Problem with transports

Hello experts,
I have one interface that is already there in production.
Now we got some changes, which i need to move to production. In the back up plan we have decided that we will again import the old XIQ transport file and get the previous objects in production.
To tryout that, i tried to import XIQ file into XIS system, but no change.
I am not able to see the changed objects in XIS, they are same as they were previously.
Can anyone help me to find out what is happening here?

When you import older object versions to a target repository, all new object versions that already exist there are not overwritten. The older version being imported is visible in the object history following the import. The more recent version remains the current version.

If you have landscape as XID -> XIQ->XIS->XIP,its better to do the following change process in XID and transport it to rest of the systems,its just to maintain in consistency among the systems.
Solution is just generate new version(To generate new version go to change mode just add space in description and delete space then save,Activate. if you have more than one object from Same SWCV then Generate new version for all those objects and finally activate change list then you transport change list from XIQ to XIS) in XIQ system,Generate Transport file and import it into XIS system.
I hope you dont get any version conflict in XIS system when import from XIQ,In case if you get version conflict choose Imported version and activate.

STMS problem with transport import

Hello all
I had a problem with transports in STMS.
Log history of imported transport didn't show any error and simophore is green.
But in target system data element wasn't presented.
When i import this transport again - it's all ok.
It happened twice. And i didn't find any solutions yet.((

Problems with transporting

Hi,
I have a problem with transporting from DEV to PROD. There are no imports in import queue in SMTS.
I can export data from DEV, but there are not displayed in STMS. (Only texts as Language Netweaver 04 SR1 CS).
In TMS alert viewer there are a lot of errors. F.E. READ_DOCU_FAILED, RFC_SYSTEM_FAILURE, TP_REPORTED_ERROR (Transport control program tp ended with error code 0012).
We had no problems with this before but the old transports are not displayed in gueue too.
The RFC connection seems to be ok.
Can anybody help?

Hi,
it seems does not help.
But I found a problem in transport groups.
If i run a check of transport groups. The error message "System DWP cannot read test file written by DWD" is displayed.
"When the system checked the transport groups, it discovered that system DWP cannot read a test file written by system DWD to the transport directory. The return code of the action was 0008"
DWD=DEV
DWP=PROD
Can anybody help? Or does somebody know, where sap creates the test file? Or the name of the test file...

I have a problem with Transport the personalization of standard ess component.
My problem is in several components, such as:

I have personalized this page (into rol, not directly in the page), with Ctrl+Right button.
Now i transport the rol, from Development to Quality environment, but i don't see the changes in Quality.
My system is NW 7.01 SP7, Can be that the problem?
Any idea to solve this problem?

Could you please ensure that personalization was done by an admin user?
I'm afraid that if it was done by an end user, personalization isn´t
transported as it's explained in the documentation provided.
Could you please confirm whether you are using exactly the same language
to access to both systems, development and quality? Maybe you are using
language en(us) in one system and en(gb) in the other one. Please take
into account that personalization is language specific.
From the web dynpro end, the WebDynpro personalization is stored
NOT in the PCD prior to 710 release. And as such it cannot be included
in a portal role transport. This feature is available with NW 7.10 SP2
or later (from webdynpro point stand). The best option is to
go with NW 7.30 as this is the first NetWeaver release with EP since
NW 7.02.

Problems with Transport Management System

i seem to be having some issues with my Transport Management System, we have a two system landscape DEV & PRD, the operating system is windows 2003 server. i am trying to access the usr/sap/trans on the transport host (DEV) from the PRD system, i have put patches on the DEV server, but i can't access these patches from the PRD server. I have also tried to release a test transport, but the queues are not being updated. the systems are in the same Domain and the same transport group. on the PRD server i have specified the following value for the DIR_TRANS =
DEVSERVER\sapmnt\trans. i have checked the files and they are shared, what could be the cause of this?

Can you please check the access of global TRANS directory from your PRD server. Login to your PRD server, goto transaction STMS --> Overview --> Systems. Select your developement system and goto SAP System --> Check --> Transport Directory. If it can access the global directory the tick marks will come otherwise there is some problem with the directory access.

Problems withe transport example

Hi,
I'm trying out Oracle lite 10g on Windows XP. I've installed the mobile server with examples and now I want to install the Mobile Client on the Win32 Device. After synchronising I tried to install the transport application. This works without error messages. Then I opend the update-window (I think ist the one in the start-menue) but there is nothing to install. I find no transport.exe on the whole device.
Then I looked on the Mobile-Server. There are two transport.exe files in the folder <oracle home>\Mobile\Server\samples\Transport\Win32\bin and <oracle home>\mobile_oc4j_\j2ee\home\applications\mobileserver\samles\Transport_win32.
What's going wrong with my installation?

The Device can't register with the Device Manager on the Server. I updated the firmware of my client and everything else what I thought could cause the problem.
What language has the PPC2003 system of your device?
Perhaps the problem is that only the english PPC2003/2 system is supported. Because I have the german version of PPC2002. Hopefully someone from Oracle or someone else responds to this thread.

Character set problem with transportable tablespace

Hi,
I'm trying to import a transportable tablespace with data pump into a database with a different character set compared to the source database. I know this is by default not possible. But there's no violating data in the tablespace that could make it a problem when transfering the TS. So I issued 'ALTER SYSTEM SET "_tts_allow_nchar_mismatch"=true;' on the target to force the import. However; I still get the eror:
ORA-29345: can not plug a tablespace into a database using a different character set
How can I fix this?

A general restriction of transportable tablespace is that the source and target databases must use the same database character set.

check SE80 or se03 here u can change.

Problem with Transporting packages

I am just trying to learn the basic export and import of packages from one server to another.
I have created a very simple package with a simple program (SE38 Program). I noted down the request number. I then went to transaction code SE09 and released this.
Even though all the objects are activated properly, I still got an error message
'Error in pre-export methods for request EC1K900079'
Also I don't find any files in the cofiles and data directories.
I tried the same for simple SE38 Program, SE37 function, SE11 table (all seperately) to see if anything works. I get the same error message in all the cases and don't see any file in COFILES & DATA directories.
What am I doing wrong?
I would appreciate any feedback.
Also, what transaction code should I be using to import this on another server.

STMS is the Tcode for importing the TR to a particular server.
Packages are used to create requests.
what is the need to transport the packages, i did not get it.

Problem with Transporting HR Report Category

I have created a report category for a report.
and I have used this in other reports also.
I saved the report category in a seperate request and I have transported in first. Then all the reports using this report category are transported.
But this report category is not reflecting in target system.
Is there any specific procedure in transporting the report category.

When you transprot make sure your Report catogory is not overridden by other request
Do one thing finally means after all the report request has been transfered to prod.
go to dev client and do changes and save report catatogory and transport it to quality and chk

Problems With Transporting Interaction Center Scripts

I have problem when I select a Script and click on Transport button in the Web UI for the interaction center, IC_Manager Role. After clicking on the transport button I need to check in the back end (transaction code SE01), if a customizing request has been created for that script I selected.
So the problem is how do we find out if there is customizin request for that script or not? Is there a Pop Up window which comes after clicking on Transport button which would give me a customizin request number, which could be later used to find the request in backend?

Try checking this in the BSP Application CRM_IC_ISE.
If you open the script on the third tab (Script Transport) you can see the transport details.

How to cancel jobs from Import Monitor
I had added a transport in the import queue and it has been running for hours.(Extras->add Transport Request)
Even if i cancel the tp.exe from task manager at os level.... can see that in the Import Monitor with Truck symbol...
Then again i try adding to the buffer...it doesnot hep..still running for hours...

Goto Import monitor .Select the entry you want to delete and then select the delete icon.
After this again check for any TP processes and kill them. Delete old TP log files. and then proceed with import again.

Problem with transport of translation using RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER

We have a translation of a text from dutch to english via SE63 and we used RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER to create its transport order.
However, upon transport, the changes or the translation did not took effect in the test box.
Please let me know your thoughts on this.

I am also facing problem while creating the transport for translations done using SE63.
The message i am getting while executing the program RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER is
"No Authorization for Transport Requests Creation -> Display Mode".
How to resolve this, or i need to contact BASIS team for the same?

Problem with transporting Content

Hello experts,
I have problems transporting my content from BW1 to BW2.
I collected my content objects in Transport Connection of BW1 and transported them to BW2.
Everything worked fine. I could use my content in RSA1 of BW2.
But when I transported my content objects again from BW1 to BW2 after I had deleted all my content objects from BW2, the content doesn't show up anymore in RSA1. What went wrong?

Hi,
I suppose the method of reimport could solve the problem.
Have you selected the option of "import transport request again" while importing it the second time.
Only once you do this the contents will get transported.

Problems with Transporting Responsibilities

I am using rules with responsibilities to determine the agents for a workflow I am developing. The ultimate destination system will be lockeed down for modification. The actual data required to determine the responsibility will only be available on the destination system, so it will need to be maintained there. Is there a way to unlock the system just for the maintenance of the data for the responsibility? I am using PFAC to maintain the rule. Will transaction oocu_resp allow me to maintain a rule in a client that is not modifiable? I do not have a client available to check it out - any thoughts out there?

You can transport your rule to the non-modifyable client. From OOCU_RESP, you can maintain the agents in the production client. This is changeable.
