Problem with mp3

Hi,
im able to play mp3 songs in JMStudio, but can't transmit any MP3 songs.
With JMStudio, in order to transmit, i'd have to configure the encoding with Big Endian (instead of Little Endian); so it threw the error of
Failed to realize: cannot handle the customized option set on the Processor. Check jmf.log for full detail
Using AVTransmit2 to transmit, on the server side, there'd no error. But on the client side, there's no sound, and has the error of
RTP Handler internal error: . ........ : failed to handle a data format change!
Does anyone know how to deal with this situation ?
Please help.
Many thanks
PS: by the way, what's the command line to transmit by JMStudio? I knew the command line to recieve, but not to transmit.

Do you have your mp3 Plugin in your CLASSPATH on both client and server ?

  • Problem with mp3 files after upgrading to iTunes 8.0

I have the following problem in iTunes after installing the 8.0 version:
I have noticed that certain (mp3 in this case) files do not play or download Album Cover from iTMS.
These files were in normal condition at least 1 day ago, before the update and I can still find them in my iPhone which has not been sync since the iTunes update.
    Things I've done before posting:
    1. Checked the files that they still exist in their original location as they are set in iTunes preferences.
    2. Those files can be played either in Quick Time or in Finder Quick View (and Real Player and VLC).
    3. I have restored the mp3 files from Time Machine but no solution found.
    4. I have backed up and erased and created a new iTunes Library and tried to import them again on an empty library but nothing happened.
    5. The files existed in iTunes (without Artwork which they did have previously) but I could not play them (double-click etc). Then I removed them, I cannot add them again (either by 'Add to Library' or by drag-drop)
    6. Of course, I did a volume repair and permissions repair by booting from the OSX install DVD.
(edit) 7. I moved the files on my MacBook Pro and tried to add them in the iTunes there (completely empty and different library). This also had no result...
So after all these, the files are still not accepted in the iTunes but they still exist (and are playable) in my iPhone after yesterday's sync.
Any ideas? because i'm running short atm

Had the same problem with the new update. I finally got back to my previous version by using system restore. After the restore I had to go to the "All Programs" list and click on Quicktime and iTunes individually to allow them to re-configure, then had to restart the computer again. After that all's well. My lbrary was intact.
I tried everything to get the newest version to work, including completely uninstalling my current versions of QT and iTunes, then downloading the latest directly from the Apple website, but, after 3 attempts, nothing worked. Guess I'll have to wait for the next update and try again.
By the way, your library is not actually stored in iTunes--it is stored in your Music folder, so you should not lose anything by uninstalling iTunes if you need to.

  • Problem with mp3 illustration in the finder since 10.6.8 update !

    Hi !
since the last update to mac os X 10.6.8 my mp3 illustartions are not present anymore in the finder.... but i can see them in itunes! can anyone help me? it seems to be a bug cause some people with mac os X lion meet the same problem....
    Thanks

    BDAqua,
Nope. It's very erratic. For example, just now I cycled several times between the inbox and the smart mailbox and even closed and re-opened. The inbox showed messages. Then I quit mail and re-opened, the inbox was empty. It took a couple more cycles of quit and re-open to get an inbox display. But as soon as I got it back on, and then closed or changed mailboxes, it disappeared when I went back to the inbox.
Hellofa way to run a railroad.
And just for reference, when I first had this issue last week under 10.6.8, I read several posts on this forum wherein other users had problems with the inbox display. Other than the smart mailbox "fix", I never did find a definitive solution or explanation as to why it is occuring.

  • Problem with MP3 Ringtones

    Hi,
we have a Problem with our BB 10 devices if you use a MP3 as ringtone with more than a 128 bitrate the ringtone never stops if the caller cancels the call. And then you have to search how to stop the playing of the sound else it repeats until the accumulator is empty or the next person calls.
We have the problem with all our 25 BB10 devices.

The Z10 can deal with a 128 bitrate for an MP3 ringtone.  Most ringtons you find are 96 or 128 etc.  It most likely the size of the file that is causing you a problem.  Try using a smaller sized file around 3 to 8 megs or so.

  • Help..having problem with MP3's on a X

<SPAN>I have just purchased an X-Fi Elite Pro, because of all the problems with the cracking and popping of my older Adugy card! Hope I didn?t waist that $400.00 bucks! It started having some weird loop problems when playing MP3?s through the Creative Media Source Player. It doesn?t do it all the time, but when it starts?I will need to reboot with the reset button to make it stop. If I catch it quick?I can get out of the Creative Media Source Player by Ctrl/alt/delete. When the loop problem happens it is at the start of a song that won?t play complete. Kinda like it starts the song and gets hung and keeps trying to start over and maybe one channel is ahead of the other?if that makes since! It almost has a phase shift effect to it, but if I am not fast enough and it plays that loop too long?I can't make it stop with out rebooting! I have not had any other problems so far and this has only happened in the Creative Media Source Player, but I have not tried Windows Media Player in a while!

    Just try another player st.
If same issues happens, then reinstall directx (latest), audiocodecs (pack like k-lite, ACE), creative drivers/software. Maybe SP2 reinstallation too.
Also check all audio settings (SR, Bitdepth, effects, buffers, ...) you have there (creative control panels (and windows panels too)).
    You can also check if
    - any hardware conflicts/IRQ sharing(s) there
    - onboard audio is disabled and uninstalled (drivers)
    - remains from Audigy installation (drivers, dll's, etc.)

  • [solved]Problem with mp3 files on WRT610N (NAS)

I recently installed a usb-HD to my wireless router LINKSYS WRT610N Firmware Version: 1.00.03 B15. Then i wanted to change names and also delete some mp3-files. But any mount[.cifs] would not give me write access to those files. I googled a lot and found many issues (even on the linksys forum) on theis topic.
But the reason is that the linksys router will not give write access to any mp3 (and posibly other music) files. Any other type (txt, doc, exe ...) I can create, modify and delete. I see no obvious reason why this is so, but this could be a problem with other NAS's as well. It have really confused me for quite some time misbelieving it was an issue with archlinux as some other posts suggest, but it is not.
Linksys is not helpful. So for me the solution is to connect the usb-HD to my linuxbox and make the nescesary changes here. This is not an elegant solution but at least now I know who to blame.

Thank you for posting your solution; this may be very helpful for other users experiencing the same problem.

  • Problem with MP3 audio books - truncating

My shuffle is truncating the end of each part (track?) of my MP3 audio books. It loses the last one or two sentences. Is there something I can do to fix this?
I'm using the OverDrive Media Console to borrow books from the library. I have no problem with WMA format books (they appear as audiobooks in the shuffle listing). The MP3 books show up as "Music".
I'm manually managing music, which is required to transfer audio from OverDrive to my shuffle.
    MC754LL/A iPod shuffle 2 GB
    Model A1373
    software version is 1.0.1

I use "My Media Mall" (http://www.mymediamall.net) to check out audio books from the library. They come in 2 formats - mp3 & WMA. When I check out a book it downloads to OverDrive Media Console. Then in OverDrive I transfer the book to my shuffle (through the manually mange the storage option). If I then start itunes, I can see what's been downloaded and what all the properties are. By default WMA books are loaded as audiobooks and there is an automatic play list created. The mp3 books are loaded, by default, into the music section.
Per your original suggestion, I converted the "music" attribute to an "audiobook" attribute, which automatically move the files and created a playlist for the book. It did not stop the truncation problem. I then converted the book back to music, and selected the "gapless album" feature. This has significantly reduced the amount of truncation so that it's gone from a couple of sentences to less than a full sentence.
If I listen to the book on my computer (windows) through itunes, there are no gaps, and no problem automatically finding the next part to play.
FYI - each audiobook is made of several parts (usually 8 - 11 for the books I listen to). Each part contains multiple chapters. Some books only break parts over a chapter break, others seem to divide the parts into semi-equal sizes. If in the shuffle I "skip to next track", it starts the next part. The voice-over feature on the shuffle announces each playlist (eg. book1, book2) and then each individual part (book1 part 01, book2 part 02, etc.). Usually when I start a book, I use the voice-over to find the playlist instead of locating a specific part. If I've been listening to the book via itunes, then I'll have to step through the playlist until the second portion where it lists the individual portions.

  • Problems with mp3 pen-drives to listen in the car

    Hi everyone,
i'm from Italy and a new happy iMac 27" owner by 1 month..
i 'm really glad to have and use this wonderful machine , I come from years and years of Pc-Win.
The only thing, for now, that causes some problems is about  saving and listening, in my car, mp3 files on USB pen drives.
Before, using a a normal Pc-Win, i could save mp3 files and listen them in my car, but now using my iMac i can still save them but i can't listen them in my car. Something doesn't work.
if i create a pen-drive with my mp3 files i can listen only few of them, but many files don't play.
    - I created the pen-drive (FAT formatted/initialized) using iTunes, drag and drop the files on the pen drive icon
    - I tried to create the pen drive using only Finder App
    - i tried to change the pen drive
    - I tried to check the differences between the files that work and the others, but it seems there is no much differences
    - I tried to erase the pen drive trash
    .. nothing
the problem is still here, i can only listen a few tracks.
Somebody knows something about this problem ?
Thanks a lot in advance... sorry for my english

I bought an inexpensive set ($7) of portable speakers that run on 3 AAA batteries. My iPod plugs into it thru the headphone jack and has a little rest for the iPod. The sound results are pretty good and they are small so I can put it on the floor, seat or even in the cupholder and still hear my music. It kind of looks like the bookshelf sound system they sell only much smaller as the speakers are on each side of the ipod. I got mine at Big Lots. But I am sure lots of other places sell them.

  • Two problems with MP3 files for interactive PDFs

    1. I'm putting in two interview excerpts for an interactive pdf. Last week when I tried to import the first MP3, I got the "cannot place this file. No filter found for requested operation" error message. I don't know anything about sound files, so I just tried To MP3 from the App store, which converted my MP3 file to another MP3 file, I guess. The new file worked fine.
I got the second file today and had the same problem. I sent the following urls (http://indesignsecrets.com/forum/general-indesign-topics/how-to-place-an-mp3-file-into-ind esign-cs5-which-was-edited-with-audacity-and-converted-with-switch, http://indesignsecrets.com/forum/general-indesign-topics/no-filter-found-for-requested-ope ration-mp3) I found that seem to describe similar problems to our sound guy at work.He tried lowering the bit rate, but it didn't do any good. So when I got home, I tried To MP3, and it solved the problem again.
Does anybody know why this is happening?
    2. Once I had the first sound file in place, I wanted to replace the small gray box that Acrobat puts in. Bob Levine suggested
    http://indesignsecrets.com/hiding-sound-files-in-an-interactive-pdf.php
which worked great, but I needed some way to control the audio. I tried a variation of Steven Werner's suggestions in
    http://indesignsecrets.com/hiding-sound-files-in-an-interactive-pdf.php
It was working fine, when I had just a play and pause button, but when I added a resume, the play button just stopped working. I tried all sorts of variations, getting rid of the double actions in the buttons, starting new files, new buttons, but the play button just didn't work. In my last test, the play button worked, but only after I had pressed resume. So I am completely stumped.
Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.
    I'm using InDesign 7.0.4, Mac OSX 10.6.8
    Chris

OK, I should have thought more  before I answered.
So I see that Media Encounter does import audio files but it only exports video. However, I did a test with making a video file from the MP3, importing that video into InDesign, reducing the video, using the multi-function buttons, and everything worked fine. I got the warning message that the "interactive elements are clipped in ways that PDF files cannot reproduce" but it didn't interfere with playing it back. Still, I feel as if I'm cheating and something is going to come back and haunt me.
The disadvantage is that the video files are larger than the audio.

  • Problems with MP3 audio playbacks

I commonly have trouble with Firefox when trying to listen to an MP3 playback using Firefox. When I switch to Safari, everything works. What can be wrong? Here is an example http://www.kleinartistworks.com/recordings/Hammer%20Carl.mp3 This recording is about an hour long but on Firefox plays out in ajust a few minutes. Is there something I need to install, or activate?

    Hi cabrackett-
Sometimes, the video or audio content in a web page cannot be properly downloaded and displayed in Firefox. A required plugin may be missing, outdated, blocked, in conflict with another plugin or extension, or the content may be blocked for some reason. This article will help you solve these problems.

  • Problem with MP3 Playb

I have a Creative Zen Touch, a product I'm very pleased with. But there are a few things that I'm not pleased with, and one of them is simply playback of MP3s I put on the player. MP3s with a bitrate of 320kbps that I put on simply don't play. It doesn't say that there's a playback error (Like if you try and play an AAC file), it just starts moving the progress bar and it shows how much time is left/how much I'm into the song, and it states the name, album, and artist, like any other song. But, there is no sound - It's just quiet. Is there something I'm missing here?Message Edited by Yo-Pete on 0-24-2005 :4 AM

One more thing, how can you keep song setting? Like Albums, Artists etc. I recently put the songs on the Zen Touch and the albums were all wrong (Unknown Album [Insert Date Here]" instead of what I called it in Windows Media Player)
I'm using Windows Media Player 0, too.

  • Problems with mp3 files on my new MacBook

I just received my macbook for college in the fall but i wanted to put a little bit of music on it as well. So, i purchased xtorrent (after hearing how compatible it is with macs) and the 15 dollar license from its website. (it happened when i tried the trial of xtorrent as well, maybe i shouldnt have bought but i know there has to be a fix to it) However, to my dismay after downloading about 200 songs i realized there were about 70 files that i never downloaded. And most of them were only about 30 seconds or less (some were even read as 0:00), just songs from artists i downloaded but songs i did download. A lot of these random songs were also duplicated two or even three times in some cases. This didnt happen im pretty sure when i downloaded an entire album off of xtorrent, but when it was one or two files from an album they would download other parts of the album i never asked for. i tried dealing with it and just deleting the mp3s i didnt dl, however, that was tooooooo annoying and pointless cause they just kept coming. Well if anyone can tell me why this is happening you will basically make my week cause i really want my music now, thanks ( i am new to macs so this could be a simple mistake, but its really weird and its concerning me a lot)
p.s. i know mac os is nearly indestructible when it comes to viruses, but is there really no need for an antivirus software, cause i wouldnt mind buying it if it would save my mac

  • Exporting song to disc - strange problem with MP3

This works fine more than 9 times out of 10, but once in a while, when I try to export a podcast episode as an MP3, GB does the mixdown and normalizes, but does not convert it to an MP3.
The settings are exactly the same as they were for the many other exports I've done successfully. I've tried restarting the SW, even rebooting the computer, to no avail. I've also tried changing he setting to export an MP4, and that works just like it's supposed to, but I don't want an mp4.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the response.
    The Garageband file is called
    conversation with isak revised.band
The original conversation with isak.band worked just fine. I made a minor revision, saved the new file with the revised tag, then tried to export/convert it mp3. That's when it wouldn't convert or save the the mp3.

  • Problem with mp3 Player in Safari

    Here's my page again.
    http://charlesnewmanpubl.com/catalog.html
So it looks like I have this page just as I want it. But I'm seeing an odd issue.
When you click on any of the tracks in the cd, it calls a function which changes the album art, plays the track, and gives you a button where you can download the track.
This all is working great. But in Safari, not in Firefox (I haven't tested this in IE as yet. No access to a PC), when you click the download button, the time as shown in the player displays only the amount of time between the page load, and when you clicked the download button. And the player will stop playing at that point. So say you have a track which the player initially reports as being 5:23, then you click a few seconds later on the download button, the time for the track will display as only 0:45, and will only play to that point and then stop.
As I said, this not happening in Firefox.
Can someone help me to understand what's going on, and what to do about it?
    Thanks.
