Problem with server - multi client app with filetransfers

Hi all, i've got a problem concerning a server application and several clients.
The data is being send to both sides.
when at a certain point a "client user", clicks on a table that selected item should be downloaded.
a new thread is being opened , the objectout / in putstream is being send to the thread and file transfer is being initiated. the file is being transfered.
if the file is past a certain point it will append to the file.
when the file transfer is done, the thread will stop.
the problem now is that if the "client user" clicks on another table item the client application will hang.
the server is giving this stack.

is it possible that when the file has been transfered, the complete socket streams are closed? because they are send to the threads right?

yeah i am making connection in a thread all info is being send correctly.
the problem in this case was that i was closing the bufferedInputStream thus autoclosing the socket.InputStream

Multi-issue app with subscription not show any issue of the magazine

Hi all,
I recently migrated my magazine from multi-issue app to multi-issue with itunes subscription app. I want to publish my magazine into the newsstand with free subscription.
If I install on my ipad the .ipa I see all the issue published in the last year and a half. I can subscribe the free subscription and all working properly.
When Apple store approve the app they told me that no magazine appears in my app (and the screenshoot they attached me confirm this).
I can't understand what could have happened.
On the development ipad was previously installed the normal version of the app (with no subscription). Is this a problem?

I agree with poorxperiaplay here. The problem is directly related to all Google services not just Gtalk, thats why Gmail doesn't sync right, nor does the calendar, nor does it work right when you pick out an app on the Google Play web site on your PC and try to install from there. It never live syncs with the server.
You can't just take out features like that because you broke them and then say sorry. People rely on the Google services, its why we bought an Android Phone! Not only that, ALL other versions of the Xperia Play, R800i, R800a, R800at, all run 2.3.4 official from Sony successfully. Verizon modifies it for roll out to their phones, to add their software, which means your product team broke it, and they aren't spending the time to fix it.
And yes the facebook application does not sync properly or even work properly on 3G either. The sync issue has been a problem from day 1. The web site on the phone works fine.
These are major issues that are fundamental to all R800x phones. This needs to be fixed, immediately.

Publish Client App with My Adobe Account or Clients?

I have a client and they don't have an Adobe Account so they want me to publish their app with my personal Creative Cloud design account. Is this a bad idea. I'm thinking that the app will FOREVER have to be updated by my account because it will be tied to my ID. Is this correct? How should I advise them. My initial thought is that they should setup a CC account ASAP and use their own account. Unless they want ALL updates for LIFE to go through. That is fine with me because then I they will have no choice but to continue to use me to update their app and I'll have a client for a long time. Ha. But seriously. Need help on this topic. What should I do?

As long as your cleint upload the app using thier own Apple Developer account, you should be ok. Though you may build their first app using your CCM account, if the client decided to purchase their own CCM and built the app, they can move away from you and update the app whenever they have to

Working with BW Multi Clients

Hi.
I know that in BW the System you work in has only one client for Configuring. In my case I need to create two clients for data purposes (have two different not parallel projects), but I was thinking in creating these two clients for development purposes also, at the end the configuration is the same for the whole system, so if a user enters on client1 and another on client2, if one of them tries to modify one object, it becomes locked for the rest of the users.
QUESTION: Have any of you worked in a Multi Client Landscape for BW? Is it possible to develop in one System using two different clients?

Hi,
As stated in the SAP link you can't effectively operate BW with 2 productive clients in one system. However data can be separated by means of authorization and/or splitting ODS'/cubes on organizational level (compcode etc.)
In a technical point of view all generated objects like ods,cube, update rules, tables and structures are client independent objects. Here a 2nd client within BW won't help to support 2 "separate" development projects.
In my experience it's best to put separate BW projects together on one dev box. In this way the developers are aware in an early stage when shared objects are hit. Before QA/Integration testing. From what i've seen and experienced it only saves time, and yes it is annoying.. because everyone has to play by the rules..

Multi-folio app with iPhone

I want to build an app and target the iphone...
1. The app will be free and multi-folio with issues released yearly
2. I will also target the iPad SD and HD
3. We have the DPS Professional and will do this with renditions.
The app will not go into the newsstand
I may or may not charge for the issues
How does the library look on the iPhone ? any examples one can show me?
Do I need to offer something for "free" in this app
Is this possible to do with DPS Professional?

You can do this with DPS Professional. Just check the "iPhone" option in App Builder when you're building your application and provide the neecssary iPhone assets. It's pretty easy to do so you might as well just build one and try it on your device to see what the library looks like.

LDAP (Directory service) server and client compatiblw with windows 7

Hello Experts,
Earlier we were using Netscape Server 4.0 and Console in Windows XP for LDAP Integration testing with BRM.
Now that Windows XP is soon going to be decommissioned and the software is incompatible with windows 7,I am looking for Directory service (both server and client) alternatives compatible with Windows 7.
Has anyone tried setting up a Directory service(or LDAP) in windows 7 Operating system ??

Basic cause for this type of error message is Generally permission issue.If you are using a domain account make sure it is added as local administrator in local machine.
RK on setup.exe and select run as administrator
Makes sure you copy installables on local drive and run setup from machine if your are running from CD directly avoid it.

A multi-folio app can have any mix of portrait, landscape, or dual-orientation folios in it. The only requirement is that for a specific folio all articles in it share the same orientation setting.

What's difference push stream with server script and push with flash media live encoder??

I'm multi point push streaming with adobe flash media server 4
Stream structure like this
Open Broadcaster Software (or Flash media live encoder) (RTMP) -> Home Flash media server with multi push script (main.asc)
-> Stream to 2 justintv channels + 1 dailymotion channel (1024x576 , 1750Kbps)
no problem at all when streaming to justintv
but some another stream services have speed problem
ustream can not push with this method
and dailymotion, vaughnlive push speed slow down than OBS or FMLE Direct stream
for example
when direct streaming with OBS or FMLE (Without home server) , no problem at all stream to dailymotion and vaughnlive
clearly no lag
but when push with server script, slow down push speed and unstable (it affect only for dailymotion and vaughnlive streams)
justintv upload speed same as OBS, FMLE's bitrate but dailymotion, vaughnlive bitrate always slower than justintv or OBS, FMLE
Like this - justintv , OBS, FMLE (1750Kbps~2000Kbps) but dailymotion, vaughnlive (1600Kbps~1800Kbps)
I don't understand why have push speed difference between server script push and OBS, FMLE push

First of all let me clarify that we call multi point publish and it has been explained in detail here

When you do multi point publish(MPP) you publish from one server to another server, when you use FMLE you do a normal publish of stream(s) from a client/encoder(FMLE in this case) to the Adobe Media server.

Samsung S4 - Issue with logging on to apps with Facebook

Anyone else running into problems logging on to various apps using Facebook to log in? I just activated my S4 and having difficulties with Words with Friends, Scrabble, etc. I've tried both Chrome and the internet explorer provided with the phone.
When logging on using FB, I get "This webpage is not available" followed by the web address with "Error 302" on the bottom. See attached.
Hoping for a quick fix but not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stupid is as stupd does. Turns out my FB app came over from my old phone and needed to be updated for everything to work. Backup manager automatically installed all of my apps. Thanks for the feedback though - it helped me look in the right direction as to what the problem was!

How to transfer file from server to client pc with out client unknown

ODBC Connection problem with SQL Native Client driver with CR 11

I am having an issue connecting my crystal reports to an ODBC connection that uses the SQL Native Client driver (Version 2005.90.2047.00). My reports work fine when using the SQL Server driver (Version 2000.85.3006.00). The ODBC connection is setup to use Integrated Windows Authentication and is defaulted to go to the correct database. When I test the ODBC connection in the 'ODBC Data Source Adminstrator' it connects fine.
The reports are trying to connect to stored procedures on a SQL Server 2005 database. I can log onto the ODBC connection in CR X1. When I try to set the Datasource connection for one of my reports to the ODBC connection I created, I get the following error:
'Some tables could not be replaced, as no match was found in the new data source. Please specify the table required for any unmodified tables.'
When I drill down to the SP and try to update the datasource location of the SP directly I get the following errors:
'Data Object cannot be opened/accessed'
and
'Unknown Database Connector Error'
As I said, I don't have any problems when using the SQL Server 2000 driver. One other thing to mention, when I initially connect to the ODBC connection in CR X1 with the SQL Native Client driver, it asks for a username and password. I leave these blank since I'm using Windows Authentication.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I just tried to create a new report using the native driver and there is no option to use Trusted Authentication. This would be why it's failing.
I don't believe we fully supported Native driver in Cr XI. Try downloading CR Xi R2 and install SP6 from this info:

Snow Leopard Server + Lion Client: AFP with Kerberos fails

Hi,
just upgraded my MBP to Lion.
APF File Shares wont any longer authenticate via Kerberos. (All other authentication methods are disabled on the server)
Does anyone have a tip how to get Kerberos authentication working with Lion against a 10.6 Server?
Can't find anything in the logs, neuther in the lcient not on the server.
I have a valid ticket an can authenticate to other Kerberized Services.

Multi-folio app with entitlements, SignInWithCredentials issue

I've setup a direct entitllement webservice and the 4 API methods are returning everything as wanted through the browser.
I've also tested in an app (through TestFlight) with a test user checking POST data requests and responses with Charles Proxy.
However it seems when I'm not monitoring the POST data with Charles Proxy, my FIRST attempt at signing into the app gives me an "Authentication failed" response.
On second attempt with the same information, the login works fine!
(the second attempt also works when I input dummy info into the login dialog on the first try.)
I'm wondering if maybe it has something to do with the SSL certification, I didn't really make any reference to it in the code. But if this is the case, I don't know if the login should be working the second time around anyway.
If anyone knows what's going on, any help is appreciated.

Problems with signing up for apps with a blackberry curve 9300

I bought a new curve on wind mobile, and I signed up for a blackberry ID. I must have forgotten the password because it won't let me in now and when I try to reset it, the site says that the verification code (the one that's used to make sure I am not a spam-bot) is incorrect. I've tried more than ten times, but I keep getting the same message. Is anyone else having the same trouble? Any known solution?

Wow. I have no idea how this happened, but at some point, I lost my Apple Root Certificate - that seems important. I reinstalled it from http://www.apple.com/certificateauthority/ and all is right with the world - and Adobe CC Desktop Installer.
