Problem with OPEN My_Cursor FOR SELECT ...

Please, I need some help here. I'm developing an ASP NET application with Crystal Reports and Oracle 9i as DB.
I'm desining a report. I use a Stored Procedure (in a package). I know that in order to CR be able to read the stored procedure, I have to use Cursor in this way: OPEN My_Cursor FOR SELECT * FROM My_Table;
The problem is that I need to do other sub-queries to get the names of 3 people (from TBL_TWO) and show them in my Cursor (from TBL_ONE). How can I do it? I tried as my example, but I get error when try to connect from ASP NET: "ORA-24338 statement handle not executed"
Apparantly, CR needs to read just only OPEN My_Cursor FOR ... Is there any way to resolve this problem?
PROCEDURE SP_REP_OP_03 (My_CURSOR OUT MY_REF_CURSOR,
i_Cod_OP IN INTEGER)
IS
v_id_1 char(8);
v_Names_1 varchar(25);
v_id_2 char(8);
v_Names_2 varchar(25);
v_id_3 char(8);
v_Names_3 varchar(25);
BEGIN
SELECT TWO.Id, PER1.Names -- may or may not exist
INTO v_id_1, v_Names_1
FROM TBL_TWO TWO, PADRON.PADRON PER1
WHERE TWO.Cod_OP = i_cod_op AND
TWO.Cod_Rep = '01' AND
TWO.Id = PER1.Id;
IF v_id_1 IS NULL THEN
v_id_1:= '';
v_Names_1:= '';
END IF;
SELECT TWO.Id, PER1.Names -- may or may not exist
INTO v_id_2, v_Names_2
FROM TBL_TWO TWO, PADRON.PADRON PER1
WHERE TWO.Cod_OP = i_cod_op AND
TWO.Cod_Rep = '02' AND
TWO.Id = PER1.Id;
IF v_id_2 IS NULL THEN
v_id_2:= '';
v_Names_2:= '';
END IF;
SELECT TWO.Id, PER1.Names -- may or may not exist
INTO v_id_3, v_Names_3
FROM TBL_TWO TWO, PADRON.PADRON PER1
WHERE TWO.Cod_OP = i_cod_op AND
TWO.Cod_Rep = '03' AND
TWO.Id = PER1.Id;
IF v_id_3 IS NULL THEN
v_id_3:= '';
v_Names_3:= '';
END IF;
-- I tried to "attach" v_id and v_Names to My_Cursor, but CR can't get it
OPEN My_CURSOR FOR
SELECT ONE.Cod_Exp AS Cod_Exp,
ONE.Cod_Exp_OP AS Cod_Exp_OP,
ONE.Cod_OP AS Cod_OP,
ONE.cod_ficha AS cod_ficha,
v_id_1 As id_1 ,
v_Names_1 As Names_1,
v_id_2 As id_2 ,
v_Names_2 As Names_2,
v_id_3 As id_3 ,
v_Names_3 As Names_3,
FROM TBL_ONE ONE
WHERE OP.Cod_op = i_Cod_op;
END SP_REP_OP_03;

Why can't you just have a single SQL query that outer-joins the tables and returns the values you need? It looks like it should start in TBL_ONE and outer-join three times to TBL_TWO and PADRON, perhaps something like:
SELECT one.cod_exp
     , one.cod_exp_op
     , one.cod_op
     , one.cod_ficha
     , id1.id AS id_1
     , per1.names AS names_1
     , id2.id AS id_2
     , per2.names AS names_2
     , id3.id AS id_3
     , per3.names AS names_3
FROM   tbl_one one
     , tbl_two id1
     , padron.padron per1
     , tbl_two id2
     , padron.padron per2
     , tbl_two id3
     , padron.padron per3
WHERE  one.cod_op = i_cod_op
AND    id1.cod_op (+)= one.cod_op
AND    id1.cod_rep (+)= '01'
AND    per1.id (+)= id1.id
AND    id2.cod_op (+)= one.cod_op
AND    id2.cod_rep (+)= '02'
AND    per2.id (+)= id2.id
AND    id3.cod_op (+)= one.cod_op
AND    id3.cod_rep (+)= '03'
AND    per3.id (+)= id3.id;

  • F-32 : Problem with Open Item selection

    Hi,
    We have a strange problem with open Item selection for customer clearing in t-code F-32
    In My QA system
    if I input spl GL indicator ="*" and uncheck Normal OI tick,
    the system selects all open items,
    (those with spl GL indicator and those without spl GL indicator)
    In My Dev system
    If I input spl GL indicator ="*" and uncheck Normal OI tick
    the system does not select any open items,
    Please let me know which setting controls this behaviour ?
    Regards
    Sachin

    Hello,
    Check your data in FBL5N for the option "Special GL Transactions". There could be that there is no data in the system with SPECIAL GL TRANSACTIONS.
    In F-32, there is no value like *
    You need to input right Special GL Indicator. "*" will not work here.
    I am sure in both the systems if you put "*" and UNTICK your normal transaction, you will NOT get any items to clear.
    Please DOUBLE CHECK whether you have unticked normal transaction.
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folders. In OS X 10.9 there are two sandboxes, while in 10.8 there is only one. If you're running a version older than 10.8, this comment isn't applicable.
    Back up all data.
    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
    Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
    from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
    Log out and log back in. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent
    Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
    from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

    It should unzip if you double-cick.
    What are you seeing happen when you do that?
    Select a .zip file in the Finder and Get Info (cmd-i). What is set for it to Open With. It should be Archive Utility.

  • Open sys_refcursor for select from table variable?

    Hi,
    I've got a challenge for you! :-)
    I've got a procedure that has a lot of logic to determine what data should be loaded into a table variable. Because of various application constraints, i can not create a global temporary table. Instead, i'd like to create a table variable and populate it with stuff as i go through the procedure.
    The end result of the procedure is that i must be able to pass the results back as a sys_refcursor. This is a requirement that is beyond my control as well.
    Is there a way to make this sort of procedure work?
    Create Or Replace Procedure Xtst
    Mu_Cur In Out Sys_Refcursor
    Is
    Type Xdmlrectype Is Record (Col1 Varchar2(66));
    Type Xdmltype Is Table Of Xdmlrectype;
    Rtn Xdmltype;
    Begin
    Select Internal_Id Bulk Collect Into Rtn From Zc_State;
    open mu_cur for select col1 from table(rtn);
    end;
    11/42 PLS-00642: local collection types not allowed in SQL statements
    11/36 PL/SQL: ORA-22905: cannot access rows from a non-nested table item
    11/19 PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
    Show Errors;

    Not anything i'd want to personally implement.
    But for educational purposes only of course....
    create table this_will_be_gross
       column1 number,
       column2 varchar2(30)
    insert into this_will_be_gross values (1, 'begin the ugliness');
    insert into this_will_be_gross values (2, 'end the ugliness');
    variable x refcursor;
    ME_XE?
    declare
       Rtn sys.ODCIVARCHAR2LIST;
    BEGIN
       SELECT
          column1 || '-' || column2 Bulk Collect
       INTO
          Rtn
       FROM
          this_will_be_gross;
       OPEN :x FOR
       SELECT
          regexp_substr (column_value, '[^-]+', 1, 1) as column1,
          regexp_substr (column_value, '[^-]+', 1, 2) as column2
       FROM TABLE(CAST(rtn AS sys.ODCIVARCHAR2LIST));
    end;
    17  /
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.09
    ME_XE?
    ME_XE?print :x
    COLUMN1                        COLUMN2
    1                              begin the ugliness
    2                              end the ugliness
    2 rows selected.
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.11In the above example i 'knew' that a hypen was a safe character to use to break up my data elements (as it would not be found anywhere in the data itself).
    I would strongly encourage you not to implement something like this. I realize it's tempting when you are working in strict environments where it can take a serious battle to get structures like temporary tables or SQL Types created, but that's really the proper approach to be taking.

  • I have a problem with the indicator for power on the side of my HP DV6-1341el.

    I have a problem with the indicator for power on the side of my HP DV6-1341el. Insert the adapter's power jack on the notebook in front of the LED battery charging works, windows detects that the battery is charged, but if I use the diagnostic programs, they tell me they found that the computer is running on battery power and not AC mode.
    Where is the problem?
    I have also made the maneuver for the recognition by the operating system of the battery and does not seem to be there the problem.
    If I use the laptop without battery in AC mode happens that led to the side of the notebook blinks twice, three times and then goes off when I put the power jack.

    Go into the Device Manager. Expand the battery device, select the ACPI-Compliant Battery Control Method device, right-click it and select uninstall. After you have done that, right-click any device in the Device Manager and select scan for hardware changes. Your operating system will reinstall the  ACPI-Compliant Battery Control Method device.

    Facing problem with the code for sending an .xls attachment via email, a field value contains leading zeros but excel automatically removes these from display i.e. (00444 with be displayed as 444).kindly guide .

    Hi Chhayank,
    the problem is not the exported xls. If you have a look inside with Notepad or something like that, you will see that your leading zeros are exported correct.Excel-settings occurs this problem, it is all about how to open the document. If you use the import-assistant you will have no problems because there are options available how to handle the different columns.
    Another solution might be to get familiar with ABAP2XLS-Project. I got in my mind, that there is a method implemented, that will help you solving this problem. But that is not a five minute job

    The correct way is to just open the ref cursor and pass it back and then the receiving code that is going to use that cursor handles whether there is any code in it or not. can you please explain with simple exampleIs it really that difficult?
    Ok...
    Here's the procedure to return a ref cursor...
    SQL> ed
    Wrote file afiedt.buf
      1  create or replace procedure get_rc(p_deptno in number, p_rc out sys_refcursor) is
      2  begin
      3    open p_rc for 'select * from emp where deptno = :1' using p_deptno;
      4* end;
    SQL> /
    Procedure created.Now we have some application that wants to consume a ref cursor... in this case the application is SQL*Plus, but it could be Java or .NET etc.
    It declares it's local reference to the ref cursor...
    SQL> var r refcursor;then calls the procedure to get a ref cursor reference assigned...
    SQL> exec get_rc(10, :r);
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.Now, the application itself determines if there is any data when it comes to actually perform the fetches on it...
    SQL> print r;
         EMPNO ENAME      JOB              MGR HIREDATE                    SAL       COMM     DEPTNO
          7782 CLARK      MANAGER         7839 09-JUN-1981 00:00:00       2450                    10
          7839 KING       PRESIDENT            17-NOV-1981 00:00:00       5000                    10
          7934 MILLER     CLERK           7782 23-JAN-1982 00:00:00       1300                    10in the above case it had data, so it displayed it.
    So what if there isn't any data...
    SQL> exec get_rc(90, :r);
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> print r;
    no rows selected
    SQL>SQL*Plus (the application that calls the procedure) is the one that has determined that there was not data when it came to fetch it (using the print statement in this case). And when it found there was no data it handled it itself (in this case printing the message "no rows returned").
    The procedure doesn't have to do any overhead of determining if there is data going to be returned or not, because it's not it's responsibility and completely unnecessary. The calling application can easily determine if there is data or not when it starts to try and fetch it.

  • Problems with opening Acrobat Pro 9 PDF files

    Hi. We use Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 to convert our product documentation Word files into PDFs. During the last weeks our customers report more and more problems with opening these files. We usually deliver those on a DVD with Acrobat Reader 5 or another older version. (Please don't ask me why we're still on these old versions!) Did anyone experience similar problems with Acrobat Pro 9 PDF files and older versions of the Acrobat Reader? Does Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 work smoothly with the newest Acrobat Reader 9.1 download?
    Please post your comments. Thx a lot - Kay

    I would recommend distributing higher version of Reader as version 5 is just too old but looks like you can't go there.
    Acrobat 9 PDFMaker and Adobe PDF printers by default create PDF 1.5 compaible files. PDF 1.5 compatible files can be opened only in Acrobat 6 and above. That's probably the reason why your customers can't see the contents.
    What you can do is to change your conversion settings to produce PDF 1.4 compatible files:
    - In Word, select Acrobat tab or Adobe PDF menu (depending on your version of Word), select Settings
    - Select "advanced settings" in the dialog that comes up
    - Choose compatibility as "Acrobat 5", PDF 1.4
    IF you print to Adobe PDF printer, you'll find a similar setting in the print dialog.

  • Problems with Photoshop cs4 for the Mac

    I am having all kinds of problems with Photoshop CS4 for the Mac.  When I boot the software it seems to work for a while then, I am unable to open upf a file in Photoshop.  I drag a photoshop file over the application icon, the whole screen flickers and nothing happens.  I am unable to quit Photoshop as the quit choice is grayed out and command-q will not make it quit. I have to force quit.  I can repeat this pattern over and over.  What is happening?  How do I solve this problem?
    --Kenoli

    Thanks for the reply.  I am using  Photoshop 11.0.1.  I am using the latest version of Snow Leopard.  I have found both Photoshop and Dreamweaver to be pretty buggy for several versions now.  My suspicions were that they were really engineered for Windows and never really fully implemented for the Mac.  Dreamweaver crashes or hangs on me three or four times a day if I us it all day and does various annoying things like refusing to respond to the delete key after I have used it for a while.  I have pretty much stopped using it to some degree for that reason and also because there is other software that does a lot of coding things I do much more directly and simply.  Also Dreamweaver always seems to struggle to quit when I tell it to quit (that is, it takes a long time and gets hung up at places before it quits) and once it does quit, I always get a message saying that it has unexpectedly quit (even when I have told it to quit).
    The problems with Photoshop  (starting with just taking a long time to load)  have escalated to the point I described today, which makes it almost unusable. I just reinstalled Snow Leopard to see if there was anything buggy in the system software.  I will report if problems go away.
    Regarding both the refusal to open image files and the grayed out quit command, made me think something like you, i.e. there was some dialogue box open somewhere.  However, I couldn't find anything and I don't use two monitors.
    So . . . Adobe just seems to be getting more expensive and more buggy.
    Incidentally, why is it still running in Rosetta rather than natively?  Adobe now has a real Intel processor to work with.

  • Problem with opening a dmg downloaded file.

    I have a problem with opening a dmg file type. Example. I down loaded an update for Onyx. The download is placed on my destop. OnyX.dmg. When I click the file, disk utility opens up. I click OnyX.dmg and it attaches the image. I then have the OnyX disk image on my desktop. I click on OnyX.pkg and get the message "There is no default application specified to open the document "OnyX.pkg"
    I remember when I 1st installed the program months ago. I just dragged the icon to the applications folder and was done.

    There is something rather odd with your defaults for opening things. Double clicking a .dmg file should cause it to mount automatically using DiskImageMounter, and double clicking a .pkg file ought to cause Installer to run. DiskImageMounter is here:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/DiskImageMounter
    and the Installer is here:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/Installer
    You can use GetInfo to assign those programs to those file types. You might consider fixing your LaunchServices database. See the discussion thread here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5744911
    Using OnyX is probably the easiest solution.

  • Problems with open an Indesign-Document over Network

    Hallo,
    we have a specialized problem with opening indesign-documents over network. Our users works with windows-pc (windows7) and adobe CS5 and CS6 and they will use there documents which are on our macserver 4.0 which works on OS X 10.10.2.
    Sometimes the usurers become this Message
    Wouldn't work indesign proberly on windows with documents which are on a macserver?
    Please help me.
    best regards
    chris mueller

    @Naga Sai J – you cannot open an InDesign CS4 file in the previous version.
    But you can export an exchange file format for InDesign CS3.
    Go to File/Export and chose INX for export: "InDesign CS3 Interchange-Format (INX)"
    That .inx file could be opened with InDesign CS3.
    After opening the .inx file, examine it well!
    Some things might have changed (things regarding to newer or changed features from InDesign CS4).

  • 8830 & Problem with opening FB messages

    My problem isn't with the app itself.  I am having problems when someone sends me a message through FB.  When I try to opening,   I get the following:
    uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointersException
    Just started on Monday.  Searching here said it was a problem with an update for yahoo messenger, so I deleted messenger and still have the problem.

    Are these messages coming into the actual Facebook application, or are they email notifications?
