Problems in GP Transport - Deployment of SDA

Hi,
I am facing problems when I am deploying the SDA file which I have created for GP.   The first time I deployed the SDA file, it was showing me the objects inside a folder and I was able to release them. But on subsequent deployment, I was just getting the folder name in the Design time, and nothing inside that. I mean the folder was empty. I tried deploying the SDA file after deleting the folder from Design Time and Undeploying the previously deployed SDA file. But nothing works as I am getting an empty folder always.
Hope someone will have an answer
Cheers
Madhu

When a same SDA file is going to be deployed in GP, make sure the folders are removed from the Deleted Items folder as well.

    capaMedia.jsp
HTTP transport error: java.net.ConnectException: Tried all:
'1' addresses, but could not connect over HTTP to server: *'localhost', port: '7101*
I believe when you are deploying the application through the Jdev on the Integrated Server , the server is running on the same machine with the address and port as : localhost and 7101.
However when you are using the same application to deploy on Web Logic Server 11gR1 which is not integrated server, then you much check what is the hostname and port of the Server from the config.xml file and make change in the capaMedia.jsp accordingly.

  • Problem in Servlet Compilation & Deployment

    Hi Friends,
I have problem regarding Servlet Compilation & Deployment.
At the time of compilation gives error message "import javax.servlet.* is not a recognize package.
My J2ee Server gives FATAL Error it says it should be work on JDK1.2 or later.
    My JDK is :-j2sdk1.4.2_04
    MY J2EE Server is:-j2sdkee1.2.1
    My Servlet Runner is:-JSDK2.0
My Java Enviorment is:- Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_04-b05)
    Path setting is:-
    Class Path=C:\j2sdk1.4.2_04\lib;C:\j2sdkee1.2.1\lib\j2ee.jar;C:\JSDK2.0\lib
    CommonProgramFiles=C:\Program Files\Common Files

    ComSpec=C:\WINNT\system32\cmd.exe
Please help me and give the desired result as soon as you all can
    Your's Harish
    Thanks

At the time of compilation gives error message "import javax.servlet.* is not a recognize package. You have to include servlet.jar or j2ee.jar in the classpath when compiling.
    My JDK is :-j2sdk1.4.2_04
My Java Enviorment is:- Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_04-b05)Why are the versions of your JDK and Java runtime environment different? Why are you not using Java 5 to compile and run everything?
Class Path=C:\j2sdk1.4.2_04\lib;C:\j2sdkee1.2.1\lib\j2ee.jar;C:\JSDK2.0\libIf this is an environment variable, it should be "classpath", not "Class Path" with a space in between.

  • Problem when i transported  DTP from DEV to QA

I am facing a problem when i transported  DTP from DEV to QA   It is not in the folder were it have to be,but i can see it in RSBKDTP table of QA

    Hi,
One info regarding DTP, Technical name will get differ from system to system through out the landscape ( Dev, QA, Prod) . So you have to search with Description of the DTP instead of technical name.

    any help would be appreciated
    Thanks,

    Hi Stefan,
I placed the SDA file in the JSPM inbox directory and the JSPM could not detect this file as hotfix. I am getting the following error, it looks like i need to use the Netweaver developer stuido to deploy the SDA files.
I am getting the following error even after placing the sda file in the respective directory.
No applicable development component(s) found for deployment in Inbox directory
    sappn5\sapmnt\trans\EPS\in.

  • Odd Problem With MDT 2012 Deployment

Disclaimer:  I'm an MDT n00b and barely know how to do anything other than the basics.
The odd problem:  Computers that I deploy Windows 7 to using MDT will NOT (after deployement is complete) pass credentials to our proxy (Smoothwall - NTLM Authentication) and cannot not access the internet.  It doesn't matter the flavor of Windows
7: 32bit/64bit or Pro/Ultimate same result.  Does this on an unpatched machine with only IE8 or a fully patched machine with IE9.  I've diddled all the security and connection settings in IE that I know to diddle with the same result. And it's not
just an IE problem.  It does it with Firefox, too.  Now getting to intranet sites is no problem... this is strictly an internet proxy authentication issue.
Now... why am I asking the MDT forum about this?  Because I can load Windows 7 the old fashioned way with a DVD made from the same ISO that I used when setting up MDT and it works fine.
So  MDT must be doing something differently when deploying Win 7.  As a side note, when I deploy Windows 8 using MDT we do not have this issue. Maybe Microsoft just wants me to upgrade? :)
Everything else about the computer seems quite normal.  No undetected drivers.  Windows activates normally.  I can join the domain either during or after the process.  Install applications automatically.  I mean the whole MDT process
seems to be working great otherwise.
    Help?  Please?

Yes, I found a way to undo this in my environment without needing to reimage all of the computers.
    There are two problems:
    1. GP items in the Administrative Template were modified.
    2. GP items in the Security section were modified.
    Problem 1
To address problem #1 delete the folder "%SystemRoot%\System32\GroupPolicy":
    rd /s /q "%SystemRoot%\System32\GroupPolicy"
    Problem 2
To address problem #2, it gets a little more complicated since there is no easy way to "revert" to the default in Win7.  The only workaround is to import new settings.  To accomplish this, I ran the following from a FRESHLY installed non-domain
joined computer that did not have the local GPO pack applied:
    secedit /export /cfg secConf.inf
Then on the "bad" system that had the local GPO applied, I ran:
    secedit /configure /db secedit.sdb /cfg secConf.inf /overwrite /quiet
I also found that I needed to delete the following keys since they did not exist on my safe/good image:
    reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" /v "DisableCAD" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "LmCompatibilityLevel" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "SCENoApplyLegacyAuditPolicy" /f
And for some reason (and this was not consistent), I also found that I needed to delete the following on some systems:
    reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /f
    Full Solution
Here is everything I ran against my "bad" systems that were domain joined in production use:
    Batch File
    rd /s /q "%SystemRoot%\System32\GroupPolicy"
    secedit /configure /db secedit.sdb /cfg "%~dp0SecurityPolicies-Defaults.inf" /overwrite /quiet
    reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" /v "DisableCAD" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "LmCompatibilityLevel" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "SCENoApplyLegacyAuditPolicy" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /f
    SecurityPolicies-Defaults.inf

  • Deploy webdypro.sda

    Hi to all,
Can someone tell me how to deploy webdynpro.sda file? I installed SAP J2EE Engine 6.4 Stack 18. In order to use WebDynpro there is note that webdynpro.sda should be deployed so can someone indicate how to do that? Thanks in advance.
      Best regards,
    Aleksandar

    Hi Anoop,
Thanks for the help. First of all I would like to ask you some question,
          1. How can you check is j2ee-engine running? is there any port (e.g.
http://localhost:50000) where I can check it?
          2. From Start -> All Programs -> SAP J2EE Engine -P28 -> I've got only three
                Options:
                    a. Config Tool
                    b. Deploy Tool
                    c. Visual Administration
There is no any (e.g. Start J2EE Engine, Stop J2EE Engine) which is typically.
To run engine, at least I thing that I do like that, I had to go to services and to
              Manually start SAPP28_00.
Regarding your suggestion to search for remoteGui, I have found sdm_remotegui.bat, which resides under C:\usr\sap\P28\Shortcuts dir, but when I run
that bat file error arises  because it tries to run remotegui.bat that doesn't exist.
Thanks in advance for your help.
      Best regards,
    Aleksandar

  • Problems related to transport

    Hi,
    I have transport A and transport B.
A contains - CL_ABC and currently is under progress.
B conatins - test cases which are under class CL_ABC.
Now the problem is I have released B and I am still working on CL_ABC which is under transport A.
Will it create a problem? What can be the resolution? Or when I release transport A, work done under B will also work fine???
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Arpit

    Hi Arpit Goyal,
Generally you should transport firstly A and then B because B contains some test cases regarding to A. But you trabsported firstly B right? .. No problem you can transport A, after transporting this request A your program will be workig fine.
Note : Program is not generated when you released the request B, you should release A also. After relese this your program will be working fine.
    Regards,
    Mahi.

  • Problem with a transport Guided Procedures process - INVALID_LANGUAGE

Good day. I have a process created in GP. It contains many objects where Original Language is not English. Also the folders, where the process lays, have the Original Language - not English.
    When we try to create a request we get an error: Cannot export transport request;
    com.sap.caf.eu.gp.base.exception.EngineException: Function module
EUP_TSP_EXPORT produced ABAP exception at SAP system: INVALID_LANGUAGE
    How we can fix it?
Also we tried to create a dummy folder with the Original Language - English and there weren't any troubles. So the problem in the Original Language... If we only could to change it for the existing objects, but the field is disabled. May be there is some workaround to change a language for the existing objects?

    Hi Kirill,
As a workaround you can export this process in .sda file and than deploy it on the backend system.

    Yordan

  • SOP for transporting deployed VC model in 3 systems EP landscape

    Hi experts,
I have a question which I hope to find answers.
My company adopts a 3 system landscape for both backend R/3 ECC6 and EP on NW04s.
Is there any standard operations procedures as to how we should transport the Visual Composer applications?
If there are any documentations, appreciate if you'd share it with me.
Currently, my Portal Admin creates a transport package and transport via the Content Adminstration page in the below sequence:
    1) Develop in Visual Composer Storyboard in Development Server
    2) Deploy to Development Server's Portal PCD Directory
    3) Portal Admin creates transport package and request and transports it to QA Portal
    4) Upon passing UAT, portal admin will create transport request and transports it to Production Portal.
Useful answers that answers my questions will be rewarded with points.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Damien

    Hi,
yes that is only way to Transport the Visual Composer models of VC7.0 .
In PCD of portal you will get the XML and its related info that
that will be converted to Business packages.
but this problems are not there with Visual Composer 7.1 i.e Composite Environment.
there we can creat the models directly under DTR so any body can take it form there and aplly thier applications.

  • NW7.3] Problem while trying to deploy an EAR using ant task

(I posted this in another forum, but I think this is the right one )
    Hello!
I'm trying to deploy a EAR file to my Netweaver instance using ANT but I'm facing the following problem.
I've downloaded all the files from j2ee/deployment and j2ee/j2eeclient as SAP's documentation states, the classpath is correctly set, however I get this error:
    BUILD FAILED!
build.xml:16: taskdef class com.sap.engine.services.dc.ant.convert.SAPImportEAR cannot be found
I've taken a look at tcjedc_ant.jar, which I downloaded from my instance, and it appears that SAPImportEAR is missing.
By opening the file I can see com.sap.engine.services.dc.ant.deploy, com.sap.engine.services.dc.ant.undeploy and com.sap.engine.services.dc.ant.params, but the whole package com.sap.engine.services.dc.ant.convert is missing.
Is it suposed to be anywhere else? All the articles/posts I found state that it should be on tcjedc_ant.jar.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
I guess this example_build.xml is outdated (belongs to NW 7.1).
To build an SDA, look at make_SDA.csh.
    Class is com.sap.engine.lib.deploy.sda.SDAProducer.
To buid an EAR, you do not need SAPImportEAR at all, just <taskdef "sapdeploy"...

  • Problem with links in deployed ADF application to Weblogic Server 11g

    Hi everyone !
I have a query here, firstly, I have created an ADF application using Jdeveloper 11g and have successfully deployed (EAR file) onto the weblogic server.
However, after testing out the application, the linking within the application does not seem to work. Whenever I click on a link or button, the page refreshes but the result is not displayed.
What could have cause the problem?
    Thanks
    Gavin

Are the ADF runtime libraries installed into the WebLogic server?
