Problem with Keithley 2400 source meter

Hello all,
I tried to controll a keithley 2400 source meter with Labtracer using a NI GPIB-USB-HI card but when I run the test is send me this error message: "There was ab error reported on Visa Read in Query. Test aborted. Error code: -1073807339"
is this card (NI GPIB-USB-HI) able to controll keithley 2400 source meter ?
the keithley 2400 source meter screen show "REM TALK" during the running of the program,
I installed NI488227 in my computer (windows XP) and also "Agilent Connection Expert", this later also show no possibilty to connect with the Keithley meter, I attached a file for  "Agilent Connection Expert".
Any help is appreciated
Thank you by advance

Follow the preliminary steps to first check if the device is able to communicate via the GPIB-USB convertor.
navigate to: Start>>National Instruments>>NI 448.2>>Interactive control.  Use this utility to query the GPIB device for some standard commands for e.g.: *IDN?
There is also a GPIB analyzer in the above path which you can use to verify the device connectivity to the system.
Also for communicating the with 3rd party GPIB devices always enable " NIVisa Tulip.dll" which will help recognising the device in max.  Look at the picture to enable this option in max.
post back for queries

  • Keithley 2635a source meter error 5038

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to control a Keithley 2635a source meter using labview but my source meter outputs an error every time I try to run the VI "error 5038: SMUA index exceeds maximum reading"
    I've looked at one other post on this topic but I can't figure out  why I keep getting this error.
    I've attached my VI's to this post.
    Thanks for your help.

    I fixed the problem.
    I wasn't setting the number of measurements to be taken by the buffer. I needed to use a Keithley sub VI called configure measure so that the measure sub VI would know how many
    measurements to take.
    If anyone has a similar problem using the buffer on a Keithley 2600 series SMU then reply to this post and I'll see if I can help you out.
    Thanks again.

  • Problem with Creation of Source module for MS Access

    I am having a problem in creating a source module connected with an "MS Access" file in OWB 9i using the heterogeneous services. I have created a DSN to an access file (.mdb) and created the HS in Oracle (modified the tsnames.ora and listener.ora files with required details). Created a Database link using this service and it's working fine in SQL PLUS, but I am unable to create a Source module in OWB 9i using this db link, since OWB 9i need a schema name for db link. In MS access it's not possible to have a schema.
    Please help me in solving the above issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Jagan

    What version of OWB and Oracle database are you using? If it is an OWB version 9.0.4 or higher, I presume you are trying to create a non Oracle source module under the Oracle Database node - is this the case? If yes, you should not do that, but create your MS Access module under Databases->Other->Other node (as I understand you are not using ODBC). Let me know if my assumptions are correct.

  • SQL Developer 3 EA2 - Problem with formating plsql source code

    I'm using sql developer 3 ea2. I have played with source code formating.
    I have 2 issues with formating in source code editor.
    I have a plsql string like the following extending over several lines.
    s VARCHAR2(2000) := 'SELECT
    col1, col2, col3
    FROM table
    WHERE col4 = :var';The result after apply "format" to my sourcecode ist:
    s VARCHAR2(2000) := 'SELECT
    col1, col2, col3
    FROM table
    WHERE col4 = :var';The second is that sql developer ist camelizing the previous line if I type a whitespace in plsql sourcecode.
    How to switch that off??
    The last issue is realy annoying!
    Christian

    I am having exactly the same problem. Every time you use Format Ctrl/F7 it adds new line feeds. Code starts off as:
    command := '
    select account_status, default_tablespace, temporary_tablespace,
    to_char(created,"YYYY-MON-DD HH24:MI:SS"), profile
    from Dba_Users@@
    where username=:1' ;
    First Format Ctrl/F7 get an extra blank line:
    command := '
    select account_status, default_tablespace, temporary_tablespace,
    to_char(created,"YYYY-MON-DD HH24:MI:SS"), profile
    from Dba_Users@@
    where username=:1' ;
    Then second Format Ctrl/F7, get THREE extra lines!!! It goes exponential!!
    command := '
    select account_status, default_tablespace, temporary_tablespace,
    to_char(created,"YYYY-MON-DD HH24:MI:SS"), profile
    from Dba_Users@@
    where username=:1' ;
    So far I've only really encountered the problem with dynamic SQL, which ignores the extra line feeds.
    i am pretty sure this is a long standing SqlDeveloper Format problem, going back to V2.

  • Problem with creating JAVA Source. please help

    Dear all
    how are you.
    In fact I have made a simple java class that return a string which represents the screen size . for example 800/600 or 1024/768 or others
    but I face error ORA-29541 class string.string could not be resolved
    This what i made
    first i created my JAVA Source
    CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED "ScreenProperty" AS
    import java.lang.Object;
    import java.awt.*;
    public class ScreenProperty
    int w;
    int h;
    public static String getScreenSize()
    w = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize().width;
    h = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize().height;
    return w+"/"+h;
    SQL>Operation 160 succeeded.
    this means the the java source created successfuly
    and I'm sure that my java code is correct
    then i created a fuction to call this java source as fellow
    SQL> create or replace function f_get_screen_size
    return varchar2
    as language java
    name 'ScreenProperty.getScreenSize() return java.lang.String';
    Function created.
    the I Issued this sql statement to return the result that should be varchar2 that represent the sceen size(1024/768)
    SQL> select f_get_screen_size from dual;
    ORA-29541 class string.string could not be resolved.
    I do not know what is the reason for this error
    and when i searched the documentation for this error i found
    ORA-29541 class string.string could not be resolved
    Cause: An attempt was made to execute a method in a Java class that had not been previously and cannot now be compiled or resolved successfully.
    Action: Adjust the call or make the class resolvable
    I need to know what is the problem.
    And is there another way to load this class other than making JAVA SOURCE
    please help

    before drawing hands of clock you could fill a circle/oval with certain color, then you'd have that kind of circle that has been filled as backgound.
    you may change those dots to be small lines for 12, 3, 6 and 6 o'clock and then have small dots represent 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11 o'clock
    anyhow, you should study that code and see how you can modify it whitout breaking it but having it look different.
    better yet would be trying to understand how it works, what any line there means and then recreate your own... this way you would learn more....
    and if there are some methods or anything you don't understand, then look them up from API documentation
    good luck.

  • Problem with raw PDF-source in AIR

    Hi Guys,
    I have a very annoying issue, that I have not been able to solve yet. I am trying to download a PDF-file from the web. The file was created by OpenOffice.org using the excellent JODConverter web-service. I have working Ruby code that allows me to download the file and save it to disk. When I open the file it works just as intended.
    The issue comes from trying to re-implement this feature in ActionScript for use in my AIR application. There are some FlateDecode blocks in the PDF-file, and those blocks appear to be damaged when they pass through ActionScript. I try to save the PDF-file using a FileStream object, but only the meta-data is saved correctly. All the contents of the file (which is in the FlateDecode blocks) is not displayed.
    I am no expert on character encoding, but this seems to be a character encoding issue. Both Ruby and ActionScript consider the source of the PDF-file to be a string. They also both seem to agree that it is a UTF-8 encoded string. However, the strings representing the FlateDecode blocks look different in ActionScript than they do in Ruby. Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

    Each user would have to set each browser individually.
    Note: I don't think it's possible to set the default PDF viewer with code for every user who visits the site.
    See the following link to enable Adobe Reader as the default PDF viewer in different browsers:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/display-pdf-browser-acrobat-xi.html
    Note: Not all PDF viewer browser plug-ins support PDF submissions, and most 3rd party viewers may not support forms created with LiveCycle or forms with Extended Reader Rights enabled.

    Do not use the "hardcoded" examples from the book. Check the deployed data-sources and use them as parameter calling lookup method.
    The following have been tested using a simple servlet with Jdeveloper 9.0.5.2 but I think other Jdeveloper/OC4J versions work similar.
    My application is called ds.
    The following command lists the datasources which are deployed with the application.
    I ran the following command against the %JDEV_HOME%\j2ee\home standalone OC4J server but it should work against the embedded OC4J server too.
    Here is the command to list the available datasources:
    C:\jdev9052\j2ee\home>\jdk142_04\bin\java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost admin welcome -application ds -dataSourceInfo
    And here is the output of the command.
    DataSource info:

    com.evermind.sql.OrionPooledDataSource/ds/jdbc/BookDBPooledDS - cached: 0 used: 0 total: 0

    ds = ds my application
    jdbc/DEVDS = string parameter used in lookup method

    Another strange thing..
    My ABAP colleague, debugged the program for me and point out:
          *   get data class (only standard and user values)
    >         SELECT * FROM ddart INTO TABLE l_t_ddart
                                  ORDER BY tabart.
              DELETE l_t_ddart WHERE   ddclass <> 'STD'  AND
                                       ddclass <> 'USR'.
              LOOP AT l_t_ddart INTO l_s_ddart.
    The l_t_ddart table contains only 21 rows (without my new Data Class, which is visible under SE16!)! I checked under oracle sqlplus and SELECT * FROM SAP<SID>.ddart; returned 22 rows WITH my new Data Class!
    I'm a little bit confused...

  • Keithley 2440 source meter, 4 wire measurement

    Dear all,
    I'm using keithley 2440 sourcemeter to measure the resistance value with 4 wire. I downloaded LabView driver, tested an example program , and
    it works fine.
    I tried to measure the resistance with 4 wire, so I put the "Enable Remote Sensing.vi" before the "Read Single.vi" , but it generated the error "#803"
    which is "Not permitted with OUTPUT off". If I disabled the Remote Sensing, then it works with 2 wire mode.  I'm using LV8.2 and I've attached the program.
    Could you help me with figuring out this problem?
    Thank you very much.

  • Problem with a Data Source in Web Logic

    Hi everybody,
    Currently i am deploying a 11g ADF application, i am testing my application in a Web Logic 10.3.2.0, and in the beginning all works OK, but when the user test the application like a half of hour the data source throws this exception:
    Messages
    Test of MOR_DS_ORA2 on server soa_server1 failed, reason:
    Connection test failed with the following exception: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceUnavailableException: No resources currently available in pool MOR_DS_ORA2 to allocate to applications. Either specify a time period to wait for resources to become available, or increase the size of the pool and retry..
    This error only occur in the development server of the company, never in the embed WL of my JDeveloper 11 g
    Checking my code (appModuleImpl where is all the logic and integration with my DB) i don't see any wrong.
    I call SP like this:
    String stmt = "BEGIN XXMOR_FUNCIONAL_PKG.XXMOR_SOL_REPROCESAR_PR(?, ?); END;";
    CallableStatement st = null;
    try {
    st = getDBTransaction().createCallableStatement(stmt, 2);
    st.setInt(1, idSol);
    st.setString(2, rw.getTrackingIdConcom());
    st.execute();
    System.out.println("Exito.");
    catch (SQLException e) {
    throw new JboException(e);
    finally {
    if (st != null) {
    try {
    st.close();
    catch (SQLException e) {}
    Execute some querys like this:
    public ArrayList getElementsByArguments(String query){
    ArrayList al = new ArrayList();
    ResultSet rs = null;
    try {
    rs = getDBTransaction().createStatement(0).executeQuery(query);
    ResultSetMetaData rsMeta = rs.getMetaData();
    int numColumnas = rsMeta.getColumnCount();
    while(rs.next()) {
    for (int i = 1; i <= numColumnas; i++) {
    al.add(rs.getString(i));
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    getDBTransaction().commit();
    return al;
    And some insert and update like this:
    public String setNewFzaVta(Number idSegNeg, String idenFzaVta, String nomFzaVta, String region, String copysOrden,
    String copysFecha, String mutlifuerza, String rtcrdAut, String autCorreo, String mercadotecnia,

    XxmorFzasVtasTabViewRowImpl newRow = (XxmorFzasVtasTabViewRowImpl)u.createRow();
    SequenceImpl seq = new SequenceImpl("XXMOR_ID_FZAVTA_SQ", getDBTransaction());
    Number seqNextval = seq.getSequenceNumber();
    newRow.setIdSegNeg(idSegNeg);
    newRow.setIdFzaVentas(seqNextval);
    newRow.setIdentFzaVentas(idenFzaVta);

    Can anybody help me ! ????

    Hi,
    from the original post it is not obvious from where the code is called and if the AM is released properly. So if you face the same issue, maybe you can explain more

  • Problem with the data source and web.xml

    I have an issue where JSC is removing my resource reference:
    <resource-ref>
    <description>Creator generated DataSource Reference</description>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/localOracleDatabase</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    from the web.xml and sun-web.xml.
    The application has been working great in the IDE for months then wham, no more data source definition. I try and add the reference manually and the IDE takes it out. I am "NOT" adding it to the .xml's in the build area. Why is JSC removing the data source entry?

    This continues to be a problem. The only way that I can get around the problem is to drag a table from the data source onto the design pallete and then the datasource is added back to the web.xml. I can run fine for 10 or 15 runs then the entry is once again removed from the web.xml.
    Help please!

  • RDA Problems with financial data sources- new FI-GL

    I have created a generic DataSource/extractor based on view on tables FAGLFLEXA and BSEG. The extractor is marked at Real-Time, with 300s Safety-Interval (lower) and Time Stamp.
    On ECC side I have created a function module to post transactions to Delta Queue directly and got it configured using BTE. This is event based and event is GL Transaction posting.
    In BI I have a created an Infopackage to Init Delta without Data and Initialized it.
    I created another Infopackage for delta, marked it Real-Time, and assigned it to a Daemon that would run every 5 minutes.
    PROBLEM: 1.  am not able to see posted GL entries in Delta Queue.
                    2.  As there is nothing in delta Queue daemon is not pulling anything.
    I have gone through most of SDN Blogs and forums. One message that I am getting is that this is because of FI-GL DataSources.
    Its also mentioned somewhere that FI-GL has to be handled specially. But how its not told anywhere.
    Thanks and looking forward,

  • BIEE Answers: Problem with logical table source

    Hi,
    I am creating a detail report in answers. This report does not use any column from the fact table in the logical model, but uses other dimension tables.
    In the logical model fact table, I use 3-4 times the same physical table as logical table source in order to filter results or not.
    The problem is that my report filters results by using one of the logical table sources. Is there a way to specify in answers or administration which should be my "default" logical table source for the specific physical table joins?
    Another workaround is to add as a filter on the report one of the columns from the fact table that do use the desired logical table source, but this is not always a workaround..
    Can you please advise?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nadia

    Remember to set the # Elements in your hierarchy to the appropriate ratio between levels, actual numbers not so important but the ratio needs to be correct for the BI Server to make the best guess if using more than one LTS.

  • Problem with update XML source in ALDSP 2.5 !!!

    hi,
    i am trying to write update logic for XML source in overrideclass of ALDSP 2.5. But the updated data in XML at server side can not be reflected in client side: the XML file is updated at server side, but the queried data by client side is still old. If i use workshop at server to query, then the result is correct. How can this be resolved??
    thanks !!!
    wanxg

    Please include all the code involved - your client, your DSP Project an your UOV.I meant to zip up the code and post it. Not just mention it.
    Go here and read section 1.1 for differences between the Test View and a client. When you execute from a client, the EAR is used as the source of everything in your DSP Project. So if you have an xml file within your DSP Project, you are actually reading an xml file within the EAR. If your UOV writes to a file on disk, then that file on disk will be updated. And the next read will read the file in the EAR (which will be unchanged).
    So for your XML file, it would have to be outside your DSP project - and specified with an absolute url (file://d:|/myfiles/...) (I'm not sure if that is even allowed).
    If you search around on your disk, starting from <domain> directory, you might find the xml file that you have 'updated' - not that it will help - it will just explain your 'mystery' a little bit.

  • Problem with Multiple Data Source Retrieval

    Hi,
    We are working on a Project that is concerned with JSF and XML parsing. We have successfully parsed the XML and made an object model- Lists out of it to display it using JSF. Additionaly we also want to display some data from the database compare it with the XML data and then display it on the GUI.
    So e.g we have an attribute code in the XML structure which is a number. Before displaying it on the GUI we first have to query the database what this number or code actually means i.e its description text . get it and display alongside the other data from the XML. So the question is
    1) How to get data from different data sources
    2) Compare the data
    3) and merge and display into GUI .
    And we have to display it with JSF and as far as i know JSF has no comparison mechanism ..??!!
    Thanks for any help,

    You can compare stuff in the EL, but I don't think this is what you need.
    You can just use Java code in the backing bean class for all the business logic. You can use DAO classes for database access logic. Finally for displaying you can use the JSF tags such as h:outputText.
