.
A configuration of my FastEthernet0/0 on my router(cisco 2600) is:
no ip rcmd domain-lookup
ip rcmd rcp-enable
ip rsh-enable
ip rcmd remote-host cisco-rsh 192.168.1.33 cisco-rsh enable
ip rcdm remote-username cisco-rsh

Then what is my problem? only can use rsh because my teacher is required.To enable the Cisco IOS software to receive incoming remote shell (rsh) protocol and remote copy (rcp) protocol requests, customers must configure an authentication database to control access to the router. This configuration is accomplished by using the ip rcmd remote-host command.

Problem with the run_job,shell script with sqlldr
Hi Gurus,
I Created a job which calls the shell script and i understood from the other posting this job is going to execute with nobody,
I had done the below testing
Test 1) Shell script calls the SQL file, this SQL file executes the procedure.
Test 2) Shell script calls the sqlldr command.
When i execute the Test cases with , dbms_scheduler Run_job procedure, Test1 is success but Test2 was failed
When i execute the Test cases with, logging into box with owner of the shell & both test cases are successful.
Parent folder & Shell files are given with 777 permissions. & the Oracle db is version 10.2.0.1.0.
Error:
STANDARD_ERROR="SQL*Loader-522: lfiopn failed for file (*.log)"
Please provide me your inputs its bit urgent Thanks a lot for your help.
Edited by: 926769 on May 23, 2012 2:27 PMFirst of all let's look at your environment ... a totally unpatched version of software that is so old it is in desupport mode. You should upgrade to a fully supported version but, if you can't, at least to 10.2.0.5.
That said without seeing any of your code, or a listing showing permissions on the directory and files, there is insufficient information from which to help you.
Please post ALL information required for us to understand what you are doing an your environment.
But before I decided that NOBODY was doing anything ... I'd shell out to the server from SQL*Plus using the HOST command and verify that permissions are as you believe them to be. There is every reason to believe SQL*Loader is having an issue with your file as identified. -

I moved back to Archlinux after a brief stay in LMDE, and test the new GNOME3, I am unpleasantly surprised that after a while the mouse is moving himself toward the top of the screen. I searched the internet, and seems to be a problem with the gnome-shell for some time, but I am not able to find the solution.
Momentarily solved by restarting gnome with ALT + F2 + r + Enter, but after a while, same thing happens again.
Can be well with photography programs, but of course if you do not solve this issue, GNOME, I can not use

Of course, I also had (previously) set up another joystick to operate as a mouse. In the end, the cursor "drifted" when the laptop was not level

Problem with shell commands and scripts from an Applescript Application
Hi-
I am fairly new to OSX software development. I am trying to build an application that creates a reverse SSH tunnel to my computer and starts OSXvnc. The idea is that my Mom or anyone else who needs help can connect to me without having to tinker with their firewalls.
There are plenty of resources on how to do this, and I have found them. What I have a problem with is the following.
I am building this application in Xcode as an Applescript application, because Applescript and shell scripting are the only forms of programming I know. I use an expect script to connect through SSH, and a "do shell script" for the raw OSXvnc-server application to allow screen sharing.
The problem is that when I click on the button to launch OSXvnc-server or the button to launch SSH, the application freezes until the process it spawns is killed or finishes. For example, I can set SSH to timeout after 60 seconds of no connection, and then the Applescript application responds again. I even tried using the ssh -f command to fork the process, but that doesn't seem to help.
I am also using "try" around each of the items.
What am I doing wrong? How can I make the buttons in my app launch SSH and OSXvnc-server without hanging the application while it waits for them to finish?

Problem with GRID NAVIGATION EFFECTS WITH JQUERY
Hi All,
Im having problem with this image gallery with navigation (please see link below to see running demo). I am trying to use the 'Row move' style but am having problems getting the function to work. I have the images and everything set up fine but the actual function/navigation isn't working. I have downloaded all the relevant files to my computer but nothing happens when i click on the arrows. Also all of the 20 images are showing instead of just the 2 rows of 3? There should be 2 rows of 3 iamages showing then when the arrows are clicked the next two rows are shown and so on.

Problems embedding html with jquery content
Hey muse people.
i'm currently struggling with a very annoying issue:
I have a piece of html code with jquery bits in it (it's a 360° plugin). For some reason, it doesn't seem to work when i upload to my server and try it.
I have tried the steps suggested in this thread: HELP! Adding Jquery to Muse! , but whenever i remove parts of the "JS Include" section, i get warnings and errors entering the page. The plugin works, though..
Does anyone know a workaround on this one?

Problems Viewing JQuery With Firefox
I have been developing using IE6 and having no problems getting JQuery to work.
I hold my JQuery js and css in external files and then reference them using substitution strings in the shared components/application definitions. I then place a call to these in my page template.
In IE I have no problems, everything seems to work.
In firefox, dialog boxes and tabs do not work correctly. Tabs seem to appear as lists and dialogs, I can see the text but not the container.
Is there a setting in Firefox, I need to look at

I have looked and seems to calling the correct classes, from the external css file, but the browser seems unable to display them.
Is there an apache setting I need to look at ?

Here is my /var/log/messages.log output.
Since several days my computer repeatedly restarts programs that require at least a bit memory, such as firefox ('segmentation fault'), skype, virtualbox, generaly gnome 3 environment. Sometimes it happens that the system hangs and I can't do nothing, although I can hear that hard disk is working - at that moment only hard reset helps.
I know that the Dell Inspiron laptops (1720) have problems with Nvidia 8600M GT (the cold solder). Is it like that this time? Or maybe something wrong with the memory, CPU (Core Duo) cache memory?
I will be happy to add any additional information.

Firefox 6.0.2 keeps on crashing, problems with ajax calls

I am using the jquery form plugin to make ajax calls on my sites, when i invoke the plugin and have Firebug open I get this message:

Problem with htmldb 2 (Sorry APEX)!
I installed htmldb 2 on a windows XP, Oracle 10gR1 (which has enhanced by companion CD downloaded form Oracle's site). Everything went OK but when I want to connect to it by this url: http://localhost:7777/pls/htmldb it takes my username,pass but says:

I do not have Apache 9.3 or higher but I think oracle should offer this in its companion CDOracle does offer the Apache server, if you're saying you didn't get it from Oracle then where did your Apache server come from?
