Problems gifting playlist - order randomized and Error 1008
I can purchase music fine, so I know my account is indeed working.
But when I try to gift a playlist via the iTunes Store, 2 errors keep occuring:
1. Track order gets randomized. (Not that it'd matter, but I don't have shuffle checked.) Each time I try clicking the "Give Playlist" button, the list opens in the Store in a different random track order, numbered incorrectly. It's only an issue because these tracks need to play in order.
2. More important, I can't finalize the purchase. I get all the way to the last screen, after entering my password, but when I finally click "Buy Gift" I get this error popup:
"*We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (1008). There was an error in the iTunes Store.* Please try again later."
This has been happening all day -- even though I can purchase songs for myself just fine.
What should I do? This is time sensitive. I'm doing this through iTunes rather than burning a CD and giving it away because I feel strongly about paying for music. Bummer not to have any info on this.
Thanks for any help!
Well at least we're not alone. I just sent a support request to Apple. Not sure if it makes any difference, but maybe if everyone does it'd be of use? http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html?form=el&topic=Express%20Lane%20 inquiry
BTW, does anyone know why the playlist order gets randomly changed when I try to gift a playlist? It's confounding, I keep having to cancel and try again until, randomly, the order is right -- which can take quite a while with 5 tracks!

I am a proud user of Firefox. I started experiencing the freezing problem since i updated to Firefox 18 and now I am facing the same problem with Firefox 19. Firefox does not respond to any of my clicks and then I have to close it using Task Manager. This is happening frequently and randomly. It does not freeze on a particular site or anything else. It just freezes randomly. Please do reply if anyone has a solution to this problem.

I'm having problems with my wish list and error -1202
when i go to my wish list to buy something it says error -1202. i also cant add anything to my wish list. the only things i can get off of itunes is free songs and episodes. i have a windows vista and up to date with itunes. i have an ipod touch
I don't entirely follow what you are saying, however photos from your camera roll, don't go straight to photostream on your phone, they go to the cloud and then to photostream on your phone, so it seems the problem is more likely to be with the computer. Mirroring and QuickSync hve nothing to do with PhotoStream.

ORDERS IDOC and Error Notification Workitem in Customer Exit
Within customer exit EXIT_SAPLEINM_011 (ZXM06U33) I'm raising an exception exactly as described in note 132905. Here's my coding:
elseif l_ebeln is initial.
MESSAGE ID 'ZPIIODC'
TYPE 'm'
NUMBER '001'
WITH dekko-ebeln
RAISING ERROR_MESSAGE_RECEIVED.
endif.
endif.
An error message is being posted to the NAST log and I can see it in the purchase order from which the IDOC was triggered however no notification workitem is being produced (while note 132905 says it actually will). Anyone got an idea? Thanks in advance!!!
Cheers,
AndyHi Andy,

Problem combining select, order by, rownum (top-N) and for update
Hello,
i have serious problems with this.
-- drop table testtable;
create table testTable (id number(10,0) primary key, usage number(10,10));
-- delete from testtable;
insert into testtable values (11, 0.5);
insert into testtable values (10, 0.3);
insert into testtable values (12, 0.3);
insert into testtable values (9, 0.3);
insert into testtable values (8, 0.9);
insert into testtable values (3, 0.0);
insert into testtable values (2, 0.02);
insert into testtable values (1, 0.05);
insert into testtable values (7, 0.7);
insert into testtable values (6, 0.4);
insert into testtable values (5, 0.2);
insert into testtable values (4, 0.1);
select * from testtable;
-- without FOR UPDATE
select * from (
select tt.id id_, tt.*
from testtable tt
where tt.usage > 0.1
order by tt.usage desc, tt.id desc
where rownum <= 10;
--> WORKS
-- without ORDER BY
select * from (
select tt.id id_, tt.*
from testtable tt
where tt.usage > 0.1
where rownum <= 10
for update of id_;
--> WORKS
-- without WHERE ROWNUM <= 10
select * from (
select tt.id id_, tt.*
from testtable tt
where tt.usage > 0.1
order by tt.usage desc, tt.id desc
for update of id_;
--> WORKS
-- But what i need is this:
select * from (
select tt.id id_, tt.*
from testtable tt
where tt.usage > 0.1
order by tt.usage desc, tt.id desc
where rownum <= 10
for update;
--> ORA-02014: cannot select FOR UPDATE from view with DISTINCT, GROUP BY, etc., SQL State: 42000, Error Code: 2014
select * from (
select tt.id id_, tt.*
from testtable tt
where tt.usage > 0.1
order by tt.usage desc, tt.id desc
where rownum <= 10
for update of id_;
--> ORA-02014: cannot select FOR UPDATE from view with DISTINCT, GROUP BY, etc., SQL State: 42000, Error Code: 2014
I have tried every single solution i could come up with.
But nothing worked.
My latest idea is to include a comment in the query and set up an ON SELECT trigger which evaluates the comment and enforeces the lock.
But i'm not sure if this is even possible.
I cannot split the statement into two because i need the lock immediately when the wanted rows are selected.
One major criteria for the rows is the order by. Without it i get a random set of rows.
And the rownum <= 10 is also needed because i don't want to lock the whole table but only the few needed rows.
I tried row_number() over (order by ...) but this is considdered a window/group-function which disallows the for update as well as the order by.
During these tests i noticed, that when using the row_number()-function the resultset is ordered automatically (without an additional order by clause).
But this doesn't help anyway.
I tried using piped functions to wrap the select to apply the rownum manually by cursor skip, but this doesn't work either. First of all i wasn't able to wrap the query the way i imagined and second the lock would be applied to the whole resultset anyway but only the reduced rows would be returned.
I heared about LOCK-hints from other DBs, is there anything similar here?
Any other solution??
btw. it has to be high-performance after all.
Greetings Finomosec;No, not perfect.
This is the expected result (ordered by usage desc, id desc):
ID USAGE
8 0.9
7 0.7
11 0.5
6 0.4
12 0.3
10 0.3
9 0.3
5 0.2
This ist the one produced by your statement:
ID USAGE
5 0.2
6 0.4
7 0.7
8 0.9
9 0.3
10 0.3
11 0.5
12 0.3
Use limit 5 in your tests, and you will also notice that the following doesn't work either:
select * from testtable ww where ww.id in
select id from
select tt.id, tt.usage
from testtable tt
where tt.usage > 0.1
where rownum <= 5
order by usage desc, id desc
for update;
It's because the order is not applied to the result.
But the following modification works (at least principally):
select * from testtable ww where ww.id in
select id from
select tt.id, tt.usage
from testtable tt
where tt.usage > 0.1
order by usage desc, id desc
where rownum <= 5
order by usage desc, id desc
for update;
Thr problem here is:
I need to expand the following Statement to the above form by (Java-) Code:
-- statement-A
select tt.id, tt.usage
from testtable tt
where tt.usage > 0.1
order by usage desc, id desc;
The main problem is:
The order by clause needs to be duplicated.
The problem here is, to identify it (if present) and NOT any order by in inner selects.
I am using Hibernate and to implement this i have to modify the OracleDialect to solve this problem. I get the statement-A (see above) and have to apply the limit.
Isn't there any other solution??

Trying to gift playlist and getting Your request is temporarily unable to be processed.

Found this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3603097?start=0&tstart=0 which was really helpful. The problem is that we were trying to change this person's credit card associated with the AppleID from her personal card to her company credit card. Going to http://store.apple.com/us/account/home and trying to Edit the credit card information at least got us to a more useful error message -- it complained about the credit card billing address.
So we went to Plan B, and created a new appleID for her, following these instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534 to get her an appleID without a credit card. It then happily completed the registration process, and now she can download free apps.
When she needs to buy an app, I'll probably be back. (Sheesh, apple, this should NOT be this hard to give you money!!!) -
I have tried to purchase Adobe Acrobat Professional XI this morning and payment (AED 1983.53) has been taken, I received a message stating there was/is a problem processing my order and that I should contact your customer service team in UAE. Having tried this, I was met with a recorded message, in Arabic, and no options to speak to anyone. I have found this process extremely frustrating and poor on your behalf. Not providing any options to speak to an Adobe representative is equally annoying. Please get back to me ASAP, as I need to use the product immediately.
CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

Trying to burn a playlist in itunes and i get this message at the end 'The attempt to burn a disc failed. An nknown error occurred (4450)'. This is with a new Dell laptop running windows 8. The playlist was 17 songs from cd's and itunes. Any ideas?
try this...
This is how I managed to fix the problem...and I hope this helps others in the similar situation.
I tried with another program..latest version of Nero, and this was also stopping at the 'initialising' stage. I was now lost! I thought the last resort is to give Evesham (My PC manufacturer) a buzz. They were very helpfull. Basically go into 'Control Panel', 'System', and click on the Hardware tab, then 'Device Manager'. Uninstall everything in the DVD/CDRom Drives. Then uninstall everything under the catagory IDE ATA/Atapi disk controllers. This is where my problem was, as I only had one IDE channel here. You should have 4 or 5! Reboot your machine, and everything will automatically re-load. I tried burning using Nero and it worked. Then the big test was iTunes. It worked 1st time!
I asked why the IDE channels have dissappearred, and he said sometimes uninstalling Programmes occasionally removes them.
I hope this will help others who are having problems to burn stuff on iTunes. -

Hello DrewyBoi
Check out the article below to completely remove iTunes and associated software in order. Then install iTunes again; your library will still be intact after the installation.

I'm having trouble setting songs in a playlist in a certain order. I've tried dragging from library to playlist in the order I want - it makes order random. I've tried using the track number on the info page once the songs are in the playlist and that's not working either. Any suggestions?
Right click on the playlist name in the source panel, and click "Copy to Play Order" . . . that will put it in the order you have it in iTunes, onto your iPod.

Playlist Problem: Song Loop Order
Since I got a new XP and reinstalled iTunes, my 1G shuffle won't play in playlist order. Everytime I sync it, the playlist order is randomized.
Prior to this, I had my playlist set to order the songs I had listened to the most at the top, like so:
Song1: 1000 plays
Song2: 999 plays
Song3: 993 plays
Song4: 984 plays
And so on...
What's the point of having a playlist option when it's the same as randomizing it?Yeah... same thing happened when I downloaded Season 2 of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. They all transfered over fine, but in complete wrong order. *****, because the show follows a serial time-line and now it's all messed up.
Anyone help? -
Laptop Restarts randomly and Freezes with graphic errors
Hello,
I've been having some strange issues with my computer and would like some help with determining the cause.
It will do the following:
1. Restart randomly. Screen goes dark and immediately jumps to the Toshiba screen that is seen when the system starts
2. System will freeze, leaving screen with green lines over what it was originally showing.
3. System occasionally has Blue Screen Of Death instead of number 1.
Note: Both of these errors happen regardless of the system's heat and my McAffe full scan returned no results (over 20 hours of scanning). Using the system in safe mode causes these errors to stop, I think. In doing so, I was able to complete such
a long scan when my computer was otherwise in a fit of its restarting "bouts."
System:
Toshiba Satellite L775d-S7222
Purchased 2 years ago. First error stated a year ago, second half a year ago.
Here is a link to my system and application log files for the last 24 hours. Note that I had error 1 at 7:58pm Wednesday march 12, 2014 and error 2 at 8:03 pm Wednesday march 12, 2014. From researching these problems I found that these logs would show
issues, but I am not sure how to interpolate them. Could someone help me with what they are indicating is the problem or what I need to look at that would indicate the problem?

Thanks a lot

You have quite a few issues and the log file is over 100,000 entries. It might be a good idea to clear these logs once in a while.
In my first glance at this you have two active Malware applications and that in itself can cause freezes and crashes.
They both should be removed and MSE should be used in their place. This may fix the problem. If it doesnt please clear your event viewer logs and upload the following.
Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:
Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
Expand Custom Views
Click Administrative Events
Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the .zip file to Onedrive or a file sharing service and put a link to it in your next post
We do need the actual DMP file as theyvcontain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.
We prefer at least 2 DMP files to spot trends and confirm the cause.
Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here
If you have any questions about the procedure please ask

Create random order slideshow and burn to dvd
I am trying to create a random order slideshow and burn it to a dvd playable on a dvd player. I tried creating the slideshow in iphoto using the album mode, and was successful in creating the slideshow, but cannot save, export or burn. Would appreciate any help.
Thanks for your help!
I am trying to make a slide show of 900+ photos. I moved the photos from a CD into iPhoto. Originally I tried Magic iDVD, dropped the photos from the Event zone into the drop zones in Magic iDVD, chose a theme and previewed. The slides were shuffled from the beginning, and at first I thought that some of the themes allowed the shuffling of the slides as an effect. However, I did notice that the slides remained in the same order regardless of the theme chosen, but wasn't sure why this was the case. I then made the mistake of trying to eliminate a few of the slides and divide the slides more evenly between the two drop zones. I went back to the Event, opened the folder and selected the photos to be included and moved them to a new folder. From that point on the "shuffle" of the photos was gone and the photos appeared in the order in which they were taken. I spent several hours of trial and error trying to reinstate the shuffle, called Apple, talked with various Apple help and more expert users and finally ended up seeking help from the discussion boards where I found the post explaining how to create the shuffled slideshow in the Albums area of iPhoto . This is exactly what I am looking for--shuffled photos and random transitions! Unfortunately, it seems as though you can only view this slideshow from the computer. Now I am looking for another way to do the same thing. I am new to Apple, and trial and error is extremely time consuming and in this case not very productive. If there is a software program which will create a random shuffle (either Mac or Win) I can always create the shuffle and then import the photos back into the Events folder and create the DVD. Any help/ideas for a successful completion of this project are welcome! Thanks.
