I updated to firefox 4 & had probs so tried to uninstall 2 re-install but when I try re-install any firefox it tells me 2 reboot system but it makes no difference? Plz help, am so used of using firefox & h8 using the others & am not real good with computers ...obviously

2. A required iTunes component is not installed. Pls repair or reinstall iTunes (-45075).
Just in case the component being referenced is not part of iTunes but is rather part of one of the other related programs, it might be worth trying a complete uninstall/reinstall of iTunes and related componentry, as per the following troubleshooting document:

You probably need to uninstall again .. reboot .. and then follow the instructions on this page. With the word 'automatically', yes you do need pulseaudio. I'm sure you could cook up some udev or related rule to do that in Alsa, but pulseaudio would be easier.

I've been using it on all of my computer without any problems. Remember you won't see any positive comments here. Everyone here is complaining about a problem. If you want a good experience with any upgrade or update first make a backup from which you can boot the computer. If you are installing an update, like 10.10.3 for example, always download and install the Combo Updater - OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Combo Update. Before you install any update or upgrade over an existing system you should do this:Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

If you have problems with Apple Apps after installing Mavericks

I had a problem with Apple Apps after installing Mavericks. They would bounce in the dock but never open. The problem apps I had trouble with were CALENDAR, MAIL, and even APP STORE. I am guessing it has to do with permissions when setting up via iCloud. Here's what I did to make my apps work again after the update:
Restart computer, then immediately hold down OPTION so you can start from the 10.9 RECOVERY DISK.
Run DISK UTILITY, then run REPAIR DISK, then run REPAIR DISK PERMISIONS.
After this, RESTART, then hold COMMAND OPTION P R at the same time until your computer restarts three times.
After it boots up, the apps began working like they should have.

Problem with Photoshop CS 6 install

I have a CS6 academic license. I installed it on my laptop without difficulty. But when i installed it on the MacPro I got two error messages "Could not load actions because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered" and "could not initialize Photoshop because the preference file was invalid (it has been deleted). This sounds like a bad download but it has occurred on several different downloads.

I got a call today Akash of Adobe, in Indiana is suspect, calling about another problem with an Adobe product, Lightroom, that I was having. I'd solved that one myself so I presented my problem with PS6 installation. At this point I had uninstalled PS6 but had the application installation file was sitting on my desktop. So he had me reinstall just PS6 (all the other apps in the Wed Design Suite we already installed). After entering the suite license number, which Adobe accepted, we procedure with a standard installation procedure EXCEPT just prior to the actual installation he had me hold down Command Shift Option keys. This led to a question about deleting a file with a YES-NO option being presented. Akash had me delete it and the rest of the application was successful! I asked exactly what we had deleted and I think that he explained that it was a corrupted "Preference" file. What I realized afterwards was I was unclear if this corrupted file was from a previous attempt to install PS6 or was a corrupted file from an earlier edition of PS (my PS5 is working fine and I haven't opened PS4 in quite some time since PS5 was fine). Problems with Labivew 2013 / 14 install - Ni Variable Engine error and Labview does not close, processes do not stop when I run Vis.

I am hoping at all my problems are relateded to a problem I am experancing, when I look into my windows 7 (64bit) event viewer near every time I boot up I get an error regarding the NI Variable Engine which reads.
The description for Event ID 0 from source NI Variable Engine cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\Tagger\ni_tagger_plugin_mxs.dll: Failure to load plugin: Unexpected Error: Unable to get the Interface from the plug-in.
and a second which is the same apart fomr the last line
Unable to load the MXS configuration plugIn: Failed to get MAX Configuration interface for Tagger: 0x80040318
I have tried uninstalling all labview things and I have tried repairing all labivew programs. Along with this I got this error when I installed Labview 2013 so I thougth why not try 2014 and I still get the same problems. I also shoudl point out I use bot 32 bit and 64 bit versions of labivew. I have installed labview on many machines before but never encountered this problem. That being said this was a new clean windows install.
Along with thiese errors labview heardly ever shuts down properly when I close the program it just freezes and needs forshed shut down.
Apart form this I noticed that when I run any of my Vis which I have never had problems with in the past and I stop the program somtiems processes keep using CPU such as "lktsrv.exe"
I really need to get this sorted out because its morstly the crushing and processes not stopping which is rather annoying.
I shoudl also say that these problems are both in the 32bit and 64 bit versions of labview not difference. and no difference if its 2013 or 2014

Thanks for your reply sorry I havetn noticed anybody had replied as I stopped hoping for any responce before then.
I have attached a screenshot of the four processes that seems to be giving me a problem.
I have actually managed to find the program causing labivew to crash was in fact my antivirus software which I have now removed and have no more problems with labview crashing on shutdown.
After removing it I tried the repair feature again for all my labview programs but sadly the one persistant problem remaining is still the four processes using around 13% processor each. I have found out this happens sometime after booting up regardless of if I run labivew or not. So it does not directly seem related to the running of any labview applications but rather a bug in the labview software.
the processes are:
lktsrv.exe
tagsrv.exe
nidmsrv.exe
lkads.exe
as shown in the task manager.
I would relaly help if I can get this sorted out.

Problems with uninstalling and upgrading rescue and recovry

i have ThinkPad T61 with XP SP3.
i am trying to uninstall R&R version 4.1 in order to upgrade it to version 4.23.
when i try to uninstall or run the new version setup i get that the following files are missing:

E71 - Problems with dictonary and languages instal...

Hi to everybody!
I have a problem with my dictonary but I can't find a solution.
My firmware version is 110.07.127 09-10-2008 rm-346 nokia e71-1 (17).
My default pre-installed language is English.
I have installed 2 languages in the memory card: Italian and Turkish.
At this point, I have tried to install (in the memory card) another language (Croatian) but at the end of the language installation the dictionary forced me to remove one language.
I have also tried to uninstall languages by Application Manager with no success...when I have tried to reinstall languages, I have got the same message.
I can't find a solution to this problem.
Can you help me?

Problems with uninstalling and updating Adobe Reader 9.x

I have an issue with updating Adobe Reader 9.4.5. I get regularly automatic update routines and success reports after I ran them. However, when I open Adobe Reader it still shows up as version 9.4.5. So I tried to uninstall Adobe Reader completely. First of all, in the software panel two Adobe Reader versions show up: 9.4.5 & 9.3.5. Of those two, I could only uninstall the Adobe Reader 9.4.5. The 9.3.5 version doesn't sucessfully enter into an uninstall routine. As my computer expertise is limited, I don't know if there are other ways to remove that program successfully. Another odd thing is that when I open Adobe Reader, the version displayed is 9.4.5 although that was the one which seems to have uninstalled correctly. As you see, it's all a bit of a mess and I would appreciate your help with addressing this issues. Many thanks in advance.

You may want to try the following.
Remove all traces of Reader (not only the program) from your system using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. This is no longer supported by Microsoft because it can produce problems with Win 7, but you can still download it from from places like

Then, download the Reader installer from
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
and perform a clean install.

Problem with serial number and installing PSE 12

I purchased Adobe PSE 12 yesterday and the purchase went through. But I never received a confoirmation email from Adobe. Now, when I try to enter the serial number to install, I'm told there is a problem with the serial number and I must contact customer support. Can't get through to customer support though. What should I do? I desperately need to get this program installed. Thanks.

Several mysterious problems with Solaris 11 x86 install

I've recently installed Solaris 11 x86 as a replacement for Solaris 9 SPARC on an Ultra 2 machine. I like the operating system, but I've promptly acquired some mysterious problems. The computer is a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo E2500 with a Pentium 4 HT 3.06 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, an 80 GB SATA disk and a 147 GB SCSI disk.
I have had a few occasions on which the screen goes totally blank, the monitor claims that there is no signal, and I have to restart the machine. However, with the blank screen, the hard drive activity light is sometimes still flashing. This happens predictably when I try to log off (as opposed to shutting down) and when I use Totem media player and click on anything inside the Totem window. The motherboard has built-in graphics and brief specifications can be found here:

Yesterday my PS/2 keyboard started causing the motherboard to beep crazily when I use it. It beeps rapidly 4 times, then prints the expected character. However, the problem doesn't occur at the initial log in screen. The mouse cursor has also gone beserk on one occasion, flying all over the screen (I had this problem with a previous PC, but a different OS, and thought it was a hardware fault, which I why I got this new computer). With the keyboard problem, the machine is basically unusable. However, it is configured as a dual boot machine, and the keyboard problem isn't present with Windows XP.
There are also a few smaller, odd problems. Occasionally all the icons vanish from my Gnome desktop. The command prompt also mysteriously changed from $chris@pluto to $bash-4.1 just before the keyboard problem appeared, although that might have had something to do with me copying my home directory to a different disk and editing the /etc/auto_home file (moving the home directory worked fine). Also, unlike with Solaris 9 SPARC, I find that I have to have external SCSI devices switched on at boot time, should I want to use them later. That's a pain. With Solaris 9, I could run "boot -r" when I first attached the device, then switch on the SCSI devices and mount them whenever I wanted.
After the useful advice I received here about "more" and "less", I thought I'd post these problems and see if anyone can help. I'd really appreciate some advice. Can anyone identify likely causes for these problems? Which problems can I expect to solve and which do I have to live with?

Problem with external HDD after installing updates in Mac os X 10.5 leopard

Hi,
I just went out to the store and bought a copy of the leopard.
I installed it with nothing attached to the computer. Everything went fine.
When I went to update the software I had two packages there that I updates, so I had to restart the computer. when it started again it indicated that it had problems with my Iomega Ultramax 1tb disk. It says that disk repair failed and that I only have limited access to the disk. and since it's ALOT of data on the disk, I don¨t rally got the tools to copy everything to another location and then erase the disk and copy everything back. So does anyone know if there's a solution to this.
I'd be really happy to get a solution on this,

When I'm using disk utility and use "verify disk" I get the following message:
"First Aid failed
Disk utility stopped verifying "UltraMax" because the following error was encountered.
Filesystem verify or repair failed."
