Problems accessing tables on storage emulator using storage library 3.0.1

I've recently upgraded my storage library to 3.0.1 from nuGet, and now I get a 400 response when doing requests against the emulated table service. I'm using the 2.2 SDK...
Have anyone experienced anything like this?

Please see this:

  • Problems accessing tables in oracle database with ejb entity bean

I have created a simple server application that uses an entity bean (version 2.0) for an existing table in oracle database, and a session bean that is used as an outside interface for performing operations on that table.
after deploying the server and client application the client attempts to perform an operation with the session bean remote interface it obtained.
The session bean uses a locale interface to communicate with the entity bean, but when it tries to use its methods (create, findByXXX) it always get the following Exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.
the table of course exists, and the username password I'm using has all the permissions needed for this table.
note - I'm using the Forte enterprise edition 4.0 as developer tool.
I'll be glad to get some help.

Well it seems like the problems has a simple explanation. The Forte assigns a default table name (<entityName>EJBTable) when creating an entity bean from an existsing table in DB (which is not the same as the one it was created from !!!). Also, for reason unknown, when you deploy these entity beans, it doesn't even create the new table under its new name (even if instructed to).
So using the Forte we managed to use successfuly only entity beans that were created "from scretch" (when deployed their tables are created).
Does anyone know how to change the default name the Forte uses, and make it work properly with entity beans created from an existsing table (without going over the xml's) ?

  • Problem accessing TABLE fields in SELECT statement

    Hi,
We are currently using Oracle Database 10.2.0.2.0.
In the following code, using a function to access TABLE fields works, but not when accessing the table fields directly (in the latter case, I get a no data found exception).
    Why is that?
    Thanks for your help.
    Olivier
PS: I do have a lengthy explanation of why we would want to do that as well as the full packages, etc... But I didn't want to bore you to no end.
    I'll post it if required.

Checkout a simple example down below.

  • HELP: Problem accessing host Mac MSL Mini using "Screen Sharing"

I have screen sharing enabled on my mother-in-law's Mac Mini so I can access it with Chicken of the VNC.

If you can’t share computer screens
If you’re having problems sharing your screen with another computer, or sharing the screen of another computer, there are several things to check.
Here are things to try if you can’t share screens:
Make sure screen sharing is turned on and you have set up sharing permissions on the computer whose screen you want to share.
Sharing your screen with other computer users
If you’re trying to share the screen of another computer, open Sharing preferences on that computer and make sure you’re in the list of users who have been given permission to share that computer’s screen.
Make sure neither computer is in sleep mode. A computer can’t share its own screen or share the screen of another computer if it’s in sleep. Adjust the computer’s settings using Energy Saver preferences.

  • BAPI Problems accessing tables

    Dear Experts,
I'm trying to make a SAP Java Connector. My problem is that, when they are called by Java, BAPI functions don't run in the same manner as in SAP testing mode .
I tested two BAPI functions called through my connector and I saw with the debbuger that BAPI functions don't execute the select and loop at with a WHERE clause when they are called by Java, therefore they throw errors. But in the SAP testing mode functions work just fine.
I'm new to SAP and I don't know why this happens. Would you like to explain to me how to fix this problem?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
You do not need super_admin rights.
Ask your security admin to assign you SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_LOCAL_READONLY, and if your server is on a cluster SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_CENTRAL_READONLY roles in the portal.
This will alow you to inspect the logs.
Be aware that not all ABAP types are not supported from JAVA so your input parameters may need to be type cast and handled internally in ABAP.  Also consider handling of codesets (unicode/non-unicode ie. US/NUS system types also raise compatibility issues).
Here is some useful info concerning BAPI's that may benefit you:
waht is bapi and how to creating the bapi
difference between a BAPI and function module
Have you set an external breakpoint to see what is being triggered remotely for your BAPI? In SE37 --> Utilities --> External Breakpoints --> Set Breakpoints. This will allow you to run and debug from the system invoking the call remotely.
You can also turn tracing on for the iView or use httptrace to track issues.
See below excerpt from SAP Doco relating to US/NUS:
The Remote Function Call (RFC) interface has also changed as part of the conversion to Unicode. The following remarks give a very brief outline of the general guidelines.
So that the RFC works in both USs and NUSs, an additional attribute has been added to the destination. This attribute specifies whether the RFC is to run in a US or a NUS. If an ABAP program uses function modules that change the RFC destination, this new attribute must be filled using another required parameter.
When text data is transferred in an RFC, the following new exceptions may occur:
A text cannot be converted from the source code page to the target code page because the corresponding character in the target code page is not available.
The field in the target system is shorter than the field in the source system. This may occur if data from a US is transferred to a multibyte system.
In principle, you can assume that text data has a different length in the sending system than in the receiving system. For this reason, we recommend that you use strings wherever possible. That is, you should try to avoid specifying the length of text data. You can, however, send binary data whose length is specified, without any problems.

  • Windows Security user name/password prompt when trying to remote access personal cloud storage device

I have 2TB WD Book Live drive setup at home and is working fine, including remote accessing by internet. However using a colleague's computer at the office recently, her computer would always prompt me for Windows Security username and password. I've tried
keying her admin user name/password and well as the router's admin/admin combinations and still doesn't allow me to access the cloud drive properly. However I have had no problem accessing the same drive remotely using other colleagues computers.
The exact message prompt as follows: Windows Security. The server 192.168.1.1 is asking for your user name and password. The server reports that it is from index.htm. WARNING: Your user name and password will be sent using basic authentication on
    a connection that isn't secure.
Please help me understand the problem and its solution. Thank you.

    Hi,
The IP address 192.168.1.1 is your Router server address, isn't it? I doubt there should some limition in your colleague's system. Please check it. Also you can try to disable security software for test to access your cloud.
The problem isn't your cloud server Authorization.

  • Accessing the same database file using different handles/cursors

Will there be any problems accessing the same database file using different DB handles in a transactional environment? We have implemented a process which have multiple transient threads coming up and initiating DB opens and read/write operations to the same database file using different handles and cursors?
Can this potentially create any problems/bottlenecks? Can someone suggest the best way to deal with this scenario?
    Thanks in advance.
    SB

    Hi,
Berkeley DB is well suited to the scenario you describe. You need to ensure that Berkeley DB is configured correctly for transactional access, the best information describing the requirements is in the Reference guide here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17076_02/html/programmer_reference/transapp.html
If there will be multiple threads operating concurrently, then you will need to design your application to detect and deal with deadlock situations.

  • How to access internal photo storage of iPad using Mac

    Hi,
Usually I will import photos including RAW and jpeg from my camera to iPad, and import photos from iPad to PC later. After finishing importing photos from iPad to PC, I will delete all RAW files from iPAD.
It is OK when I connect my iPAD to a Windows based PC, I can find out my iPAD in 'My Computer' and access the internal storage.
But I cannot find out a way to the same on my MacBook Pro.
Can anybody give me a hint how to delete RAW files in iPAD? Thanks.

Phone Disk (free until 1 December http://www.macroplant.com/phonedisk/ ) does what you want; so does PhoneView (http://ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/ )

  • Errors when accessing Encrypted Local Storage

    Hi there,
I develop an AIR application and some of the users of the application are running into an issue when accessing Encryped Local Storage. Sometimes, when the application tries to put or retrieve an item from Encrypted Local Storage, these errors are reported:
    Error: general internal error
    EncryptedLocalStore database access error
I've searched around a little and it appears that these errors occur for a variety of reasons. Sounds like corruption to the user's keychain can result in this error being thrown (repairing the keychain was mentioned as a possible solution in one blog post). This same error happens to some Linux users (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/492/cpsid_49267.html) when switching between Gnome and KDE desktops too. http://blogs.adobe.com/koestler/2009/07/unreadable_encrypted_local_sto.html seems to suggest that changing of usernames on the machine can have an impact on how the ELS is accessed.
In terms of a solution to this issue, I've seen multiple posts online asking the user to delete the ELS directory on their computer. While this 'solution' works for some users of the application I develop, it doesn't work for other users. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/239605 seems to suggest that a full factory reset of a user's OS gets everything back to square one and the ELS is now usable again - that's not really something that I can suggest to a user of an application. It seems a bit drastic and most users will (understandably) baulk at the idea of a full factory reset.
So, I'm in a position with AIR development where I have to provide a fallback to ELS. Thankfully, I don't use ELS in the application too much, but I imagine anyone that has to make meaningful use of it would be pretty handicapped by the issues above. I guess I have a few questions:
    1. Has anyone been able to reproduce the errors listed above? Are you able to get your system into a state where 'Error: general internal error' appears consistently when you try to access ELS? I've tried the suggestions listed in the articles I outlined above, but have so far failed in reproducing these errors.
    2. If you have managed to get your machine into this state, what is the most advisable remedial action? As I mentioned above, deleting the ELS directory to start anew seems to work for some users but not for others.
    3. Is there anything that someone has tried where they've found a programmatic solution to avoid this issue altogether?
    4. Can someone in AIR engineering comment on concrete efforts to avoid these sort of scenarios in future versions of the runtime? Is there any debug information that I can provide from users of this application that could help diagnose this issue further and possibly feed back to the AIR development team?
FWIW, my application descriptor file is pointing at the 1.5.3 version of the runtime. We've seen this happen to users that are running this application with both the 1.5.3 version of AIR and the 2.0.3 version of AIR. We've seen this happen on both Mac and Windows. I've seen this happen with initial installs of the application and with upgrades to new versions too.
    Sean

    Hi Sean,
Thanks for reporting the issue. As you pointed out (via the blogs and weblinks), we are aware of this issue. And the following blog post talks about the problem in detail:
         http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/492/cpsid_49267.html
As mentioned there, this issues arises because of corruption of keyring database, which in turn could happen becuase of user migration, switching desktops, ELS data migration to a different machine etc In such a scenario, even native applications are not able to access the ELS store (gnome-keyring or kde-kwallet). So there is little that we could do here. We have never experienced a scenario where an AIR application resulted into the corruption of database.
Having said that, if you can provide us a constantly reproducible case (a list of steps which can always get us hit the issue), then we can definitely try to do the best possible in this regard.
    Thanks,
    -romil

  • WRT350N FTP access to USB storage

I have my WRT350N setup.  all computers within my LAN can access my usb storage device.   I can not access my usb storage device using a computer outside my LAN.
if you log on to 99.225.89.229:8080 it will ask you for user id and pass word to log into my router.
if you try to log on to 99.225.89.229:21 it wont even connect asking you for a user id and password.
my guess is the router is not allowing port 21 to be accessed, but I'm not sure.  Any one know how to fix this problem?

Upgrade the router with a latest firmware first..
Once its upgraded reset the router for 30 sec and then reconfigure the router again..
Open the FTP port 21 on the port range triggering option.
Basically port range triggering is for the incomming ports and when you try to access the USB from outside LAN then this port 21 will help you with it..

  • Accessing Tables using global index rowid is taking too long.

I am using Oracle 10.2.0.4.0. I am having tables which are ~100+GB in size which is range partitioned on a date column and hash subpartitioned on primary key column. And accessing these tables using global index row id using idex range scan( size of those indexes are ~7+ GB) taking ~5+ mins which results in ~1000 rows as out put. So is this means there is some structural problem with tables/indexes or its something issue at block level? How to dig more into this issue?

How to dig more into this issue?once you get a chance to run the query and collect some diagnostic info, here are the questions that you should ask yourself:
    1) where is the 5 mins spent? doing index range scan itself, doing table index access by global rowid, waiting for something, doing something else?
    2) how many reads are there and what kind (logical, physical, direct path)? per the entire query and per index range scan
    3) is there any aggregation in the query? if there is, then 1000 rows output doesn't mean anything -- you could have to access millions or billions of rows to produce a 1000 row output in an aggregate query
The best tool to answer these questions is dbms_xplan.

  • Problem with Table Access Full

    Hi,
Please help me how to resolve the problem of table access full, when i am executing query i facing a problem with these. all though i have create index on these is queru but execution time taking too late.
Also please help if there any syntax to run faster execution.
    Thanks in Advance
    Sreenivas

    Hi,
Please try to analyze your tables once with DBA's help.
If the above does not work, try to use hints which will force use the index created on the column.
Do not use any conversion functions on that column, in the where clause while checking any condition.
If you are storing numbers in a character column, try to have the conditional value as character value in where clause instead of number type.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sridhar.

  • Access table cells using tab key with iterators

    Hi,
I use a tableview with iterator and allow users to mouseclick certain column cells. I capture these user interactions using server event "onCellClick". But I cannot access these cells using tab key instead of mouse click. But tab key is a must for visibly challenged users.      Is there any way to access table cells using tab keys (with iterators)?
I use icons in those cells to replace  check box and change the icons to differentiate checked/unchecked status.

    Hi Craig,
    Thanks for your effort.
But I was able to solve my problem. I don't think I gave all the information to simulate my problem in your environment. I used images in certain table cells and was not able to access those cells using tab key or access key. Tag <b><img></b> doesn't have the attributes <b>tabindex</b> and <b>access key</b>.
I solved the problem by surrounding the <b><img></b> by anchor tag <<b>A>,</b> which has both attributes. I did these changes within the iterator method <b>RENDER_CELL_START</b> using CL_BSP_BEE_TABLE.
In the event handling, I had to do separate processing for  mouse click event and key press event for those cells.
    For visibly challenged users:
They can access those cells by tab key or access key and the key press event is used to capture when they hit enter key.
So this problem is irrelevant to service packages (SP38,..).
