Problems with converting date in one calendar into another.
I am trying to convert, say, today's date into a Hebrew or Japanese calendar and put it into a form so it can be printed. I can convert date components but I can't get it so that I can use it with NSDateFormatter to print the date - it comes out as a Gregorian date even though printed from an NSDate object derived from a Hebrew calendar object.
Is there any sample code I can look at?
I have a compaq 3900 which I sync with ical. I use PocketmacPro.

Inserting data from one table into another table using PL/SQL

I am trying to insert values from one table into another using PL procedure, the values I want to retrieve from the table riverside1 are charac_id and charac_type and insert these values into another table called riverside2 , the stored procedure zorgs_gorfs(x,y) accepts two parameters which are 2 charac_id's of d characters in riverside1 then using insert statements inserts these characters from riverside1 into riverside2.

but if you clearly see, DATE will be in the internal format..but if you print it, it will be in dd:mm:yyyy

Instead of all these , please specify the exact problem your are facing . What is it with date field ? . In SAP while printing the internal format will be converted to external. What is your requirement with this date field?

I dont see any problems mentioned in your date field. Both your actual and expected outputs reflects the same in date field.
In SCN you will only get solutions if your question is precise.

say there are two infoobjects X and Y.
X is existing infoobject and Y in new one.
go to infosurce-search for X-create export datasource - map the rules and load the data.
This is one way.
Other way is u can use X as a reference object of Y so that both of them have same structure and both objects will share common database tables in BW which are exsting for X.

Loading Data from one Cube into another Cube
Hi Guys,
I am trying to load data from one cube A to another cube B. Cube A has data around 200,000 records. I generate export datasource on Cube A. Replicated the datasource and created InfoSource and activated it.
I created update rules for Cube B selecting Source as Cube A. I do have a start routine to duplicate records in Cube A. Now when I schedule load,
It stops at Processing Datapacket and says no data. Is there something wrong with the update routine or is there any other way to load form cube to cube in a simpler way?

Facing Problem with passing Values from One report to another

I am Hemanth, I have developed 2 reports. Firast Report High Level Summary, Secong is detailed. First report is developed using Union(4 union) , I am having 4 columns. The report is generating the data. I have used Navigation option on Client Column to move on to Second report. In Second report with in Filter i am using Prompted option. Due to some problem, the client value from first report is not passing to the second one. The second report is getting generated for all the clients.
Normally i have used this Navigate option in other reports and that works fine. I have even tested with Union, it works. This time it is giving some trouble.

I tried the same report with Table option, the value is passing correctly.

Problem in Extracting Data for one cube to another
Hi,
This problem exists in Quality Environment of 3.x version.We have two financial cube.
Cube A1 - Sourced through R/3 system (delta update) and Cube B1- Sourced through A1 cube.(Full update). These two cubes are connected through update rules with one to one mapping without any routines.
Basis did a copy of back-end R/3 system from Production to Quality server.This happened approximately 2 months back.
The Cube A1 which extracts delta load from R/3 is loading fine. but for the second cube, (fextraction from previous cube A1) i am not getting full volume of data instead i m getting meagre value but the loading shows successful status in the monitor.
I tried through giving conditions in my infopackage (as it was given in previous year's loading) but then also its fetching the same meagre volume of data.
Any lights on this will be more appreciable...

As you said below issues is in QA system, please check with below and revert back to me if this doesnt solve your problem
Please check update rules of InfoCube B1 for all key figures and characteristics, you may find certain objects with "NO UPDATE", (this happens sometimes while copying production system to any other system), if you find any object with"NO UPDATE" then compare this object mapping with Production system update rules, if its not sync then change update mode accordingly
Please check number of characteristics and key figures existing at InfoCube B1(production) and compare with InfoCube B1 (QA), if this doesn't match then check for missing object and add to InfoCube B1

Problem in loading data from one DSO to another

I am using Multicube 0PM_MP03, this mutli cube use DSO 0PM_DS02 & 0PM_DS01, data will flow from PSA to 0PM_DS01 & then to 0PM_DS02 using a Update rule, i have triggered my infopackage & i can see data in 0PM_DS01 & i have activated the data in 0PM_DS01, now on right click on 0PM_DS01 i click on the option Additional Functions -> Update 3.x Data to Target, now the request status is green in 0PM_DS02 but i cannot see any data in this DSO, neither in new or active, can anyone help me out in this where i am doing wrong.

This is strange, Check the below points.
1. If the number of records added 0, in manage of DSO2?
2. Confirm if there is a transfprmation between ODS1 & ODS2. If there is, you need to use a DTP (not Additional Functions -> Update 3.x Data to Target).
3. Activate the request and then check.
4. Maintain PSA for the datasource 80PM_DS01 and when loading data from DSO1 to DSO2 choose option PSA and then into targets.

For Numbers '09 (Mac), the answer is no, Numbers does not support references to a cell in a separate file.

I have a main frame when you click on connect button it display the second frame(class) that has 2 text fields and 2 buttons. When i click on connect it check if the data is correct. If the data is correct i want that frame to close and pass the data back to main frame. How can i do that.

the original problem sounded like an ideal opportunity to use Modal Dialog. if you want one frame to display another to get user input then you need to stop the method in the main frame from executing until you recieve a valid input.
you can use your own class and keep all of the components that you have in the connect frame but you would have to extend JDialog instead of JFrame.
there is a way around it!
if you must use JFrame for both, then you need to have access to the main frame in the connect frame, maybe pass the pointer to the constructor??
anyway, when the connect frame is done with its duties, you have to use the pointer to call another method in the main frame that will continue the process. otherwise main frame doesn't know when connect frame is done and by that time, the method in main frame that instantiated the connect frame has long since died.
also, it allows things to happen in the other window that you may not want to happen until the connect frame is done
typically users of software start clicking around on things and you could have three or four connect frames going at the same time
it's really best to use a Modal Dialog, it really can look just like a JFrame!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Problem in passing data from 1 screen to another using BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI.

i am new to the SRM, i am facing problem in passing data from one screen to another.
my requirement is that when we select one shopping cart and press the PROPOSE SOURCES OF SUPPLY button, we will fetch all the contracts that are attached to the shopping cart.
we have implemented a BADI implementation of BBP_SOS_BADI (method BBP_SOS_CHECK) for passing some changed values to the contracts of the shopping cart into the popup screen that is displayed when we press PROPOSE SOURCES OF SUPPLY button and when we select any contract and press ASSIGN ONLY button in the popup screen the badi BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI is triggered.
i have implemented another BADI implementation of BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI for fetching the selected contract and pass the values to another screen, but the problem is that when we select one contract and press the assign only button we are fetching the wrong contract number ( that is in the BADI method BB_SC_CHANGE parameter IT_ITEM we are fetching the wrong contract), if we again do the same procedure for the second time we are getting the correct contract.
i am unable to understand why we are getting the wrong contract in the first time( that is we are getting contract other than the selected one).
as per my understanding i think when we are passing data to the popup screen using BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI we are not updating the shopping cart with the changed data.
can anyone tell me how we can update the SHOPPING CART with the changed contracts data, i have used BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE, BBP_PD_SC_SAVE and other shopping cart FM but nothing is happening.

What version of SRM are you on? Have you check for OSS Notes? I have had trouble with BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI but it was because of other issues. The BADI works pretty well and it is called almost every time something happens to the shopping cart.
I have noticed that sometimes that values are not changed til the second calling of the BADI. I have yet understand why but I think it has to do with prompt processing. Usually, we train our requisitioners to click the 'Check' button to flush things out.
I don't know if I was helpful.... another thought.... could there be an error caught by BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI that is preventing change in BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI?

Transfer items from one calendar to another (on iMac)
I have a question: how can you transfer all the items from one calendar into another calendar? I thought I had come up with an ingenious solution, but it didn't work (see below).
Years ago, I set up a calendar for my wife and I to use as a "family" calendar. After uploading iOS8, I decided to try transfer all the calendar items from our "family" calendar to the newly created Family calendar. I used the Export command to export all the items in the "family" calendar, and then the Import command to bring them into the Family calendar. BAD IDEA. I got a dialog box telling me the items could not be imported because they were already on the iCloud calendar. This dialog box had to be dismissed by choosing either "Ignore", "Try Again", or "Revert to Server". This dialog box popped up FOR EVERY CALENDAR ITEM. At first I thought I was in an endless loop. I finally put a stapler on my keyboard to hold down the Return key to dismiss the dialog boxes. Even then, it took several minutes to clear the dialog boxes. Apparently, I learned how NOT to transfer items from one calendar to another.Okay. I have answered my question. The key is to actually read and follow Apple's instructions (i.e. delete the original calendar AFTER exporting it, but BEFORE importing it into the new calendar.)
