Problems while debugging office integration in CRM 5.0

Hello,
after upgrading our installation of CRM 5.0 from SP 14 to SP 18 I've got a problem.
We use an Excel-Sheet as an attachment in Activities with some text-marks automatically replaced via BADI "CRM_DOC_TEMPL_BADI" by implementing the method "GET_VALUES". Everything worked fine until upgrade from SP 14 to SP 18. From that time on I only get the message "Error replacing values in Office document" (message class crm_documents #204) in the internet explorer.
I tried to debug the coding and cross-checked the data with our production environment. Everything seems to be OK. I find some generated coding for javascript which should do the replacement of values, I guess. Unfortunately I can't find a way to debug or check this coding whether it contains some illegal data or not.
Is there any way to review this coding and to see what goes wrong in the browser/excel without use of third-party-tools?

The best option is using script debugger. It is included in your Internet Explorer.
To activate script debugger, open IE and go to Internet Options->Advanced and uncheck the following flags:
- Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)
- Disable Script Debugging (Other).
If you are using IE8, there is a new tool for javascript debugging by using Development tools. Check [here |http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd565625(v=vs.85).aspx]for info

Facing Problem while Debugging a custom report using LDB

Hi Gurus,
I have requirement to modify a custom report program related to FI. This program used Logical database ZDF ( Copied original DDF) for data fetching.
when i am trying to see the data in debugging mode, its not allowing to check in start-of-selection event. only in the initialization & end-of-selection i could able to debug.
when i put breakpoint in initialization, it is allowing to see the flow till a Get Event occurs in the code, once a Get event occur the debugger is coming out and displaying the report.
If anybody faced this kind of problem when debugging a report using LDB, please share how you resolved it. If there are any other ways to debug a program of this kind please help me.

I checked that way also, i put break point in database program of the copied LDB, but its not allowing to check the flow in that program also.

Memory leak checking doesn't work: SEGV problem while debugging with dbx

I am debugging a program which has memory leaks.
When I do the following:
dbx <program>
(dbx) run <input parameters>
everything runs fine, but as I didn't use RTC leaks checking, this is of no use. Therefore I do the following:

As you said, it was worth to try, but unfortunately, it was not a very good investment :-(
The patch 117564-06 has been installed, and I have retried the same procedure, but the same problem occurs.
As you have mentioned in a previous reply, I have flagged the "rtc_error_stack" before launching the "where" command.

Problem while implementing Application Integration for Yahoo

Hi,
   Im trying to communicate with yahoo server by using Application Integrator. For this I have uploaded the PAR file, created System Template, system Object and Alias also.
when come to User Mapping Im able to find my system that is myYahoo, but not able to enter user and password details. Those fields are inactive.
can any one help me with this?

and URL template fraction for user mapping as

but Im getting runtime error as
Unable to process template   '<System.protocol>://<System.server><System.uri>?<Authentication>', because 'protocol' is an invalid terminal property of the context 'System.'..

SAP Office Integration Excel 2013 problem - dummy window pops up with inplace

Hi experts all around the globe,
we are facing a strange problem by some of our users since they have installed Excel 2013 on their PCs. An annoying Excel sheet pops up while generating an excel file in the background.
They are working with several Y (or Z if you like it better so) transactions, and create multiple Excel files (Excel.Sheet.8 -> .xls) in the background. The programs are using Office Integration (interfaces I_OI_CONTAINER_CONTROL and I_OI_DOCUMENT_PROXY) to create the files.
Method OPEN_DOCUMENT is called with the parameter OPEN_INPLACE, modified, and then closed with the CLOSE_DOCUMENT method, then saved with SAVE_DOCUMENT_TO_URL. The document gets only assigned to a dummy container, this means under normal circumstances the user shouldn't see anything - the file gets created, modified and stored in the background - end of the story. The programs are like 10 years old, and have been doing good since then.
Now some of our users reported, that they have an issue when generating Excel files with those programs. We have investigated / debugged, and here is the thing: in several cases when the method OPEN_DOCUMENT is called, an empty worksheet pops up (see attached screenshot). It also gets in focus, and then in 1 sec is it closing again (as the CLOSE_DOCUMENT is called). This is really annoying when the user has to generate hundreds of Excel sheets (it is quite often the case). The window gets opened and closed with every single file that gets created.
We have tried to identify the problem, but it is user independent, the SAP GUI, Office and Windows versions seem to be all the same - though it appears by some users. The most of us work with SAP GUI 730 Patch level 4, but upgrade to Patch level 9 has also not solved the problem. We have found the notes 1908528 and 1804535. They address similar problems but not exactly the same. We think it has something to do with incompatibility of the releases, or simply an Office / SAP setting we could not think of.
Has someone encountered the same? Any ideas?

We have SAP GUI 7.30 Version 7300.3.9.1084 Build 1496147 Patch Level 9 on the test machine. This one should be the latest available version, am I right?
The issue is a little bit different from the ones described in the SAP notes you suggested. The data is getting "correctly" displayed inplace, but Excel is also getting called up in the same time, and an additional emtpy sheet is displayed, which gets in the focus, disturbing the user. It is just like described in the SAP notes 1425448 and 1567380
To 1425448 (Solution Point 2 below): this is our standard setting, and it does not help us.
To 1567380 (Prerequisites): there is no macro in our sheet.
We could reproduce the issue with the standard report SAPRDEMO_SPREADSHEET_INTERFACE (this is the one suggested in SAP note 1908528 - "Verifying that Excel inplace functionality is working correctly"). The SAP GUI overtakes the focus after a while, as described in the SAP note 1567380, but the empty sheet is active at first, and it is a little bit more than annoying.
How is it on your side, could you please run the standard report (EXCEL, checkbox for inplace set, then Enter) to confirm that the problem exists?

After I got this error I upgraded the Kernel from patch level 159 to 179,

We are applying in support packages in SAP R/3 4.6C HR Development
(TFI) environment. We planned with installing all the SP stacks
starting from 1 to 9.
-Updated kernel, tp , r3trans and SPAM level to latest level.
We received the following error in Import_Proper step of Support
package upgrade. Though the step has been repeated after making sure
that we have all the required files at OS level, we go this error
repeatedly.

While playing around I have deleted the transport from the tp buffer
and added manually, before doing so I made a backup of tp buffer at OS
level and I got following error though I reverted back to backed-up
copy.
- Error in phase: IMPORT_PROPER
- Reason for error: TP_BUFFER_INCONSISTENCY
- Return code: 0008
- Error message: Wrong sequence of Packages in the tp buffer (e.g.
SAPKB46C52 )
I then tried to disassemble the package separately and reran the
import queue. Now I have RC 8 on that support package.
When I did R3trans -l on the datafile it completed successfully.

This is R3trans version 6.05 (release 46D - 27.10.08 - 16:32:00).
R3trans finished (0000).
I verified the size of file "CSR0120031469_0023301.PAT" and it is the

Problem While configuring Integrated Scenario

Hi,
While using Integrated Configuration in PI71, where our scenario establishes communication with a File(nfs) to File(nfs) adapter.
While testing in Integration Directory via Test Configuration, the scenario produces following error:
Problem occurred in receiver agreement for sender - BS1 to receiver -BS2,
namespace.OutboundInterfacename:: No standard agreement found for , BS1, , BS2,
namespacename, outboundinterfacename
where BS1, BS2 are sending and receiving Buisness systems respectively,
namespace - the namespace where both inbound and outbound service interfaces are configured.
Scenrio do not utilizes operation mapping.
I have gone though this thread Integrated configuration (PI 7.1) throws error when do 'Test Configuration' in sdn which states a similar problem but its still unsolved.
Moreover the scenario produces a required output file when it is tested by placing a test file in source destination.
Let me know if you have come across such situation and can provide the proper rationale for it.

Thanks that's very helpful information, Howsoever as I have mention, the dry test {where keeping the file in source destination and getting it generated at target destination} gives positive outcome, but while testing in RWB, the error "no receiver agreement could be found" still persist.
What's wrong while posting file to Adapter Engine from RWB, Is it incorrect to test this way?
@Abhishek Paul, When you say End to End do you refer with the same dry test way as what Salvi has also confirmed as the only way to test AAE scenarios, or you are about End to End monitoring tab of RWB?

I guess this problem is specific to the BAPI which you are invoking remotely.
It might be giving different output returns on different inputs parameters.
Please provide more detail for making the problem more clear, if issue aint resolved.

Problem while creating the Partner Address in CRM

Hi,
   We are facing one problem while creating the new address for the Business Partner.
   When ever customer wants to change the address : we are following one process : where we are
   using 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD' functin module. Becuse of this , new addrss number will be generated for the
corresponding account in BUT021_FS table.But this table contains old address number as a first record, so that when ever
we display the partner address in UI, it is displaying the old address only because first entry of the the table 'BUT021_FS'
contains the old address number.
Because of this , we are getting lots of complaints regarding this.

Try BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE for address change followed by BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT . It works.

We've got a widespread problem with line-endings (\r\n vs \n vs \r) because not all our files have svn:eol-style set to "native". (With this setting, the line endings are adjusted for the platform that you check out code onto. Without it, you can end up with all-Mac line endings on a Windows machine, WindowsMacUnix line endings on a Mac, etc. The goal is all-Win on Win, all-Mac on Mac, etc.)
For schedule reasons, we've decided to minimize risk by fixing only AS and MXML files in frameworks/projects that contribute to our SWCs, because here line-ending problems can throw off line numbers and the debugger doesn't step through the right lines of code.
You can't set svn:eol-style to "native" unless the line endings are already correct for your platform. Since I'm on Windows, I wrote a script to find a fix the files that had any \n or \n line endings. The files now have \r\n.

Document Templates in MS Word (Office-Integration)

Hi there,
i´m desperately looking for help concerning the following problem with integration of MS Word-Templates to our CRM:
We are using CRM 5.0 (as well as PCUI) and Office Integration with MS Word 2003. We created Document Templates (for Object Type BUS2000126) in MS Word witch contain variables, integrated as MergeField in the Word Template.
This works quite well, but we have problems when using switches.
For example field code: {MERGEFIELD ANS_Title   ""} = field result
shows (for example) "Dr.f" instead of "Dr. ". The switch   should fill
in a space if the variable is not blank.
By the way... when I create the Word-Template from SAP GUI, switches give back the right data - but not from PCUI!
Can anybody help me with this problem?

thank you very much for your help. But I think, this SAP Note does not help. The SAP Note is valid for CRM 4.0 - but we actually use CRM 5.0. If you have any further ideas, please let me know!

In the case , I found that "TO_CHAR(PLAN_DT, 'MM/DD/YYYY')" is alaised as a
column name in the resultset. So I am using this as a column in Jato
Descriptor for Plan_Dt. Now it is working fine.

Another approach might be to alias the columns yourself using the "AS
<alias>" expression, and assign them names that you choose instead ofusing
the names assigned by the database or JDBC driver.

Need help with Desktop Office Integration (DOI)

i need help to read an Excelsheet into an int. table.
Its the first time, that i use the SAP DOI. I copy different coding into my Report to get connection to an existing Excelsheet.

my first problem: Excel is really open, and the user can see the sheet. I dont want, that excel is visible...is there a way to start excel in no_visible mode?
second problem: The sheet have makro aktiv...at start from excel, there is a popup, which ask 'makros activate' oder not activate... i dont want this popup... is there a way, to say it from abap, that makros always active?
third problem: i see, that the content Table have this components:
TYPES: BEGIN OF SOI_GENERIC_ITEM,
         ROW(4) TYPE C,
         COLUMN(4) TYPE C,
         VALUE(256) TYPE C,
       END OF SOI_GENERIC_ITEM.
But my excelsheet have more then 10000 lines....
forth (and biggest) problem: i need the selected data into an int. tabelle. The table have the components:

i dont know, how can i do this...

Error while opening office document

Hello Gurus!
I try to use word intergation in WebIC (CRM 5.0). In "Create lead" trunsaction (CL_CRM_IC_ABOXSAMPLE_CR_LEAD class) I have Attachment tab. When I click "Create document with template" buton I get "Error while opening office document" error. In IE settings ActiveX is on. What should I do to make it work?
