Problems with Sun xmlInstance Generator

I am completly new to this Sun-tool and when I try to generate a xml instance from a very simple schema
I get this error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.InternalError: namespace URI is null

Like the example given in the "howto" I typed following in command line:
java -jar xmlgen.jar Untitled2.xsd -root {}root
Here is my schema-file:
Untitled2.xsd
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
     <xs:element name="root">

     <xs:sequence>
     <xs:element name="myElement" type="xs:string" maxOccurs="unbounded">
          <xs:annotation>
               <xs:documentation>Comment describing your root element</xs:documentation>
          </xs:annotation>

     <xs:element name="myElementB" type="xs:string" maxOccurs="1"></xs:element>
     </xs:sequence>
     </xs:complexType>
     </xs:element>
</xs:schema>
Did anyone work with this tool and has some experience with it? Or can give me some examples for using?
Please help!!

I think that the elementFormQualified attribute requires these other attributes also: targetNameSpace="http://myURL" xmlns="http://myURL" This syntax defines the namespace that will be used for the actual xml. Then in the actual xml next to the topmost element, you would have this: xmlns="http://myURL". This is because there can be conflicts among elements with the same name. For example, you might have half a dozen or more types called "name" in some xml. This identifies which definition of name is being used in a particular case. The xmlns syntax identifies a particular default name space for the xml (and xsd) that it appears in. That way, you don't have to use a prefix for each and every element and attribute that is user-defined in the xml (or xsd). For example, if you say, <Mine xmlns="http://myUrl"> then a child tag such as <yours> does not need an element such as <m:yours>. Otherwise, it would. This way, only element and attribute names that come from some other schema need to have a prefix. Confusing at first, but it does work.

    This is likely to depend on the version of the OC you have. The released one isn't supposed to work with Outlook 2003. Please contact Tech Support for the latest version and help.

    Hi,
    Have a look at:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9320116
    Directions on the installation/configuration and requirements of the outlook connector (for 2005Q4 since you haven't told us what version of the comm suite you are using) are available at docs.sun.com e.g.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/prod/2783#hic
    Outlook connector requires that you have UWC (a.k.a communication express) installed and configured, which has it's own requirements. UWC provides the single web-interface to mail & calendar & address-book. Outlook uses the address-book functionality via UWC, IMAP and SMTP for messaging/email, plus WCAP for calendar.

    Shane.

  • URGENT ! JDEV 10.1.2 Problem with data control generated from session bean

    I got a problem with data control generated from session bean which return a collection of data transfer object.
    The dto's seem to be correct. The session bean load correctly the data into and the object's are plenty of data. Using the console to display the dto content is ok.
    When generating a data control from this session bean and associate the dto included in the collection only the first object level and one-to-one dto object are correctly setted in the data control. Object that represent collection into the dto (one-to-many foreign key) are setted as collection with an iterator but the structure of the object is not setted. I don't know how to associate this second level of collection with the dto bean class to obtain the attributes definition.
    I created a case with hr schema like the hrApp demo application in the tutorial with departments and employees table. I got the same problem.
    Is it a bug ?
    It exists a workaround to force the data control to understand the collection data structure ?
    Help is welcome ! this is urgent !!!

    we found the problem by assigning the child dto bean class to the node representing the iterator in the xml file corresponding to the master dto.

    You haven;t specified the exceptions you r getting ........while starting your default server.
    if u r getting exception about InetClass then connect your system with LAN/Internet then your problem will be solved becoz i m using same location address as you specified, space doesn't matter at all - i think so, it is running fine........

  • JMS problem with Sun Application Server 8.2

    Hi!
    I've just started trying JMS and found a problem.
    I set a connection factory called "QueueConnectionFactory" in the Sun Application Server Admin Consol.
    After this I test this code:
    import javax.jms.*;
    import javax.naming.*;
    public class Sun_JNDI
    public static void main(String args[]) throws Exception
    Context jndiContext = null;
    System.setProperty("java.naming.factory.initial","com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialInitContextFactory" );
    System.setProperty("java.naming.factory.url.pkgs","=com.sun.enterprise.naming");
    System.setProperty("java.naming.provider.url","localhost:1024");
    jndiContext = new InitialContext();
    Object O = jndiContext.lookup("QueueConnectionFactory");
    System.out.println(jndiContext);

    So I tested this code under Netbeans5 and I don't where to find jar file contains the class: com.sun.messaging.jms.ra.ResourceAdapter
    Other time I tryied to lookup this URL: "java:comp/env/jms/QueueConnectionFactory"
    The result was: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException
    I know it is a small code example but if I'm not able to solve this problem I can't go on with JMS.
    I would be glad by any help.

    2: Context ctx = new InitialContext();
    3: TopicConnectionFactory factory = (TopicConnectionFactory)ctx.lookup("jms/DailyDestinationFactory");

    Hi
    In layout change the font (Redo font) thru menu option (Not Font) Format -> Font >Western.
    This may solve your problem...

  • Problems with client.jar - generated from webservices toolkit from JDK 1.1.7

    We have deployed a web application using the webservices in WL 6.1 using JDK 1.3.1.
    The clients were able to successfully access the servlet it generated and download
    the client.jar. Unfortunately this client.jar seems to be dependent on JDK 1.2

    Is there any workaround or fix to this problem, so this jar can be used from a

    Our objective is to use WL 6.1 EJB's from WL 4.5.1 using Webservices. Are there
    any known problems with this approach (Ofcourse other than this).
    Thank you.

    Yes, there is an expectation that the client jar will be run on JDK 1.3x. WLS 6.1 is certified on JDK 1.3x only. This
    applies to the WebServices client as well. For details on platform support see

  • JNDI problem with Sun Application Server

    I am trying to call a extremely simple EJB from a remote computer. But everytime I run the client I get a Class castException. I have used Weblogic and Jboss in the past and I never had any problem with JNDI. I included all the files except for the descriptor. Please help, this is driving me nut.

    First question is what HBA and driver combination are you using?
    Next do you have MPxIO enabled or disabled?
    Are you using SAN switches? If so whose, what F/W level and what configuration, (ie. single switch, cascade of multiple switches, etc.)
    What are the distances from nodes to storage (include any fabric switches and ISL's if multiple switches) and what media are you using as a transport, (copper, fibre {single mode, multi-mode})?
    What is the configuration of your storage ports, (fabric point to point, loop, etc.)? If loop what are the ALPA's for each connection?
    The more you leave out of your question the harder it is to offer suggestions.

  • Problem with PDF content generated by CONVERT_OTF

    Hi,
    We are facing a problem with the version of the pdf content generated by FM CONVERT_OTF.
    Data returned by this FM in the parameter BIN_FILE is in XSTRING or HexaDecimal Format.
    As I am sending this PDF content to a Portal through RFC, they are unable to open the file in lower versions of Adobe.
    The file is opened only in 8 and above versions of Adobe.
    Is there anything which can be done in SAP so that the PDF content generated in SAP will be opened in the lower versions also.

    Can you try with the belos stuff?

    Map PDF table into 'flat' table acording to Unicode flag
            LOOP AT pdf INTO wa_pdfline.
              ASSIGN wa_pdfline TO <l_xline> CASTING.
              CONCATENATE pdf_xstring <l_xline> INTO pdf_xstring IN BYTE MODE.
            ENDLOOP.
    Use this PDF_XSTRING as the output of the RFC and same you can use it JAVA webdynpro. I hope this will provide the solution
    Let me know if you still have any problem
