Problems to access files in Content Server

We recently did a migration of our DMS.
Initially our DMS was located in Sao Paulo and we changed our DMS server to Rio de Janeiro.
We kept the same version of the DMS, the same operating system and the same server configuration.
After this migration we are unable to view the original files (PDFs, DWGs,
etc..) that have been filed in Content Server.
We are receving the following error when we are trying to access file:
c: temp Regal FISPQ.pdf can not be created.
In transaction SLG1 we're getting the 404 Not Found error.
We debugged the program 'SCMS_HTTP_GET_FILE' and received the error file not found.
Can you help me?

I am also facing similar issue. Is your issue resolved? Can you please guide me how did you resolve this issue.
In my case Content Server and Content Repository both are up and running but still I am not able to access the documents.

We do not know if the criptolibrary ha to be instyalled to the R/3 server to.
We do not know if the CA certificate instalelled on the Sap COntent Server web site has to be installed on the R/3 server too.

Copy any kind of file from content server to network directory

The question:
I nee to copy any kind of file from content server to any network directory.
Explanation
1. transaction CV02N
2. There is attached file for a document in tab "Document data/Original"
3. This file stored in content server
4. I wrote program code that creates path of the stored file that finally looks like
http://cont:8888/ContentServer.dll?get&Version=.....*...&compid=app1.doc
where app1.doc is file's name and I have to copy this file into network directory.
The problem is that this URL open the file instead of just pointing to him
so that no function or method can't see this file and as the result I got message that
the file doesn\t exist.

but i would like to hear a little more from u. i have another question. here in this code (provided earlier), i searched for attribute values in the manifest file, then again i load the required class file from the very url. is it not good to retrieve the whole jar file first, and then check attribute values inside manifest file and load the required class files from that jar file that is already downloaded without going to that url again? how can i do this?

There can be two ways of doing it.
1. N:1 mapping, BPM will require for this.

Create 3 scanarios in integration directory and correspondingly in integration repositoy create different data types, message types, mappings & interface mappings and then in each of scenario us different message interface and interface mapping.

If you are using N:1 scenario then use *.csv in your sender adapter under file name parameter and then all the files will be picked up from same directory.
If you are using second option (3 different scenarios) then also you can pick the different files from same directory. You will be having 3 sender adapters in this case, So, one for picking master data, and another for product data and the last one for transaction data.
So, in case of master data use "plant_*.csv" as a file name and directory name.
In case of product data, use "product_*.csv " as a file name and source directory will remain same.
similarly do it for transaction data.
So by this way all 3 sender adapters will perform their job to pick the different files from same source directory.

BAPI for copying a file to Content Server

We have a scenario where we need to transfer a file into Content Server, create a link to the document in Content Server to a tcode through ArchiveLink, and create a link to the document in Content Server through a third-part application.
Is there a BAPI or RFC that takes the document as input and returns a link to the document in Content Server?

a.when we uploade original file to DMS ie tc-CV01N through data carrier as 'PC' for front end, which is prerequisit for
identifiying original file path.
b. Now whil saving DIR, we need to Check in to secure storage, ie, using Storage category, ex DMS_C1_ST. this will save as document as logical document. here interesting is acuall phisical conten is stored in Conten server as your case ex Z_DMS.
So SAP DMS is made for Secure storing of originals.
Q?is, how to pass PATHS for this during Uploading, using tools ex LSMW.
In LSMW we can upload originals to DMS.
but i don't know it works for Archive linking.

while reading the file from application server i am succesful in reading from dataset but the program gets terminated giving a runtime error "CONVT_CODEPAGE".
the code written is as below :

If I am not wrong you are working on a Unicode enabled system. That is why this error is coming.

Issue with Users trying to contribute a file to content server

I have an instance of UCM 10g 10.1.3.3 installed and off later suddenly some users have started getting the message "Unable to build check in form. User '<username>' does not have sufficient privileges." when they try to checkin a file.
I checked the user admin to see these users previliges and they seem fine. I mean they have RW previliges on the group.
When the user logs into the system they cannot see the "New Checkin" option which is also strange.

Yes Tim is correct. Support would say that any direct changes to the DB layer without the CS services layer doing it would not be supported. Only in rare cases where development tells support to do otherwise are direct DB level edits supported.
So approaching the external users getting the correct security as a problem; support would probably suggest something like use the proxycredentialsmap component to map your security from the SSO application to the proper roles in the CS instead of using scripts to create local users and map them manually. Or create the users one time at beginning of the project (using your db level edits to create users and give them roles etc) and test to see if it works and do no integration with a SSO application that can change your users and mess up your plans later.
I would guess that a one time creation of users via script in the CS would be no real problem to support but anything dynamic and coded that would have to be debugged would be a problem. Custom code (even simple custom code in a workflow or profile) is not directly supported. Too big of a pandora's box being opened.

Problems regarding access to the license server

I placed my question in the german forum, but maybe here are some more people who could help, therefore I place my question here again:
I had to restore my system drive (windows) due to a hardware crash.
I did this with a backup software called acronis and mostly everything looks fine.
One major problem is, that I don't have proper access to the adobe license server since then.
CC Desktop doesn't open and PS can't reach the license server as well.
I found a german speaking webside from adobe with instructions, but they don't help:

1. In general I have no problems to access the internet at all.
2. Even SSL communication is no problem.
3. I deactivated my anti virus software (kaspersky) without any change.
4. I tested the link https://ims-na1.adobelogin.com/renga-idprovider/resources/img/logos.png and it worked.
5. Calling https://lm.licenses.adobe.com/ leads to -> Congratulations! You have successfully connected to Adobe License Management Server. -> which should be OK.
6. There is no entry in my host file. Not from adobe, nor any other server.
So, CC Desktop still can't access the license server.
Any clue what to do ??????

Problem in Downloading File from Application Server

We have an Requirement that, iam putting the Flat File
( Output Of a Report ) in to the
Application Server(AL11) By using the OpendataSet, Transer , Close DataSet.
When iam trying to Downloading the Flat File through the FM, GUI_DOWNLOAD, the Data is coming Correctly.
But the Problem is , when trying to Downloading through AL11 i.e System -> List -> Local File it is not coming Correctly.
( Java People is going to Connect with the Application Server for the Flat File )

Problem in uploading file from Application Server

i got a problem in uplaoding a file from application server.i am having two folder (one folder name is current and another one is processed)in application server. In current folder i am having N no of files.I want to upload all the files names into one internal table and i want to process one by one file.After processing each file the file should be moved to processed folder and the files should not exist in current folder.All these process must be done everyday.Please rectify my problem asap.

Japanese character problem while downloading file to application server

Hello All,
We are facing a strange problem while downloading a file to application server when file contains japanese text.
We are downloading vendor and customer information in a flat file format on application server. When the login language is EN program show ouput in a properly formatted manner.
When the login language is JA (japanese) program does download file with customer vendor data. I can see the description is japanese language but the formatting is gone for a toss.
We are facing similar issue with other programs downloading files on the application server.
I am using OPEN DATASET........ENCODING DEFAULT. and working on unicode enabaled ECC 6.0 system

Sometimes this also happens because of your desktop setting.Make sure that your OS also supports the JAPANESSE language.
Ask your technical support team to enable them in your desktop.
