Problem with typing chinese

Try to type Chinese but the system will crash and jump back to the home screen if certain characters were typed in, there were quite a few really common characters so it is seriously annoying. Does anyone know what was wrong?

Normally differences like that between main and visitor accounts indicate a bad .plist in Home/Library/Preferences in the main account. I don't know which one might cause this...

Having problem with typing chinese in OS X Lion

After installing OS X Lion, I am having problem with typing traditional chinese in my own account. Everytime I switch to traditional chinese the computer become extremely slow and the finally freezed. However, when I am using visitor account, I can type in traditional chinese without any problem. How should I fix this?

Problem with Typing Korean (-ㅆ)

When I type in Korean, I have a problem with typing a specific letter: double 's' (ㅆ). It comes out if it is at the beginning of the character, but it does not come out if it is at the end of the character: rather than creating 'ㅆ', it types out one 'ㅅ' and then begins a new character with 'ㅅ'. Thus, I cannot type the word '있다' (copy and pasted from website) because I can only type '잇ㅅ다'; but, I can type '쓰다'.

About input methods for different languages
Some non-Roman languages like Japanese or Korean have too many characters to fit on a physical keyboard. You can set an input method for these languages in International preferences. The input method you choose determines what characters appear when you type, and provides a way to choose between alternative characters.
When you type a sequence of keys that refers to more than one character or word in a script, a window appears allowing you to choose the character or word you want to use.
When you install Mac OS X, all input methods for the languages that Mac OS X supports are installed on your computer. If you don't see the input method for the language you want to type in, you may need to install a third-party input method.
Some languages may not appear unless a font for that language is installed. For more information about the languages and fonts installed with Mac OS X, visit www.apple.com/support and search for "using different languages."
To use an input method:
Open System Preferences and click International.
Click Input Menu.
Select the checkbox next to the input method you want to use.
Select the "Show Input menu in menu bar" checkbox.
Click the Input menu icon in the upper-right corner of the menu bar. It looks like a flag.
Choose the input method from the menu.
If you're not familiar with the input method and how to use it, see the onscreen help for the input method. If you don't see help for the input method in the Input menu, choose Help for the application you're in. When the Help Viewer opens, choose the input method help from the Library menu.

Having problem with Traditional Chinese Zhuyin input after Mac OS X v10.7 Lion

Hello everyone
I just upgraded my macbook pro to Mac OSX v10.7 Lion
and I start to have trouble with Traditional Chinese Zhuyin input when selecting & typing, then the beachball started to spinning.. I couldn't do anything else to stop it. I then had to restart again and tried a several times then the problem is still the same
Is there any way to fix the problem?

Try setting up a new user account and see if the same problem occurs when you are logged into that.

Problems with typing in mac os lion

hello,
just two days ago I had some problems with my MacBook Pro running with Lion, I just went to update my mac os 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 and suddenly it failed to instal
just then I was told to restart my computer. Ater I restarted the computer there was a huge problem, I had a Kernel Panic issues and I realized that my mac OS had crashed. So I clean install my mac using my recovery disk that was given in the box by purchase.

I have tried to turn of the auto correct feature on Text & Languages in system prefrences but it doesnt fix anything.
maybe you have some great solution to fix my problems? thanks before..

If it happens in a new user you may be able to repair this with the 10.5.4 Combo Update This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.

I'm a fairly new user to macs...i have an ibook G4 and recently when i'm typing emails or in a word document, the little carrot/tab will keep randomly shifting around/back so my typing just looks all over the place...is this a virus?
Hope someone can help.

It;s not a virus, just a poorly designed trackpad. Many folks have this problem with the iBook. About the best you can do is to keep your hands a good distance away from the trackpad while typing

Problems with typing-is it T9 or what...?

Recently,every time I try to wright a message or to make some calendar entry,I cant do it cause I have problems in typing-I cant type a word because it doesnt change a letter,but it changes two or free letter or a whole word. Is that T9? If it is,I dont know when and how I've switched it on and whats most important,I dont know how to switch it off and start typing in normal manner. Anyone knows how to make typing normal,like it was before?

Like with my internet issue,Abi99 gave a fast solution... Thanks again! There was number keypad and letter keaboard,I've switched of second one and there was no changes,but switching off the number keypad made it better. So,I've switched off both of them and now its normal again.

One little question aside-how to change ringtone for messages. Yes,i know trhough setings-profiles-general.personalise.message alert-tones,but I did that and it wont change the tune. Is it maybe beacause of the relatively often changing themes or etc.,some of them changing lot of things. It probably isnt that,actually it isnt a big issue,just to ask why it wont change that alert. Its been set to "soundmessagealert" from the sounds (I dont know how it got there at the first place,when I've downloaded it),and I am changing that to some tone,but it brings back that sound again.
How to change it or how to erase that from the sounds,so it cant make a mess anymore?
I hope it wont be to much,but its better to put that in the same theme,then to make another and another one-how to download something from the computer to the mobile. I've send some pictures via right click-send to- N8-00 (I dont know the other way,of course it was with the usb connection),but they were not in the gallery. However,when I wanted to change the walpaper,there was an image option and when I clicked on that pictures were there.
In which folder they are and how to see/open them,is there some better way to download and arrange something from the computer?

I would suggest that you use a screen capture utility such as Snagit to capture your Request Membership box and then insert this into your Captivate slide as an image. This will then enable you to accurately position the graphic and should address the typing problem.

Problem with the Chinese simplified keyboard !

Since updating to iOS7 on my iPhone 4s when writing text using a QWERTY keyboard with Chinese Simplified Pinyin, characters no longer appear, only the letters which I've typed. Anyone else with this problem and found a solution? It troubled me since the day I updated. The only way to resolve this is to switch off then on again my phone. But it doesn't help because when I use this keyboard after few mins it turns to no character shown.

Problem with typing in illustrator

When ever I hold down the shift key when I am typing in illustrator nothing comes up. It completely ignores every character I try to put in. Lower case works but upper does not. Has anyone heard of this or knows a fix I could use? I am not sure what I hit to make it do this.

I have the same issue with a font I want to use. Works fine in word programs, note pad, simple text, MS Word. It will show up in Illustrator's font list but when I select it my type disappears! Yes, it was a free download. I have tryed a lot of things, re-downloaded same file, I have used three computers with illus, I downloaded the pc version(TTF), tryed that, then I converted it to Mac, I tryed it on an older machine and Illus 6.0, I tryed to resave the font and export outlines in FontMonger, tryed to resave as type1 and type3 - nothing, Font Dr. says it's ok but FontBook says there are major problems when I activate it. I don't know what the problem is with this font. Seems like it has the preview info but no outline data. If I know how Illus uses fonts differently than other programs I would have a better idea as to how to fix it. I hope Illus isn't doing something so people will only use Adobe fonts... who knows, no one from Adobe is talking - from google searches, this has been a known issue for a long time.

Try resetting the admin pasword ...
OS X: Changing or resetting an account password < instructions are for Lion and Mountain Lion but should work on Mavericks.

Additional Problem with Smartform Chinese Character Output

Hi all!
This is a follow-up to my earlier question about output of Chinese Characters in Smartforms.
As a recap, my problem is to correctly output Chinese characters in my Smartform using English logon. Using the OSS Note: 776507 that Anji sent, I managed to output in my Smartform preview the Chinese characters. However, when I print a hardcopy, I still get the # characters.
I tried uploading the font that outputs the chinese characters on MS Office, specifically Arial Unicode MS. It was automatically assigned to the printer driver (I think).
Is there anything I am doing or did wrong?

I have installed the lastest version of Adobe Reader (10.0.1) and Adobe Reader Font Pack (Asian Font Pack) and the results are as below:
tested that the file (.pdf) cannot be displayed correctly

Just let you know that the simplified chinese characters may inserted by the software (Free PDF Reader and Writer - Nitro Reader 3.1.1.3).

Problems with typing on I Pad

Sorry to ask so much, but I am new to this and I'm sure that my questions won't be so frequent soon.
I was just in webmail which is earthlink.net and trying to reply to an email. I hit "reply" and then where there is the space in which you normally type a reply I touched the screen, but the keyboard didn't appear.
My question is where should i touch the screen? I was able to reply to emails yesterday with no problem and I'm wondering if I'm just touching in the wrong place?
I've been reading the apple manual, but wonder where I could read more about the touch response for the different functions. For instance, The GPS logo is not always so easy to activate, even my tech person had a bit of trouble getting it to work.
Any tips for this?

I'm pretty sure it should work unless it's flash.
I think there are a number of non-flash email services where iPad Safari cannot yet do what is required for inputting text. MobileMe webmail is one of them.

Problem with typing on 9720

Whenever I start typing a message (both text and email) I get a line or so in and the cursor suddenly jumps back to near the begining. I therefore have to back track , adjust what it has changed and then go back to where it had jumped from. It is extremely annoying - please help!

It is not normal. You ahve a problem. Have you tried to reset the phone ? Maybe you have a different kaymap installed.
@ is next to Backspace, on its left.
Check the pictures on the Internet for keyboard layout on E90 and see if your keyboard is the same. Maybe you have a regional version....
