Problems with express xy graph

Hi,
I am new to Labview. I am using Labview 8.5. I wish to create a program which reads in an excel spreadsheet and displays the data on an express xy graph. I have been able to read my excel spreadsheet into labview but cannot display a graph in my express xy graph. The express xy graph plots only one point and I do not understand why. I would be grateful if someone could please advise me on what the problem could be. The block diagram is shown below.

To elset191: I have actually added a transpose array between the Read From Spreadsheet and the express xy graph and it now displays a full graph! Thank you. I mistakenly thought the xy graph read in the data in columns rather than rows. However, the y-axis values is a 2D array. Therefore, ideally I would like each row of this data to generate its own plot on the xy graph. Can it do this? At the moment the express xy graph looks like its only reading in the first row of y-axis 2D array. Would I be able to somehow show multiple plots on the express xy graph for each row of the data?
To Dennis Knutson: Apologies, but i thought it would have been assumed that as you cannot read in native excel files as you said, then obviously I had converted the file if I initially stated I had read it into Labview. Also, as stated above the y-axis is actually a 2D array which is why I used the 2D array to display it. Granted, the x-axis values is a single array but no problems were incurred so I did not get around to changing it.

The method (SetWindowTitle) that Express is complaining about is my
own method, that I added a while back. Why should Express be
complaining about a method that it doesn't generate.

that we had before. We had to create a new repository and re-imported
exported projects (*.pex ascii format). Ever since then, I've been

Bob, you're not going to believe this but I must confess. As I was online with support, he had me try to reinstall 5.5 so I could tell him the exact error message I was getting. Well, I suddenly realized that there were more options as to which software I was trying to upgrade and that I had chosen the wrong one. Once I put in the correct software selection it installed. Now, however, there are several error messages that came up at the end of the installation. So I have to deal with that now. I briefly ran Premiere just to see if it would work and it did but I am sure there are functions that will not work until fixed. What next. The good news is that the serial number problem is over, my bad.

Problems with Flash Line Graphs

I have two problems with the new Flash Line Graphs in APEX 3.1
1. I have created a query that returns a set number of rows. Sometimes the VALUE for a specific row might be null. When this occurs the LABEL data does not show up on the X axis. I want the LABEL data to show up no matter what. How do I accomplish this?
2. Related to the above query. When the VALUE field is null for 3 records (or more) in a row, not only does the LABEL data for those records not display, the VALUE and LABEL data for the records that appear in the set after these 3 records also do not display. If one or even two null VALUE fields appears in a row, things are still OK. What do I need to do to get all my data to display?
Any help would be appreciated.

Problem with Express Connection Utility, acces provider DLL

I have installed Oracle Financial Analyzer 6.3.0, and when i want to start the program Express Connection Utility i get the error "Can't find access provider DLL" I don't know what the access provider dll's are, could some one say what those DLL's are or help me with my problem.

Try setting up the extended network again. This time, keep the Express (AX) in the same room as the Time Capsule (TC). Allow both base stations to restart.
Leave them together until you can verify that the extended network configuration is working. Once verified you can place the AX at the desired location. Note: Placement of the extending base station is critical for overall bandwidth performance of your extended network. Please check out the following AirPort User Tip for details.

Problem With Plotting a graph

Hi,
I need help plotting a graph.
The situation is .... I have data of speed against time. Data is like this : a truck runs at some speed until 10 o clock. Now the driver changes time of the speed vs. time tracking device back to 9 o clock. Now if I plot this data it becomes a invalid graph as between 9 - 10 I will be having two values for the speed.
I thought of a solution that when ever a time change occurs I will drop the speed to 0 and again start plotting the graph with next point on the scale of x axis with the new set time ...... Is this possible ?

Here is a photo of what I want to do with the graph.
Here as the values that i am mappinng on x axis are repeated the graph is not one to one. Now to make it look like a one to one i want to drop it zero at the first 6. the restart the scale after 6 as 5 and continue mapping. Is this possible ?? ??

Problem with customization of graph

Hi experts,
I am facing some problem in customizing graphs created through Report Builder. I am having some values on x-axis like employee name (emp-code).
e.g. Janak Nirmal (007)
I did one thing that i m only displaying emp-code on x-axis. i.e. 007
now i want to show user also which emp-code is bind to employee name any where in graph.
i.e. 007=Janak Nirmal
is this customization possible ?
how do i include it in jsp page ? how do i customize graph x-axis.
Is there any way to do this ?

Problem with Expression Editor

Hi,
I am working with ODI, at the interface of a dimension for Planning not seem to make me run the interface I mark an error in the integration to load data to Planning, marcandomelo as "Error 7000". I need to replace a string "HP_Keep, Revenue" with Revenue only without the quotes, but try several syntax, and all brand me the same error (Error 7000)
Someone could be better targeted on the correct syntax format I am working for ODI HyperionPlanning loads, the structure has its origin in a text file (.txt).

If you are trying to load data into planning then I would advise trying to use the essbase adaptors as they much more efficient at loading data.
I take it you are just trying to replace a member name for the data load, what technology are you using as the staging area?

Notation Problems with Logic Express 8

Hello there,
I´m a new member here and have a question about a notation problem with Express 8.
When I´m trying to double measure bars (is this correct? In german we call them "Doppelstriche". They are to divide one part from another... hope anyone understands this), they disappear. I don´t know why, but it happens after about a minute after writing them into the Complete Set... it never happened in Logic 7, it´s a new problem for me...
I thought that perhaps I pushed a wrong button by accident, but even when I did it correctly, securing everything, locking screensets, it disappeared...

We just call them 'double lines' although a double 'bar' line is the thick/thin pair that ends a piece.
I did a simple test myself, just ran some notes in the Piano roll and got some 'score' to edit and dragged and dropped the double lines in place, no problems. I closed, opened, resaved, and played the 'piece' for a few minutes on loop, nothing went wrong.
Perhaps I am missing something but i don't seem to be able to see them dissappearing.

Problems with XY Graph "forgetting" plot properties

I am having trouble with an XT Graph in my loop.
The graph has 10 plots which at any time can have anything from 0 to ~1000 points, often some plots will have significantly less ploints than others. There is a user selectable option to display all points or just the most recent set.
My problem is that I want the graph to reflect the input data by plotting a single point at the time of an update, so I have a string of points rather than a line.
When I right click the graph and go into properties, I change the point style to solid circle and turn off line interpolation. I then click save these values as default, and save the vi.
However, once I run the vi, the graph always reverts plots 1 to 9 (not plot 0, this stays as I want it) to have no points displayed and line interpolation on.
Has anyone had this problem before? Ho did you fix it?
I know it can be fixed, as I had this probelm a few months ago on a similar vi and after weeks of struggle I solved it, however I just cannot remember how I did it.
Thank you for any help, at the moment I can't post any code. Note that the data the graph shows is all perfectly fine, just the plot properties are being forgotten.

In relation to the problem expressed in your initial post:

This is due to a bug in the LabVIEW software whereby any changes that are made to the plot properties (e.g. to change the colour of a plot) will not be retained, except in plot 0 which is unaffected. Our R&D department are currently investigating this problem so that it can be fixed in future version of the software. The recommended workaround for this problem is to pragmatically set the plot settings at the beginning of the code using property nodes.
As I understand it, this is not the main problem that you are experiencing. If you set up the properties for a plot (using some of the described property nodes) which is subsequently removed or rewritten on an XY Graph, my understanding is that there is no way that LabVIEW can remember and retain these properties.
As you rightly suggested, one way of conveniently overcoming this problem would be to set default plot properties so that when you remove/rewrite a plot and then add it again, it will always default to those properties. Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to do this though it has been recommended as a product suggestion so it is a feature that is under consideration for implementation in future releases of LabVIEW.
I think the issue you need to be addressing is the fact that you are at some point resetting the graph by sending an empty array to it such that all of your properties are lost. If you can find and remove this section in your code, you should be able to overcome your problem.

Problem with Application Express

I installed Oracle Application Express, but I have a problem with the first login and the creation of my workspace.
During login using the username 'admin' and pwd as the sys's user because until now the only pwd I configure when I installed Oracle Express 10g and Oracle Application Express.
When I go to login, the page seems not to take any command.

Problem with autoscale on 3d graph (new)

I have a problem with scaling on the 3D graph (it doesn't work, see attached figures). I've read about the bugs found but this one is not mentioned. Do you guys have any suggestions ? (or I am doing something wrong ?)

Airport Express B/G : problems with manual IP configuration?

I don't know when it started, but I think it has something to do with one of te latest systemupdates or airport firmware updates.
Configuration :
- Airport Express N : only N, bridge mode, IP manual (192.168.1.7), roaming with Extreme N
- Airport Extreme N : only N, bridge mode, IP manual (192.168.1.35), roaming with Express N
- Airport Express B/G (older one) : B/G compatible, bridge mode, IP manual (192.168.1.8), no roaming, just stand alone.
All the airports are wired connected to a 10/100 switch.
No internet configuration on these airports, I'm using a separated router, also connected to the switch.
Problem : The airport Express B/G dissapears from the network : from time to time not visible in the airport utility program, from time to time not visible in iTunes (airtunes). In spite of these problems, he is always visible in the airport network menu. An IP ping works just fine.
When I change the IP configuration of the Airport Extreme B/G from manual to DHCP, there is NO problem anymore.
No problems with the Airport Express N an Airport Extreme N.
Are there other users with the same problem?

Yes on both. Your network configuration would look something like the following:
Modem > (Ethernet) > \[WAN port] AEBSn \[LAN port] > (Ethernet) > AX
do i have to reset the modems and are there any setting i should be aware of ?
Yes, it's always a good idea to both reset both base stations and, after doing so and before configuring them, perform a complete power recycle of your network equipment.
So in this case ...
o Power-down the modem, AEBSn, AX, & computers. (Order is not critical.)
o Reset both the AEBSn & AX. (Again, order is not critical.)
o Power-down each base station after performing a successful reset.
o Power-up the modem; wait at least 15 minutes.
o Power-up the AEBSn; wait at least 10 minutes.
o Plug-in the AX; wait at least 5 minutes.
o Power-up your computer(s).
o Use the AirPort Utility to reconfigure both base stations as required.

Problem with File Based replication in Weblogic Express 10

Hi,
          We have Web application (exploded war) file deployed on Weblogic Express 10, to a Cluster of three Managed Servers (all three on different physical machines).
          We are using File based session persistance in weblogic.xml
          We have a shared location for all the three servers where we will be sharing the Session data.
          When we start the application, its works fine and is very fast, but after sometime the application slows down.
          Troubleshooting the Issue we found that its a problem with file based replication. By using File based replication every user session is stored in form of directory inside shared directory. So after sometime thousands of directories are created inside the shared directory where the session information is stored. So when we access the application, its waiting for lot of time with Message Session Monitor .... (this is because its browsing through the shared session storage directory for lot of time for session information as it has lot of directories) and finally after a long time like 10 mins we get the Application Home Page.
          When we clean up all the saved sessions inside shared directory, the application works fine, But we will see the same sometime later may be after 3 or 4 hours when the shared session directory has lot of session information stored in it.
          Is there a way to clean up the saved session information on file system as soon as that user session is closed by using file based replication.
          We cannot used Inmemory replication as our Appl doesnt support it.
          Please advice as it is a major show stopper in our Production Mirror env.

It is possible to reduce number of live session by configuring very low timeout-secs weblogic.xml. Default is 60 minutes.

I have a problem with oracle 10g express edition

Hello,
I have just installed oracle 10g express edition and I have a problem with the script editor. I can write anything in the window that appears below buttons undo,redo and find, It is like disabled. I use windows XP, Firefox 2.0 ( I have also tried with Iexplorer and It does not work either). I have javascript enabled.
anyone knows what is the problem?
Later,I have installed it in a virtual machine of Windows 2003 Server and It works well but I`d rather use it in my Microsoft XP

It looks like you can fix this if you replace the codearea.xbl.xml and codearea.iframe.html files in the
/i/editor folder with files from an Apex 2.2.1 installation - such as the one on apex.oracle.com.
Since I don't know what the licensing implications are, I will let you figure out the details.
