Problems with the jax-rpc testcase from the JWSDP tutorial
Hello.
I have e few problems with the hello case from the JWSDP tutorial.
Everything works fine during the build/compile/installation phase but when I'm accessing the url http://localhost:8080/jaxrpc-hello/jaxrpc, the server wont find the service and I get:
404 The requested resource (/jaxrpc-hello/jaxrpc) is not available.
I've trippel checked the environment settings and other properties and I don't know where to go to error check.
I've tried to install the client as well but it wont detect the service so I guess there is a problem on the server side.
I'm quite new to the whole "Web Service thing" So I would be happy to get som help.

if you run the tomcat manager application at http://localhost:8080/manager/list, what do you see? I suppose if you have successfully run the ant "install" task after "compile-server" and "xrpcc-server", you will see that your service is registered with its context path, but is not "running". This will be probably because of a runtime error. For further diagnosis of errors like these, I recommend to take a look at the log file at "<%JWSDP_HOME%>/logs/catalina.out".

Problem with printing only 1 copy from the console on an HP photosmart 7760.
When printing 4X6 borderless copies from a memory stick at the console the first picture correctly prints 1 copy but subsequent pictures show they are printing 1 of 2 copies. No matter how I set the number of copies this problem persists.
I have tried to set the number of copies directly and also to the default setting. Neither works after the first picture.
Any suggestions?

I read about the printer issue you're having with it randomly printing out pages.
I am really unsure of what could be causing the problem for sure, however, I have an idea that it could be related to the alignment of the unit itself. The steps I have are below and I'd suggest giving them a try to see if it helps!

I hope that helps! You can also try power resetting the printer and ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

Anyone having problems with art/animation/audio disappearing from the timeline after a save?

I'm having problems with many files losing their assets from the timeline after a save and reopening the file in Mac OS X Snow Leopard. This is happens quite often now and there seems to be no pattern to it. For example, I will open an existing Flash animation complete with sound and artwork, make changes to the animation timing, test the SWF and everything looks good, then save. After reopening the exact same file, there will be audio that was on the timeline will be an empty frame. In addition, there is art work that was swapped out or updated to a character and the symbols becomes empty after reopening. I'm losing days and hours of work and I can't seem to find any answers or help to figure out what's going on.
Any insight would be appreciated!

I'll let you know if it continues but for now I'm planning to learn a new software. Finally have some time to focus on this and if it works out I may say so long to Flash. I'll give CS6 a try but if it's not SIGNIFICANTLY improved (Brush tool comparable to ToonBoom, No losing data, Better Playback, Ability to export HTML5), it's just not worth it anymore. I've been using Flash since version 1 and since Adobe took it over, I hate to say that anything other than actionscript has gone WAY downhill. Many new features but they don't actually work well, or crash at runtime if used beyond a tutorial's level intensity. What's the point of all that functionality if it looks like garbage and can't perform on a professional level? Even if you do take the extra time to work slowly or limited to make it look nice - it loses the data! or now without HTML5 your venues of use are sliced in half? Pointless. I don't want to trash all my Flash experience, but I'm done defending an inferior product and waiting for it to catch up to a modern professional standard. I think my Flash days may be over very soon unfortunately. I feel like the're more interested in defending what they've created, than in making it work or even asking us what we want. I feel like a Girlfriend who's Man keeps promising to get steady work but hasn't after 10 years. Flash...we need to talk. -
Problem with running a java program from the command line
I have this code:

Then I tried to run it from the command line and I did it like this:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: pkg/TestClass
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: pkg.TestClass
...but the file TestClass.class DOES exist in the folder d:\testWorkspace\testProject\bin\pkg\ and the file jxl.jar IS on the root of drive D (like I already wrote, it worked fine inside the Eclipse).
So, my question is: How to run this code from the command line?
I have no idea what went wrong.
Can someone help me, please?The current directory is not implied in the classpath.

My apple TV no longer will stream the music videos, especially when in shuffle mode. Music is fine. Music Videos from the computer library work just fine.

I have just registered on the cloud for the full pacage and cannot download the LR5 from the cloud as a message comes up saying words to the effect. Problems with installing new itune, different from the problems described.
Ok, so this morning when I was trying to access itunes, it said "error, send error report" or something like that. I retried it several times, but it would not work. So I uninstalled it and installed the new version. Then, I when I was trying to download it, it said something is wrong with my "Windows Installer Package"...and it just skips installing itunes... Please help me, thank you.

instead of running the install on line, download and save a copy of the iTunes installer to your hard drive, and run the install from there.

JDeveloper reports: The JAX-RPC extension is not installed
Hi. I'm attempting to publish a JAX-RPC Web Service, following the instructions in the "Publish a JAX-RPC Java Web Service" document from Oracle Magazine (http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/webservices/htdocs/series/jaxrpc1/index.html). I get all the way to the point of creating the Web Service from the Emp.jpr (step 13). When I select "JAX-RPC Web Services" as my "Deployment Platform" and press "Next" I get a dialog saying "The JAX-RPC extension is not installed. Either install the extension or choose a differrent platform for the service." I have, in fact, installed the JAX-RPC extension (following the instructions at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/jaxrpc/readme.html).

I went to the Library folder you noted and the mini bridge extension is not there. I have 4 extensions present: BuzzwordAccessBundle, CSREviewBundle, Knowledge, and STORY. However the PS menu item Window>Extensions, the Extensions is grayed out. Also when I click on the "CS Live" button in the upper right of PS window, nothing happens.
I havn't used mini bridge much because I use Lightroom for organization, but I know I've used it in the past and it worked, so I can't understand how it would just disappear, and why these other things would stop working.
How can I reinstall mini bridge and get the CS Live button and extensions working again?
I'm back. I installed a couple of extensions to see what would happen and the Extensions button was still grayed out. Too shorten the story; it occurred to me to check what mode PS was running in. I had switched it to 32 bit mode so some not yet updated plugins would work. I switched it to 64 bit mode and bingo, everything works now, including mini bridge, though it is still not present in the Library folder you mention. -
I cannot open iCal because of a problem. Can anybody help me? The computer will not allow it to open and sends a message to apple each time. The icon has gone from the dock, but ical works on my iPad and I am afraid to sync it with my computer in case it wipes everything .
I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.

I bought a new MacBook Pro several months ago. I keep losing my wireless connection (my wife, sitting several feet from me has no problem with her iPad2). I find the quickest fix ix to turn Airport off and back on. Very annoying. Suggestions please?
What kind of wireless router are you using? more importantly which protocol are you connecting with? Are you and wife connecting using the 2.4Ghz band? or do you have a dual band router that offers the 5GHZ band? Are you both connecting vie 802.11 a/b/g or n?
The best thing to do is to go into SYSTEM PREFERENCES and select NETWORK, then select AIRPORT and click on the ADVANCED button.
Under the AirPort tab you should delete all the preferred networks and only add back in your network with the proper security settings and passwords.
If you hold down the option key on your keyboard while clicking on the airport icon at the top on your macbook pro. you'll seesome data that will tell you what band and mode you're connecting at, as well as in an indication of signal strength (RSSI) if you write down and post back that information it'll tell us what's going on. -

can works well in the tomcat into wls7,but the wls tell me that some files can't
be found,then i add enough jar files under the jwsdp to the lib directory of the
war package till the deployment success,but when i invoke it in the browser,the
browser tell me "no jax-rpc context available",why?and the same package even can't
be deployed in the jboss,the jboss always complain that the "class not found",but
i am sure the classes is included in the lib jar files,why?who can help me?

What can I do? Get a new SIM and see if it works again?
Get a micro-SIM from the carrier in Mexico that you don't have to manually cut down. If that carrier doesn't provide one, switch to another carrier that is not so low-budget. -
i have an activation problem with my iphone 3gs. i updated the software to io6 using itunes but now the phone will not complete activation because it keeps saydin the activation server is not available and to re try later. ive been trying for 6 hours but it still wont activate. if i try using itunes then it sayd no sim inserted when there is one inserted, what can i do?
You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money.. -
I know why I have been having problems with FF 3.6.16 and the last thunderbird update
I am in Canada and for some reason downloads for both 3.6.12 FF and the last Thunderbird update was the BritishVersions thats why I have UK search engines, not the US versions maybe that is why I am have trouble with my email and addons. The other 2 computers in my house is the US versions.
But there is still something a bit screwey with 3.6.12 some of the addons are not working properly on the other puters. Can you please change the sofware to the US version please????? Thank you

If you keep the wrong language then remove the offending language pack from the chrome folder in the Firefox program folder.
You may need to (re)set the pref "general.useragent.locale" to the preferred language ("en-US") on the about:config page.<br />
You can open the about:config page via the location bar, like you open a web site.<br />
Use the Filter bar at the top of that page to quickly locate the pref. -
